Special Containment Procedures: All instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be kept in the biodome located at Site ██, located in the █████████ region of Brazil. All personnel who will be interacting with anymore than 3 instances of SCP-XXXX-1 at one time must be trained to resist level 3 cognitiohazards. Each instance must be implanted with an intradermal tracking device within 2 days of the instance being discovered. Every 5 years, all adult instances must be terminated be MTF-Gamma-10 (Pest Control). Should SCP-XXXX-2 begin to form MTF-Gamma-10 should be mobilized immediately, and termination of any remaining mature SCP-XXXX-1 intances should begin as soon as possible by on-site security staff.

Description: SCP-XXXX is the collective name given to all instances of SCP-XXXX-1, of which there are currently ████. SCP-XXXX-1 is a rodent-like mammalian creature similar in appearence to Phoberomy Pattersoni, a rodent believed to have gone extinct 8 million years ago. SCP-XXXX has only been observed to eat vegitation view Incident Report XXXX 11-23-████. SCP-XXXX-2 is [REDACTED].

SCP-XXXX-1 has the ability to alter the perception of anyone observing instances of SCP-XXXX-1, and as more instances of SCP-XXXX-1 congregate in a single area, the affect is more pronounced. Personnel have reported SCP-XXXX instances to be numerous different things, however any video or picture of SCP-XXXX-1 in the Foundation's possesion shows SCP-XXXX-1 to be uniform in appearence. It can be concluded that SCP-XXXX-1's perception altering abilities only affect those who view SCP-XXXX directly. For a list of what different instaces of SCP-XXXX is described as, see

SCP-XXXX when viewed in groups larger than 3 begin to change in appearence, usually taking the form of a predator. SCP-XXX has been observed to be a:

• Hippoptomas

SCP-XXXX was brought to the Foundation's attention in 20██ when Agent ███████ was investigating rumors of extremely dangerous animals in high numbers in the area surrounding ███████ River. Agent ███████ was at first taken aback at sighting "The largest [EXPLICATIVE] pterosaur huddled over a [EXPLICATIVE] Jaguar".

Clearance Level XXXX/2 Required

Testing of SCP-XXXX's Anomalous Properties:
Conducted by: Dr. West
Subject: Agent ███████
Procedure: Agent ███████ will be introduced to one instance of SCP-XXXX-1 at a time. He will write down what he sees, and upon his satisfaction with the description another instance will be added to the testing chamber. The testing chamber has 2 rooms, seperated by a wall of glass.
Results: With 1 instance Agent ███████ viewed SCP-XXXX-1 in it's true appearance. A second instance was added to the chamber. Agent ███████ reported no difference. After a third instance was added, Agent ███████ reported experiencing a "Massive [EXPLICATIVE] headache". He closed his eyes and upon looking at SCP-XXXX-1 he saw what appeared to be a jaguar cub. Test was aborted after the trigger for the anomaly was discovered.
Analysis: The affects of XXXX seem to be tied directly to the number of instances in one area. I'll need to request some more D-Class personnel for experimentation. -Dr. West

Subject: D-105832. D-105832 has a chronic phobia of reptiles.
Procedure: D-105832 will be released into biodome where she will be exsposed to all instances of SCP-XXXX currently in the Foundation's possession (at the time of experimetation the population of SCP-XXXX was reported at 1483)
Results: Upon entering the biodome, D-105832 screamed "SO MANY [EXPLICATIVE] SNAKES! IS THAT A [EXPLICATIVE] DRAGON?". Upon D-105832 promptly collapsed and upon recovery, was discovered to have suffered a heart attack and had died.
Analysis: XXXX seems to take on a form that will scare away whatever is approaching it.
XXXX should be introduced to test subjects, not the other way around. -Dr. West

Subject: Agent ████. Agent ████ is trained to resist level 3 cognitiohazards.
Procedure: Agent ████ will be introduced to one instance of SCP-XXXX-1 at a time. She will say what she sees, and when she is ready another instance will be added to the testing chamber.
Results: Agent ████ reported no change in appearance until ███ instances of SCP-XXXX were added to which she experienced a headache, similar to Agent ███████, and upon looking back at all instances of SCP-XXXX-1, she saw a spider on the glass seperating her from the numerous SCP-XXXX-1 instances.
Analysis: XXXX's affect becomes more powerful when more are conentrated in a single area -Dr. West

Subject: D-230972. D-230972 is a sociopath, and as such is incapable of feeling fear.
Procedure: D-230972 will be introduced to 10 instances of SCP-XXXX-1 at a time, until D-230972 begins to feel the affects of SCP-XXXX-1.
Results: D-230972 showed no sign of being affected by SCP-XXXX-1 until ███ instances were gathered in one area, at which point D-230972 collapsed. Upon examination of D-230972, it was discovered he died of a brain aneurysm.
Analysis: XXXX seems to be able to affect all sapient beings, however this raises the question of how they weren't hunted to extinction. XXXX has never been observed to have any aggressive or even self defensive actions. -Dr. West

Subject: 1 Hunting dog, trained to hunt rodents by scent.
Procedure: 1 instance of SCP-XXXX-1 will be introduced to the testing chamber before the dog is also released into the chamber.
Results: Upon the dog's release into the chamber, it began to track SCP-XXXX-1 by smell. Once the dog gazed upon SCP-XXXX-1, it immediately retreated and hid its head underneath its paws. Test was aborted upon the reaction.
Analysis: Furthur testing required. -Dr. West

Addendum XXXX-B:

Clearance Level XXXX/3 Required

Incident Report XXXX-11-23-████

0901: Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 begin to congregate by the eastern wall of the biodome.

0903: All mature instances of SCP-XXXX-1 have gathered at the wall.

0904: SCP-XXXX-1 instances begin to cannibalize, growing in size with each instance consumed.

0907: Only one instance of SCP-XXXX-1, from here on referred to as SCP-XXXX-2 remains roughly [REDACTED] meters tall and [REDACTED] kilograms in weight.

0908: SCP-XXXX-2 begins to slam into the wall.

0910: SCP-XXXX-2 breaches containment, crashing through the wall. It then seems to enter a rage state, charging at the wall of the facility. All personnel who lacked training or natural resistances to cognitiohazards promptly collased dead upon witnessing SCP-XXXX-2. Total casualties number at █ Agents, ██ D-Class, and ██ Research Staff.

0911: MTF-Gamma-10 mobilized.

0911: MTF-Gamma-10 engages SCP-XXXX-2.

0927: SCP-XXXX-2 is confirmed to have been terminated.

Autopsy Results: SCP-XXXX-2 was revealed to have ██ hearts and █ brains. Upon further examination each brain was releasing serotonin at a rapid rate, roughly 13 times the amount that a human produces proportionally to the size of SCP-XXXX-2's brains. No skeletal structure was found in the remains of SCP-XXXX-2, a resquest has been made to theh O5 council to recreate SCP-XXXX-2 in a more controlled environment.
