Item #: SCP-1471-A#01
Object Class: High-Grade Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-1471-A#01 is to be contained esoterically as standard containment guidelines are nigh impossible to follow, instead the entire site inhabited by the member of Foundation personnel known as Rick Wolfe is to be classed as the containment area, Under no circumstances is Rick Wolfe allowed off site without authorisation from at least two (2) senior Foundation members. In the event of an unauthorised breach Rick Wolfe and SCP-1471-A#01 are to be terminated on sight. The nature of SCP-1471-A#01 makes containment extremely difficult, Both Wolfe and SCP-1471-A#01 are to be equipped with permanent explosive collars, removal of these are grounds for immediate termination.
Both collars can be detonated with orders from any high ranking personnel, and SCP-1471-A#01's collar may be detonated by its handler Rick Wolfe. If the entity is seen without Wolfe present or without direct orders from Wolfe then it is to be terminated¹. SCP-1471-A#01 is just as vulnerable to damage and harm as a normal non anomalous human³, however if its physical form is killed it will return to its "mirror" state until it can re manifest, the process usually taking 1-3 days, as a last resort at containment if SCP-1471-A#0 proves too dangerous or actively hostile Rick Wolfe himself must be contained in a cell modified to remove all reflective surfaces, this will effectively trap -A#01 to being confined to Rick's vision rendering it unable to manifest, surgical removal of Rick's eyes may be necessary if the entity is discovered to be able to manifest from a vision state however this is theorised to be impossible at the present time.
Description: SCP-1471-A#01 an instance of SCP-1471-A that has progressed to a point of higher manifestation that all others on Foundation record. It has manifested and is bound to Foundation operative Rick Wolfe as he received the app from [REDACTED] after realising what was occurring he attempted self-application of amnestics which proved unsuccessful as the entity manifested in the mirror in his private quarters after 80 hours of exposure. The instance progressed from there and managed to manifest on a greater level it has been theorised that this is due to frequent positive interaction with Wolfe. The entity can now manifest in two forms; it's "standard" well documented form where it appears in the mirrored surface closest to its downloader and in their peripheral vision and its "physical" form, where it can exit any mirrored surface within sight of Rick that is large enough to fit at least 85% of its full body in, and manifest fully in our dimension, it has been documented to have two separate form of manifestation when in its physical form, one where it is unable to interact with physical objects and can only be perceived by its installer it can however link up to unsecured electronic devices to access its functions such as, microphone and speaker and observe the people around it.
Its second and altogether more dangerous form, it manifests completely and can act like a normal human, it has been observed speaking and interacting with objects in this form. The entity can return to its "standard" form by touching any mirrored surface, the surface does not need to be large enough to accommodate the entities full form nor be close to Rick , it only needs to be physically touched by the entity for the timescale of 5-8 seconds, SCP-1471-A#01 cannot move further than 1km away from Rick and exhibits full body pain described as an "aching burn" when further than 400 metres away significantly reducing its combat potential, Rick also expresses short lived, almost crippling effects including tremors and vomiting for as short time before quickly passing and settling into a mild discomfort at a separation distance of 400 metres, describing the discomfort as a "mental pull" and a feeling that he is "empty" missing a significant part of himself. SCP-1471-A#01's gender has been determined as female from conducted interviews, and it has currently expressed no current hostile intent nor intent to breach, it seems to follow all orders given to it from Wolfe and is thought to be generally benign with little to no goals of its own apart from becoming Rick's "friend" this is theorised to be an intrinsic part of its digital nature and construction. Medical x-rays have revealed the subjects bone structure to be similar to that of a human with a few key differences in the legs to accommodate a digitigrade stance and construction (OUTDATED see Project:SPECTRE Behaviour), preliminary blood sampling was hard as subject proceeded to "fade out" of its physical form seemingly out of fear, after two failed attempts Rick had to apply the procedure. The results were abnormal as the composition of SCP-1471-A#01's blood is more akin to a cooling fluid than anything standard blood, it is a dark opaque grey in coloration and contains no standard blood cells, it is theorised that -A#01's cells can produce its own energy through poorly understood means, the fluid is used more to regulate temperature than carry oxygen around the body, it seems that -A instances can still become fatigued and require rest however they possess slightly above average stamina. The usual organs are present and function as expected, yet seem to be of little practical use as the instances do not require food or water.
The flesh and tissues of SCP-1471-A instances are functionally similar to humans, yet with a dark black-purple colouration. The "fur" on the instances is black in colour and doesn't shed easily, it is a short and rather dense coat but lengthens and smoothes out on the crown of the skull to form long hair, that seems to be of high quality and lustre. The creatures skull is smooth and of a white coloration with slight yellowing, with a few chips and notches that seem to be natural wear, the teeth are unusually sharp and easily draw blood, they appear to be extremely durable showing the ability to put dents in a standard combat knife and -A can exert immense bite force. The hands of an instance are tipped with clawlike nails that are composed of keratin, the same material as human nails, although sharp the claws are rather short extending no more than half a centimetre from the ends of the fingers.
Addendum: Wolfe has expressed desire to trial Project:SPECTRE with the entity, this is currently awaiting approval from O5-Command and would mean reclassification of SCP-1471-A#01 to Thaumiel (Upon further review it is the project itself, not the entity which warrants Thaumiel classification). ¹If Project:SPECTRE has been approved then termination is no longer necessary if the instance is seen without Wolfe.²Reclassification depends on usefulness and worth to the Foundation and R.Wolfe must present suitable evidence that SCP-1471-A#01 is not a threat before reclassification can be approved.³Although susceptible to damage, 1471-A#01 seems able to continue functioning even after sustaining normally lethal damage, debilitating and crippling attacks are therefore advised when facing a -A instance in combat. See addendum 9 killswitch protocol for further information.

program
The utilisation SCP-1471-A entities and their handler for combat purposes, they cannot be seen or heard by others who don't have a -A entity of their own. Think of the capabilities, the handler would have a scout that is capable of reporting back dangers and information without being seen or heard by the enemy. As for the combat potential, I have managed to get my entity to manifest physically rather than spiritually this means that they would be able to fight in combat utilising many standard and nonstandard types of weaponry, the bond between a handler and their entity would mean that they can fight in a unit as one both more powerfully and with more situational awareness. The downside being that the entity is visible to others if shifts into its "physical form" when it wishes to interact with the real world.
Agents applying to join the SPECTRE unit, must either already possess an instance of SCP-1471-A or undergo in depth psychological screening and preparation in advance of receiving an SCP-1471 infected device to start the bond of handler and -A instance. As being constantly watched by an "unknown" entity could have immense mental repercussions especially if the agent already has inclinations towards paranoia or fear of the unknown.
For safety reasons each -A instance will be equipped with an explosive collar removable only by their handler with permission from senior staff, it will feature a remote trigger that can be detonated by the handler and other high command units. Since little is known about SCP-1471-A's physical form the collar should also be primed to detonate if the handler dies, the handlers bio sensor will be wired in or if they wish they can be equipped with a discreet collar that will monitor their life signs
AS OF 2.6.19 PROJECT:SPECTRE HAS BEEN APPROVED BY O5-13 FOR TRIAL
AS OF 8.8.19 PROJECT:SPECTRE HAS BEEN APPROVED BY VOTE OF THE O5-COUNCIL
(Training and guidance):Trial stages include advanced combat trials and weapons exercises, this includes standard Mobile Task Force training and advanced esoteric weapons instruction, explosive ordnance instruction (arming and defusal), evasion and subterfuge instruction, advanced interrogation procedures, armoured vehicle course basic medical training,hazardous/extreme environment survival,assassination/elimination techniques, advanced hacking and dual unit advanced combat partnership (DACP). Operative R.Wolfe is also required to undergo Project:SPECTRE trial stages, this has been deemed necessary to further the psychological bond between handler and entity. All units may NOT withdraw from Project:SPECTRE after initial exposure to SCP-1471 (-A activation agent) as amnestic treatment has been found ineffective in neutralising -A stage progression. If trial stages are successful then both handler and -A instance are to be classified as esoteric combat units (ECUs) agents involved with activities must behave with extreme caution as any perceived hostility to the -A units handler may be reacted to with extreme force from the -A instance as working from -A#01's psychological profiling they are protective of their handler to an absurdly high degree.
ALL INFORMATION IN ADDENDUM "Behaviour" IS BASED OFF INTERACTIONS AND INTERVIEWS WITH PROJECT:SPECTRE'S UNIT LEAD, MTF-ALPHA-9 "LAST HOPE" COMMANDER. RICK WOLFE AND HIS -A INSTANCE, SCP-1471-A#01.
Even close friends of the handler are regarded with suspicion and the -A instance must be reassured repeatedly before they begin to trust others, on the other hand -A instances seem to trust their handler to a high degree however seem to be reluctant to follow any commands that may place their handler in danger either actual or perceived exhibiting a significant amount of concern on behalf of their handler, they also seem unwilling to leave their handler often seeking comfort through physical contact. This is to be allowed as it has been shown to have a beneficial effect on both handler and -A instance, instances seem to be curious about the world around them, particularly anything interacted with by their handler, the instance seems to do this so it can emulate the behaviour and actions that their handler finds beneficial and furthering their "relationship" this behaviour seems to take practice, and -A instances seem initially unsure of themself until their handler reacts, either in a positive or negative way. -A instances seem to be quite timid when undergoing any new interactions and experiences, yet seem to gain confidence fairly quickly, this "copying" behaviour is thought to be useful when training, as -A instances appear to be adept at adopting and retaining learnt skills, this will be studied fairly quickly when preliminary light firearms training is carried out, as it is thought that the -A instance involved will prove adept at "mirroring" the firing stance and actions of its handler perhaps even improving on it, in an infiltration environment this skill is largely useless as the physical form of a -A instance is extremely different to that of a human this means that any -A instance must use its "invisible" form, it has been known to be able to shift between visible/physical, and invisible/intangible form extremely quickly therefore allowing it to "disappear" from combat rapidly and regroup from another position.
