The 'mouth' of SCP-0000.

Item #: SCP-0000

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: A series of Foundation posts have been founded along the length of SCP-0000. Each of these posts have been fitted a GPS and sonar blocker, along with a radio tower. These towers are used for communication between posts; additionally, in the event of a civilian vehicle coming within 200km of SCP-0000, these towers will automatically broadcast the following signal:

THIS IS AN AUTOMATED BROADCAST
EXTREME WEATHER PATTERNS HAVE BEEN DETECTED WITHIN THE AREA YOU ARE CURRENTLY APPROACHING
PLEASE TURN AROUND

A series of unwater pumps have been implanted, each within 195km of SCP-0000. In the event of an unauthorised water vessel disregarding the broadcasted message these pumps will generate large waves,9 in order to replicate harsh weather conditions.

Several chimneys have also been erected along the length of SCP-0000. These chimneys will constantly emit large amounts of smoke, in order to visually conceal SCP-0000. A breakdown of one of these chimneys is to be reported and a repair team will be sent as soon as possible.

Description: SCP-0000 is the designation given to the fossilised remains of a colossal, serpentine entity, located 2,000km north-east off the coast of New Zealand. SCP-0000 is 3km at its widest and roughly 14,000km in length.

Carbon dating has shown that the entity expired roughly 900,000 years ago. A series of tears discovered within the muscle fibres of SCP-0000 indicate the COD to be exhaustion.

Addendum 0000.1: History

The entity appears to have been a prominent figure in mythology, with several ancient religions believing in some form of snake-like ocean deity. Whether it was any of these entities, however, is currently unknown.

A series of cracks found along the ocean bed have lead Foundation researchers to believe that SCP-0000 was unearthed by seismic activity 2-3,000 years ago.
