Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be surrounded by a security perimeter 2 5 kilometres in radius. Under no circumstances are staff to enter SCP-XXXX, with all testing to be performed by D-Class personnel. All testing on SCP-XXXX is to be approved beforehand by 2 level 4 staff. All instances of SCP-XXXX-1 found attempting to breach this security perimeter are to be terminated on sight.
Site-XXXX is to built and maintained 2 km north of SCP-XXXX, and is to function as a base of operations for research and exploration. No buildings are to be constructed within 10 km of SCP-XXXX, and all buildings currently within this area are to be destroyed.
Description: SCP-XXXX is the small village of ████████ in Yorkshire, England. SCP-XXXX is approximately 1 km in diameter, and consists of 36 residences, 4 farms, 2 newsagents, a first school/nursery and a post office.
When an intelligent creature comes within 500 metres of SCP-XXXX's perimeter, they will feel groggy and slow, reducing mental acuity greatly. The same effect has been observed occurring with electronics, with all electrical items within the above proximity of SCP-XXXX experiencing a severe drop in performance. Both effects are found to peak within 10 metres of the town square.
If living creature enters a building in SCP-XXXX, it will begin attempting to engulf the victim by warping its internal structure to surround and trap its prey. SCP-XXXX will then begin to slowly drain all of the nutrients from the creature, the process taking several days. SCP-XXXX has been observed to change its method of attack when initial attempts fail, creating speculation that SCP-XXXX possesses a low level of predatory intelligence.
SCP-XXXX-1 are the remains of some of past victims of SCP-XXXX. While most are digested, some lose all higher brain functions and are released into SCP-XXXX's streets. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are found to be docile until an attempt is made to damage the structure of any buildings in SCP-XXXX. In the event SCP-XXXX is damaged, SCP-XXXX-1 will attack the perpetrator, punching and clawing at the neck and eyes, until the target expires. Then, they will attempt to repair the damage. The success rate of their attempts varies on the severity of the damage itself.