As explained in the main description, if the physical manifestation of a -A entity is killed it will return to its "mirror" state, appearing in the peripheral vision of its handler or any mirrored surface closest. In its mirrored state it has been observed to quickly heal wounds, with a bullet impact taking a day or two at most and full destruction theorised to take anywhere from one to three days. Rick's instance of SCP-1471-A notably changed its physical leg structure to conform to a human stance rather than a digitigrade one, this is thought to be due to unsuitable armouring and general improvement in combat performance. The -A instance in question took a few weeks to relearn how to walk with a different leg structure and regularly copied Rick himself, his -A unit has been reported to now match his walking profile to an 82% accuracy, with the difference due to its larger height, the method in which it changed its bone and muscle structure is unknown, as no fractures are present in either tibia, fibula or femur. Subject claimed to have modified its digital code and also states it has no intention to "ever try that [EXPLETIVE REDACTED] again". The important behavioural aspect is, it also remarked, (after the interviewer had left) that it was worth it if it could engage in combat more effectively by Rick's side, yet still regretted what may have included the purposeful and repeated fracturing of all major leg bones and removal of both lower and upper leg muscles via claws before self-terminating in order to remanifest with the changed physical structure.
(Equipment): The distinctive explosive tracer collar worn by a -A instances and their handler for the purpose of remote termination and location/vitals monitoring clearly marks them as part of the SPECTRE program, staff of an appropriate level (4-5) will be informed of its purpose and other level staff (0-3) will be given a suitable cover story as to why the collar is necessary and to exhibit caution when interacting in a perceived hostile manner towards the handler. The handler will also wear their standard MTF battle dress uniform (BDU) and have a SPECTRE:Unit strip below their pre-existing MTF patch and rank sign. All -A instances are to be dressed in modified MTF "casual" wear consisting of a standard Foundation issue shirt and standard MTF fatigue combat garments with an optional jacket, all upper body wear is to be clearly marked with SPECTRE on the back in a large clearly visible block capital stencil letters (much like the collar) across the shoulders and in a smaller but still clearly visible lettering on the breast pocket of the front.
The text colour is white on the explosive collars and black on the shirts, this is optional for handlers but is preferred, in the case of MTF-Omega-1 the unit patch is absent (Rick transferred to Alpha-9), so the SPECTRE:Unit lettering will be placed under the rank strip on the upper arm of casual wear and on the shoulder of Foundation issue combat full body armour (CBA) Project:SPECTRE handlers are to have their Foundation ID# clearly etched into the skin of their back, along with Project:SPECTRE's initials in block capitals across the shoulders, Foundation ID is to be in the form of both numbering and barcode form, the handler must also have an implanted tracker unnecessary in the case of R.Wolfe as all former and present Omega-1 personnel have already undergone the procedure due to a multitude of Chaos Insurgency defectors. -A instances are to be equipped with standard combat gear when necessary, with the absence of a helmet due to their form, the initials SPECTRE are to be clearly marked in block white capitals on the front and back of the CBA additional weapons and equipment are to be issued on the discretion of the mission commander. Armour customisation such as kill tallies, paintjobs,"headshots",ect although discouraged are allowed with the additional requirement of not obscuring the SPECTRE markings in any way. A handler will also be equipped with a Mk I SPECTRE Deployment Device (SDD) for rapid combat deployment and "mirror" form re-entry.
(Combat): A -A instance and handler are an invaluable asset to Foundation operations acting as infiltrators, scouts, assassination soldiers and shock troops the appearance of a "spectre" can strike fear into enemy soldiers as the fact that they are "unkillable" will surely spread throughout the enemy troops as they see them "die", only to return to combat a few days later, as long as the handler remains alive this cycle can go on indefinitely, a spectre and its handler will be regarded as a dreaded presence on the battlefield hopefully capable of inducing a surrender in most troops at the mere sight of them. A spectre's handler must be protected and classified as a key asset in battle, however they will be more than capable of defending themselves, a handler and spectre that have passed Project:SPECTRE's extreme training program will be able effectively to fight as one, decimating enemy soldiers and coordinating precise surgical strikes against key targets, a spectre will also be able to assist in recontainment of many hostile anomalous entities. A spectre and its handler will hopefully be able to deal the equivalent damage of a whole Special Activities Group (SAG) unit as their training will be the harshest and most advanced ever delivered by the Foundation to date.
Soldiers must be taught not to fear the presence of a spectre but treat them with utmost respect, the actual nature and purpose of Project:SPECTRE is to remain classified at the highest level, and the individual soldier should be given a cover story to explain a spectre's abnormal appearance and abilities, the cover story selected so far is that the anomalous appearance of a spectre is due to a Foundation variant of the Banshee cognitohazard developed by the Global Occult Coalition (GOC) that induces extreme fear and panic in its viewers and the anomalous demanifestation ability is to be explained by an experimental cloaking device. A -A instance has been observed to survive dismemberment, complete separation of the torso from the legs, two 9mm rounds to the left eye, destruction of the left hemisphere of the brain, removal of both hands, complete destruction of most internal organs and heart flatline. Many of these injuries have crippled the -A instance but none have actually succeeded in terminating it. The -A instance in question is extremely resourceful, in the previous list when the hands of the instance were removed it chose to use its teeth to shear away muscle and expose the splintered and extremely sharp arm bone, which it then used as a close quarters weapon.
(Testing scores):The test scores are based out of a 0-5 specification in each area of skill, with an overall grade being awarded as an overall score marker. occasionally a .5 mark will be awarded if the grade is in between boundaries (2.5, 3.5,ect)
0= Extremely poor performance:FAIL RETAKE OF BASIC TRAINING REQUIRED
1= Poor performance:FAIL RETAKE OF BASIC TRAINING RECOMMENDED
2= Below average performance:NON-COMBAT PASS
3= Adequate performance:STANDARD PASS
4= Above average performance:SPEC-OPS PASS
5= Extremely skilled performance:COMMENDATION
Accuracy= How close the shots are to "critical" parts of the target

THE FOLLOWING TEST WAS CONDUCTED AT THE REQUEST OF [REDACTED]
Augmented Foundation rifle marksmanship
Augmented M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle (AIAR)- two(2) 30 round magazines total x60 45mm NATO AP (Armour penetrating)
Target placed 600m downrange (optimal single target engagement range)
The standard IAR has been augmented with an onboard computer system, that is connected to a laser rangefinder, wind strength and direction sensor, ammunition counter and digital sight in the hope that SCP-1471-A#01 can interface with it.
Accuracy:

R.Wolfe 4
Total:
-A#01 5: COMMENDATION
R.Wolfe 5: COMMENDATION
Examiners notes: -A#01 successfully interfaced with the weapon, exhibiting extreme accuracy, precision and reloading almost on instinct, the one drawback of this is that -A seemed to experience a kind of "tunnel vision" when they were interfaced,as they were unaware of their surroundings and it took a light tap on the shoulder to draw them back to "reality"
These next tests are judged on a PASS/FAIL basis, and no grades will be given
Advanced Foundation interrogation training (application)
A randomly selected D-class test subject was given a four digit code, they were informed that if they could successfully withhold the information for a period of one(1) hour then they would be released back into society without charge.
Both interrogation personnel have been issued with a standard Foundation interrogation kit and offered class-A amnestics after the procedure to prevent any lasting psychological trauma.
-A#01:— FAIL
R.Wolfe: PASS
Examiners notes: -A#01 was visibly disturbed by Rick's…efficient yet reluctant, methods and refused to attempt the procedure. Both accepted the voluntary amnestics however a significantly larger dosage was required for -A.
Advanced Foundation interrogation training (resistance)
Both subjects were given a four digit code and instructed that to pass they would need to withhold information for a period of one(1) hour an interrogation officer was equipped with a standard Foundation interrogation kit and ordered only to use methods that inflicted no permanent damage.
-A#01:— PASS
R.Wolfe: PASS
Examiners notes: -A#01 resisted the procedure by entering its "intangible" state, visibly confusing the interrogation officer, when the procedure was performed on Rick -A remanifested during the first incision, -A proceed to severely injure the officer present and free Rick from the restraints, although unorthodox technically this counts as a PASS grade for both subjects. The officer was admitted to the medical bay and -A was observed to embrace Rick for a period of two minutes sobbing heavily throughout.
Advanced Foundation infiltration hacking
-A#01:— PASS
R.Wolfe: PASS
Examiners notes: Both subjects obtained a PASS uneventfully, however -A was able to directly interface with the computer systems without use of any external devices and completed the procedure in record time.
