Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be monitored at all times by on site personnel. The site is to be blocked off under the guise that it is a section of subway currently under construction. If an entity is to come out of SCP-XXXX it is to assessed as to whether it can be recovered and shot accordingly if deemed too dangerous to move to containment. Any objects or entities that can be recovered from SCP-XXXX should be recovered and brought back to Site-19 for further study. No personnel are to be permitted to enter SCP-XXXX unless given permission by O5 personnel. Any personnel entering SCP-XXXX must be equipped with the following equipment: Standard issue high powered assault rifle with sidearm, three magazines of ammo for each weapon, 2000 lumen flashlight, military-grade hazmat suit designed for low oxygen environments, and one air canister.

After the events of Exploration XXXX-4, D-Class personnel are not to be permitted to enter SCP-XXXX and the object class of SCP-XXXX is to be upgraded from Euclid to Keter.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a stretch of anomalous subway tunnel located in Madrid, Spain. The tunnel breaks off from the main line halfway between ███████ Station and ████████ Station. The tunnel does not appear on any maps of the subway. Expeditions into the tunnel have showed that the tunnel is virtually infinite with no end in sight. GPS tracking has shown that subjects sent into the tunnel appear to be tracked to the corresponding location they would be at for a tunnel of that size. Subjects have followed the tunnel to travel out of the boundaries of the city and beyond the range of local municipal subway tunnels. Subjects have been able to follow the tunnel far enough that they should be in [DATA EXPUNGED]. However, attempts to excavate into the tunnel have uncovered only dirt and sonar readings of the tunnel have uncovered that it does not seem to physically exist outside of its entrance.

SCP-XXXX seems to have no trains running along it although it does have stations. These stations are not named but they do have numerical designations with #1 closest to the entrance and so on. Subjects who exit out of these stations seem to be taken to different time periods or spacial locations. Stations further down the line begin to lead to alternate universes where spacial dimension becomes warped with each world gaining more and more spacial dimensions until it is physically impossible for subjects to exit the station without them [DATA EXPUNGED].

Sometimes entities from the other sides of these stations enter SCP-XXXX and wander the tunnel. These entities range from docile animals and confused humans to dangerous predators and malicious sentient entities. Some entities include:

SCP-XXXX-1: A young girl constantly floating one foot off the ground who speaks in an unknown language.

SCP-XXXX-3: A passive mammal resembling a large opossum.

SCP-XXXX-7: An aggressive primate resembling a chimpanzee that attacked and ate two D-class personnel on site.

SCP-XXXX-10: A young man of Indian descent who claimed he was running away from English soldiers when he arrived here. He has been brought into Foundation custody for further questioning.

SCP-XXXX-15: A strange glowing man in a trench coat who is always seen at a distance walking further into the tunnel. Subjects following him claim he is "always one step ahead of them."¹

SCP-XXXX-21: A tentacled monster that hunted subjects inside the tunnel for several kilometers until finally striking. All weaponry failed to terminate instance and entity was eventually killed when it reached the tunnel entrance and was terminated when it attempted to breach containment.

Addendum 001: SCP-XXXX was first brought to the attention of the Foundation when police officers stumbled upon the tunnel when investigating claims about missing teenagers known for urban exploration. Although it is believed that SCP-XXXX had been known about for much longer. Foundation Agents found while questioning subway workers that the tunnel had been known about among employees of Madrid's transportation system as a "haunted tunnel." Although nobody knew where the tunnel went attempts to block off the tunnel resulted in the wall being torn down by an unknown force years later.

Addendum 002: During initial police investigations of the tunnel a video camera was found approximately ███ meters into the tunnel. The video seems to have been recorded by an urban explorer. Their body was never recovered. This log has been translated from Spanish:

Civilian 1: We're here in the haunted tunnel of Madrid about to start walking down. As you can see…

Civilian 1 opens his arms out wide and looks around

Civilian 1: …we're at the entrance to the tunnel.

