Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Pending Euclid Safe

Special Containment Procedures: A small, floating facility, designated Provisional Site-45B, is to be constructed and maintained at roughly 57°S 132°W. At least once every month, a class B or C Foundation Researcher assigned to Site-45B is to contact SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 using SCP-XXXX-3, and travel to SCP-XXXX with the anomalies when they arrive at Site-45B.

Upon arriving at SCP-XXXX, the researcher is to engage in extensive conversation with SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 regarding any and all noteworthy events to have taken place on and around SCP-XXXX since the last visit. When asked, SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2 will transport the researcher back to Site-45B before returning to SCP-XXXX. Pertinent information, if not the whole conversation, is to be recorded and logged upon returning to Site-45B.

SCP- XXXX-3 is to be kept in a standard storage locker when not in use. Such measures are simply to keep continuous watch over SCP-XXXX, which is otherwise self-containing.

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered by Dr. Elliott following a containment breach of SCP-████ during its relocation to Site-45. She was thrown overboard during the breach and briefly presumed dead after her tracker implant failed to transmit. She reappeared at Site-45 with SCP-XXXX-3 two days after the SCP she was travelling with arrived. Following the incident and Dr. Elliott’s interview (See Interview I below), SCP-XXXX-3 was confiscated, and research began on SCP-XXXX.

[Interview I to go here]

Description: SCP-XXXX is an island contained within its own pocket reality. To pass into the pocket reality without help from SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2, one must meet three requirements: 1. The individual must not intend to reach SCP-XXXX or some similar anomalous object. 2. The individual must be located somewhere in the Southern Pacific Ocean. 3. The individual must not be observed or perceived by any individual that is not also passing over into the SCP-XXXX pocket reality. Any effort to intentionally reach SCP-XXXX will invariably fail. The chances of passing over can be increased if the individual is unconscious, alone, and/or in a life-threatening situation. For these reasons, shipwreck survivors tend to be the most affected group.

It seems that travelling into the pocket reality of SCP-XXXX is unremarkable because the actual Pacific Ocean and the waters of the pocket reality blend together when travelling between the two. Once within the pocket reality, all ocean currents will pull subjects to the beaches of SCP-XXXX. A singular stretch of beach rings the entirety of SCP-XXXX. Beach width varies between 3 and 12 meters, and a sandy shelf extends a similar distance out beneath the water before dropping away abruptly into the ocean. Research of the waters in SCP-XXXX’s pocket reality is ongoing, but evidence suggests that they are both bottomless, and empty.

The beach meets a wall of hewn stone rising into the air which also rings SCP-XXXX. The wall has some variation in texture and thickness, but is otherwise uniformly vertical and lacks any cracks, crevices, or divots. While the wall appears to rise a few hundred feet from the ground, its top is always a few hundred feet above the viewer. Due to some anomalous effect, the wall’s top stays out of reach without every seeming to move. The wall is considered to extend infinitely upwards, despite its appearance and the fact that sunlight can pass over the top. The wall rises without supports on both sides, and proves impervious to all kinds of damage after numerous tests using explosives, chemicals, and powered equipment. These walls act as a one-way door to the rest of SCP-XXXX and only SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2 can open the door from the outside. Similarly, an individual who has chosen to leave SCP-XXXX will always be able to exit the pocket reality by travelling about a kilometer away from the island. This makes SCP-XXXX easy to escape, but impossible to siege.