Standard Foundation unarmed combat
-A#01:— PASS
R.Wolfe: PASS (previous test on ██.█.19)
Examiners notes: -A could not bring herself to physically assault Rick, even though he was more than able to defend himself and probably would have won the confrontation, however a PASS grade has been awarded as -A displayed able skills when facing an armed interrogation officer in the AFIT tests.
These next tests were completed by required subjects uneventfully

(Project:SPECTRE advanced information THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS ONLY FOR THE EYES OF O5-COMMAND, ETHICS COMMITTEE AND PROJECT:SPECTRE PERSONNEL)
PROJECT:SPECTRE IMPLEMENTATION PROGRAM
PROJECT:SPECTRE IMPLEMENTATION PHASE ALPHA (α)
Details: Project:SPECTRE implementation phase α involves the initial manifestation and acclimatisation of a handler to their -A instance, fitting of the explosive collar device for both handler and -A instance. Physical and psychological examinations will be performed at this point, handler and -A entity will be allowed a period of one (1) month to grow used to each others presence and the behavioural requirements of Foundation employment. Suitability of both handler and -A instance for the SPECTRE program will be ascertained at this stage, with unsuitable participants being discarded from the candidate pool.
Phase status: Completed
PROJECT:SPECTRE IMPLEMENTATION PHASE BETA (β)
Details: Project:SPECTRE implementation phase β involves MTF basic training and combat trials. Live fire exercises will begin in this phase and frequent damage to both handler and -A entity are to be expected, personnel are to be advised that in stage β a -A entity is to be regarded as a highly dangerous entity and should NOT be approached without the handler present and preferably within arms length of the aforementioned -A entity. All participants are to be reminded of the lethality of the live fire trials and are to be given regular psychological assessments to ascertain the mental impact of regular and usually brutal "deaths" of their -A instance. Phase β is the longest and most difficult stage in the implementation of Project:SPECTRE. The -A instance is to be fitted with the combat armour and equipment detailed in addendum 6 (Equipment).
Phase status: Completed
PROJECT:SPECTRE IMPLEMENTATION PHASE GAMMA (γ)
Details: Project:SPECTRE implementation phase γ involves the initial deployment of a -A and handler pair into active combat. This is the final stage of the SPECTRE project and displays the pinnacle of Project:SPECTRE's goal of successful combat performance of a -A instance and handler as a special asset. The success of phase γ signals the end of the implementation phase and moves onto the developmental phase of Project:SPECTRE.
Phase status: Completed
PROJECT:SPECTRE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
PROJECT:SPECTRE DEVELOPMENT PHASE DELTA (δ)
Details: Project:SPECTRE development phase δ involves the refinement and modification of both handler and -A's combat equipment to overcome any complications or difficulties in the field, this includes modification of the -A instances armour to accommodate any problems arising from a digitigrade stance or any other physical abnormalities. The length of this phase will vary depending on the difficulties faced and improvements nessecary for the SPECTRE gear.
Phase status: Completed
PROJECT:SPECTRE DEVELOPMENT PHASE EPSILON (ε)
Details: This phase of Project:SPECTRE focuses on developing the innate combat skills of -A instances, including claws, jaws and reality "phasing" abilities. This is mainly to be implemented by the handler, using mostly unguided one to one sessions where both parties develop and improve upon their abilities. These sessions are to be unmonitored unless proven nessecary, as a close environment is also maintained for the development of the bond and psychological health between handler and -A entity.
Phase status: Completed
PROJECT:SPECTRE DEVELOPMENT PHASE ZETA (ζ)
Details: This optional stage of development is the final and most dangerous stage, utilising black level technology and instruction in esoteric and experimental weaponry, if so chosen the handler may undergo enhanced biomechanical modification to improve upon their physical strength, endurance, stamina and lifespan. These optional modifications are highly classified and any Ethics Committee jurisdiction is to be waived upon signing by the participating handler. The final introduction of a -A instances blood to the handler is strongly encouraged in scientific interest and both -A and handler participants must give verbal or written consent before the procedure may be attempted.
Modifications include:
Skeletal reinforcement.
Muscular enhancement with nanofiber mesh weave.
Digital sight enhancement.
Cochlear speaker implant for -A to handler communication.
Throat microphone implant for handler to -A communication.
Integrated strike plates on elbows and fist, shunted slightly into the forearm.
Spinal reinforcement and fixation.
Surgical removal of adrenaline glands, replaced with autoinjector attached at the hip.
Mental strengthening by introduction of specialised memetic agents.
Alteration of biological composition by integration of -A instances blood to the handlers circulatory system.
Phase status: Completed- Refused by -A instance citing protection of their handler.
PROJECT:SPECTRE CONTINGENCY PROGRAM
Project:SPECTRE's killswitch protocol is to be implemented if any of these conditions are met and confirmed by a majority vote from either Ethics Committee or O5-Council.
Kill conditions:
-A entity and/or handler becomes directly hostile towards Foundation assets
-A entity and/or handler refuses direct orders that are necessary for continued Foundation operation
-A entity and/or handler ceases to respond to emergency communications
Any other scenarios will be decided on in a case by case basis.
There are three priority levels for the violence of action necessitated, usually one will follow the other, but they can be escalated to direct usage, skipping the previous stages. Obviously peaceful methods and negotiation should be attempted beforehand, sending a heavily armed team to negotiate surrender and recontainment before even considering initiating the killswitch program except in dire circumstance. During initial recontainment negotiations all weapons or potentially dangerous objects must NEVER be aimed directly at the handler as the -A instance WILL respond with aggression. Actions must be conducted slowly and non-violently, absolutely NO sudden movements should be conducted towards the handler to ensure the safety of the recontainment team, wherever possible the handler should apply restraints and other necessary equipment to themself. If assistance is necessary a single unarmed member of the recontainment team should assist with caution. If it it safe the handler should accompany the recontainment team unrestrained, the handler should inform the recontainment team when it is safe to touch and otherwise interact with them based on their knowledge of the -A instances current state and behaviour. The recontainment team should obey all reasonable requests from the handler to ensure their safety until both handler and -A unit are returned to Foundation custody.
The standard recontainment procedure is as follows:
Recontainment team locate handler and -A unit either by suitable land vehicle or on foot.
Recontainment group inform the handler and -A unit NOT to move and to discard all weapons via voice or loudhailer.
Concealed marksman takes aim at handler in case termination is necessary, if at ANY point either handler or -A instance becomes aware of their presence all units are to withdraw and killswitch stage α is to be deployed.
Recontainment personnel designated unit A decamp from vehicle and slowly approach.
Recontainment personnel designated B remain in vehicle or if on foot, remain at a safe distance.
All B units train weapons on -A unit, DO NOT AIM AT THE HANDLER, if the handler obscures line of sight to -A unit disengage immediately.
A unit leader informs handler of the current situation and their necessary recontainment.
(optional) A singular A unit member removes ALL weaponry and moves to assist the handler in restraint application.
A unit escorts handler to vehicle or on foot back to recontainment zone.
A and B units to regroup, now designated recontainment team.
Killswitch stage γ-2 is to be enacted upon successful return to Foundation custody.
PROJECT:SPECTRE KILLSWITCH STAGE ALPHA (α)
Details: The first part of the killswitch program, stage α is the introduction of reversible sedatives into the system of the handler by use of either autoinjector or manual application either via hypodermic or ballistic syringe, gaseous agents can also be used. This is to incapacitate the handler and allow retrieval by an armed recovery team. The -A instance involved is to be subdued by application of extreme force, combatants should be advised to aim for the legs and maintain heightened situational awareness to reduce the impact of -A entities ability to switch physical states. Even if apparently killed, combatants should be aware that any -A entity is to be deemed combat effective and deadly until the successful containment or elimination of their handler.
PROJECT:SPECTRE KILLSWITCH STAGE BETA (β)
Details: Stage β may not be used at all if recontainment is achieved or even enacted without stage α if the situation escalates or handler and -A instance are actively hostile against Foundation recontainment teams or assets. Stage β is the activation of the explosive collars attached to both handler and -A entity, this should successfully terminate both subjects unless the collars have been removed, tampered with or failed to arm/detonate. The charge will destroy the neck severing the spine and jugular vein usually resulting in partial or total decapitation of the subject. Decapitation or otherwise complete destruction of the head is necessary to terminate the -A instance. Keep in mind any perceived termination of any -A instance is only temporary, as it will remanifest and heal in any mirrors near the handler, and if no mirrors are present in its vicinity it will manifest directly in its handlers peripheral or in some cases, direct vision.
PROJECT:SPECTRE KILLSWITCH STAGE GAMMA (γ) (OPERATION:SKULLBLIGHT)
Details: Stage γ-1: codenamed Operation:Skullblight is the usage of [REDACTED] to force a -A instance to remain in its nonphysical form until it can be contained, only able to be perceived by and affect their handler. This is the final line of defence against a rogue -A instance.
Stage γ-2:
This requires a cooperative handler as both handler and -A instance are to be isolated in a standard two person humanoid containment cell with a single body length mirror. They are to be confined either indefinitely or until the -A instance is bought back under control. The handler is to have regular sessions of psychological review and interviews. The handler must also provide psychological support to the -A instance to help rehabilitate them. It is well documented that a -A instance will never purposefully harm their handler, but may act with extreme aggression towards other personnel and exhibit immensely protective traits towards their handler, to the point of suicide.
