Elevator Pitch: A grossly capitalist-minded anomaly set to doom society. Whatever shape it takes, for whatever reason, it is hell-bent on making money, somehow at the terrifying expense of the rest of the world or maybe the Foundation. Causing no physical or mental damage, this entity's obsession instead threatens society itself. Currently, my intention is for it to be a very non-physical entity.

I'm undecided about the class of this object. It could either be Safe - while extremely aggressive, the anomaly can be easily contained somehow, maybe by simply distracting it or destroying it constantly. Or it could be Keter - barely possible to contain, maybe harmless, but preferably with the potential to world-ending. Either way, the anomaly needs to be amusing or scary.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP is to be kept in a secure growing, with trained staff in standard issue Hazmat equipment watering and sustaining the specimen. Under no circumstances are any personnel to directly access SCP without Hazmat equipment. Any personnel showing symptoms of contamination are to be immediately evacuated by force to the adjacent designated blast site outside.

Description: SCP is a plant-like organism resembling a full-grown chilli plant. This specimen however, is highly dangerous. Any person that ingests or even tastes any of its fruit has ten to fifteen minutes before they explode. Any humans or animals within roughly twenty metres are naturally drawn to its mind-controlling smell and compelled to eat it. In the first stages, subjects start to perspire considerably, as well as hyperventilate. After five minutes, subjects will have a remarkably deep redness in the face. At this point they will usually feel excruciating thirst. Their head will then start to swell to almost double its size, before they finally explode in a 0.1 kiloton explosion.

Elevator Pitch: Inspired by the monstrous monolithic creatures of the depths, I would like to have a stab at my own sea-horror! I understand that there are already some great SCP articles already out there, like SCP-3000. I want to try a slightly different angle however. Do you remember that moment in Finding Nemo, where Marlin and Dory are lost, so they holler at this small shadowy fish for help? Then Marlin starts to realise how big it might actually be as it gets closer? This is the kind of silent, hair-raising mystery that I'm going for. Any of that sound interesting? Please offer advice and suggestions!

Hook/Attention-Grabber: The size and exact details of the beast are unknown. It could be close and very small, but I intend for the reader to suspect and dread VERY much otherwise.

Additional Notes: In terms of implementation, the current idea is that this leviathan of sorts can't simply live in the ocean, so it needs to live in its own watery world, probably a pocket dimension, and therefore would be easily containable by the Foundation, even if its proportions did overshadow them on say a cosmic scale. I'm hoping to also include an incident report at the end in which this normally very passive threat seems to have caused something slightly mysterious and potentially frightening. Maybe everyone thinks SCP-XXXX is tiny, but then some staff start disappearing. Any help is greatly appreciated.
