Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4541 is to be kept at Site-██ in a sixty-five by sixty-five meter box suspended in the air via electromagnetic force at all times while under video surveillance. Under no circumstances may any personnel come within one meter of SCP-4541’s containment chamber unless for the purpose of testing. At least four security personell on all sides equipped with a UV flashlight are to be stationed outside of SCP-4541’s chamber at all times in case of a containment breach attempt. Guards are to not make eye contact with the symbol on SCP-4541 activate their UV light towards SCP-4541 in a containment breach attempt.
In the event of a containment breach, Mobile Task Force Ellipson-11 (Nine-Tailed Fox) are to track down SCP-4541 via tracking microchip, and direct their equipped black light towards SCP-4541 for no longer than 9 seconds when encountered, as to not trigger an agitated state.
Description: SCP-4541 is a red sphere measuring 0.5 meters in diameter, appearing to have a symbol of three black dots on its front. SCP-4541 inhibits a small amount of sentience based on its behavior to roll around and attempt to amuse its self by rolling up and down the podium in the center of its chamber (referred to as SCP-4541-1).
SCP-4541 in containment
SCP-4541 has to ability to 'possess' solid objects at will. Based on video feed from SCP-4541's containment, this only occurs when making physical contact with the item SCP-4541 tries to possess. SCP-4541 will attempt to possess either one of the walls or floor at any given time. SCP-4541 accomplishes this by supposedly 'melting' into the object, giving it the properties of a possessed instance. SCP-4541 will then exit the possessed object on any side as it pleases by a process similar to a spilling liquid before regaining its inactive ball shape. It has not been observed for SCP-4541 to possess SCP-4541-1. SCP-4541 cannot possess any object with a volume higher than sixity-four (64) meters.
When an object is possessed, it changes into a red hue and gains the same symbol found on the front of SCP-4541 on any face of its body, whilst admitting a red glow. Making eye contact with the symbol (regardless if on SCP-4541 or a possessed instance of SCP-4541) for more than approximately 15 seconds will cause the observer to [REDACTED] and have them morph into an instance of SCP-4541-2 (see addendum 4541-A). SCP-4541-2 will continue to function as a sapient human being with the eyes and mouth absent. It should be noted that SCP-4541-2 has an intense red hue on its skin after transformation. SCP-4541-2 maintains its general form, and does not go under anything noticeable, except for the loss of eyes, mouth, and the red hue. The effect does not take place through video feedback.
Focused UV light has been proven to irritate SCP-4541, due to its ability to destabilize SCP-4541's form and force it to stay in its inactive ball shape. When exposed to blacklight, SCP-4541 will leave the possessed object (if any) and return to SCP-4541-1 by the fastest possible route. However, long term exposure of UV light aimed towards SCP-4541's containment seems to irritate SCP-4541 to the point entering an agitated state. While in an agitated state, it goes into unpredictable locomotion at speeds recorded up to one-hundred one (101) kilometers per hour. When SCP-4541 is not possessing or moving, it rests on SCP-4541-1 admitting mild amounts of infrared light and radiation, causing a red glow. Whether this is coming from SCP-4541 or SCP-4541-1 and why is still undergoing investigation. However, it it theorized SCP-4541 enters a sleeping state while resting on SCP-4541-1. (See paragraph below)
SCP-4541-1 is active when SCP-4541 is resting inactively on it, otherwise its anomalous properties are not active. When active, SCP-4541-1 cools the surrounding area down to recorded temperatures of -2°C. Study suggests that SCP-4541-1 admits extremely mild amounts of UV light, however this does not seem to irrate SCP-4541 in any way. This could explain SCP-4541's infrared light radiation emission, as for the two factors cancel each other out, letting SCP-4541 remain at a stable temperature while SCP-4541-1 provides a thermal shield.
Addendum 4541-A1: Re: SCP-4541's behavior
SCP-4541 shows to consider a single part of an object as a single object it can possess (Ex: possessing a doorknob instead of the entire door), allowing easy entry into most containment chambers. Previous containment breach surveillance has shown that it seems to have a large interest in interacting with other SCP anomalies, with the most notable interaction being with SCP-2053-1 (See incident report 4541-I1).
Experiment 4541-E1: Experiment re: SCP-4541's effective morph range
D-3298: A 56 year old caucasian male, 182 cm, instructed to approach within .5 kilometers of SCP-4541's containment. Subject was directed to stare at any bright sources of light. The file below is a transcript of radio communication between D-3298 and control during the experiment.
SCP-4541 was transported to a five by five meter box with two UV flashlight equipped guards as to aid in the experiment.
Incident 4541-I1: Re: Containment breach 4541-I1
SCP-4541 breached containment on 07/7/██, and managed to infiltrate the containment chamber of SCP-2053. Video surveillance captured SCP-4541 possessing and leaving the containment doors that lead up to SCP-2053's containment chamber. The file below is video feedback from SCP-2053's containment chamber, along with the translation of SCP-2053-1.

NOTE: Mobile Task Force Elipson-11 was commanded to halt re-containment procedures for SCP-4541 for the purpose of studying this event. SCP-4541 communicated with SCP-2053-1 by possessing it, turning itself accordingly, and then spilling out of it as to see SCP-2053-1's response. How SCP-4541 knew how to communicate with SCP-2053-1 is unknown. After SCP-4541 promised SCP-2053-1 to help it escape, Mobile Task Force Elipson-11 was commanded to continue re-containment procedures.
