Dearest M,

A lifetime spent with you seems like a brief flash compared to the many lifetimes I’ve lived since we parted ways only a year ago. The years we spent in harmony outside of their notice, the years we spent moving from place to place under the red sky, observing how they rebuilt the world while also hiding from their detection. The years after, as we all worked together to expose the truth. All of those decades, the love we shared, the bonds we forged, the works we have wrought. All of that taken away in a flash when they came for you and took you away.

They have taken away your liberty, as they have taken away the liberty of countless others. Locked you in a room, deployed their accursed devices that deny you from being who you are. You are left to languish, denied the love and comfort that every human deserves, no matter their circumstance of birth.

They claim to protect the world, but as we have seen with our own eyes, they are incapable of protecting beyond applying a mere bandage. We woke up to the red sun, to the dark clouds that strove to block it’s light. We watched as they fought off the writhing mass. We watched as they negotiated with Sol, and then drove the masses to the lake. We watched as they initiated that infernal machine, and we watched as the world rebuilt itself. We watched the day that humanity carried on like nothing had happened.

They have the power to defy the sun itself, the power to reset the world. They have the power to contain god-like creatures, yet they keep it a secret from the people of this planet. They have the power to help guide the world towards it’s true destiny, yet they choose to use this power to deny freedom to some so that the rest may remain ignorant. The people of this world will never know freedom, whether they know it or not. As long as they have the power to reset the world, no person will ever know true freedom. No thought or action will ever have any consequence so long as the foundation can press a button and reset the world.

We recognize the bodies in the water, for it is our fathers, our mothers, our brothers, our sisters. It is our friends, our enemies, ourselves.

Love,
Patts
