Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: euclid

Special Containment Procedures: scp-xxxx is kept in area 68 in a secure vault built into the east wall of sector-14, guarded by 2 security guards. scp-xxxx`s vault must be guarded at all times. every 3 days scp-xxxx must be brought to sector-14 and produce a scp-xxxx-1. scp-xxxx-1 must then be added to the next available shelf in sector-14. As soon as half of the shelves in sector-14 are occupied, construction of sector-15 can begin. access to the vault requires level 3 security clearance and researchers must be escorted by armed personnel.

Description: scp-xxxx is a key approximately 10cm long with nothing noticeably anomalous about it. when the scp is placed into the keyhole of a door and turned, the door becomes indestructible as far as we know. if the door [further known as scp-xxxx-1] is properly hinged to a door frame, scp-xxxx-1 is inseparable from the door frame. if scp-xxxx does not create an scp-xxxx-1 every three days, the scp will cause anyone near to feel extremely sick. Despite all attempts, both scp`s cannot be destroyed and will reconstruct itself when broken.

people affected by scp-xxxx may experience:

  • nausea
  • tunnel vision
  • decreased reaction time
  • earaches

Some personnel are immune to the effects of scp-xxxx, although the reason remains unknown.
The sickness is extremely contagious and any personnel suspected to have the sickness must be quarantined until an scp-xxxx-1 is produced. The foundation is amazed how no outbreak had occurred before retrieval of the scp.

incident-xxxxA 16/██/████, a security guard knocked down a shelving unit in sector-14 yesterday, leaving a pile of scp-xxxx-1`s blocking the entrance. we know it was you Tom. the shelve has been repaired and all scp-xxxx`s placed back onto it. extra steel bars have been implemented into the shelves for reinforcement.

incident-xxxxB 29/██/████, scp-xxxx went missing. researcher Thomas supposedly dropped the scp while removing it from its vault. several personnel reported feeling ill and light headed. 2 hours later when another researcher found the key beneath the shelves and returned it to Thomas. A tracking device has been attached to scp-xxxx.
