Special containment procedures: a large offshore site has been set up as an extension of site-25 around the entity known as SCP-XXXX. the containment building is a large hexagonal-shaped research site/ mobile operations/ anomaly containment, with the structure known as SCP-XXXX-A being in the center. An on-site security monitoring system has been set up on the research platform and on SCP-XXXX-A.
SCP-XXXX-B is to be kept in a level 4/XXXX locked safe, any personnel without clearance attempting to access the safe will apprehended, and formally punished.
Researcher access to SCP-XXXX-A is only permitted when approved by the site director, and are to be always accompanied by at least 2 members of site security.
When encountering SCP-XXXX-C personnel are not to engage or communicate with the entity unless instructed.
personnel working on-site are to be mentally assessed weekly, if personnel are unfit to continue their research they are to be replaced and taken back to the mainland.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a body of water-like substance in the northern pacific ocean, the affected area of water seemingly doesn't have any waves or water current of any sort. many samples of SCP-XXXX have been collected from inside the containment zone, all results so far have come back as negative to any foreign bodies present in the water, research is still underway to determine the difference. SCP-XXXX is believed to be sentient, or at least appears to be sentient, and has a strong mental effect when prolonged exposure to it, many personnel have been affected by this.

SCP-XXXX-A is an oil rig at the center of the containment zone, the platform is unregistered to any existing company, and no such building plans or permits are in existence, it is unknown where, or how this oil platform came to be.¹
Expeditions onto SCP-XXXX-A have determined the platform is long abandoned, with all sources of rations depleted, and the entire lower deck is gone, it is assumed by natural causes, but with the lack of current or visible waves, the reason for the destruction is still undetermined.

Scp-XXXX-B is an incomplete collection of log entries found onboard SCP-XXXX-A in what once was the crew's sleeping quarters. thought to be that of one of if not the last survivor of the platform, with the individual being considered terminated themself, presumably drowned. The notes make mention of there being at least 28 logs, over the course of 30 days, but only 10 have been successfully discovered and retrieved.²

the exact reason for the termination of the individual is still undetermined, either insanity or a third party. The aforementioned third party in this instance is most likely SCP-XXXX-C, yet there are no signs that SCP-XXXX-C is hostile in nature,

SCP-XXXX-C are humanoid beings made of the same substance as SCP-XXXX, further research is required to determine whether SCP-XXXX-C is just a humanoid form of SCP-XXXX, or if they're their own entity entirely.³
Instances of SCP-XXXX-C have been seen with the ability to navigate SCP-XXXX-A without any difficulty, personnel have also reported seeing them on the research platform surrounding the containment site, the containment of instances of SCP-XXXX-C is near impossible, as when all leading paths are blocked off for SCP-XXXX-C, it just dissolves and finds its way back to SCP-XXXX.
When approved, attempts to communicate with instances of SCP-XXXX have all been inconclusive, but personnel report that the beings almost seem like they're waiting for something, but tests on these beings are very rare, as personnel have also reported that just like SCP-XXXX, the closer you get to SCP-XXXX-C the more mentally straining it gets, with it feeling as if their minds are physically being pulled into the surrounding sea.

Additional notes: SCP-XXXX was first discovered by the foundation on 15/11/20██ when a category five storm subsided in the northern pacific ocean, where an unregistered abandoned oil rig was detected by the foundation, with MTF-Theta-7 ("Weed Whackers") sent in to investigate only a day later, the mission was successful in the recovery of SCP-XXXX-B and the discovery of over 10 instances of SCP-XXXX-C. Dr. To██ ███, the head of site-25 requested a detachment of his Dallas Texas site be used to contain the anomaly, with his request being granted by higher-ups in the foundation.

SCP-XXXX-B Archived Journal Entries:

Daily journal entry 1: I don't know what happened, or where I am, for god sake, I don't even know my own name, but I thought writing a daily journal may keep me sane, for the time being at least. I've only been here for.. Well what I hope is two days, that's when I woke up at least. I'm on some sort of oil rig, or something like it, it looks old, and long abandoned, but I never feel alone, it's like…. It's like the water is watching me, but that may just be my way of coping, i don't know.

Daily journal entry 2: the platform seems to have been abandoned for months, or even years. There isn't much food left, maybe only enough for a month maybe? I don't know, I decided to set up camp in there, probably my best chance of survival. Another thing, I haven't seen any fish, or well, anything in the water the entire time, there's no waves, no water current or anything, it's just… still. I'm sure that I'm not alone out here.

Daily journal entry 4: I thought that was it, I honestly thought I was dead when I saw that wave, a wave the size of a fucking building. there was nothing before this, so current, not even a ripple in the water, I was luckily able to climb to a higher deck before it came, but it was… I don't know, I felt like I knew it was gonna happen, like someone told me, maybe, maybe it was the water? god, what's happening to me, I really do need some sleep.

Daily journal entry 5: I finally saw something today, a man or well a clear, water looking thing in the shape of a man, he was sitting on a piece of driftwood but too far out to see properly. I wasn't frightened though or even on edge, he waved at me, and I waved back, I almost felt… Safe in a weird messed up sort of way. But besides that nothing else really happened, foods running low, I'm not sure how long it'll last. But these daily logs are the only thing keeping me sane.

Daily journal entry 8: the water people come aboard sometimes, I see them walking around, they don't bother me though, and they feel like… my friends. The last of the rations will only last another day, but the water tells me it will help.. I still don't know what to think about all this, this must be insanity but I still feel as though I can trust them, maybe they do wanna help?

Daily journal entry 12: the sea water wasn't as bad as I feared, but well it worked, it even tasted.. good in a way, it quenched my thirst, and even my hunger, I don't know how that works but it did, I still cant believe that the water told me this. One of the water people came to me and walked with me throughout the day, he seemed… friendly, and I felt I could trust him and the water even more than I first thought. the pull to the water grows each day, but it doesn't scare me, I just feel as though I know what they want, they want me to swim with them, to find the sea floor, but… but I just need sleep.

Daily journal entry 17: I find myself swimming just off of the platform more than before, the pull on my mind is so strong when I swim, but its comforting in a way. Sometimes I think that it might be safer down there, safer with them. The water people go back to the ocean at night, i feel so cold when they leave, maybe… maybe I should follow them?

Daily journal entry 18: more water people came today, almost twice as many I think, they seem.. more human, and I can sometimes even see them smile when they see me. The water has begun to move, waves forming, and I sometimes see what I can only assume is an entrance, an entrance to peace, where the water people come from.

Daily journal entry 22: I'm swimming deeper, deeper into peace, but I always float back to the surface, maybe they don't want me? I just don't know. but the water people speak to me now, almost trying to convince me to join them, and follow them after dark, they tell me only to follow when I choose, when I can experience peace.

Daily journal entry 28: I have seen it, I have found my peace, the water, it embraces me, the water people, my friends. I finally followed the water people, and they were my guide in peace and they helped me. They pulled me deeper, deeper into the water, and when I woke up… I saw it, they showed me. if my messages find anyone, please, please join us, join within the water. It will save you, and bring you peace.