PROJECT:SPECTRE COMMUNICATION CODEWORDS
SPECTRE#?: -A unit's field designation (e.g SPECTRE#01)
HANDLER#?:Handler unit's field designation (e.g HANDLER#01)
DEADSKULL: -A unit eliminated
ROTSKULL: -A unit rendered combat ineffective
SPLINTER: Handler unit rendered combat ineffective
FRACTURE: Handler unit terminated
PHASED:-A unit's state is nonphysical
SOLID:-A unit's state is physical
An example of this demonstrated in a practical way would be as follows
"This is HANDLER#01, reporting SPECTRE#01's state is PHASED ROTSKULL, requesting immediate evacuation, code SPLINTER"
The meaning of this is that the -A unit's handler is reporting that it is currently nonphysical and severely injured, they are requesting evacuation as they are also injured to the point of combat ineffectiveness. This should make communication easier between Project:SPECTRE briefed personnel, however standard universal terms should be used when communicating with personnel unfamiliar with Project:SPECTRE.
PROJECT:SPECTRE STANDARD OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES
ASSASSINATION
One of the main purposes of the SPECTRE project is to allow clean and swift neutralization of priority targets both on and off the battlefield, the standard procedure for elimination of a singular target is as follows:
The units handler briefs the -A instance on its target all necessary information including name, position and ID picture is to be given to the -A unit.
The -A unit enters the battlefield or area where the target is located in its phased form.
-A unit approaches target, bypassing all bodyguards or fortifications.
Positive ID is ascertained on the target by -A instance.
The termination sequence now begins.
The -A unit positions both upper and lower jaws against the neck of the target, if the -A unit is in possession of a knife then the tip should be poised at the base of the targets skull.
(if necessary) The -A unit is to enter its solid state and quickly remove any armour covering the targets neck and/or head.
The -A unit is to enter solid state and forcefully clamp both hands on the targets shoulders, digging in with their claws to prevent removal before successful termination. The -A unit will then proceed to bite down on the targets neck, aiming to sever the jugular. If a knife is present then the -A unit will drive the blade into the targets spinal column, severing the spinal cord and terminating brain function.
The -A unit will then deliver a sharp twist of their jaws to snap the targets spinal column and sever the spinal cord, resulting in brain death of the subject.
The -A unit shifts into their phased state and exits the area, avoiding any resulting lockdown and security personnel.
The -A unit returns to the handler and informs them of successful termination of the target.
This termination method is not to be used on noncombatants and other more humane execution procedures are to be put into place, (e.g. lethal-injection)
RECONNAISSANCE
Another key purpose of the SPECTRE project is the deployment of -A units to scout combat areas, they are to do this in their phased state and relay information back to the handler via radio or camera footage. The handler will then report back to the mission leader. Due to the innate invulnerability and total invisibility of the phased state a -A unit can quickly and easily avoid enemy combatants and all surveillance hardware. If a priority target is spotted a reconnaissance mission can quickly turn to an assassination mission if directed by the handler or other senior personnel members.
COMBAT
Arguably the most important purpose of Project:SPECTRE is combat, a -A instance may either be deployed to the battlefield with or without their handler, a -A unit can be used to eliminate priority targets or to wipe out enemy combatants rapidly and effectively. Peak effectiveness is achieved when both handler and -A unit fight side by side in combat, as the -A instance and handler share an almost innate bond allowing them to quickly and effortlessly respond to each other's movements and strategy, in a combat situation the -A unit will provide most of the destructive force while the handler acts as a situational overwatch. These roles can easily be reversed if the opposing forces are too weak to require a -A unit's direct presence but their phased form allows them to report back to their handler in detail the enemies positions, weaponry and general structure. A combat mission and assassination mission are similar in nature as a -A unit will usually target the most dangerous enemy combatants first, quickly neutralizing them using either the procedure outlined above or any other acceptable means of termination.
ADVANCED INTERROGATION PROCEDURES
If a subject is captured in combat or is a preexisting detainee a -A units fearsome appearance can be useful in an interrogation environment, these procedures outline the humane and damage-limiting interrogative methods to be conducted by a -A instance. These methods should ONLY be used if a previous human interrogation officer has failed or is not available.
I-"SHOCK AND AWE"
The -A unit approaches the subject, dressed in full battle armour, be equipped with unloaded weaponry and without the presence of a handler, the unit is to speak in an aggressive and harsh manner, utilising a show of extreme strength and force to terrify the subject into submission. Roaring and/or screaming in the subjects face is appropriate as long as it does not cause permanent hearing damage, leveling a knife at the subject but being cautious the blade does not touch the skin is also an appropriate method and should be used if necessary. If the subject reacts with anger rather than fear this method is to be withdrawn.
II-"THE BEAST"
The handler is to enter the cell first with a heavy chain attached to the -A unit's collar, the -A unit is to be instructed to mock-fight against the handler and make it seem like the handler can barely keep them in check. The -A unit is not to speak during the procedure and must play up their monstrous nature, seeming more like an attack dog than a humanoid creature. The handler is to make apologies with a frightened subject and inform them that they do not know how long they can keep the -A unit under control. With an aggressive subject the handler is to make threats with the subject and the -A instance is to display extreme threatening behaviour, bearing teeth and keeping direct eye contact with the subject while growling heavily.
III-"THE INTERROGATOR"
The -A unit and handler is to enter the cell, the handler takes a stance at the far wall of the cell and produces a notepad and writing implement, as if to take notes of the -A unit's performance. The unit is to use standard interrogative procedures and act much the same as a human interrogation officer. Using mental and emotional manipulation techniques coupled with a show of force and threats, choosing the most appropriate methods based on the subjects emotional and physical responses.
BLACK LEVEL INTERROGATIVE PROCEDURES
These procedures must only be used in conjunction with direct verbal approval by any two members of the O5-Council. These procedures are to be hidden from all EC members except any who are direct Project:SPECTRE handlers and in possession of a -A instance via a disseminated cognitohazard by use of a standard EC report forwarded to all members. In all of these techniques care must be taken to leave no permanent scarring or disfigurement of the subject, there are many black level interrogation procedures available for most interrogation officers however these two listed below are specifically made for use by a -A instance and handler. These procedures can be distressing for both handler and -A instance and as such should only be sanctioned under extreme circumstances, such as mass threat to Foundation or civilian life.
I-"DEEPCUT"
This method substitutes a standard scalpel for the -A instances claws, subject is to be stripped of all clothing above the waist and restrained on a vertical, padded operating table with the head hooded to block out vision, the subject is to be placed on the table backwards with their back exposed to the interrogation personnel. The -A unit is to make a shallow incision with a single claw, before turning it from sideways to a flat level surface and using the edges of the claw to further open and trace the cut, inflicting a maximum of pain while leaving little or no scarring. This procedure is to be repeated as many times as nessecary on the back and shoulders of the subject, any blood should not be removed from the subjects body and their clothes to be replaced while it is still wet to further psychologically impact the subject upon next removal of their blood matted garments.
II-"THERAPY"
In conjunction with rapid strobe lighting and subaudial frequency manipulation the subject is to be awoken in the middle of the night in their cell and the -A unit is to enter, the situation is to be made a nightmarish as possible with frequent application of mild hallucinogenic substances to further distort the subjects immediate view of reality. The -A unit is to simply stand in the cell, moving closer and closer to the subject over a long time period, threatening gestures should be used to ensure maximum stress of the subject. Upon reaching the subject the -A unit must harshly grasp their face and in sync with the deployment of a fast acting sedative bite down on the subject, stopping before any damage is actually inflicted. If performed correctly upon waking the subject should only remember the particularly stressful and fearful moments. Upon reintroduction of the -A unit most subjects react with extreme terror and usually cooperate fully with the handler in a more relaxed interrogative environment. Threats of reintroduction of the -A unit are most effective at this point.
END OF LIFE TERMINATION
Inevitably there will come a point in a -A unit's lifetime that their handler will be eliminated, either dying in combat or from natural death of old age. From this point onward a -A unit is to be considered a rogue operative without a handler to guide them. It is possible for a -A unit to fully comply with termination order, as it is theorised when the person a -A instance is bonded to dies then the -A unit in question will lose their regenerative properties, allowing them to be killed permanently. This is to be done quickly and humanely by complete detachment of the head. This is regrettably the only way to terminate a -A instance without causing immense physical damage. The procedure is to be carried out via a guillotine or the -A instance themself may choose to self-terminate by other means available to them. This is to be allowed and if possible both handler and -A unit are to be commemorated together in their sites memorial area, with the -A units designation and/or name to be displayed above their handlers rank, unit and name.
EMERGENCY TERMINATION
As outlined above in Project:SPECTRE Killswitch stage alpha (α) a -A instance can be terminated through conventional means, all attackers are to aim for the legs, preferable the knee and shin as shattering the bones there will incapacitate the instance fairly quickly. The eyes are to also be targeted to render the -A unit blind. Termination teams are advised not to approach the -A unit within arms reach as they are more than capable of using sound from movements to target an assailants position. Severing the tendons in the arms is also advised to completely disrupt the movement of a -A instance. The handler will usually be able to quickly reassure and contain their -A unit by themselves but if not be prepared for the handler to act violently and protectively of their -A unit during termination, restraint of the handler is advised as well as disarmament and removal from the immediate area to prevent undue distress.

