SCP 4929: Attempt 1
rating: 0+x

Object #: SCP-4929

Object Class: Keter-Thaumiel

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4929 can be placed in nearly any form of containment, if it is with █████ █████████ (hereafter referred to as Nico) and said containment is at least 7’ 4” tall (height varies from time to time) and able to fit an adult and child standing side-by-side. The boy will need to be provided with sustenance as he is a non-anomalous human. The containment unit must also be fitted with psychic disruptors to render SCP-4929 useless in the event that SCP-4929 becomes aggravated towards the foundation.

If any tantrums occour, attempt to calm him, as this may aggravate SCP-4929. In a worst case scenario where SCP-4929 begins demanding that the child be given what he wants, sedations are permitted to calm the child and the failsafe to block psycic abilites is to be activated, rendering SCP-4929’s abilities non-existent.

Description: SCP-4929 (also known as “Penny”) is a plastic ██████████████ brand ballpoint pen approximately 14cm in length manufactured in Japan, possessed by a low-level psychic anomaly. The pen is filled with a black viscous liquid that when removed from the pen immediately begin to move back into the pen, suggesting that not the pen, but the ink itself, is possessed.

SCP-4929’s psychic abilities allow it to manipulate other ballpoint pens to create a humanoid body approximately 7’3” in height. SCP-4929’s eyes are two pens with their caps oriented forwards and see through anomalous means. Its fingers are made of two pens of similar length each, with the thumb being made of one pen with the cap off, but the tip of the pen facing towards the wrist.

Nico is a Caucasian child estimated to be 14 years of age. His mental state is similar to that of a 7-year-old, and he has a crippled leg caused by an unconfirmed injury. He shows incapability to understand any of the languages SCP-4929 can excluding Galactic Basic. He has a fixation on Star Wars and often asks for screenings of the movies. He appears to have a large amount of control over SCP-4929, who often gives him advice to make his decisions sounder and to make his language more refined in a similar way a mother would teach their children manners.

Addendum: SCP-4929 has shown total comprehension of the English language, as well as Sanskrit, Portuguese, Spanish, Binary, and Galactic Basic (Presumed to be due to Nico’s obsession with Star Wars), and can easily switch between these languages during conversation. SCP-4929 communicates by writing on paper with its fingers and refers to itself as a female. Nico also refers to SCP-4929 as a female.

SCP-4929 is very reluctant to give information about it’s past. The only times it has given any info was at the promise of access to observe certain SCPs until satisfied.

SCP-4929 also shows unusual aggressiveness towards other SCPs for reasons yet to be proven. Whenever in the presence of another SCP, SCP-4929 “spikes-up” as SCP-4929 refers to it. This behavior has prevented multiple SCP breaches. While walking through the halls, SCP-4929 “spiked-up” near an employee who turned out to be the shapeshifting SCP-2006.

SCP-4929 has incredible combat capabilities and is often used in the event of an outbreak that could reveal the foundation or cause a worse event. SCP-4929 has two states during which it’s behavioral pattern changes erratically.

During a passive state, the pens that make up SCP-4929 are capped and in orientation that creates a smooth surface. SCP-4929 is calm and sociable during this state, often interacting with staff members that Nico has become friends with.

During an aggressive state, SCP-4929 ‘spikes-up’, all of the caps on the pens that make up SCP-4929 uncap and face outwards for defense. All the caps move to the center to protect the core pen that contains SCP-4929’s conscience. When in combat, the “fingers” of SCP-4929 uncap and are used in a slashing manner in order to cause massive lacerations. SCP-4929 is capable of launching the pens at specific targets with near-perfect precision. The speed at which these pens are fired is over 200 mph, enough to penetrate through solid steel, without somehow breaking the pens which are assumed to be kept together by anomalous means.

The ink within the pens have varying effects based on their color spectrum. Any ink below 500 in the spectrum has sedative effects which increase with effectiveness the lower the spectrum, with a light blue causing mild disorientation and navy blue being enough to cause a human to sleep for up to 4 days straight. This sedative ink is not to be used as painkillers under and circumstances. Conduct of this action will result in immediate rejection from the foundation.

Any ink higher than 500 in the color spectrum is volatile poison that corrupts the blood or a living creature and the atomic makeup of and inanimate object. A green color is enough to cause sickness for a few days while red is enough to immediately liquidate nearly any substance.

During several breaches, SCP-4929 has proven itself effective in sedating and capturing SCP-352 as well as terminating and/or capturing instances of SCP-008, SCP-939, SCP-1749-2, and SCP-3928. Note that SCP-4929 is only used during breaches or in the field when a dangerous SCP needs to be re-captured immediately.

SCP-4929 is always in the presence of Nico except during situation where he would be safer elsewhere, protecting him at all costs. The lengths it will go to are extreme, even for an SCP. An example of this behavior was during the first attempt to contain it. The containment was a 1’ thick steel cylinder, barely large enough to contain SCP-4929 while standing. As soon as the cylinder was locked, distinctive clicking noises were heard from within, followed by a loud bang and a visible dent in the cylinder wall. The wall of the cylinder melted soon after that and SCP-4929 emerged from the cavity, shooting pens in rapid succession killing the 6 employees in the room. Immediately after this SCP-4929 rushed over to Nico and began melting the wall of the room and escaped. 8 hours later the SCP and Nico were found and calmed down enough to come back to the facility.

