Special Containment Procedures: The entrance of SCP-XXXX is to be kept under constant surveillance by at least two (2) Foundation security officers with Level 3 security clearances. If an unauthorized person or civilian acts hostile toward the guards and/or attempts to gain entry to SCP-XXXX, they are to be held on-site by security personnel and detained for questioning.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a small cave, approximately 20 meters in length, with a maximum height of 3 meters and maximum width of 10 meters. On the ground inside of SCP-XXXX is an engraving of the phrase "Welcome to the Good Ending, courtesy of the Oneiroi Collective." SCP-XXXX is in an undisclosed location within the Appalachian Mountains.
Whenever a human enters and remains in SCP-XXXX for more than 30 seconds, they will instantly fall unconscious and immediately experience REM sleep. The person will remain in a state of REM sleep and not be able to awaken unless they are removed from SCP-XXXX. If a person is left in SCP-XXXX, they will eventually die due to exposure or dehydration. After a person dies inside SCP-XXXX, their body will disappear, seemingly instantaneously, when it is not being observed.
All subjects who experience REM sleep within SCP-XXXX report having a dream. All reported dreams begin with the subject waking up in SCP-XXXX, and being greeted by a humanoid entity. This entity usually manifests as a deceased family member, friend, or loved one. If the subject does not have a deceased loved one, the entity will manifest as the person they last saw. The entity says some form of the phrase "I found something that will bring us peace, follow me." The entity leads the subject to the entrance of the cave, where they both sit down and converse while looking at the scenery. This scenery varies across subjects, and rarely matches the actual surroundings of the entrance of SCP-XXXX. The dream does not change after this, and will continue until the subject is removed from SCP-XXXX.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was first discovered and documented by Agent █████, who was requested to investigate rumors of a "cursed" cave in the Appalachian Mountain range. Locals claimed that some people who were last known to be camping or exploring in the general area surrounding the cave never returned.
On ██/██/20██, 2:13PM, Agent █████, accompanied by four members of MTF Zeta-9 ("Mole-Rats"), arrived at the entrance of SCP-XXXX. Inside of the cave was a sleeping man. Agent █████ attempted to wake the man by shouting into the cave, but this attempt failed. One MTF member, MTF-Zeta-9-03 entered the cave and tried to shake the man awake, but this attempt also failed. MTF-Zeta-9-03 exited the cave to retrieve a gas detector to use in the cave. He re-entered the cave with the gas detector, but no abnormal levels of any gas were detected. He also noticed the engraved message on the ground. Before returning outside, MTF-Zeta-9-03 fell to the ground. The following is an interview with MTF-Zeta-9-03 shortly after he was retrieved by backup personnel.
