Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held in a vertical position, perpendicular to the floor. Clamps consisting of steel-iron-nickel alloy are to be attached to a carbon steel pillar and used to secure SCP-XXXX in this position. SCP-XXXX is to have its dorsal half faced away from the entrance to its containment cell. This pillar is to be placed within a cuboid of one-way glass measuring 3 x 3 x 6 metres, in the centre of its containment cell. Daily checks for cracks in the glass are mandatory. The entity appears to possess no desire for recreation, so no amenities are to be provided.

No less than 2 armed guards are to be stationed within SCP-XXXX's cell on a constant rotating shift of 30 minutes No personnel are to be admitted into SCP-XXXX's cell for a period of more than 10 7 2 minutes. After 2 minutes, 97% of tested individuals appear to be lured into the view of SCP-XXXX, and 56% appear to feel the urge to try and free the entity. Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be of the same physical appearance as an Oenpelli python (simalia oenpelliensis). However, SCP-XXXX is believed to possess completely matte black eyes, with no obviously discernible structures such as an iris or pupil of any kind. X-rays of the entity yield abnormal results, with the subject appearing to have no internal skeletal structure, despite possessing the apparent ability to move identically to any vertebrates of the suborder Serpentes. Typical of any Oenpelli python, SCP-XXXX appears to have olive-green dorsal scales and a chestnut brown underbelly. Unusually, SCP-XXXX features no observable hardened calcified structures within its mouth that resemble teeth of any known species. SCP-XXXX measures exactly 5.216m in length, 0.81m in girth and 227kg in mass. All documentation of the entity's phenotype are to be regarded with caution, as all authors of the concerned documentation have unfortunately been [DATA EXPUNGED] after inadvisable lengths of exposure to SCP-XXXX.

Individuals that have experienced SCP-XXXX's gaze have reported hallucinations of typical hellish imagery; instances of lava bubbling from the earth, fires starting spontaneously on inflammable surfaces and large structures of brimstone inhabiting spaces previously occupied by naturally occurring land-forms. Those who have experienced SCP-XXXX's gaze without meeting the psychological prerequisites required to attract the entity report urges of immense lust and violence. The entity appears to turn away from such an individual after 5-15 minutes. Individuals within the entity's view are incapable of muscle coordination. Those forcefully removed from SCP-XXXX's vision begin to scream constantly until they deprive their own body of oxygen, whilst attempting to destroy surrounding inanimate objects and harm surrounding living organisms. Those resuscitated after this experience report extreme feelings of attachment to the entity, and express immense anger at their removal from its gaze. However, similar to documentation on physical observations of SCP-XXXX, reports on the cognitive effects of SCP-XXXX are designated as extremely unreliable, as all individuals who have experienced them are not to be trusted until further research into the main anomalous property of SCP-XXXX has been carried out.

Observations: When approached by an adult scoring an IQ of at least 124 on the Weschler Adult Intelligent Scale and scoring at least .37** on the Levenson Self-Report Psychopathy scale, the entity will apparently instinctively try and turn to look at the individual. The following observations are recorded from tests involving Class-D personnel of this psychological composition:

• Upon entering the direct view of SCP-XXXX, the test individual will appear to enter a trance. The individual will relax their posture into a hunched stance and begin to move towards the entity. The eyes of the individual will not shut for the duration of this movement.
• Upon entering a distance of 1m from SCP-XXXX, the individual will immediately collapse, and appears to immediately enter REM sleep. The entity will then fixate upon the individual.
• Once fixated upon the individual, SCP-XXXX will begin to speak. No vibrations of the entity's trachea have been observed, so there is no current anatomical explanation for this ability. No descriptions of the entity's voice have been recorded, as all tested individuals were immediately [REDACTED] after their experience with SCP-XXXX and the subject's voice is apparently impossible to record using current microphone equipment available to the Foundation.
• After a period of no less than 11 hours, the individual (from now on referred to as SCP-XXXX-1) will violently wake from their sleep, and begin immediately attempting to destroy the closest inanimate object. SCP-XXXX-1 has even been observed to attempt to dig through the walls of SCP-XXXX's containment cell and rip out their teeth, hair and nails in an observed blind rage.
• Once another individual has been introduced to the containment cell, SCP-XXXX-1 will immediately begin assaulting the individual, focusing their assault upon the eyes and face of the individual. Once the individual has been killed, SCP-XXXX-1 appears to place the individual's eyes into the eyes of SCP-XXXX, which then absorbs the individuals eyes into its own.
• After this ritualistic behaviour, SCP-XXXX will proceed to coil around and [REDACTED] SCP-XXXX-1, who will offer no resistance. However, █ instances have been recorded in which SCP-XXXX will voluntarily return to its containment pillar, and allow the individual to apparently exit its trance. Immediate questioning of the individual reveal that they were merely following the instructions of SCP-XXXX. However, as soon as the individual references SCP-XXXX, they will re-enter their previous blind rage, and attempt to assault their interviewer. All █ of these individuals have been [REDACTED] immediately after their return to this state, with █ casualties being recorded as a result of the individuals' behaviour.

Based on these observations of SCP-XXXX's behaviour, Dr. █████ ████████ has hypothesised the entity possesses the main anomalous ability to exert an irresistible psionic influence over any individual of the required psychological composition. No educated assumptions can be made concerning the reasons or motives for SCP-XXXX's behaviour or targets at current.

Any attempts to physically damage the entity have been unsuccessful, with no structural damage observed. Any attempts to reason with the entity or instigate conversation with the entity have been unsuccessful. The entity has no recorded instances of cooperation with Foundation personnel.

Initial Containment: SCP-XXXX was first located within the [REDACTED] restricted range at GRIDREF ████-████ within the sandstone outcrops of western Arnhem Land, Australia. Mobile Task Force Tau-5 ("Samsara") was first dispatched to the region after Foundation elements embedded within local authorities heard rumours of an abnormally large snake possessing "mind-control" techniques. Any instances of SCP-XXXX-1 before initial containment of SCP-XXXX are unknown to the Foundation are currently being contained as Euclid-class sub-anomalies in Site-██ until unabridged research into these sub-anomalies has been completed to the satisfaction of local Senior Research Supervisor Dr. ███████ ████████████. The entity was found, purely through chance, facing away by MTF Commander ███ ██████ in a small sandstone cave. SCP-XXXX was then [REDACTED] and taken to Site-██ on 30 June ████.

While this theory has been quickly dismissed by the majority of research personnel employed by the Foundation, it is the only semblance of explanation for SCP-XXXX's controlling psionic capabilities.

Closing Statement: After Regina Charles' reference to SCP-XXXX, she entered a blind rage identical to those observed to be performed by SCP-XXXX-1. This is the first instance of Miss Charles entering a blind rage upon reference to SCP-XXXX, despite referencing the entity multiple times before. This response suggests the rage is triggered by proximity to SCP-XXXX. Senior Research Supervisor Dr. ███████ ████████████ suffered mild injury, the most severe being a concussion once Miss Charles blindly headbutted them. Senior Research Supervisor Dr. ███████ ████████████ would have experienced further injury if Facility Guards had not been present within the interview room. Miss Charles has since been successfully administered a Class-F amnestic and returned to Australian law enforcement.

9 January ████: An instance of unauthorised access to this document has been located within security audit logs. An insecure terminal in [REDACTED] was used for this violation. Junior Researcher ████ ██████ was the username of the violator logged by Foundation cyber security protocols. Junior Researcher ████ ██████ will be punished accordingly.

10 January ████: Junior Researcher ████ ██████ was found dead in his lodgings. Blood and body tissue found on the wooden floor of his kitchen suggest a suicide involving continuous smashing of his head against the floor as no evidence of an intrusion has been found. Forensic analysts working alongside SCP-XXXX research personnel believe Researcher ████ ██████ was the instance of sub-anomaly SCP-XXXX-2, and had unknowingly leaked Foundation records on SCP-XXXX to The Serpent's Hand GoI, before proceeding to take their own life.
