Item # SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid Keter

Special Containment Procedure: SCP-XXXX is stored in a non-refective glass case within a 7x7 foot containment cell at site Avalon, only devout Christian Personnel are allowed to conduct research within Avalon (see Addendum). A line of Sodium Chloride must surround the containment cell at all times otherwise risk containment breach. The containment cell should be blessed by a Priest ordained in a Christian church every two weeks and a cross is to be placed onto the containment cell door and replaced every time it is blessed. Personnel who witness the cross being inverted are required to return the cross to its original position and recite the phrase "Silentium Diaboli" afterwards the line of Sodium Chloride must be checked for breaks. No refective surfaces are allowed within the site and all personnel are forbidden to have mirrors, any mirror or reflective surface found within site are to be confiscated and disposed of.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a vase of Latin origin containing an entity of Demonic origin, it is painted black and red, the red paint is comprised of blood of an unknown species and regular paint. SCP-XXXX has two handles on either side of its spout and are comprised of gold, there is a gold seal placed on the lip of SCP-619 with leather wrapping placed on top and on the neck of SCP-XXXX with Latin writing translating to "Keep Him In Oh Father Above". SCP-XXXX bears an interpretation of what seems to be Angels on it battling a Demon toward a pit of fire. Personnel have given it the name "Devil's Jar". Subject was discovered in an underground city underneath Venice after reports of citizens hearing voices in their sleep and several sewer workers went missing.

Report: This report is from Agent ██████ who led the expedition into the underground city: "We entered the city and found…nothing, nothing was alive in the city, we even scanned for microbes and found nothing, the streets were littered with the skeletons of the former inhabitants but something didn't feel right, the skeletons were perfectly preserved, no breakage in structure unless evidence of a fall from a higher place, there were no signs of the flesh on them being decayed, we can assume that whatever is in that Jar did this to them. We explored some more and saw a number of broken windows and mirrors, anomaly might have properties pertaining to reflections. At the center of the city we saw a large building what we assumed was the church. Every corpse we found seemed to be facing toward the church reaching out to it. We entered and found the Jar surrounded by even more skeletons with one with the apparel of a Priest who was holding the Jar closed

Further analysis confirmed that the remains of the inhabitants of the city did not experience decay and were dated to be over 10,000 years old.

Addendum: Due to additional anomalous properties discovered and a containment breach which resulted in yhe deaths of 25 Personnel, only staff of devout Christian Faith are allowed to work with SCP-XXXX and staff who are reported of hearing singing while within 10-meters of Subject are to leave immediately and report for psych evaluation.