SCP-4929 was found in ██████, England on 1/23/████ inside a warehouse near the city limits. SCP-4929 was protecting a boy approximately 5’2” tall named █████ █████████(Nico), who has not been traced to any missing or deceased people as of yet. There were serval corpses on the floor with pens sticking out of them. None of the bodies were identifiable due the many lacerations and total blood corruption by SCP-4929’s volatile ink. Immediately after entrance SCP-4929 began shooting pens at the squad sent in to investigate, resulting in the deaths of three agents in less than a second, and the deaths of five more of the total twenty sent before intentions not to hurt SCP-4929 or Nico were made clear, after which SCP-4929 stopped firing, but did not ‘spike-down’.
After a communication session lasting 1 hour 37 minutes, SCP-4929 agreed to come to Site-███ at the offer of protection for Nico and the presence of other SCPs.

Interviews: SCP-4929, Nico.

- INTERVIEW 01
Interviewed: SCP-4929

Interviewer: Dr. Kelhan, Level 4 Psychic Anomalies Researcher

(Dr. Kelhan enters a room with concrete walls and a white table with a chair on either side. He sits in the chair closest to the door.)

(SCP-4929 is seated in a chair on the far side of the table, looking through a one-way mirror where Nico is seen playing with a model of the Millennium Falcon.)

Begin Log: 7:13 pm

Dr. Kelhan: Good evening 4929.

(SCP-4929 begins writing on a sheet of paper on the table.)

SCP-4929: Good evening Kehlan.

Dr. Kelhan: Would you mind if I asked you a few questions?

SCP-4929: If I get to see the new SCP you guys brought in.

Dr. Kehlan: Yes, yes, you will get to see it. How did you meet Nico?

(SCP-4929 writes nothing.)

Dr. Kehlan: 4929?

SCP-4929: Sorry, no one has ever asked me that before.

Dr. Kehlan: That’s fine 4929, just gather your thoughts and tell me when you’re ready.

(17 minutes pass before SCP-4929 begins writing again.)

SCP-4929: I don’t exactly remember it that well, I was wandering through a forest and I heard screams. I followed them and saw a child laying on the ground, clutching their leg. There was a strange creature standing over him, a black man, it looked as if he was cloaked in shadows, and there was a putrid smell. It started reaching for the boy and grabbed his leg, and after that it’s all a blur. I remember spiking-up and running at the thing. It sank into the ground once it saw me coming. Then I heard a sound behind me and looked around as it leaped at me. I rolled to the side, and I slashed at it and slashed at it. It fell flat on the ground and sank into it. After that I started taking care of the little boy, and from then on, I vowed that I would find and kill whoever, or whatever, crippled the child… We wandered the world, just the two of us until The Foundation found us.

Dr. Kehlan: Is that why you want to study the other SCPs? You think it might be one of them?

SCP-4929: Yes. As far as I know humans can’t phase through the ground or corrode flesh with a simple touch.

Dr. Kehlan: That is correct.

End Log: 7:36 pm.

(SCP-4929’s source of aggression towards the other SCPs is now known, as well as how Nico and SCP-4929 met. The SCP described attacking Nico is likely to be SCP-106. SCP-4929 is now to be kept away from Site-██, where SCP-106 is contained, as it would likely end up in the destruction of one of the two SCPs and of Site-██. Furthermore, SCP-4929 is no longer permitted access to any SCPs of Euclid classification or higher due to the possibility of mistaking any SCPs for SCP-106.)

- INTERVIEW 02
Interviewed: █████ █████████ (Nico)

Interviewer: Dr. Kehlan: Head of psychic anomalies department.

(Dr. Kehlan walks into a small apartment-like room. There is a red rug with golden-inlayed patterns. There is a couch against the back wall. The walls are concrete and there are two lamps present, each in a far corner of the room.)

(A child can be seen on the floor playing with models of various Star Wars ships. The child looks up when Dr. Kehlan walks in.)

Begin Log: 12:47 pm.

Dr. Kehlan: Good afternoon Nico, how are you doing?

Nico: Hi Mister Kehlan! Do you want to play with my new spaceship?

(Nico picks up a model B-Wing ship off the floor.)

Dr. Kehlan: Nico, I’m afraid we have more pressing matters at the moment.

Nico: So you don’t wanna play?

(Tears begin welling up in Nico’s eyes.)

**Dr. Kehlan:* Nico, we can play soon, I just need you to answer a few questions first.

(The tears stop. Nico wipes them away with his sleeve.)

Nico: Oh, okay!

(Dr. Kehlan sits down on the couch and looks down at his clipboard.)

Dr. Kehlan: Nico, do you remember how you and SCP-49-I-I mean Penny, met?

Nico: Not really. All I remember was that I was running in a forest, and a bad guy was chasing me. I tripped and hurt my leg. The bad guy came out of the ground and grabbed my leg. It hurt a lot when he touched me. Then Penny came out of the woods and scared him away, into the ground. He came back up really fast behind Penny, but she was faster and stronger. She fought him, and she was all like WHAM! BAM! And then he disappeared. After that she came to help me, and we’ve traveled together since then.

**Nico:* Can we play now? I-

Dr. Kehlan: One second Nico, I have a few more questions for you.

Nico: Okay…

Dr. Kehlan: Has Penny ever done anything… strange?

Nico: Like what?

Dr. Kehlan: Has she always been made of pens or had this demeanor?

Nico: No for the first thing, yes for the second.

Dr. Kehlan: What else has she been made of?

Nico: She was made of sticks and twigs when she saved me. And one time she was made of plastic, and she was also made of leaves at one point, but she had to keep changing. She said something like “I don’t like this form” whenever I asked her. Then she tried pens and stayed that way. Can we play nooow?

Dr. Kehlan: One last question. Why were you two constantly on the move?

Nico: Penny said it was safer to keep moving, and that she wanted to find the bad guy and kill him. Now can we play?

Dr. Kehlan: Yes, Nico. We can play now.

End Log: 12:53 pm.