Civilian 1's friend, from here on refereed to as Civilian 2, speaks up

Civilian 2: This place is freezing!

Civilian 1: Probably the ghosts, let's get in there.

The two kids walk into the tunnel. The crunching of gravel can be heard underneath their feet for several minutes as they walk deeper. At about ██ minutes into the video a noise sounding somewhat like a whale song can be heard.

Civilian 2: Oh ████, what was that?

Civilian 1: Probably just a train.

The two continue to walk farther in for a few more minutes. At this point it's here they come to the first station.

Civilian 1: And here we come to a station along the haunted tunnel. How old do you think this place is?

Civilian 2: I don't know, maybe like a hundred years old?

Civilian 1 laughs

Civilian 1: Who knows, maybe older.

Right after he says this a loud noise can be heard nearby down the tunnel.

Civilian 1: Holy ████, did you hear that?.

Civilian 2 makes a whimpering sound in recognition and turns the camera down to face further down the tunnel. At the edge of their flashlight beam a naked humanoid figure can be scene. The sound of whale song returns loud enough to distort the audio. The teenagers run back but when Civilian 2 turns to look back Civilian 1 is being dragged by his feet further into the tunnel. It's at this point Civilian 2 drops the camera and continues running.

An investigation is currently underway in finding the identity of Civilian 2.

Exploration Logs: Following are the exploration logs from Site-XXXX:

Exploration I

Date: ██/██/████

Subject is D-4768, 25-year old Caucasian male, thin build. History of sexual violence and theft and heavy drug use, psychological profile shows a lack of inhibition. Subject is equipped with a 2000 lumen flashlight, a 9 millimeter pistol, and a video camera attached to his shirt with a wireless audio/video feed. Dr. █████ remains in communication with him.

D-4768 stands in front of the tunnel, adjusts his camera, and turns on his flashlight.

D-4768: It's real dark in there, doc. You want me to go in there?

Dr. █████: Yes, please proceed down the tunnel.

D-4768 begins to walk down the tunnel muttering to himself the whole time that he's been in worse places. The subject stops abruptly at the sound of movement up ahead.

D-4768: Did you hear that, doc?

Dr. █████: Yes, please proceed to get a better look at what's up ahead.

D-4768: I think it's watching me.

Dr. █████: Do you see anything?

D-4768: No.

Dr. █████: Please proceed.

D-4768 continues to walk down the tunnel, a quiet growling can be heard about █ minutes in but subject does not seem to react. A few minutes later the first station comes up.

D-4768: I see a station, are there supposed to be stations here?

Dr. █████: Yes, please climb up onto the platform and look for an exit.

D-4768 climbs up with some difficulty but eventually gets on top of the platform. Subject pans flashlight along the walls and looks at advertisements on the walls for products he's never heard of. Subject makes a sound of bemusement and begins searching for and exit and finds a powered down escalator. Subject begins walking up it and sees a light.

Dr. █████: D-4768, what do you see?

D-4768: It's a light, I'm checking it out.

Subject turns off his flashlight and begins following the light.

Dr. █████: D-4768, please turn your light back on and return to Site-XXXX.

D-4768 does not respond to Dr. █████'s request and continues up. Shortly after a loud growl is heard from behind D-4768. Subject turns on flashlight and pans back to reveal a large black dog with red eyes. Subject releases sever expletives in a state of panic and begins shooting at the dog.

Dr. █████: D-4768, please calm down. Agents are on their way to your location, we need the entity alive.

Subject does not respond and continues shooting.

Dr. █████: D-4768, cease fire immediately! ████!

Video is cut off. Agents arrive at Station 1 to recover subject and SCP-XXXX instance. Subject is alive but remains in a panicked state. Instance recovered dead, shot 10 times although it is thought that it died after only three. Studies on body of instance indicate it is a typical canis familiaris and likely posed a minimal threat to subject. D-4768 currently being given psychological treatment.

