Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be housed in a standard containment locker in Site-54's astronomy department. Experiments with SCP-XXXX are to be preformed weekly to ensure SCP-XXXX-1 remains cooperative. Any instances of MXXXX's resurgence is to be reported to level 3 or higher research staff immediately.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an educational children's tablet, similar in function and appearance to a LeapFrog brand LeapPad. SCP-XXXX appears to have been created to teach children about the moons of our solar system.
When SCP-XXXX is turned on the phrase "Let's learn about the moons!" is displayed, which then transitions into SCP-XXXX's home screen. The home screen houses multiple applications, a list of which can be found below. The app with the most signifigant concern, labeled the "Adventure" app, is capable of transporting SCP-XXXX's user directly to any moon of their choice. The user does not need to be wearing any kind of special protective gear for this transportation to take place and has caused multiple fatalities. See Adventure App logs for details.
The supposed mascot of SCP-XXXX, hereby referred to as SCP-XXXX-1, is [Visual description here], and is seen accompanying the user on every screen. SCP-XXXX-1 eagerly guides the user as they open and play with the apps, often providing helpful tips when the user appears stuck or remains idle.
SCP-XXXX was discovered after a five year old child in Hagerman, New Mexico was found dead in his room and brought in to the local hospital. The child had died from asphyxiation, but their body had been inflated to almost twice it's normal size, the skin was dried out, and autopsy showed that the child's lungs had burst. SCP-XXXX was stuck in the grip of the child's corpse. Foundation agents stationed at the facility confiscated the device and delivered it to foundation officials.
