ITEM #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: The entity is to be kept in a lead lined cell composed of steel reinforced concrete on the basis that SCP-XXXX can become highly irrational and, in multiple recorded cases, violent. If the specimen does become erratic or violent, it is to be immediately incapacitated via a high frequency radio burst and the specimen to be kept heavily sedated until its brain activity falls back within acceptable parameters. Any corrosion or structural damage to the chamber is to be reported for immediate repairs; personnel who fail to do so are subject to termination.
The organism is also to be given a diet rich in sucrose (C12H22O11), namely Salted Caramel, regularly; to maintain basic functionality due to its inexplicably high metabolism and ability to rapidly dissipate psychic energy to its surroundings. If not kept well noursihed, its brain activity begins to spike and nearby personnel may experience mild severe migraines. Any personnel who've been in contact with SCP-XXXX that exhibit signs of vertigo, pupil dilation/contraction or nausea should undergo immediate detention in an isolation chamber and screened for psychological anomalies. If the subject is found to be under the influence of SCP-XXXX, the isolation chamber is to be immediately flooded with a thermobaric agent to terminate the subject and cleanse the area of psychic residuum.
No personnel below level III (3) are permitted within fifty meters (50m) of the entity without written permission of at least one (1) level V (5) administrator/s and an escort of at least two (2) level III (3) security personnel. Any personnel found to be in conflict with this order are to be subjected to immediate termination.
Description: Initially thought to be a human male, SCP-XXXX is a bipedal creature, roughly three meters (3m) in height with an arm span of 2.67 meters (2.67m). It has a series of talons on each arm, roughly twenty centimetres (20cm) in length which have been recorded as being used to bisect CLASS-D personnel on seven (7) separate incidents. The entity also appears to be quasi-sentient; acting under the alias of '█████████’ before being detained in the English town of [-████████-].
The specimen is usually harmless when left alone, but upon testing with multiple CLASS-D subjects, it is evident that it becomes hostile when in close proximity to other sentient life forms; often with intense ferocity. Further analysis of its behavior indicates, in some cases, that SCP-XXXX latches itself, mentally, to what it deems “intellectually inferior beings” bombarding them with roughly 70,000 data packets per second (105MB/s) overflowing the subjects’ brain, rendering them insane or brain-dead.
Addendum: MTF ███-6 were dispatched by 05-██ to assist missing agents dispatched to [-████████-] as part of an investigation into police reports of “an extremely feral looking man…butchering local livestock” in 2001. Questioning of locals proved to be ineffective as many who had been in direct contact with SCP-XXXX were deceased/incapacitated with others contributing contradictory information on its appearance, location and mannerisms; hypothesized to be a result of SCP-XXXX's psychoactive abnormalities. Eventually, MTF ███-6 were able to triangulate the location of the specimen and pacify it with the use of a quick burst from a high frequency radio. The bodies of the deceased agents were retrieved at a later date (██/██/2002) and all residents within a five thousand meter (5000m) radius of SCP-XXXX were amnesticized and all evidence incinerated at REMOTE SITE-█████-9.
Staff Interview
Interviewed: [Doctor J Hall, Security Clearance Level III (3)]
Interviewer: [█████████]
Foreword: [an interview with a senior research staff member on the behaviors of SCP-XXXX]
<Begin Log, 23/04/2002>
████████: [so, Doctor Hall, what information have you gathered on the entity’s behavior and psychoactive anomalies?]
Doctor Hall: [from the research conducted by my team, Mr.████████, I can conclude that SCP-XXXX has a diet based almost entirely of Sucrose; in fact, it acts like a mild form of anesthesia or sedative for the entity. We've discovered that Salted Caramel seems to be the most potent if administered daily]
████████: [I see, Doctor, and what of its anomalies?]
Doctor Hall: [SCP-XXXX has a series of talons on each hand, five (5) talons on each. The talons are roughly twenty centimeters in length and are highly sharp; more so than a serrated blade. So far, I've lost four (4) CLASS-D personnel to it. Each fatality perfectly bisected at the mid-waist]
████████: [interesting… and what of it's psychological abilities?]
Doctor Hall: [well, as for it's psychological abilities, it appears to overload the brain of other life forms that it classifies as intellectually weaker; rendering them brain-dead. However, these psychological anomalies only seem to occur when its is under stressful conditions or experiencing a Sucrose deficit.]
████████: [and what then, Doctor? How do we contain the entity when it incapacitates all those near it?]
Doctor Hall: [containment procedure in the case of a possible breach is as so; a micro-burst of high frequency radio waves are to be shot at the entity; rendering it incapacitated. It should then remain sedated via this method until its brain activity returns to acceptable parameters. SCP-XXXX should be kept in a lead-lined concrete chamber with steel reinforcement. A perimeter of fifty meters should be maintained by non-essential personnel on a twenty-four hour basis. Access should only be granted to personnel with Security Clearance Level III and above unless otherwise specified. For security reasons, I recommend any personnel who have been under SCP-XXXX's influence be immediately selected for termination as we don't yet know the extent of its psychoactive power]
████████: [very well, Doctor. That's all I needed to know]
<End Log, 23/04/2002>
Closing Statement: shortly after the conduction of the interview many of the personnel monitoring SCP-XXXX were found to be contaminated by its psychological residuum and were terminated with a thermobaric agent. It was discovered that the subject had created a small incision through the Chamber in order to taint the staff. The subject's classification was moved from Safe to Euclid. Doctor J Hall was allowed to continue research on the entity with with a new team of personnel. The concrete chamber were thickened and regular inspections of the cell were introduced.
