Various websites are to be combed for references of SCP-4XXX that do not match the cover story, and are to be investigated as possible containment breaches.

Description:

SCP-4XXX are a species of creatures. These creatures have shown the ability to say words from the human language, though do not appear to grasp the meaning of the words.

SCP-4XXX appears to those who have yet to hear about them. It displays no hostility, though their appearance can lead to death via shock.

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-4YYY is to be placed in a locked room, no bigger than 3 x 3 meters. This room is not allowed to have any light source inside it, and entry into the room must be monitored by security cameras.
Personnel that have direct contact with SCP-3888 are not allowed to work with any other SCP. Armed guards are to be stationed outside the room to prevent accidental exposure. Non-test subjects are to wear blindfolds that cannot be removed without outside assistance before entry is permitted.

Description:
SCP-4YYY is a statue of a young girl made out of grayish marble. It was recovered from an art gallery in [REDACTED]. Despite the presence of other statues there, it was claimed to be the only statue in the gallery. The other statues show no signs of having anomalous properties.

SCP-4YYY anomalous properties manifest whenever light comes in contact with its surface. The immediate reaction is its surface glowing at the same intensity of the light it came in contact with. This will last until the light is shut off. When the light is shut off, those that directly saw it glowing briefly enter a catatonic state (usually less than 10 seconds), before resuming their normal activity. When asked, they have no recollection of being in that state.

Subjects affected will have one human or humanoid creature completely wiped from memory, and have that replaced memories of SCP-4YYY. SCP-4YYY will be recalled performing the same actions as the one wiped from memory, no matter how impossible. Previous recollections of SCP-4YYY itself will be retained, even if they "recall" it being someplace else at the same time.

Perceptions of the affected will also be altered. Any evidence of the one wiped from memory will be invisible to the affected, and they will instead see SCP-4YYY taking his/her/its place. Those unaffected can still see the original person. Audio recordings are reported by the affected to have SCP-4YYY's voice, described as "raspy and high pitched".