APPEARANCE:
Appears like a standard SCP-1471-A entity, the fur on the instance is grey-black in colour and doesn't shed easily, it is a short and rather dense coat, slightly thicker in areas such as the torso, arms and legs yet thins out and shortens on areas such as the hands, neck, underarms and other relatively unexposed areas. Some parts such as under its lower jaw, bottom of fingers an palms are devoid of fur entirely. Lengthens and smoothes out on the crown of the skull to form long black hair, that seems to be of high quality and lustre. -A's canine skull is smooth and of an off-white coloration with slight yellowing, with a few chips and notches that seem to be natural weathering. -A possesses sharp clawlike nails that are an opaque dark-grey colouration and easily cut flesh, kept long for combative purposes. Black tongue that is lengthier than standard baseline for a human, -A also possesses a tail that ends at knee length however the actual tail fur ends at the mid-calf, it has ragged black ears that are mainly kept pricked up and forwards. -A wears either Project:SPECTRE combat uniform consisting of hardplate armour and Kevlar or its off duty uniform that matches its handler (R.Wolfe) this consists of a grey top with the SPECTRE initialling in black capitals across the shoulders and chest and grey digi-camo combat trousers. -A is fairly well muscled due to their combat training and possesses muscle tone visible through its fur, not on the bulky side though, in a startling similarity to Rick who possesses similar muscle mass.
BEHAVIOUR:
Extremely suspicious of others and will intently watch Rick upon first meeting and react to his emotional cues accordingly, if he's friendly and at ease then it usually reacts to the person passively and may even relax a little. If he's tense or irritated it mostly reacts with extreme hostility towards the aforementioned person. -A can be worryingly possessive to the extreme it would do anything for Rick that wouldn't put him in harms way, can be (subjectively) relaxed when they are alone but its mostly uncomfortable and admittedly terrifying to others. It seems to be fully aware of its morbid appearance and uses this to its advantage when feeling threatened or irritated, for example its voice, while naturally smooth and gentle it can alter to sound hellish and saturated with static white noise. It is unwilling to be separated from Rick and will react with violent aggression unless ordered to comply by Rick. It should be noted that -A has complete free will and is not bound to follow Rick's instructions by any anomalous or physical means however there have been no recorded instances of -A refusing to carry out a request made by Rick that hasn't put him in danger.
Notably -A's definition of danger is strict, it harbours a distinct wariness and resultant over-protectiveness of Rick in most new and unfamiliar situations. As it is unable to smile or indeed express emotion very well with its canine skull it usually resorts heavily on body language to express emotion, notably its tail is not at all used as much as expected from a canid like entity. To display affection it resorts to physical touch for example, resting a hand on a shoulder or indeed merely clasping Rick's hand quite firmly. Occasionally its claws have been known to draw blood, this is because of its acclimatising to a physical form and it is usually extremely apologetic in these cases. The basics of its emotional displays have been listed below, -A tends to only display extreme emotion openly, preferring to appear indifferent in public and towards strangers. Most emotion is displayed through its tone of voice, but it may become distorted with static at times of heavy stress. It is almost impossible to pin down any mental abnormalities as it is unknown how far -A's psychology differs from a standard humans. Its emotional affection towards Rick shouldn't be a containment concern and indeed helps contribute towards successful containment and the psychological health of -A and Rick himself as long as it remains strictly limited to professionalism and doesn't cross any ethical boundaries.
Aggression:
Ears pricked forward and body extremely tense, usually a warning growl or snarl is issued as it stares intently at its target voice usually shifts into a white noise saturated and rough version described as hellish and uncomfortable by research staff, tail held loose and if irritated or rarely playful rather than angered its tail may twitch or flick to the side in a jerky movement, an easy tell for this is that it may tilt its head playfully rather than staring straight ahead at its target. Willing to compromise its own safety and health to assault others in extreme circumstances. If -A is extremely vocal during these actions it is usually an empty threat, however the true danger manifests when -A is almost completely silent, this is its more dangerous behaviour pattern as it is preparing for fast and usually deadly action towards its target
Fear:
Ears held backwards against the skull, tail held firmly against one of its legs as so to keep it out of reach or harm. Head may be pointed down and arms raised to protect itself, fingers splayed or balled in a fist rather than its usual hooked stance for clawing, it may curl up on the floor, assuming as small a stance as possible. Cries out for help in an almost broken static or in more extreme cases devolves into whining or a loud, inhuman scream described as piercing and almost painful to hear. In extremely rare occasions may cry, producing a standard saline solution from the eyes, common behaviour is seeking escape and seeking out Rick for comfort and reassurance almost always becomes withdrawn and uncertain following these incidents. It should be noted that -A may become violent and aggressive if personnel other than Rick approach, even to administer aid.
Happiness:
The tail will usually move depending on the degree of emotion felt, anywhere from a gentle twitch to a calm sway. It usually carries its tail quite low still, never bringing it up above its knees and when inexpressive hangs to around mid-calf , this is thought to be for protective purposes. The main tell for happiness is the way -A will relax slightly, carrying herself looser and being much more talkative. Its voice is mainly smooth and even at times uplifted.
Sadness
-A will stay mostly inexpressive if unhappy, usually reluctant to talk and when it does its voice is usually quite flat and monotone, at worst it may sound morose and sickly. -A mainly confines itself to Rick's side at times like this, reluctant to leave him and seeking comfort, after a few days its mood usually improves much to Rick's expense as he usually stresses himself out, trying to help it feel better. In the extremes of this emotion -A may indeed cry and become violent when approached by others, not wanting to express weakness around people it doesn't explicitly trust.
Incident:D1-1471A
Personnel involved: SCP-1471-A#01. Commander Rick Wolfe. D-3935
Casualties: D-3935 (Deceased)
Description: D-3935 terminated by –A#01 after acquiring Rick’s weapon from his hip holster and discharging three rounds into –A#01’s upper torso, the original target was Commander Wolfe however –A#01 prevented his death by blocking the shots and terminating the subject. The footage below shows the extraordinary response time of –A#01 in regards to the threat, to show this the timestamp has been altered to show the time it took –A#01 to react, with 00:00 (minutes/seconds) set as the moment D-3935 began hostile action. –A#01 managed to successfully spot and eliminate a threat in >60 seconds, the reason D-3935 was able to acquire Rick’s sidearm was later revealed to be a faulty security strap on the weapon, which snapped when D-3935 pulled the weapon from the holster rather than securing it down. It should be noted D-3935 was formerly a member of site staff until they [DATA EXPUNGED] resulting in the deaths of over 38 members of personnel and the temporary breach of SCP-096.
Transcript of events:
-01:30: D-3935 escorted by Rick and –A#01 to the holding cells
-00:18: D-3935 repeatedly glances towards Ricks holster, and moves closer behind Rick.
00:00: D-3935 lunges towards Rick’s holster, -A#01 almost immediately reacts and moves to intercept.
00:03: D-3935 withdraws Rick’s gun from the holster and backs off, pushing Rick back.
00:06: D-3935 takes the weapon off safety and aims towards Rick, -A#01 immediately places herself between the predicted ballistic trajectory and Rick with a position later found to be a 99.3% successful ballistic deflection margin.
00:13: –A#01 approaches D-3935, ballistic deflection margin differs by an extraordinary >0.8% throughout as she tracks the target, -A#01 is notably unarmed due to weapon servicing.
00:19: D-3935 verbally warns –A#01 not to approach, subject in extreme distress.
00:31: D-3935 fires two shots into the chest of –A#01, subject repeatedly yelling at –A#01 not to approach, visibly disturbed at the failure to terminate –A#01.
00:50: –A#01 sprints to D-3935 and sinks left hand into the shoulder, jerking the subject close and using her jaws to tear the trachea out of the subject.
00:56: D-3935 manages to fire another round into –A’s ribs before falling unconscious and expiring from blood loss fairly quickly.
01:04: -A#01 returns to Rick's side seeming to be in distress, subject is comforted by Rick who proclaims they "made the right call" visibly calming the subject.
02:17: On site security staff arrive to escort Rick and -A#01 to the medical wing and dispose of D-3935's corpse.
Incident:C2-1471A
Personnel involved: SCP-1471-A#01. A-9 Commander Rick Wolfe. MTF Operator Jackson.
Casualties: SCP-1471-A#01 (Gunshot wound)
Description: Jackson accosted Rick and –A#01 outside their quarters, subject began questioning Rick about his relationship with –A#01, although starting out as benign Jackson soon became irate and accused –A#01 of “corrupting” Commander Wolfe with her influence. Subject became even more aggressive and ordered Rick to stand back as they drew their sidearm, professing to slay –A and free Rick from whatever “foul bonds” tied him to her. –A#01 did not express any hostility, instead trying to deescalate the situation with reassurance and placating gestures. It should be noted that Jackson has always expressed mild hatred towards nonhumans however this was initially thought to be beneficial in his line of work and his reaction to –A#01 and Rick is unusually extreme. Rick approached Jackson, notable for looking up to Rick as a Commander and tried to calm him before trying to remove the pistol from his grip. Jackson broke Rick’s grip and fired a shot towards –A’s midsection which successfully impacted, knocking –A#01 back slightly and causing Rick to flinch in second-hand pain probably from emotional reasons. Jackson dropped the weapon and started screaming incomprehensibly upon realising the ballistic damage caused no external reaction from –A. Site security arrived upon hearing the gunshot and quickly restrained Jackson while Rick administered aid to –A#01 who shifted to their mirror form to heal after removal of the lodged bullet.

