Mr. Amida Sagawa was 16 at the time of his first "outburst", When he truly saw the very essence and being of humanity and existence, an indescribable horror that he wish others he knew would understand. Awkwardly, he broke down during a school trip in public, panicking and taking a fetal position on the floor, hoping to forget everything that involuntarily flashed into his brain. He felt as if he was being injected mentally with concepts he couldn't mentally deal with. Oh, if he knew how wrong he was about that, for he would much later on be formed into a very mentally strong and formidable man, perhaps partially owing to his distant relation to a SAS relative and his pride towards it.
When these "outbursts", what he internally called his existential related panic attacks would start to occur more frequently, he would walk to a local shop which was known to supply alcohol without identification to deal with that existential dread. Despite his first name meaning Buddha, he shared more in common with his Sagawa surname, occasionally going off the hinges and fantasising about cannibalising those who seriously annoyed him, such as his cousin, and his old schoolmate who acted the class bully. He thought he would do anything to rip him open with a saw, when in reality he would be far too fearful of divine consequences of torture and murder, just about the only thing keeping him from trying to kill others. He had never read the bible except for the first parts of Genesis, but one mentality he took and formed from it strongly: "Let god take your revenge". Amida was never relgious but was fascinated with Christianity, despite never having access to any Christian books or materials. All he ever learned about it was well known bible stories like everyone in Asia learned at some point, but he picked up small quotes every now and then that really piqued his interest in the religion. When he learned of Issei Sagawa, the extremely lucky cannibal who dodged prison due to a Japanese law requiring the paperwork of the country in which a crime was committed to actually imprison a person for crimes committed outside of the Land of the Rising Sun, he felt good. He felt good that he shared a name with someone who really committed to such an act. Amida
