Special Containment Procedures :
Interruption of the town and lives of the farmers that live within SCP-XXXX is unacceptable. It would raise the global price of cinnamon to catastrophic levels. This directive is from O5. However containment is simple. Prevention of any unauthorized personnel from entering the caverns under the town will prevent future incidents. All personnel must undergo full genealogy checks to insure that they are not related to persons involved with past interactions with SCP-XXXX. Personnel that are performing experiments must enter alone (exceptions made for Operation Long Haul).

Description : SCP-XXXX Is perfectly circular area of 3.33 KM in Radius encompassing the town of Mount Sanguine in ███ ███████ USA. This appears to be a quiet small town surrounded by trees of the genus Cinnamomum. There is a thriving industry here harvesting the bark from these trees. The layout of the town is unique this could be coincidental to the incidents that have occurred here. At evenly spaced points around the circle are 5 mansions (we have numbered the mansions starting in the NE and moving counter clockwise, Refereed to as M1 - M5). These were built by the founders of the town on 10/31/████. There are roads that connect M1 to M3, M3 to M5, M5 to M2, M2 to M4, And M4 to M1. This creates an inverted pentagram with City hall and the public park at the exact center of this space. There are no other roads in the town.

Any one murdered in the area under the center of the city will be resurrected as a creature bent on vengeance 200 years later. From documentation that was found in M5 (Addendum 1) it has been determined that this vengeance is taken on any living persons that are related by blood to the one/s that committed the act.

Attempts have been made to contact the entity in the central caverns with mixed results. See attached EVP recordings.

In a month it will be 200 years since our ancestors broke the pact. The curse that they started will be brought upon us. I pray that we are forgiven for our moment of weakness.

Two weeks to the night of blood even the townsfolk are aware of the impending doom that faces the council. I have made my peace with the forces at work here that they may spare me my fate.

Dr. [Redacted] has started a long term test using class D personnel on Date [Redacted] Dr. [Redacted] brought 8 subjects in to the chamber they are identified as follows.

At the 200th anniversary of the initiation of the test observation of SCP-XXXX will occur to validate the documentation mentioned in Addendum 1. This is being done without a pact to test the response of SCP-XXXX

Subject 2 will be taken to an undisclosed location outside the border of SCP-XXXX to live and raise a family. Descendants of Subject 2 will be monitored and will not be allowed in the border of SCP-XXXX. After the 200th anniversary has passed observation will be reduced to monthly check in. Genealogy Professor Dr. West has located a distant relative (D-5297) of council member 5. She has had D-5297 brought to SCP-XXXX. D-5297 is unaware of the events of the past. Observation of D-5297 will continue through the life of D-5297. This is to test if SCP-XXXX will react to the presence of D-5297.

Report on Operation Family Tree

D-5297 has been in residence in her ancestral home M5 for 3 months and no reaction from SCP-XXXX has been observed. The next 100 year anniversary of the incident referred to in Addendum 1 is on 10/31/████ If nothing happens then D-5297 will have to put down roots in town to continue the test at the 200th anniversary.
