Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX there is no way to contain it's anomalous effects, just to attempt to avoid them. There have been ██ failed attempts to set up a dam in the river with all succeeding at first, but after about 12 hours the river increases flow and overtakes the dam, eventually breaking the dam down and weakening to it's original size and flow. The only true way to stop the SCP's affect is to weaken the levels of exposure to SCP-XXXX by the nearby populous, with no way to contain it, the Foundation has blocked off the nearby paths and portages to the river, leaving it under the guise of a radiation spill, leaving easily accessed secondary paths to still walk away from the river, without a danger of civilian investigation. If any hikers or locals come within 5 km of the main research base they are to be escorted back to the main paths, and if anyone sees the base in any detail they are to be given class-A amnestics, and then turned away back towards the main paths.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears as a large flowing river located in a southern end of Algonquin park, Ontario Canada, that goes along for a distance of about 5-7km, although the beginning of the river has not been recorded. The river itself gives off a memetic agent through the simple sound of the water flowing, as when someone hears the noise of the river flowing they cannot stop hearing it for almost one month after exiting exposure, leading to many who have encountered the sound of the river to have extreme mental distress after leaving the field of sound.

Once somebody does look at the river, the more dangerous anomalous effects start to happen, when somebody looks into the river they begin to see their future, depending on how far down the river they're looking. The victims, or instances of SCP-XXXX-1, of SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects cannot look up the river as once they look at some point in their future they can only look away, or look even more forwards, it's because of this that nobody has ever seen the start of the river, and when trying to locate it researchers have only been seen walking back along the side of the river, watching their life go by. When somebody does look into their future, they start to feel the things they see happening to them, although never looking away, always standing there through the pain. There are small points of everyone's lives where they aren't doing something important, and at only those points can the instances of SCP-XXXX-1 look away from the river, the only other way is to follow the river to a small pool at the end, where they will see how they would die, and then the future sight ends. When somebody looks away from SCP-XXXX they will start to age one year every minute, until they've caught up to the last point in time they saw. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 that watch until their death however will also see something after the future ends, although the river stops showing their future it does start to show their reflection, and to the left of them a large man with four black wings, and a deer head. Who or what this creature is in the reflection has not been discovered by the foundation as of yet, but it does seem that this creature, referred to as SCP-XXXX-2, doesn't leave or even exist outside of this reflection, and that it only stands to the left of the instance of SCP-XXXX-1 for until they look away.
