Special Containment Procedures: All instances of SCP-???? are to be contained in a standard containment room sutable for weapon storage at Site-██ (excluding SCP-????-9). Each instance is to be placed on with its designated sheath, marked by the Kanji representing the material that is affected by each blade's anomalous effect (except SCP-????-9, see Special containment Procedure ????-9), resting on a standard Japanese 3 sword stand of a non ferromagnetic material.
Each instance of SCP-???? (again save for SCP-????-9) is to be cleaned on a bi monthly basis as outlined in manual ????-A, each to its section. This practice is to be suspended in case of containment breach until control is re-established. Access is to be restricted with a numerical keypad, the codes of which can be accessed by clearance from Dr. ████ ██.
Special Containment Procedures SCP-????-9: SCP-????-9 is to be contained no more than 10 m from the standard containment unit for the other instances of SCP-????. The single instance is to be stored vertically within a .3 m by .3 m by 1.5 m opaque triple planed black tinted glass. The glass is to be air gaped and the corners of all glass be sealed with industrial strength adhesive.
There is to be no shadow within this containment unit, illuminated by high intensity lighting from the 8 corners pointed inward to create continuous light on all surfaces of the glass. Backup generators are to be linked to these lights capable of sustained power for no fewer than 216 hours.
Glass containment to be placard with approved Japanese Kanji in accordance to Manuel SCP-????-9.A and covered with supplied black iron chains and locks. Keys are to be kept by Dr. ████ ███ and can only be obtained with authorization of two Level 4 staff members. Entrance to containment unit to be sealed by a titanium alloy door capable of withstanding high impact ballistic impact.
Description: SCP-???? Is a series of Japanese style Tachi blades created by G█████ D██████ created from 10██ to 19██ for various swordsmen from various eras. Each blade has an unique anomalous effect that is represented by a bronze end cap of the blade marked with traditional Kanji of the era it was created in.

This appears as a buzzing of varying effect to all within 10 m of the instance. When the blade is moved this vibration is concentrated from the leading edge of the sword and will produce a cutting effect along a straight line at any distance from the blade within visual range of the instance. |

A bronze handle cap depicts that traditional kanji for “Lightning.” | When the blade is not placed within the protective sheath this blade produces an em field and photons consistent with plasma discharge from atmospheric lighting. This can be directed with a sword motion. Intensity of lighting is consistent no matter the amount of discharge even after continuous discharge. SCP-????-5 can also take into itself a seemingly unlimited amount of charge stored by unknown means. |

It’s wrappings and guard have a deep green and brown tint and the blade itself is marked with images of plants and forests. A bronze handle cap depicts that traditional kanji for “Wood.” | SCP-????-6 constantly emits a wavelength of light constant surrounding 535 nm. When placed into a material consisting of a substance once or currently of the Kingdom Plantae, material will expand or produce a growth that will cause the material to double in size every 2.54 seconds. This growth can be shaped at the behest of the wielder of SCP-????-6 within expected limits of that material growing at such an accelerated rate. This can also be reversed, shrinking or causing decay at an inverse rate. |

It’s wrappings and guard have a teal and silver tint and the blade itself is marked with images of various blades. A bronze handle cap depicts that traditional kanji for “Metal.” | The blade of SCP-????-7 produces a constant em field that is consistent with the material of the blade under ferromagnetic effects. This field can fluctuate in patterns produced by the whims of the wielder of SCP-????-7. This will affect ferromagnetic capable material within 50 m of SCP-????-7 and will manipulate them by changing that field’s intensity. Precision control is possible with continuous use but most effects are wide ranging often causing danger to inexperienced wielders. |

It’s wrappings and guard have a light yellow and blue tint and the blade itself is marked with images of sun rise and set. A bronze handle cap depicts that traditional kanji for “Light.” | Blade of SCP-????-8 constantly emits radiation in the visible spectrum usually settling no specific wavelength at rest visualized as white light. This can fluctuate to any wavelength within the visual spectrum with precision control coming after continuous use and understanding of the effect. Produced effects include increasing intensity, a perfect circular rainbow, a psuedo cloaking of distorted visuals, [Redacted], etc. |
| SCP-????-9 | 人間 | SCP-????-9 is a Tachi of the traditional japanese style contestant with that of the [Redacted] era in Japan at a length of 1.5 m. It’s wrappings and guard have a dark blade and blood red and the blade itself is marked with images of wisps and skulls. A bronze handle cap depicts that traditional kanji for “Soul.” | This blade by unknown means produces a memetic effect that can anomalously control all other humans within a 10 m range of anyone wielding the instance. This can be done verbally or non verbally by known means. When The blade is not in possession of a human host it produces a constant field of memetic effects with 5 m that draws all humans to wish to take the blade. This can be reduced by procedures listed in its containment procedure to within .5 m of the instance. |

It’s dimensions are unknown. | Though the range is unable to be tested and exact effects uncorroborated, current known effects of SCP-????-10 can trigger and interrupt all other SCP-???? instant anomalous effects. Addendum ????-01: Instances 1-6 were found at the front entrance of Site-██ with a note written in Modern Japanese Kanji. Once it was translated by site scientists that communicated with appropriate departments it was a letter (see attached document [Redacted] ) from the supposed creator the these blades, one G██████ D██████, along with descriptions for the effect and care of each instance which were adopted and adapted per SCP containment procedure. ██ days later a second note and Instance 7 was delivered, retrieved, and contained. This second letter (see attached document [Redacted] ) described the current containment of Mr. D██████ by a previously unknown SCP obtaining agencies out of ███████, Japan by known means. Described was the method of supposed communication (See Procedure ????-██ ) and began length communication between Foundation and Mr. D██████ (Complete list of communications Logs can be viewed by contacting Dr. ████ ███. From this communication instance 8 and 9 and special containment necessity for later.
Addendum ????-02: Current plans are in motion to recover Mr. D██████ and place him within Foundation custody but due to effective imprisonment procedures it is an ongoing process. Current time table for extraction is unknown due to time dilation between letters received but is expected before [Redacted].
Addendum ????-03: Description and effect of SCP-????-10 produced with recent communication and will be added on a provisional basis until proof of its existence can be proven. Further addendums will be necessary if more information can be gleaned from communications or direct retrieval can be achieved.
Addendum ????-04: In the more recent deliveries from Mr. D██████ came a research journal and manuscripts that detailed the process from which he created the instances and his methods (see attached document ????.1). Many of the materials are terrestrial in nature with only a select few of unknown origin which are to be discussed with Mr. D██████ once he is obtained. One such material of note is similar in nature to SCP-143 using the wood handles. The metal described was once believed to be a variant of SCP-148 but the “nature adaptive metal” as described by Mr. D██████ is different in nature, color, and effect.
Note: Due to the still unknown nature of much of the effects of these swords and the fact their creator is still mostly unknown there will not be any cross experimentation between these and other SCP’s. Until we learn more or obtain the supposed SCP-????-10 that is not going to change, especially humanoid SCP’s.
