An image taken by Voyager 2 picturing Neptune. SCP-XXXX is not observable due to the reflective nature of its hull.

Item #: XXXX

Object Class: Euclid/Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Because of the immense size and position of SCP-XXXX, it cannot be fully physically contained using methods known to the Foundation at this time. Satellites in orbit of Saturn, Neptune and Uranus are keeping SCP-XXXX under 24/7 surveillance using visual spectrum, infrared and ultraviolet based camera systems.

Protocol ARTEMIS-3 (details under Addendum XXXX-A3) is to be immediately activated upon SCP-XXXX changing its current orbit in any way.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a craft of unknown origins in high orbit of Neptune capable of interstellar travel. While SCP-XXXX is not observed to be damaged or incapacitated in any way, it has remained in polar orbit of Neptune since its discovery in 1989. Field activities suggest that SCP-XXXX was either created in or traveled from somewhere within the Cassiopeia galaxy (details under Incident Log XXXX-1).

SCP-XXXX is known to use highly advanced propulsion systems (rendering the craft capable of near light speed travel) and an unknown form of weapons system that breaks the molecular bonds of its target.

(edit under discovery notes) The first documentation of SCP-XXXX's existence was accomplished by NASA's Voyager 2 during its flyby of Neptune from August 24, to August 26 1989. Voyager 2's ultraviolet spectrometer collected data showing an abnormally high amount of localized radioactivity emanating from a location roughly 32 thousand kilometers above Neptune's surface.
