SCP-XXXX

Figure A: Still frame taken from camcorder at the thaumiel class container.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is located on the site number of [REDACTED]. The doorway leading to SCP-XXXX is constructed of carbon-based nanotube reinforced chromium with an electro-release and piston lock mechanism. It has been disguised to withstand an EF 9 tornado. The lock mechanism on the valve and pistons will not release unless ██ volts and the correct code is applied in conjunction with counter-clockwise rotation of the valve. The inside of the door is lined with 6 centimeters of industrial noise canceling padding.
Due to the results of the final exploration (see Document SCP-XXXX 1, 2, 3), no personnel are permitted access to SCP-XXXX outside of the observation towers.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an forest with healthy trees. The trees descend on a 38 degree angle for 13 meters before reaching a semicircular tree stump of approximately 3 meters in diameter. Moss growth direction is upwards at each stump. The growths of SCP-XXXX limits subjects to a visual range of approximately 10 feet ahead (unless in one of the many observation towers, limited to MTF, NTF, and scientists.) A light source is required for any subjects exploring SCP-XXXX, due to the fact that lighting sources brighter than 30 watts have shown to be effective as a safeguard for the D class, as SCP-XXXX seems to avoid excess light.
Subjects report and audio recordings confirm the noises from what is presumed to be a strange gargle between the times of entry and ██. The source of the distress calls is estimated to be located behind the human subject. However, any attempts to survey the area for any unusual bodies of heat have failed to bring subjects closer to the source. The only way to currently view SCP XXXX-1,-2 and 3 is with a FLIR camera, which is kept by the armory next to the door. Calculations of the building and geological surroundings has led to the idea that SCP-XXXX is simply just a forest, with an end, however, at this time, it is unknown if SCP-XXXX actually has an endpoint.
Figure B: SCP-XXXX; image from camcorder, different location in thaumiel.
SCP-XXXX has undergone four video recorded explorations by Class-D personnel. Each subject conducting an exploration has encountered SCP-XXXX-1, which appears as a pure black (color as in R 0, G 0, and B 0) humanoid with no visible pupils, genitalia, or clothing. The nature of SCP-XXXX-1 is entirely unclear, but it is known that it is not the source of the gargles. Subjects exhibit feelings of intense hopelessness, depression, and fear when faced with SCP-XXXX-1, but it is undetermined whether said feelings are induced or simply reactions.
Addendum:
Over a period of 2 weeks following Exploration, several members of the staff and MTF from the [REDACTED] site reported gargling at a variable rate of 1-2 seconds per knock coming from the trees of SCP-XXXX. The door leading to SCP-XXXX has been fitted with 6 centimeter thick industrial padding. All reports of gargling have not ceased.
Authorized personnel may refer to documents XXXX-I through research scientists for transcripts of Explorations I - 3.