Incident:C3-1471A
Personnel involved: SCP-1471-A#01. A-9 Commander Rick Wolfe. MTF Operator Jackson.
Casualties: Commander Rick Wolfe (Neck injury, abrasions) MTF Operator Jackson (Blunt force trauma)
Description: Jackson apprehended Rick in the site’s canteen area, headed towards where Rick was sitting with purposeful intent before cajoling him out into the corridor and away from –A#01, where he started hurriedly trying to convince Rick to separate from –A#01, subject was pale and in extreme distress, when Rick refuted Jackson’s claims he was aggressively accused of being “under her control” this is noted to be a logical inaccuracy and in any case the Ethics Committee was initially worried about –A#01 herself being forced to comply to Rick’s orders, but this has been proven false, in any case –A#01 is genuinely attached to Rick, and cares on a borderline obsessive level. Jackson showed signs of mental instability during the confrontation, switching from aggression to pleading throughout, the confrontation reached its peak when Jackson pinned Rick up against the corridor wall by his neck, attempting to render him unconscious. –A#01, already uncomfortable at being out of a direct line of sight to Rick and agitated by the loud yelling exited the canteen. She quickly approached the two struggling persons and struck Jackson across the ribs. Jackson lost his grip on Rick’s neck and was quickly subdued by –A#01 and handed over to on site security.

Incident:B4-1471A (Medical)
Personnel involved: SCP-1471-A#01. A-9 Commander Rick Wolfe.
Casualties: Commander Rick Wolfe (Bruised pelvis, scratches over shoulders and upper back. Shallow bite mark on neck)
Description: All medical reports involving an SCP entity and personnel member must be filed as an incident report, the medical evaluation is as follows. At ██:██ hours Commander Rick Wolfe was admitted to the medical bay, he was carried in by –A#01 who requested he be given pain medication. After admittance and physical inspection Rick was treated for minor lacerations of the shoulders and upper back, most were simply light scratches however a few had cut surprisingly but not dangerously deep, requiring surgical glue to seal the wounds. He was also treated for a shallow bite mark on the neck, not enough to pierce the skin but strong enough to cause light bruising. When questioned by a medical technician about the origin of the damage neither party commented, however on further inspection a slight amount of blood was noted to be caked under –A#01’s nails. When this was bought up in conversation –A#01 claimed simply that “their wedding night had been fun” and that the “wounds were clean.” Rick expressed slight discomfort walking and expressed symptoms of bone bruising around the pelvic region and hips which he was given a mild pain suppressant for to relive discomfort, when he was questioned he simply stated that “-A had been a little too rough” and repeatedly assured medical staff that he’d be fine in the morning. The medical officer on duty took –A#01 off to the side and explained the injuries present on Rick and the length of recovery which was around a week. After talking to –A the medical officer then spoke to Rick, patient confidentiality is waived upon filing a medical report that includes an SCP and therefore a transcript of both interviews has been provided below, the report contains information some information that may be classified as unnecessary and graphic so a summary has been provided: Commander Rick Wolfe and SCP-1471-A#01 engaged in physical intimacy for a total of at least 9 consecutive hours after their wedding, the resultant physical exertion and contact caused light damage to Rick’s pelvic bone region and the grip of –A on his shoulders caused light lacerations and bruising.
Transcript of events:
Medic: So Commander, can you explain to me how you managed to end up in this situation?
Rick: Well (pause) It was our wedding night and so we behaved like many couples do.Medic: Yes, but not for nine consecutive hours… I’m surprised you are still awake and coherent.
Rick: -A was happy to continue until I was satisfied, unfortunately I also had the same idea, which in hindsight was a mistake.
Medic: So she would have just kept going the whole night…
Rick: Yep, I don’t think stamina is even a concept for her, she just kept hitting peak after peak, neither of us really managed to keep count.
Medic: Well, that’s quite a feat. You’re a lucky guy Rick. (subject noted to be becoming unprofessional) Are you two always so rough?
Rick: Not at all, depends on the mood, this time we started out really gentle, it just sort of progressed, we’ve been together for a few months and so I’d like to think I’ve developed quite the stamina to hold out, she certainly knows what she’s doing. Each time she uh… finished.. it just made her more determined to bring me down with her, hence the roughness.
Medic: So you see it as a challenge?
Rick: Nah, we take plenty of breaks together, to be honest most of the night was just spent in her arms, so warm and comfortable. I hope this clears up the cause of my injuries so we won’t have to file a proper incident report next time.

BLACKBOX COMBAT RECORD END
Combat report: It has been outlined today the true effectiveness of a –A unit, -A#01 managed to almost singlehandedly eliminate a squad of 5 Chaos Insurgency soldiers and a short range cruise missile. The engagement was unplanned, Rick and –A were sent as an emergency response after reports of CI scouts, not an entire, combat effective group. Although its blackbox log makes it seem like a simple machine, it is actually an extremely compressed version of how its mind cycled in combat, a very logical, linear sequence of identification, assessment and implementation of combat training against a threat. What was interesting to see is the way –A#01 “overclocked” its mind, and worryingly seemed to disable emotional responses to stimuli, it seems this measure was to protect Rick himself when the short range missile was detected by its systems, the quite brutal factor however is how it marked the last CI commander for death, displayed as a simple threat #5 to it, the “ENSURE LETHALITY” command line seems most driven, as it is assumed it would have killed the commander no matter what, and made it its priority if it could not actively stop the missile from making impact.
It is to be reprimanded in the way it executed the first commander, who had quite clearly surrendered, it even registered the fact and yet still chose to eliminate them, I don’t think Ethics Committee needs to be involved just yet, but from a human operative this would have been unheard of, especially the method in which it carried it out, not merely shooting them in the heat of combat, this was as always, a calculated assessment. I’m not even going to formally flag the pair up for review, simply mention this to Rick, I feel that he will talk to it about the regulations around warfare, it needs to come from someone it respects. - Dr.[REDACTED]

Transcript Summary: I have been instructed to teach a select few MTF operators on the best methods to dispatch a –A unit and their handler both lethally in combat, or passively in a security, or on site situation. The first thing you must take note of, is that –A#01 will do anything to insure the protection of its handler, in this case Commander Rick Wolfe. This can work both ways, in one as long as you have him prepped for termination it will obey all orders from the issuer, a simple knife held against the throat or gun to the temple is suitable for this purpose. However this is not recommended, -A#01 is a logic driven creature, as much as it seems like it in the heat of combat it does not think like you or I, everything based on threat assessments and raw data, emotional manipulation will not work, coercion will not work, threats will not work.
You must take note what you are fighting can and will become intangible, expect an attack at any time and any direction, even unarmed a –A unit can kill an armed human with ease. Assume if you cannot see it, you are seconds away, if that, from termination. You in that case can do one thing, release the handler and drop your weapons, killing Rick in an uncontained environment can and will wreak havoc, it is more than capable of bringing down entire groups, this coupled with its interfacing capabilities means chances are the entire wing on site will be compromised until power can be cut. If –A#01’s handler is terminated off site, god help us, -A will now be loose in a civilian environment, before reclassification it was graded Keter, if it holds us responsible for Rick’s death then expect retribution of the highest order, a contingency procedure is currently being developed for –A#01 being rendered uncontained via Foundation hostility. Rick himself will fully agree to containment, his loyalty is absolute, the issue comes if –A finds the Foundation is a larger threat to Rick’s safety than let’s say… defecting or leaving for a civilian life. It devotes itself to him to an obsessive degree, with completely zero regard for how it may affect others, as of yet it is definitely with us, and all the stronger for it, but in the future, a being driven by logical data is an inherently unpredictable one, especially when it wields such deadly force behind it. And so, that’s probably enough rambling from me, this is probably the part all you esteemed taskforce members have been waiting for. How to kill a –A instance.
Firstly, your initial port of call is a paradoxical one, we’ll use Rick and –A#01 as a model for it as they are the only pairing we should have to worry about as of yet. First, you must turn to the handler himself, do not aim your weapons at him, do not engage with hostilities with him as –A will respond with extreme violence, even more so if it is already in an unstable situation, once it shifts from civilian to combative programming the situation is extremely volatile, unless you are Rick himself it has no issue with ending your life or crippling you if it deems it the most viable de-escalation strategy. If a peaceful resolution is found, we will immediately proceed with operation skullblight and confine the two to a shared cell. Congratulations, you have just recontained one of the most prolific and dangerous killers on record. Rick will help in every way possible, he cares for it too, and understands the risks and difficulties in its inherent situation. It should be noted, his orders play a strong role in its actions, it takes them as prime directives and although can readily disobey if he is threatened, it takes his words as essential law, factoring his emotional responses too. If the worst comes to the worst threaten Rick indirectly, you must never be the cause of the threat, else –A will take the logical step and remove you from the equation. You must also never result to physically harming Rick, or else –A will mark you for termination, at this point open up with your weapons, take it out as soon as it issues either a verbal warning or takes threatening action. Although strange –A#01 will very usually issue a warning for termination targets before taking initial action, it is theorised that this is to give you a last, very last option to disengage and cease hostilities, for example: dropping your weapon, and assuming a submissive position on the ground. Rick will bodily attempt to restrain –A, however it can and will break out of handcuffs, he is proficient at using methods in which circumvention or resistance will directly harm him, such as placing an arm in its jaws, or interlacing his fingers with it’s in such a way that a harsh movement will break his fingers.
