Special Containment Procedures: A 500 meter perimeter has been established around the anomalous region, with MTF Theta-4 (“Gardeners”) posing as park rangers and dissuading non-authorised persons from approaching the anomaly. Any non-authorised persons discovered past this perimeter shall be detained and amnestised. Flight paths have been altered to prevent accidental exposure to the anomaly, and satellite imagery modified by foundation personnel with a Cognitive Resistance Value (CRV) of 7 or higher to obfuscate the anomaly. Description: SCP-####-1 is a visual cognitohazard composed of 135 Pinus contorta (Lodgepole Pines) in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. When observed from a top-down perspective, the trees form a shape similar to the seal of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The anomalous properties will affect any observer of these trees who has a CRV less than 7. Upon viewing the cognitohazard, this individual will be reassigned to designation SCP-####-2. SCP-####-2 will gain a sudden affinity for performing tongue twisters, primarily the phrase “the rural bureau mural”. The first spoken iteration of “rural bureau mural” shall be spoken in perfect clarity. However, following the first iteration, SCP-####-2 will be unable to complete the phrase without stumbling over their words, with the failure to complete the phrase becoming more extreme as the iterations continue.
It has been noted that continued attempts shall cause a sharp decline in communicative forms, with complete incapability of forming words occuring after 40 attempted iterations. By providing ####-2 with a standard dose of grade C amnestics prior to the 30th iteration, full communicative ability can be restored. (see Interview log, Addendum 2)
Addendum ####.1: History.
SCP-####-1 was first discovered by Agent ████████ during a chartered flight to Site-11. Upon discovering himself to be subject to these anomalous effects, Agent ████████ turned himself in for testing, and was assigned designation of SCP-####-2-1 following early symptoms of Aphasia.
Containment of SCP-####-1 began in July of 2007, following the discovery of Yellowstone National Park by the foundation1. Fortunately, due to SCP-####-1's isolation to more popular regions of the park, it is estimated that no more than 3,000 persons designated SCP-####-2 exist outside of foundation control.
