Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a soundproofed, airtight chamber five (5) meters in length, width, and height located at site-██. SCP-XXXX must be consistently observed through video and audio surveillance for any signs that an unprecedented ████████ event may occur. Personnel assigned to the video-feed monitoring of SCP-XXXX are to be advised to refrain from directly observing its cranial region, and are to be subject to psychological testing and treatment should they show signs of mental instability.
Communication with SCP-XXXX, via one-way intercom and video feed, is not to be initiated without level 3 clearance, and should be immediately terminated as soon as SCP-XXXX displays signs of distress. Interviews with SCP-XXXX suggest the existence of other instances, necessitating a Euclid classification and Foundation hyper-vigilance surrounding similar occurrences that initially brought attention to the existence of SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a emaciated humanoid approximately 3.9 meters in height and weighs approximately 95 kilograms. SCP-XXXX’s features resemble that of a human female, with the exception of lacking the organs necessary for a reproduction. SCP-XXXX’s cranial region consists of an oscillating mass that can trigger negative psychological effects through direct observation for a prolonged period of time, including: episodes of paranoia, acute stress response, and epileptic seizures. SCP-XXXX is incapable of verbal communication, but communicates with staff through fluent understanding of the English language and a rudimentary understanding of American Sign Language. Interviews with SCP-XXXX have shown that it's sentient, sapient, highly distressed by its anomalous effects, and it has described being in constant physical pain. SCP-XXXX does not require sustenance, and appears to go into an inert state in-between interactions with personnel and ████████ events.
SCP-XXXX was recovered in the vicinity of ████████ park in ████████, ████████. Attention was drawn to the park following increased reports of unexplained signs of violence (mutilated animal carcasses and blood trails / spatters / stains with no obvious source) within areas of the park where visitors either seldom traversed or were not permitted. Investigating personnel discovered SCP-XXXX in a makeshift shelter, and was cooperative with personnel in retrieval and transport to containment. Following removal of SCP-XXXX, the aforementioned reports ceased. Foundation intervention was timely, as the apparent radius of the reports had been expanding into areas where humans were expected to be present.
SCP-XXXX exhibits signs of an unstable psychological state, prone to hysteric episodes that trigger ████████ events when they reach their peak. A ████████ event is defined by the immediate inversion and [REDACTED] of animate, non-floral organic matter by an invisible force, within its surrounding radius that begins at a base of approximately 10 meters. These effects appear to have a connection to SCP-XXXX's distressed vocalizations during a ████████ event, although soundproofing has had no noticeable effect in mitigating damage. Protocol Catanach-XXXX has been determined to be necessary to prevent SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects from expanding beyond a controllable radius, subsequently disrupting the containment of both it and other anomalous objects, or becoming a threat to the general population. Interviews with SCP-XXXX imply it has incomplete knowledge regarding ████████ events, and the events have no benefit to SCP-XXXX.
Addendum XXXX-1: Experiments carried out to determine the exact effects of ████████ events on both living and non-living subjects, with approval of the Ethics Committee and Site Director.
Addendum XXXX-2: Transcribed interviews conducted with two of the park staff where SCP-XXXX was recovered, both who witnessed the effects of SCP-XXXX's anomalous properties.
