All roads and directions to SCP-XXXX have been purchased by the foundation and are currently cut-off from the public. There is to be no fewer than 2 guards at the entrance of the tunnel. Absolutely no personnel are authorized to enter SCP-XXXX without permission from the Administrative Department. If authorization is given from the Administrative Department to commence testing then testing may begin.

Description :

SCP-XXXX appears to be a tunnel approximately 3 meters in diameter, the wall is suspected to extend infinitely. The walls of the tunnel are made from steel-concrete and graffiti has been painted there by the public before it was restricted by the foundation. A subject can travel approximately 30 meters until their footsteps are no longer audible from the entrance of the tunnel. The tunnel extends infinitely on the inside, but on the outside it stops where the mountain's terrain goes below the tunnel's ground level. If a subject attempts to dig in the mountain to find the tunnel they will instead create a portal to an alternate universe that is identical to the original reality but the only difference is that there is no infinite tunnel. There also appears to be a small stream of sewage ascending from the so-called "end" of the tunnel and strange objects have been found in the stream such as masks, clothing, bones, amputated limbs, skinned-faces, and weaponry.

Over 11 Class-D personnel have went missing after walking into the tunnel. The distance that is believed where most Class-D personnel go missing is approximately 50 meters into the tunnel.

Addendum :

In summary, the tunnel is actually a normal tunnel, but it is believed it's actually a portal to another dimension where the tunnel extends infinitely.

Test SCP-XXXX-1 :

D-9127 is a 32-year old black male and is equipped with a 35 watt HID flashlight that can last up to 12 hours. D-9127 has a radio-telegraphic rope tied around his waist use for communication since the radio signal is weak inside of the tunnel. D-9127 is being interviewed by Dr. █████.

D-9127 takes a step into the tunnel and looks at the rope before ascending into the tunnel.

D-9127 : Hey this is a uh.. [pause] really long tunnel.
Dr. █████ : Please ascend into the tunnel.

D-9127 takes a few steps in the tunnel and stops.

D-9127 : Is it supposed to be this dark?
Dr. █████ : Is your flashlight broken?
D-9127 : No no, it's working just fine. This thing just looks like it extends forever.
Dr. █████ : Please continue.

D-9127 continues walking as splashes are heard from his footsteps.

D-9127 : This is a really long water stream [pause] it's got a uh… mask?
Dr. █████ : Is the mask doing anything odd?
D-9127 : Nah it's just really creeping me out, man.
Dr. █████ : Please continue.
D-9127 : Listen man I don't wanna keep walking this is dark as fuck.
Dr. █████ : We provided you with a flashlight for a reason.
D-9127 : This flashlight don't do shit.
Dr. █████ : Is it broken now?
D-9127 : No it just barely lights up, I think the batteries low.
Dr. █████ : The flashlight's batteries were replaced with brand new batteries, are you sure?
D-9127 : Nevermind the batteries are fine, I think the tunnel is just getting more darker as I keep going in.
Dr. █████ : Okay, please continue.

D-9127 continues walking towards the tunnel and is now around 40 meters inside of the tunnel.

D-9127 : I heard something.
Dr. █████ : Could you describe it to me?
D-9127 : It was footsteps [pause] are you sure I'm the only one in this tunnel?
Dr. █████ : We didn't send any other guards, you're the only D-Class we sent in the tunnel.
D-9127 : Can I go back now?
Dr. █████ : This test isn't complete. Please walk towards the footstep sounds.
D-9127 : There's no way in hell I'm going towards that shit.
Dr. █████ : Please continue, or there will be further consequences.

D-9127 continues walking towards the footsteps

D-9127 : FUCK!
Dr. █████ : What happened?
D-9127 : HELP ME!
Dr. █████ : D-9127? Are you there?
D-9127 : GET ME THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!

D-9127 starts sprinting towards the entrance of the tunnel

Dr. █████ : D-9127 please respond.
D-9127 : THAT FUCKING THING IS CHASING ME.
Dr. █████ : What "thing"?
D-9127 : [ No response ]
Dr. █████ : D-9127 are you there?
D-9127 : What? Where's the exit?
Dr. █████ : D-9127, please tell me what happened.
D-9127 : There was a thing chasing me.
Dr. █████ : Could you possibly be more descriptive?
D-9127 : [panting] It was a black guy. Not black like negro, he was fucking pitch black.
Dr. █████ : Are you injured?
D-9127 : Nah, I'm just in shock. Can I please get out of here?
Dr. █████ : Yes. Please ascend in the direction of the rope.
D-9127 : [No response]
Dr. █████ : D-9127 can I get a confirmation that you're ascending towards the entrance?
D-9127 : No response]
Dr. █████ : D-9127?
D-9127 : [No response]

Analysis :

D-9127 hasn't responded to the radio for a while, and there's no signs of survival. D-9127's current status is : missing. It is believed his telegraphic rope was cut-off, and there is little information on the dark figure that was chasing D-9127. Further testing is authorized by O5-██
