To whom it may concern,
It has been a long standing practice within the Foundation as a whole to refer to those within by their given role, rarely deviating to explicitly label an individual unless appropriate and/or required in the context of an database entry. This would normally not call for a change in policy if not for the unadorned distinction of rank and billet within the Site Staff and Field Personnel groups deemed with guarding, tracking, and apprehending SCP. In light of this I propose an amendment to make future entries that much more clear and concise when referencing the actions taken by our Operatives in our outside the Foundation walls.
The first addition to the classification system is the introduction of an official rank, given appropriately to both Site staff and Field Personnel based on three things; their seniority, clearance level, and official billet. To give an example: a Security Officer holding a Level 3 clearance would simply be referred to as “SO-3” unless their name was essential to the entry and would not breach OPSEC. If they are given higher clearance but no change in billet, simply adjust the clearance within future entries. In the instance that the individual in question is shifted to a different billet, such as Tactical Response Officer, the title would change and be abbreviated to “TRO” or “TRO-3.”
When concerning any member of the Mobile Task Force, or “MTF” for short, the title would be shifted to that of Warrant Officer. In the militaries that exist outside of the Foundation, a Warrant Officer is held as a specialist within their occupation, often writing and promoting new information to be established as legitimate knowledge and teaching material on new or undisputed subjects. Members of the MTF are the veterans of the Foundation, having seen many deployments in handling Euclid and Keter threats, as such they have rightfully earned the title Warrant Officer. An example would be “W-O” or “WO-4.”
When concerning Security Directors, MTF Commanders, or personnel deemed fit to posses a Level 5 clearance, they are to be referred to as Chief Warrant Officers. They stand as the elite authority within their fields with many years of knowledge and experience in their service to the Foundation. Their thoughts and opinions would be held under immense consideration concerning how a facility is constructed, ran, and maintained. In the event of a containment breach, and after being evacuated to a safer location, it would be these individuals that dictate how the recovery missions would be conducted. They would only report to the 0-5 Council. Their existence would be heavily shrouded and kept a secret to prevent the possibility of damaging OPSEC. An example would be “CWO” or “CWO-5.”