As –A#01 will not harm Rick in any case, these methods are extremely effective and usually cause a collapse scenario, kicking it out of combat drive and back into a civilian state, in which case it is usually to be found in extreme emotional distress. Operation skullblight must then be placed into effect as Rick leads it into the designated containment cell, this is by far the most preferable outcome second only to –A itself disengaging hostilities. Once before, when –A entered a bout of extreme aggression, not helped by two inexperienced facility guards who proceeded to fire warning shots towards it, this event reached its peak when a bullet ricochet and impacted Rick’s ballistic armour, dealing no damage Rick later stated he had only felt a very slight impact to the chest. –A entered the most hostile state on record, withdrawing its sidearm and marking both guards for immediate execution. Rick acted fast and withdrew his own weapon, placing the barrel against his forehead and ordering –A#01 to stand down, it complied almost immediately, collapsing onto the floor while the guards fled in terror. An MTF battalion arrived in two minutes, armed for close quarter execution, Rick was on the floor, comforting –A, sidearm back in its holster, -A in extreme emotional distress, crying and seizing up on the floor. Rick led it back to his quarters and they returned to standard duties the next day, there has not been a similar issue on record as of yet. But it’s best to be prepared
The second method is unfortunately termination of the –A instance itself. Killing a –A instance outright is nigh impossible with ballistic munitions, the flesh and physical matter does not seem necessary for survival, target limbs as soon as hostilities engage, -A will attempt to kill you, if it is armed defend yourself with appropriate countermeasures, -A is usually armed with a IMI Desert Eagle, modified with a higher power load and tungsten, armour penetrating rounds. And a .50 calibre AR-15, both of these weapons, particularly the AR will defeat standard personnel armour and light riot shields, do not use ballistic shields, it will target the viewport. –A#01’s accuracy is computer guided, it can calculate wind speed, direction, armour penetration angles, ballistic trajectory and practically anything else necessary for weapon firing. Most interestingly enough it will throw itself into the recoil at the precise moment of the shot, therefore mitigating most if not all of the recoil, this way –A can fire rounds in an almost straight line, with no recovery time between shots. In casual terms, it can shoot better than anyone you can think of, no shot misses unless by outside interference, and if a round lands you can bet that it’s placement is calculated, its usual means of ballistic termination is a headshot or bullet through the visor, but it will also target armour joints and soft spots, aiming for feet and ankles to cripple combat units. It targets threats in a precise order of ranking, if you are armed more highly than your peers, expect a bullet first. In an extended ballistic engagement it will win, guaranteed, man portable rocket launchers are mostly ineffective it can and will shoot them out of the air, now of course, accuracy by volume. However you can launch as many explosives as you wish, they will not kill what essentially isn’t there, it will shift form and appear directly in front of you. Dead.
You can never drop your guard in an engagement with a –A unit, initial shots should be delivered to the lower calves to shatter the shin bones and render the unit unable to move, this should reduce combat effectiveness and speed of movement, however this isn’t a fully viable strategy as –A#01 can still fight effectively in a downed position, pain is not a factor in combat, although –A feels pain fully it does not seem to have much of an effect on the actual reaction speeds and focus of the –A unit. After initial shots to the leg, aiming for the shoulders and hands are effective in disabling the use of firearms. –A is not unarmed however, its teeth are extremely hard, much more than bone, in line with the rest of its skull structure, capable of denting a standard issue combat knife and can easily rip and tear flesh even through layers of Kevlar and steel battle armour, ballistic plate poses no issues for it if it can get a good enough angle to grip hold of it between its teeth. Its claws are of a similar hardness and are sharp at the tips, they are defeated by metal plate but can tear through layers of Kevlar with relative ease, this does not mean you are safe if wearing armour, small partitions in ballistic plate serve for areas that it can readily insert its claws into and lever it off your body. –A is stronger than a human but not to anomalous levels, the actual usage of this strength is perceived as much stronger than reality, due to the lack of pain response and seemingly no concept of stamina, exerting muscles and bones to their maximum tensile limit, in some cases causing permanent damage in the process. Even with the arms disabled via gunfire, -A#01 has before, torn the musculature away from its shattered arms to expose the bone, using it as a primitive but effective stabbing weapon.
Decapitation is an effective termination method, so is full body destruction, isolating Rick in a cell for operation skullblight should be done as soon as hostilities begin to occur, he may begin to seize and convulse upon removal of 400m from –A#01 this is normal and may cause unconsciousness, a medical team should be prepped at the cell, 400m removal does not physically effect –A in any way, however causes intense emotional responses, prepare for much more self-sacrificing combative methods, suicide include via explosives or other methods of termination. It should be noted that overwhelming force is the best method to terminate a –A instance. However there is no time for celebration just yet, -A#01 will readily remanifest after death in a fully combat viable state. Containment of Commander Wolfe is therefore containment of –A itself. Only in the most extreme of states should termination of Rick be considered a viable strategy for recontainment due to the potential damage –A#01 could cause without him being there to keep it in check.
Expect your electronic devices to be rendered defunct if it can access them, which it very probably can if they are using standard Foundation ciphers and encryption. Even the nonstandard stuff will take a few seconds at most for it to crack, Anderson Robotics has had the most successful defence against it at present with their Nankeen class AI repair software. It should be made clear, however loyal a –A unit seems, they will above all prioritise the life of their handler and take whatever course of action they feel will benefit them most.
Personnel involved: MTF Units Alpha, Beta, Gamma. Commander Rick Wolfe. SCP-1471-A#01.
Foreword: Surprisingly enough, -A#01 agreed to allow units Alpha, Beta and Gamma to test their tactics from my earlier seminar, the first test will involve Rick and therefore be conducted with simunitions and non-lethals, the full equipment list for the three units will be included underneath, along with –A’s equipment list and Ricks. A second fire exercise will be conducted with Rick isolated safely in a room 200m away, live fire will be allowed on the MTF squads part, but –A has been instructed to not kill or permanently cripple any Foundation personnel involved in the exercise, a training area modelled after Site-██’s Keter containment wing has been isolated from the rest of the site, but –A has been allowed access to all electronics it can crack and allowed to utilise its phasing ability to its fullest extent. The simunition rounds leave a bright red chalk marking on the target and are extremely painful without lasting damage.

Nonlethal phase of testing:, subjects Alpha Beta and Gamma were briefed on their mission to “recontain” –A#01 and Commander Rick using minimal force and attempt all methods mentioned in the seminar, essentially an extended briefing. They have been instructed to lie prone if –A scores a lethal hit with either her rounds, knife, claws or teeth on the subject.
Alpha, Beta and Gamma enter the Keter wing mock up, -A is standing near the end with Rick. It is notable that although –A has been instructed not to harm the MTF, both Alpha through Gamma seem unsettled and distressed, notably the safety on their weapons has been toggled off long before the engagement actually takes place.
Begin Log:
α: “Systems check, how are we looking?”
β: “Good sir”
γ: “Acceptable”
α: “Gamma, how’s your ADS looking?”
γ: “Systems good, ready to roast this thing” subject slaps hand against armour, slight raised slats on the shoulders, knees and elbows.”
β: “My mace battery is looking good sir”
α: “Good to go then, let’s get this breach, remember, no lethal force against Wolfe”
β: “Affirmative”
γ: “Got it”
α: “Right, you two enter the on the left and right, Gamma, activate your ADS as soon as she makes contact, Beta, move in with the stun baton, try to clip Rick in the shins with it, I’ll douse the pair in irritant gel, we have a medic on standby in case it goes south”
All subjects move in to the first hallway, it should be noted that the exercise has already begun and –A#01 has made connection with their communication systems and is monitoring in real time their communication, it is grinning through the camera feed, Rick with a slight smile on his face too as it unholsters its pistol, he speaks to it, informing it of the scenario.
Rick: “-A… I know it’s fun to have the upper hand but this is their training. We need to stick to the scenario, come on. It’ll be fun to terrify them” subject takes a guiding tone, resting a hand on –A’s shoulder,
-A#01: “Yeah, alright, it’ll be fun” subject takes prostrate position on the floor, stance aggressive and hand on its sidearm
The units engage, walking into the Keter cell blocks, Alpha using the emergency system to detonate the bolts on the door in a standard cell extraction procedure, it fails with a dull clunk, the door systems registering a jam, -A#01 starts screaming, audible through the door, unsettling the combat squad. It should be noted the combat team have seen –A’s documentation but images have been left absent for psychological shock factor.
α: “What in god’s name is that?”
β: “I think it’s the –A Unit sir.”
γ: “Is this a good idea, it sounds pissed. Dangerous.”
α: “I’m half glad the bolts didn’t detonate, safety your weapons and keep them lowered, let’s try de-escalation first, like the doctor said”
β: “Got it” click heard over mic, weapon presumed safe.
γ: “With all due respect, I’d rather keep myself armed sir”
α: “It’s his wife, how bad can it be? This is a training exercise after all”
β: “Good point, they did mention claws.. and teeth though”
γ: “Its humanoid…wait, probably one of those catgirl things right? Ears, tail, sharp nails and pointy teeth. Rick you lucky bastard.”
