Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be monitored at all times by Foundation personnel. Traffic traveling southbound on the interstate expressway is permitted. Off ramps leading into the surrounding residential block are to be blocked by roadwork warning signs, vehicles attempting to enter the anomalous area are to be redirected by Foundation personnel.

SCP-XXXX-1 is to have all entrances sealed off with 120x440cm (one hundred twenty centimeters by four hundred forty centimeters) sheets of plywood. Windows of SCP-XXXX-1 have been removed and replaced with 120x440cm sheets of plywood. Entry is allowed with clearance of researchers overseeing the monitoring of SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX-A, SCP-XXXX-B, and SCP-XXXX-C are currently housed at Site-06-3. The anomalies are currently in a vegetative states and are to be contained in medical facilities. Medical personnel are to check for brain activity and responsiveness daily.

Description: SCP-XXXX was once a residential district located on the outskirts of █████, Ohio. █████ was connected to the interstate expressway I-75 by an on-off ramp which was the source of most of the city's traffic.

On December 11th, 1989 SCP-XXXX was evacuated by government officials due to concerns regarding asbestos found in the district's water supply. The infrastructure was planned to be replaced before Foundation personnel quarantined the area due to an anomalous event involving SCP-XXXX-1.

SCP-XXXX-1 was a video arcade establishment constructed in the year 1984. On January 5th, 1990, SCP-XXXX-1 was the location of the anomalous event that caused SCP-XXXX-A, SCP-XXXX-B, and SCP-XXXX-C to enter a rigid, vegetative state.

The anomalous event was described by local civilian populace to be a large, blinding light emission originating from SCP-XXXX-1. Most electronics within a 1 kilometer radius of SCP-XXXX-1 were rendered useless, suggesting that the anomaly was electromagnetic in nature.

Objects within SCP-XXXX-1 at the time of the anomaly appear to have entered a stasis-like state in which the objects were immovable. Upon Foundation investigation the stasis wore off for all objects within the anomalous area, disregarding SCP-XXXX-A, SCP-XXXX-B, and SCP-XXXX-C.

SCP-XXXX-A, SCP-XXXX-B, and SCP-XXXX-C were formerly male humans aged 14, 12, and 16 respectively. Tissue samples taken from the three anomalies align with missing persons reports of 1990 in █████, Ohio. The anomalies were removed from SCP-XXXX-1 and transferred to Site-06-3. Medical testing performed on them showed signs of scarce brain activity and they appeared to be completely unresponsive and unconscious.

The placement of the three anomalies suggest that they had entered SCP-XXXX-1 on the night of January 5th, 1990. All video arcade cabinets located within SCP-XXXX-1 were found to be unplugged from electrical sockets, save for one "Sinistar" branded cabinet which was surrounded by SCP-XXXX-A, SCP-XXXX-B, and SCP-XXXX-C. It has been concluded by Foundation researchers that the anomalies had attempted to activate the video arcade cabinet on the night of the anomalous event. It is unknown if this is related to the event at this time.
