Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is kept in a modified military vehicle storage unit with reinforced walls. These walls must be actively monitored for structural integrity. If the integrity of any wall is compromised, Site Director Dr. Tilda D. Moose is to be immediately notified and since SCP-XXXX invulnerable MTF Nu-7 personnel must be present to slow down SCP-XXXX if a containment breach occurs.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a Russian T-80BV tank that is moved to Site 19, SCP-XXXX is identical to The T-80's first (and only) use in combat was in 1994 in the First Chechen War, where they suffered heavy losses in urban combat. Due to design flaws and high operating costs.
The Foundation found SCP-XXXX after receiving a call from the Federal Security Service (FSB). Law enforcement officials in the FSB has received an anonymous call reporting that a tank was driving around recklessly without any person operating it in a forest near Karyzhskiy, Kursk in 14/11/19██.
Any human entering SCP-XXXX transports them to an alternate dimension. Initial expeditions reveal that this dimension is a version of Earth in the year 2001 where Cold War tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union continued past 1991 and into the 2000's leading to United States fired their intercontinental ballistic missiles followed by Soviet Union firing their own, This battle was named “beginning of a new era” World War 3.
The subject’s role within the crew could be determined on where the subject takes a seat inside the tank. Sitting inside the tank does not appear to have an effect on the subject until the hatch is fully closed and after shutting the hatch SCP-XXXX will send you to an alternate dimension in a battlefield, the vicinity of the battlefield has been conformed to be Karyzhskiy Kursk wherein SCP-XXXX was first discovered.
Whilst a person operates the tank and gets a fatal shot at some point in the battle the hatch will open and reveal the corpse on how the subject was killed. The tank will have no visible damage in our dimension.
The only way to return back to reality is via winning the war which can take up to years for the individual, in our universe it could be from multiple seconds to 36 hours. If the individual manages to be successful and win the war the hatch will open to reveal the individual having no reminiscence of what occurred and leaving subjects with post-traumatic stress disorder.
To record information, a voice recorder or a two-way radio must be used. (If a two-way radio is being used subject’s will be asked to radio in every 11 days). A journal will be more reliable since there are interruptions caused by the static on the recorders/radio.
SCP-XXXX constantly attempts to return to the initial location of discovery while not in operation through any means possible. When unsuccessful SCP-XXXX would try again every 12 hours.
THE ONLY PICTURE OF SCP-XXXX
SCP-XXXX-1 Is the only photograph found inside SCP-XXXX the least distorted image taken, There were reports of people seeing a figure in the background. When a subject is holding the photo numerous people see themselves as the figure triggering excessive amounts of anxiety and fear within the subject, if a subject stares at the photograph for a long period SCP-XXXX-1 will provokes it’s subject’s to getting into SCP-XXXX. A digital image of the photograph is safe to view and analyse. Any other photos taken of SCP-XXXX start to distorts and will become beyond recognisable, reasons are unknown.
Discovery Log:
When the Law enforcements found SCP-XXXX running on its own without anyone operating, Officer Lyosha Vasiliev entered the tank for examination and shut the hatch in the process, the officers outside reported hearing instructions/commands from the inside. Few seconds later they found the burned corpse of Lyosha Vasiliev. After that incident SCP-XXXX got towed to a isolated junkyard to be blown up. A professional demolitions expert put approximately 20kg of dynamite inside SCP-XXXX. After the explosion and when the soot was cleared no damage was found.
