Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX has yet to be contained. In the event that the foundation does successfully capture all instances of SCP-XXXX, it has been marked for “termination” via SCP-████. All reports of SCP-XXXX must be reported immediately. Any instances of SCP-XXXX-1 must be terminated on sight.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a computer virus originating from a closed down workshop in Japan. SCP-XXXX actively seeks out information about itself and removes important information pertaining to itself. Because of possible infection, all further documents of SCP-XXXX MUST be kept on paper.

Besides this, SCP-XXXX also has the ability to infect and transform any humans using devices which have been infected by SCP-XXXX into a strain of Homo ignotus (who will now be referred to as SCP-XXXX-1). SCP-XXXX-1 will proceed to infect it’s surrounding area. SCP-XXXX-1 instinctively goes to hardware to infect it.

Most instances of SCP-XXXX have been destroyed by Doctor ████, who discovered that by using SCP-████, the computer will be “immune” in a sense to SCP-XXXX. If left uncontained, SCP-XXXX can and most possibly will cause a XK-Class-End-of-the-world scenario. It is unknown whether SCP-XXXX is sentient, but is speculated as being such.

All attempts to communicate with SCP-XXXX have failed. It is unknown whether SCP-XXXX is ignoring these, or is not capable of thought

SCP-XXXX was discovered by Doctor ████, when an investigation was launched upon finding an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 in the city of ███ in Japan, after one of the researchers assigned to check the computer developed into SCP-XXXX-1.

I’ve determined that you need to use the device to be infected, hence why the team responsible for carrying it here appears to be fine. As this virus seems to be undetectable before it is is used, I’d suggest that all electronic equipment be “treated” by SCP-████. This type of anomaly - a type of virus that is both biological non-biological - has never been seen before and we are ill equipped to fight something like this - Doctor ████
