Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5083 is to be contained with SCP-5038-1 at site ███████. Any on-site personnel below Level 3 clearance are to not be permitted to communicate or interact with SCP-5038 as it enters an agitated state when talked to in a certain manner or treated with a lack of respect. Requiring the presence of professionals who have handled said sensitive anomalies in previous encounters with SCP's.
SCP-5038 is to be contained within a 4m x 4m x 4m room with 15 cm reinforced walls with no lights except a singular average lightbulb that must reside over SCP-5038-1 at all times. Any Level 3 or higher personnel seeking to speak with SCP-5038 must first be given a psych evaluation to assure that they are mentally prepared to encounter SCP-5038 before entering. On site doctors are permitted by staff and SCP-5038 to enter but with only the intention to maintain SCP-5038-1's internal health and physique.
Description: SCP-5038 is a shadowy figure that can shapeshift itself into any manner of creature, object, or person as seen in previous encounters. But merely pertains an orb like form with a singular eye upon it. The only plausible description we can get off of SCP-5038 is that it's eye is pitch black with a singular golden streak splitting down center within it, allowing us to believe that to be its iris. Whenever any personnel come in contact with SCP-5038's eye it is reported that they can still feel and even see it's gaze even when not in its line of sight. Individuals suffering under SCP-5038's influence have reported to have suffered under the following effects
- Insomnia
- Reoccurring nightmares
- Hallucinations
- Loss of appetite
- Memory issues
- Trouble with focus
- Suicidal tendencies
An Individual suffering from these symptoms were given an Class-Y amnestic after reviewed for information pertaining SCP-5038 per his request, only for staff to discover that the amnestic had no effect on him prior the accustomed dosage which lead to an on-site suicide from him now having forgotten what happened moments before while also still suffering from underlying conditions. Which may have only been enhanced by the dosage.
SCP-5038 appears to be genderless. Even it's voice carrying multiple vocal points. Sometimes it can be seen as a woman around 1.5 meters in height, and other times a male figure around 2.7 meters in height. When in a humanoid form, it's eye also replicates that of a human eye in familiarity. In some cases, it will be formless and simply an eye gazing down at the room. SCP-5038 seems to have full control of its own frame which makes the likelihood of breaching more likely. Yet with SCP-5038-1 being alive, SCP-5038 seems to have no interest in escaping or leaving the facility. It's prime focus only being on SCP-5038-1 whom remains in a persistent vegetative state no matter what actions are taken. It is suspected that SCP-5038 may have some influence on this.
Following this, due to the nature of SCP-5038's abilities to linger within ones mind all personnel who come in contact with SCP-5038 are to be classified as SCP-5038-2 and are to be secured and contained within a room until the effects of SCP-5038 wear off. If an individual believes themselves to be better, they are to be given another psyche evaluation to assure that said personnel are safe to release from containment. No longer marking these individuals as SCP-5038-2.
When tested what happens to those not aiming to help SCP-5038-1 with D-Class personnel; SCP-5038 had merely watched to see what the subject at hand would do to SCP-5038-1 only to realize that the individual wasn't there to talk or help. Causing SCP-5038 to enter an agitated state almost immediately after. The lightbulb within the room will follow up by flickering off and what follows is the ████ and ████ of the D-Class personnel. When the light comes back on, the D-Class personnel that were sent in is no longer within the room.
After a review with SCP-5038, we learned of what happened to the D-Class personnel and have decided to label them as SCP-5038-3.
SCP-5038-1 is a Human Latino Male discovered alongside SCP-5038 within an abandoned home in ████. Following an investigation after police were sent to kick out squatters from the old residence per the renovators request after being scared out by some voices she had heard within the structure while checking the homes condition. The four cops who were sent out to find the squatters were also accompanied by a Foundation Agent hiding among their ranks who had helped discovered SCP-5038 and SCP-5038-1.
When they had arrived and heard the voices that the renovator previously discussed they had went to the location of interest only to find SCP-5038-1 sleeping in bed with only the singular light illuminating the room. Carefully, our agent stood back upon this notice due to his experience with anomalies and examined the room while the police went to awake the man. Once touched, SCP-5038 would appear and snatch an Officer by her hair. Causing her to begin wailing out in which the other Officers took notice and fired at SCP-5038. Our Agent stood back and watched as SCP-5038 put the three individuals into a ████ █████. Once done, Our agent said that SCP-5038 showed no hostility towards him and simply stared at him before going back to watching SCP-5038-1.
After the incident, our agent alerted The Foundation of what occurred which followed with the deployment of MTF Unit Epsilon-6 ("Village Idiots") to handle the situation. After their deployment they were able to successfully secure and transport SCP-5038-1 which were followed by SCP-5038 that showed no hostility towards the MTF Unit transporting the John Doe.
Any information pertaining to SCP-5038 and SCP-5038-1 must be kept locked away and secured at site █████.
