Item#: SCP-5325

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: Subject is to be kept in a secure containment locker unless further testing is required.

DescriptionSCP-xxxx appears to be a standard wood chipper of no discernible make. Any object that enters the chute will teleport up too thirty (30) meters away completely reassembled, and physically unharmed. Any living object will have a full memory of what occurred while in the chute.

The excistance of SCP-5325 was brought to foundation attention when local police in [DATA EXPUNGED] Iowa, were alerted a severed human leg found in a residential area. The leg was identified as belonging to [DATA EXPUNGED] Nash, a local resident who was recently hospitalized due to a mishap with wood chipper. The police questioned Nash about his story, but was unable to discern anything of use due to the influence of pain killers.

When questioned by a foundation agent Nash claimed to have purchased the wood chipper at a local flea market several weeks prier to the incident. When using the wood chipper Nash claimed that a large branch got caught in the chute so he "just gave it a few good kicks." As soon as the branch dislodged, Nash lost his footing, and fell in with it, loosing the leg in the process. Foundation surgeons reattached the leg, and administered amnestics before returning him home.

Several test conducted on D-class personal which resulted in ascertaining that the teleportation range in no greater than 30 meters, and the location is most likely random. After entering the chute, the D class will rematerialize, and show signs of increased psychological distress. The distress is not suspected to be anomalous in nature, but rather the natural result of being concuss will being fed to a wood chipper.

Addendum No other anomalies were discovered at the flea market.
