Description: SCP: XXXX Is a electric pencil sharpener. The sharpener is a Staples® Electric Pencil Sharpener, Gray/Silver.
Storyline: On May 18th 2019 a staples truck was bringing in supplies to a staples in North Carolina. at 8:47AM the truck driver started loading the boxes in, they were paper, pencils, and fax machines. And there was Pencil Sharpeners. There was 3 boxes each with 76 sharpeners. One of the sharpeners were off but nobody noticed. It was in stores for a couple of days until someone bought SCP XXXX. It was a 13 year old boy who was already about to go to college. When he plugged the sharpener in it started smelling like smoke. The 13 year old boy thought it was just the "New Smell". But before he could put his pencil in to sharpen it started shooting out pencils from the hole at 60 MPH. All the pencils went straight to his head instantly killing him.
Infomation of the subject: The pencil sharpener turns out doesn't make its own pencils but unknownly teleports to shoot out. This was proven when many office members at the SCP Corp found that there pencils disappeared while the sharpener was tested. There pencils were found in the chamber.
SCP XXXX Was recently brought in on May 15th 2020.
We do know that after plugging it in it takes about 17 seconds before it starts shooting out.
The pencils are like robot-controlled rockets. They aim to the closest person near them and will aim straight to the head. they can aim to someone up to 3 miles away. Because of this at the moment it is impossible to unplug the sharpener. We have tried multiple times with D-Class.
Containment Infomation: Since this entity has recently been found, its containment options are currently unclear on how containment will work. All walls and doors must be covered with 10 layers of hard metal so the pencils don't go to scientist or people in the hallway. Anyone workers who have pencils in a 3 miles radius are at the moment only allowed to use pens rather than pencils.
Update Logs
("UPDATE") On May 22 2020 SCP-XXXX Has been Neutralized, the MPH's increased and it could go through the 10 layer metal. sadly 13 scientist and 7 gaurds has passed away due to its breach. A Anvil was dropped to the ceiling on the entitys room causing to crumble the pencil sharpener. Its broken parts are now currently are being examed to see why the pencil sharpener is like this.
