Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe Neutralized

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B are both to be stored in a standard safe containment box at Site-23. SCP-XXXX is considered neutralized. No further containment necessary.

Description: SCP-XXXX refers to the game created from the collection of two objects, SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B, and an entity, SCP-XXXX-C.

SCP-XXXX-A is a 70cm flat screen television. At the top of SCP-XXXX-A is the word "gametest1" written in permanent marker. SCP-XXXX-A exhibits no anomalous properties until SCP-XXXX-B is plugged into it.1

SCP-XXXX-B is a Nintendo 64 brand game controller (SCP-XXXX-B hereafter referred to as "the controller"). Similar to SCP-XXXX-A, the word "gametest1" is written on the controller.

Only when the controller is plugged into SCP-XXXX-A will SCP-XXXX-A turn on. Once on, SCP-XXXX-A will display a game menu with the title "Wipeout".2 The host of the game show, referred to as SCP-XXXX-C, is a Caucasian male at approximately 1.8 meters tall. SCP-XXXX-C is sentient and is capable of understanding and responding to speech, though no microphone has been found anywhere on SCP-XXXX-A.

Once in the game, the player is prompted to select from, at the time of writing, three contestants to play as. These contestants are sentient, but are considered non anomalous (See Addendum 1). SCP-XXXX-C will then inform the player that their goal is to traverse an obstacle course and reach the end with their chosen contestant. All obstacles of the obstacle course are above water, which the contestant will fall in if they make a mistake. If at any point the played contestant falls into the water, the player will immediately vanish from existence and appear in SCP-XXXX. At this point, the game will reset as if the controller was plugged into SCP-XXXX-A. The previous player would then become a playable contestant.

If at any point a player beats the obstacle course, the chosen contestant will appear at the exact location that they played SCP-XXXX at, at which point they will then no longer be a playable contestant in the game.

History: SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B was found in a thrift store in ██████ New York after it was linked to multiple disappearances. Purchase records and reports showed that it originated from a home in San Francisco California, where SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B were presumably made. It should be noted that the house where SCP-XXXX was also the home of two missing persons. Records reveal these persons to be father and daughter.
