Item #: SCP-X
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-X is contained at Site-██ in a 1 cubic meter cube with one face having a thick steel mesh, and 3 centimeter thick tungsten on the other 5 faces, the cube kept in a vacuum tight 2m x 2m room lined with more metal and with an airlock. Any testing done on SCP-X may require that air be pumped into the chamber temporarily, otherwise the room should be sealed.
Description: SCP-X is a black hose with a length of roughly 3 meters and a width of 10 centimeters, though the width can change depending on certain conditions. Airflow through the front-end of the hose seems be completely independent of airflow through the back-end. While light can travel through and out the back end, there has been no light observed coming out of the front end.
When the front end of SCP-X comes into contact with an object, the object gets sucked in, there's been observed both a force of airflow and a force of gravity. SCP-X can temporarily grow, width-wise, to accommodate for larger objects. It is currently not known how large the inside of SCP-X is but it's hypothesized to be infinite.
There is evidence that SCP-X is capable of higher thinking, but this has yet to be confirmed. At the very least it can be selective about what it can suck in.