α: “Cut the chatter, let’s get to work, Beta, work on unlocking the door, Gamma, move in first with your ADS”
Beta successfully unlocks the door, using the manual release handle, sounding off the breach alarm, -A’s intermittent screaming can still be heard through the door, Gamma moves in first with Alpha behind, their weapons lowered while they yell over the alarm system. Gamma reacts with visible shock upon seeing –A’s form while Beta scrabbles backwards away from the door, Alpha takes action, ordering them to stand down.
α: “Rick get your –A unit under control!”
γ: “That aint no humanoid, what in god’s name…”
β: “Get on the ground! Hands behind your head!”
Rick attempted to control –A#01, placing a hand on its muzzle, attempting to pull it back, it continues to scream, a distorted, static laden screech. Beta moves in with their stun baton, attempting to clip Rick round the back with the weapon, the device makes contact, scoring a direct hit, Rick seizes up and collapses on the ground. –A now unsecured fires seemingly wildly at Beta, taking them out with three well placed bullets to the faceplace. Alpha calls out before deploying CS gas. Rick begins to choke and cough on the floor, crawling away from the spreading dispersion cloud of CS. Alpha opens fire on –A, the simunition rounds impacting with the wall as they miss, the CS gas obscuring view. The alarm cuts out as –A disables the system.
Gamma activates their ADS, their armour exhibiting a crackling spark effect as it kicks into operation, close in denial is now in effect. –A shifts back to physical, assaulting Gamma, the ADS system has no notable effect as they are hurled into a wall, opening up with the simunition shotgun they fire off three rounds into –A’s abdomen, no notable effect. A fourth round is fired into its open jaws, momentarily confusing it due to the inhaled chalk powder, the CS gas has no notable effect apart from watering of the eyes. Alpha runs up behind –A#01 and douses it in the irritant gel, coating the upper half of its skull. –A turns around, leaving Gamma to get up, there are burn marks on its hands from the electrical ADS system but it seems to have had no major effect apart from a slight twitch. Gamma disables the ADS and grips Rick roughly by the shoulder, the CS gas is beginning to clear, restoring vision.
α: “-A#01! Cease hostilities immediately!”
γ: “I have Rick, get on your knees! On your knees!”
Gamma raises their shotgun to Rick’s side, holding it in a loose grip, Alpha tries to ward them off, holding up their hand in standard field code for withdraw. Gamma persists, -A has at this moment frozen in place, sheathing its pistol and snarling, exhibiting standard aggression response. The simulation is called off, however Gamma begins to panic and refuses to withdraw, the situation is regarded to have escalated to a full breach scenario, deployment of an armed MTF division has been summoned to the mock up Keter wing however the door controls seem to be jammed shut, with –A blocking the initial entry point.
It is now known what prompted this response from –A, which had puzzled the MTF and watching researchers for a time. The shotgun, although using simunition rounds was levelled at Rick’s side, if fired at such close range it would still be powerful enough to break ribs, and even cause heart attack due to rhythm disruption. Subject Gamma keeps a grip on Rick’s shoulder with the shotgun levelled at him while –A walks closer, Alpha unloads their pistol into the back of –A’s skull, no effect apart from a reflexive twitch of the ears. Gamma continues to panic.
α: “Gamma, release Commander Wolfe immediately and drop your weapon! Now!”
Rick: “Back off, drop the gun!”
-A#01: █████ ██████ You have been marked for immediate termination
β: “Let him go! Back off Gamma!”
At the use of Gamma’s full name, pulled from service records by –A, they take, to the relief of research personnel, the first safe course of action and drop to their knees, shoving Rick away and dropping the simunition shotgun, they are in extreme distress, head cradled in their hands as –A jerks forward to grab Rick, clutching him close as security personnel arrive on scene, Rick and –A are given time to settle while Alpha, Gamma and Beta are escorted out. Rick and –A return to their quarters without incident, -A#01 expressing little emotion throughout, Rick seems in slight distress but mostly angered at Gamma’s blatant disregard for the mission briefing.
It is in my professional opinion that further combat training exercises be kept strictly theoretical and that this mission footage should be archived and used as a perfect example of how not to do things. Alpha is to be commended on their quick attempts to de-escalate the situation, while Beta performed with expected professionalism. Gamma however should be recommended immediate psychological evaluation, it is clear the appearance of –A#01 caused some sort of psychological fear response that significantly hampered their logic and inhibited their ability to work effectively - Dr.[REDACTED]

Before being recruited into the Foundation's ranks as a security guard he already had a military background, albeit a short one after he intervened in an anomalous attack upon civilians during his leave and therefore garnered the attention of the Foundation due to the ease and relative proficiency which he handled the situation with. Already being suitably healthy he was soon drafted into Foundation security forces and found himself quite suited to the role, a decent knowledge in IT practices certainly helped in the internal security side of his occupation.
However this was soon cut short by his confrontation of a superior when he gained knowledge that they were routinely withholding food from a sentient SCP entity. The resulting confrontation had him placed into the inactive personnel roster until he was recruited for MTF Ω-1, the Ethics Committee's personal taskforce, although Rick showed the makings of a good EC Investigator he was assigned the MTF role due to his combat proficiency and lack of interrogative technique over the basic training he was given. Rick quickly rose the ranks of Ω-1 and now resides as the current taskforce Commander. Although due to the esoteric nature of Project:SPECTRE's "jack of all trades" training Rick could equally operate in most other MTF units he still chooses to reside in the position of Ω-1 commander due to the unspecified nature of the role and flexibility of work it allows him to partake in. His life and activities changed yet again upon the introduction of SCP-1471-A#01 to his life, after receiving the app from [REDACTED] he attempted self amnesitisation (Class:A) through autoinjector, this failed and much to his shock two days later he witnessed the first appearance of -A#01 in his shaving mirror.
After quickly realising what had happened Rick decided to keep his newfound discovery quiet, he was high enough in the chain of command that he didn't inform his superiors but still published his own research logs as mandated by Foundation research guidelines. -A#01 soon appeared in Rick's peripheral vision too and the pair began to communicate through sign language, soon having daily discussions -A grew closer and closer to Rick and started appearing in his main view instead of being confined to the corner of his vision until a breakthrough was made. Rick set up his PDA to allow -A to use the microphone and speaker and therefore opened a much more viable method of communication, it was tenuous at first and Rick expressed some mild discomfort at -A's constant presence at his side, particularly the way it would stand over him at the foot of the bed while he slept.
This was further exacerbated by the physical manifestation of -A#01 after a few months of interaction, however Rick now seems at ease and even slightly safer with their presence. Rick maintains a state of physical fitness due to his combat role and is well muscled, not to the point of bulkiness however. He usually wears his off duty grey digi-camo combat trousers and a grey uniform shirt, matching -A's but without the SPECTRE initialling across the shoulders and chest of the shirt, he does however possess a mandatory ID tattoo in the form of a barcode across his left arm and upper back along with the SPECTRE initialling across the skin of his shoulders.
After an altercation in the sites recreational bar area, the pair attracted the attention of O5-1, Rick admitted his faults and –A was restricted from showing affection outside of their personal quarters in any capacity, Rick was demoted from Commander to Officer and reassigned his taskforce, on the reasoning that his involvement with –A#01 didn’t suit his Ethics placement and his skills would be much better utilised in MTF Alpha-9 “Last Hope” a taskforce dedicated to the utilisation of humanoid SCP objects in the field.
BEHAVIOUR:
Subject possesses a keen intellect along with intensive training, be advised any information here may be falsified as the subject has undergone significant counter-interrogation training along with psychology courses. Rick expresses strong alignment with the Foundations goals especially those of concealing anomalies from the public and counter GoI operations. Rick is mainly stable with little to no emotional outbursts, notably if someone harms his -A instance he responds with unusual levels of defensiveness and protectivity for something that can and will readily remanifest after death. This attachment is unprofessional at best and it is concerning how deep the attachment may run between the pair, unfortunately most affection expressed by -A is reciprocated by Rick himself, and at least not directly discouraging such behaviour.
Such SCP/Personnel relationships are extremely restricted, however some contact is to be allowed as per their documentation the sheer level of apparent devotion -A holds for Rick is both a useful asset for compliance but is also an extreme risk for emotional attachment to an SCP object. This is currently a grade D psychological concern and consideration must be held to prevent any further development or crossing of ethical boundaries. Rick is relatively strict with a healthy respect for authority and so merely a warning or indeed just a notice from his superiors may counteract any unethical behaviour between the pair. Apart from this Rick seems psychologically healthy with no concerns that may impair judgment, ability or loyalty.
BEHAVIOUR UPDATE:
As of the 2.11.19 Ethics Committee ruling, relationships between staff and SCP personnel have been approved on a case by case basis. Wolfe and –A#01’s relationship has currently been approved and so therefore it can be disclosed that the pair are much closer than previously anticipated, in other circumstances the level of intimacy displayed between the pair would escalate to a Grade B bordering on Grade A psychological issue and necessitate immediate action to prevent harm to continued Foundation operation, especially when factoring in Rick’s operational clearance and personnel classification grade. However it has been noted that this attachment has not shown itself to be harmful to Foundation operation as of yet, some understandable negativity has been displayed by members of personnel sharing the same area as the twos affection has been considered universally abnormal and “wrong” by most. Rick and –A#01 have openly confessed that they plan to marry are wedded and display affection quite freely around the site. Their relationship has actually been shown to improve combat performance, and significantly heightened morale.
