The "Master" Card

Item #: SCP-3673
Object Class: Euclid **
Special Containment Procedures: ** SCP-3673 is to be contained within a 0.25m3 lockbox made from a titanium-chromium alloy. This lockbox is to be contained within maximum-security item containment cell-27 in site-██. The containment cell must have a single entrance, which can be shut, locked, and the cell filled with Class-A ███████ Kill agent in the event of a site-wide lockdown. The containment cell entrance must be guarded by at least 2 armed guards at all times, unless in the case of a site-wide lockdown, in which the armed guards assigned to SCP-3673 must shut and lock the main entrance to the cell, and the cell must be filled with Class-A ███████ Kill agent. The lockbox containing SCP-3673 is to be locked with a steel alloy eight-digit combination lock whose password is to be known only by Foundation Personnel: Dr. Zoe ███████, [TERMINATED], O5-█, Junior Researcher Erik █████, and Senior Researcher Nick ███████. Only if one or more of these members is confirmed dead, can foundation personnel of equal or greater clearance be granted access to the lockbox combination code to take their place. Any personnel who are going to be granted the code must undergo a full psychiatric evaluation and approved mentally stable, and adequately loyal to the foundation by at least 2 Senior Medical Officers.
[CONTAINMENT DATA REDACTED]
Containment Procedures have been modified due to incident 3673-S (See addendum 3673-A)
By order of the O5 Council, regular access to SCP-3673’s containment cell is limited to maintenance purposes only, under armed guard surveillance. Access to SCP-3673’s containment cell for testing or observational purposes must be approved by at least 2(two) O5 Personnel & Senior Researcher Nick ███████. It is strictly prohibited, under any circumstances, for anyone other than Class D- Personnel to initiate a transaction using SCP-3673, due to its memetic affects. It is also prohibited for Class-D Personnel to be used to purchase items to benefit the Foundation unless O5-Order: Ploutos has been activated by the O5 Council. (See addendum O-3673).

**Description: ** SCP-3673 is a Black Credit Card measuring 85.6mm wide, 54mm long and 0.76 mm thick, and weighing 5.07 Grams. There are no physically or chemically anomalous properties to SCP-3673 that would make it distinguishable from a regular ATM Card, besides the atypicality of the numbers on the front. The card itself is made of standard PVCA plastic. Indented on the front of the card is the Credit Card number: ████ ████ ████ 3673, the EXP. (Assumed to be the Expiration date): 1/∞, and a string of numbers between the former and latter: 541222415241, that consists solely of 5’s, 4’s, 1’s, and 2’s. At the bottom-front of the card is the name of SCP-3673-1, or the “Cardholder” per say. On the Top-front, there is an unidentified logo. It looks like a [DATA EXPUNGED]. [DATA EXPUNGED]. Years of research has dug up no information on the logo. It is unknown the importance of the Expiration Date or the random string of numbers. On the reverse side of the card is a black mag-stripe, and the CVC number, ███, located directly in the center. SCP-3673 currently has 4 discovered anomalous properties to-date.

1) SCP-3673 cannot be traced to any bank or checking/savings/etc. account. This should render SCP-3673’s 2nd property impossible, due to the fact it is only a credit card, which merely draws from a holding of money. It is unknown if SCP-3673 is withdrawing money from a bank account, or if there is any bank account linked to it at all. A multitude of banks, including [DATA EXPUNGED], were confronted about SCP-3673, however none took responsibility for its creation.

2) SCP-3673 can be used to make any transaction, of any currency, to any account, no matter the monetary value being deducted from the Card’s Account, or how much has been previously deducted. In short, until evidence shows disproof of this, SCP-3673 is considered has an infinite amount of currency available to spend in any transaction withdrawing from its “account”. (See Addendum 3673-B)

3) Despite having the exact chemical composition and atomic structure of PVCA plastic, SCP-3673 is completely indestructible, and has resisted all types of damage the foundation has and can possibly offer. (See Addendum 3673-C)

4) Whenever a human (here-on referred too as SCP-3673-1) first initiates a transaction using SCP-3673, the name indented onto the card will, over the course of 2-17 minutes, “morph” into an indentation of SCP-3673-1’s name, completely replacing whatever name was previously there. Regardless of what name SCP-3673-1 may have listed elsewhere (Ex. Listing a fake name or a pseudonym on a pre-transaction information form or contract for example), the card’s name will always morph into the first and last legal name of SCP-3673-1. After making the first transaction, if left unchecked, SCP-3673-1 will seek out and purchase seemingly any item for sale, regardless if they were informed of SCP-3673’s anomalous nature or not. With each purchase made, SCP-3673-1 will become increasingly “greedier” and seek out more expensive items to buy. (See Addendum 3673-0). SCP-3673-1 will return to their previous state of financial integrity after another subject makes a transaction (Who therefore becomes SCP-3673-1). When no longer under the influence of SCP-3673-1, subject will have a recollection of the events that took place while under SCP-3673’s influence. However, they will not be able to provide justification for why they purchased the items they did.
