Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: All authorized personnel within 50 meters of SCP-XXXX must approach cautiously by means of crawling, crouching, scooting, or rolling in order to examine the specimen. Surveying SCP-XXXX in an orthostatic standing position is forbidden and thus is vital for all staff to either sit or lie down during observation.

SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 5m x 3m x 4m concrete room. An acrylic glass window keeps SCP-XXXX in view. 15 Liters of water must be provided every 24 hours to sustain subject. At least three (3) security personnel are to monitor the organism at all times.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a fleshy stalk, approximately 1 meter in length. It possesses tendrils and fibers originating from its cord akin to a human’s nervous system. Said appendages make it seem taller, some reaching 2 meters in length. Its cranium is a head of sprouting curds, similar to cauliflower. The specimen hovers upright approximately 30 centimeters above the ground and floats at will in any direction within the confines of its cell. SCP-XXXX is sapient and is aware of its surroundings, and tolerates some human interaction.

SCP-XXXX often remains still with or without human presence, as observed [REDACTED]. When aggravated, it will use its tendrils to whip and lacerate anyone close. SCP-XXXX clasps against a wall when it sleeps; sometimes dipping from where it normally hovers.

SCP-XXXX was captured during [WILL FILL IN LATER] in the Atlantic Ocean with coordinates ██°█’█ ██°█’█ after several reports of spontaneous human combustion in three (3) sites [SEE REPORT S██████]. It is unknown whether all incidents were caused by SCP-XXXX or multiple iterations of its kind. At the time of containment three (3) cylindrical rings had since been removed from the specimen.

When SCP-XXXX teleports, it specifically needs a human as a ‘receiver’. No other organism is applicable. The subject feels discomfort followed by their [DATA EXPUNGED] and soon death as SCP-XXXX materializes inside. A bright incision traces from the cranium to the abdomen before the subject is split. Lacerations are cauterized and SCP-XXXX simply floats out.

In case of a breach, SCP-XXXX must be blocked from all entrances and exits so staff may set up a temporary cell with a Class D subject forced to stand next to a polyester container of water.

Addendum-XXXX-A: SCP-XXXX made its first escape attempt when it exited out of Dr. ████ during examination. Prior to the incident all staff approached SCP-XXXX normally without knowledge whether it could still teleport when XXXX-1 was removed.

Addendum-XXXX-B: SCP-XXXX attempted a second escape when it exited out of ██████ █████ directly four floors above its cell. Its maximum range of teleporting was unknown at the time.
