Special Containment Procedures:
[REVISED] After Dr.██████ Was observed developing intense obssession with SCP-XXXX, followed by rapid aging and eventual absorbtion by the entity, containment procedures and use protocal has been revised. See bellow.
SCP-XXX is to be store within a steel reinforced cabinet no less than 3 inches thick and secured to a concrete base plate weighing approximately 1 tonne.
This cabinet is only accesible by Level 4+ personnel unless given specific authorization by atleast 2 level 4 staff or higher due to the nature of SCP-XXXX.
Staff that require use of SCP-XXXX must submit request form 35-E atleast 24 hours prior to use and be accompanied by atleast 2 security personel at all times during its use. SCP-XXXX is not permitted to be removed from facility —-
at any time unless given authorization by a member of the 05 council.
If the user displays any signs of developing a dependence on SCP-XXXX security have been instructed to remove SCP-XXXX and return it to its storage locker immediately. Also detaining the user for immediate amnestic treatment.
When SCP-XXXX reaches a predetermined level of wear and tear a D class subject no older that 30 years of age will be instructed to utilize the tool until such a time where its life cycle is reset and it is deemed reasonably safe for
use by foundation staff.
Description:
SCP-XXXX resembles a worn handle covered in ornate markings that can form into any tool required by the user when direct skin contact is made. Repeated use of SCP-XXXX seems to form a psychological bond the user which allows the formation of
higher complexity tools over time.
Prolonged exposure to SCP-XXXX is known to cause the subject to develop an obsession with the entity, eventually driving the subject to attempt to gain use SCP-XXXX through any possible means. Observation of D class personel that have developed an obesession with SCP-XXXX
have shown that subjects are willing to harm or even terminate themselves in attempts to retrieve SCP-XXXX
When a subject develops a complete obesession with SCP-XXXX it will begin to fuse to the subjects hand. Oddly this process has not caused any distress to any observed subjects, more often than not into a heavily relaxed or catatonic state.
Any attempt to remove SCP-XXXX from a subject whilst in this state causes incredible spikes in violence and aggresion. Attempted removal of SCP-XXXX during this phase has been deemed not viable unless given permission by level 4 lead research staff .
After approximately 24 hours from the begining of this enfusion process the subject begins to age rapidly , approximately 5 years for each hour. ng any signs of damage or use.
When a subject reaches what is estimated to be approximately 80 years old the subject appears to briefly regain mental clarity, subsequently followed by massive panic and incredible pain as they begin to be express immense pain clutch the handle to their chest.
The subject then appears to decompose rapidly whilst maintaining some form of conciousness. This process has been observed to take approximately 5 to 10 minutes, dependented on the body mass of the subject.
When this process terminates all that is left is the skeletal remains of the subject and SCP-XXXX. It is noted that SCP-XXXX appears to be brand new after this process, suffering from no wear or aparent use.
It has been discovered that after this process occours the tool begins to age independently of its actual use. This process has been found to last for the difference between the initial age of the last subject absorbed by SCP-XXXX and the final age
that the subject reached prior to absorbtion into SCP-XXXX (estimated to be 80 years old).
Addendum - XXXX - 1:
SCP-XXXX was discovered in ████████, Czech Republic on ██/██/████ by construction workers during the restoration of a cold war era soviet research post. A foudation agent became aware of SCP-XXXX when talk of "the perfect tool" started circling on social media.
A MTF team as designated for the immediate retreival of SCP-XXXX for study and all instances of communication regarding SCP-XXXX were modified and embedded to contain a message that created an amnestic effect regarding SCP-XXXX after it has been read.
Enquiries to Russian government officials familiar with the era show no knowledge of the site.
Given previous cooperation with officials in this area the site itself has been labeled anomylous and marked for further exploration by a foundation team.
Addendum - XXXX - 2: Experimental Logs
Experiment - XXXX - 01 - 'Initial Testing'
Method: SCP-XXXX was place on a table in secure containment cell along side various experimental aids such as a selection of bolts, metal plates, nails and a 2x4 plank of pine. D-7923 was instructed to enter the chamber and wield SCP-XXXX.
The subject was then instructed to think about a tool that would aid them in hammer a nail into the 2x4 plank. Immediately SCP-XXXX formed a robust hammer. D-7923 was then instructed to hammer a nail into the 2x4, doing so with ease. When D-7923 placed SCP-XXXX
down onto the table it immediately reverted to its original form.
This test was repeated with various activities such as tightening bolts, stripping wire and even trimming finger nails.
This experiment was repeated with multiple D class subjects over a period of 2 months and apart from a desire to continue to use the tool no physical or psychological effects were observed.
This desire was determined to simply be due to the unique nature of SCP-XXXX as it seemed to disipate rather quickly in all subjects. SCP-XXXX has been classified as SAFE and will be cleared for use by foundation staff at site-XXX

Experiment - XXXX - 01 - 'Re-Evaluation and Continued Testing'

After initial testing of SCP-XXXX over a 2 month period it was classified as safe and all staff of level 3 and above were given access to its use on site (given requisition form 32-B was complete and signed off by a level 4 member of staff).
Initial implimentation of SCP-XXXX proved incredibly effective, lowering equipment costs at site-XXX and drastically increasing productivity throughout the site.
On ██/██/████ Dr.██████ was observed to become incredibly protective of SCP-XXXX, refusing to return it to its containment locker after the 48 hour alloted time period. When site security attempted to remove the tool from Dr.██████
it was found to be biologically welded to his palm and that Dr.██████ appeared to have aged approximately 20 years. Dr.██████ was placed in a secure containment room for observation.
Approximately 4 hours into observation Dr.██████ walked to the far corner of the secure containment room and sat down facing away from the observation screen. Cameras show that Dr.██████ entered a seemingly catatonic state,
not responding to any questions or environmental stimulus. Throughout this initial observation it was also noted that Dr.██████ aged by another 20 years, reaching the approximate appearance of a 70 year old male.
2 hours after Dr.██████ entered his catatonic state he regained complete conciousness. Standing up and looking around as if unaware of why he was under observation. Dr.██████ was then seen to look down at SCP-XXXX and became increasingly alarmed.
After 30 seconds of panic Dr.██████ began thrashing SCP-XXXX around violently, assumably attempting to remove it. This was followed by the Dr.██████ falling to the ground and convulsing violently, finally falling still in the fetal position whilst clutching SCP-XXXX to his chest.
Security was sent in to the containment cell to identify Dr.██████'s condition. Before contact could be made rapid decomposition was observed. Within 30 seconds all biomass apart from bone had seemingly been absorbed by SCP-XXXX which now appeared to be in pristine condition.
It has been concluded that SCP-XXXX forms some kind of connection with its weilder over time. When this reaches a certain point the weilder is terminated via rapid aging and absorbed into the tool through the process described above.
More research is required to identify the regularity of this process and if it can be avoided in any way. Access to SCP-XXXX has been temporarily removed from all foundation staff for all purposes other than further research and reclassified as euclid until
its exact nature is determined.
