Item #: SCP-4260

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4260 is to be kept sealed in a small container, and only opened for testing.

Description: SCP-4260 is an old ink printer, originally used in an office building in downtown Seattle, Washington. It came into Foundation hands in 1984, an an operative working nearby discovered its anomalous effects. SCP-4260 acts normally when using standard ink, but has worn due to age. When the ink cartridge instead includes blood of a singular individual, it will print out an image in red, which had been identified as revealing the point in which they die. The image is of a simple seemingly hand drawn quality made completely with red, with no text revealed. Other liquids, such as water, have no effect, and only make the printer perform poorly. When two or more individuals blood make up the ink cartridge, nothing occurs. The amount of blood seems to not matter, as it is still able to create a full picture with any amount.
