Item #: SCP-4296

OBJECT CLASS: Elucid

CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES: SCP-4296 is to be kept in a sealed room. Any personnel wishing to gain access to 4296's containment facility must be at least security level 2 and accompanied by 2 other security officers of same or higher security level, to catch you if you fall into 4296. 4296 is to be flooded with UV light once a week to prevent oxidization on the outside of 4296. UV light can also be used to stop the effects of 4296, though it is not recommended.

DESCRIPTION
SCP-4296 has an outer shell that represents an old iron bathtub. No one can be certain on the origin of 4296, but 90% of its effects on living organisms are yet to be discovered. Its containment must be made of stone as standard walls seem to degrade. The floors are often covered in a strange white powder often described as 'flour' like in texture. This is to be believed that SCP-4296 moves often around the containment cube, but are still unsure of the powder's origin.

«INCIDENT LOG»

Dr. ███████████ fell into 4296 and immediately started to drown even though no liquid was present inside of 4296.
Security Officer ███████ had prolonged nausea due from being in physical contact with SCP-4296.

Dr. ████████ has identified the white powder on floors as oxidization from the iron. They have decided to raise the amount of times 4296 is flooded with UV light, to three times a week.
The powder on the floor can sometimes be putrid in smell though this seems to have no effect.