+ Exploration XXXX-2 Video Log

Exploration II

Date: ██/██/████

Subject is D-2759, 31-year old Caucasian female, large build, history of physical violence and hate crimes. Was brought to the Foundation when subject repeatedly engaged in fights with other inmates. Psychological profile is somewhat unremarkable. Subject is equipped with a 2000 lumen flashlight, 9 millimeter pistol, and a video camera attached to her shirt with a wireless audio/video feed along with a GPS tracking device. Dr. █████ remains in communication with her.

Video feed begins, subject turns on her flashlight.

D-2759: You want me to go in there?

Dr. █████: Yes, please proceed down the tunnel until we recall you.

Subject walks forward for ███ meters without incident until she arrives at Station 1.

D-2759: I'm at a station, what should I do?

Dr. █████: Please climb up and explore the station.

Subject inspects the station and walks towards the escalator. Subject sees light at the end of the escalator.

D-2759: Want me to walk up there?

Dr. █████: Please.

Subject continues up the escalator until she reaches the top. At the top there appears to be a desert with rust colored sand that stretches all around. Subject is initially shocked by this. Suddenly sounds of choking come through the video feed. D-2759 drops to the ground and becomes unresponsive. Video feed ends.

GPS tracking of D-2759 shows her not to be on Earth. After some searching it is revealed she is on Mars and her death was due to asphyxiation. Agents ██████ and ███████ sent out to recover her. All future explorations must be performed with proper environmental equipment as per the request of Dr. █████.

Exploration III

Date: ██/██/████

Subject is D-2935, 27-year old Asian male with a history of armed robbery and gang violence. Psychological profile reveals nothing of note, subject entered the Foundation when they were offered a shorter sentence if they worked with us. Subject is equipped with a 2000 lumen flashlight, a 9 millimeter pistol, military grade hazmat suit equipped with an oxygen tank with enough oxygen to last five hours, and a video camera attached to his suit with a video/audio feed along GPS tracking device. Dr. █████ remains in communication with him

Subject turns on flashlight and looks down the tunnel.

D-2935: So you want me to just walk down there.

Dr. █████: Yes, please follow the tunnel for a long as it goes or until we ask you to return you us.

D-2935 begins walking, after ███ meters moaning can be heard in the distance.

*D-2935:** What was that?

Dr. █████: Please continue forward to investigate the sound.

Subject continues on, moaning gets louder and louder and the source is found to be a young girl crying along the side of the tracks.

D-2935: It's a girl. Hey, are you doing OK.

Subject attempts to console the girl by reaching his hand out to her, it is at this moment that he realizes that she is floating one foot off the ground.

Dr. █████: Please don't interfere with here.

D-2935: Oh god, oh god, what is she?

Dr. █████: Please don't interfere, we will send agents to recover here, please continue walking. If she attacks use your gun.

//D-2935 continues walking but maintains eye contact with the instance until she is out of site. Subject exhibits signs of paranoia as he continues on to the first station.

D-2935: What was that, man?

Dr. █████: None of your concern, she has been recovered by our agents, please continue.

D-2935: I think it's definitely my business if I'm gonna be down here.

Dr. █████ reminds subject that non-cooperation will result in punishment up to or including termination and subject is quiet from then on. Subject continues walking forward without incident past five more stations. The video then begins to pick up a light.

D-2935: I think I see something up ahead, like a light.

*Dr. █████:** Please follow the light.

/Subject walks towards the light until he is able to get a closer look.//

D-2935: He looks like a man, he's glowing, wearing a trench coat.

Dr. █████: Are you able to catch up with this man?

D-2935: You want me to catch up with him? Are you crazy?

Dr. █████: Agents are on their way to assist you in the recovery of the instance.

Subject begins to chance after the instance, moving faster and faster but he fails to make any progress despite the appearance that the instance appears to only be walking at a casual pace.

D-2935: [Breathing heavily] Oh god, he's one step ahead of me, I can't catching him
