Basically two creatures that are complements of each other. Sort is a Sorter (duh) and Mort always tries to create entropy. Mort is nicknamed that way because Life is very organized, and Mort usually tries to mix the organisms it encounters. For the people that don't know: mort is french for death, dead, died, ect.
The creatures aren't world-ending beasts, but much more just humanoids that can do simple anomalous stuff that goes into the direction of entropy and order respectively.
Sort looks the way a N64 thing with missing textures looks - blocky and completely white (specifically the color #DDD in hex RGB). I haven't decided on the actual shape of the creature yet, but it's probably going to be something humanoid.
I haven't completely decided what Mort will look though. What does entropy look like? Shy guy with an asymmetric body and patches of different materials all over its body? Or does it just change its appearance constantly? It'll probably end up to be some variation of the latter one.
Both will be capable of communication, but while Sort builds complex sentences that precisely get to the point, Mort is only capable of rambling more or less understandable Sentences. E.g.: 'This bucket is not perfectly round, I can see a imperfection of 12µm at about 23° clockwise from the left angle.' and 'Oye n't yo flor be gut. It shap.', respectively.
Sort and Mort have two phases each, the unsatisfied phase, and the satisfied one. E.g. when Sort sees the bucket in above mentioned example, it will not actually tell you that this bucket is ugly as hell, but rather go into a sort of rage until the imperfection is gone. Similarly, when Mort sees something that is ordered in some way, he behaves similarly.
Both are lethal for most encountered live, since Sort sees organisms as only moderatly ordered, and tries to sort the molecules in said organism by size and/or tries to shape it into a symmetric shape, and Mort just rips the organism in half into unevenly distributed pieces until it's unrecognizable.
Since there's order in pretty much everything, Mort is very hard to calm down, but it's doable with it just being in its cell for a few hours, unorganizing everything.
Both entities have to be kept apart in all circumstances.
Sort has to be kept in a perfectly square cell, with dimensions of 3x3x3m, and all inner sides of the room have to be made out of one homogenous material like iron, or similar. The air in this room has to consist of 20% Oxygen and 80% Nitrogen. In each wall, there has to be one air-proof pressure chamber to put stuff through without changing the oxygen/nitrogen ratio in the room.
Mort has to be kept in an uneven room with as many irregularities as possible. The walls of the cell have to consist of at least 2m of steel because of Morts habit of digging the walls up when in rage. The steel used should as imperfect as possible without losing too much quality.
