NOTICE FROM THE FOUNDATION RECORDS AND INFORMATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATION

Under recommendation from Lead Researcher L. Kaanaan, the following SCP may be unlisted and moved to the Log of Anomalous Items due to the lack of any considerable anomalous threat or containment risk.

— Abdul Lateef al-Rizk, Assistant Director, RAISA

Item #: SCP-6000

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6000 is to be placed in a small, food safe plastic container. The container is to be located on Shelf 4, Aisle 16 of the cold-storage wing of Mass Containment Depot #13.

Every month, all instances of SCP-6000 (excluding SCP-6000-8) shall be placed in a saucepan of water.

The saucepan is to be placed on a heated stove and let sit for 10-12 minutes.

The SCP-6000 instances will then be strained from the pan and run under cool water to ensure no further temperature rise.

Description: SCP-6000 is a group of 8 eggs1. The shell of each SCP-6000 instance exhibits a different color with varying shades of intensity.

SCP-6000-8 is a broken egg shell. The current location of the egg which is theorized to be previously contained within SCP-6000-8 is unknown.

The current known anomalous properties of each SCP-6000 instance are the inability of the egg’s shell to be cracked. Preliminary studies have demonstrated that dropping the SCP-6000 instances from a height of 2 meters does cause any cracking or breakage.

Further testing of SCP-6000 is suspended at this time. There is no further information available concerning SCP-6000. Item #: SCP-6000

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: The current known anomalous properties of each SCP-6000 instance are the inability of the egg’s shell to be cracked. Preliminary studies have demonstrated that dropping the SCP-6000 instances from a height of 2 meters does cause any cracking or breakage.

Item #: SCP-5273

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5273 Is locked up in 10x10x5 Containment Chamber with the walls being black in events of a containment breach 5 Epsolion-11 members must terminate the scorpions from SCP-5273

**Description:* SCP-5273 is a small 9 meter statue of the Greek philosopher Socrates.
SCP-5273 was discovered in a Antique Store in San Mateo California on September ██2006.
When a report of the Antique store owner who was named ████████ was chocked to death by scorpions. Whoever Touches SCP-5273 will have Scorpions coming after them at 26 MPR after 7 hours of exposure to SCP-5273. The First D class Personal to be Tested on SCP-5273 was D-9329.
D-9329 Touched SCP-5273 at first nothing happens but after 7 hours of D-9329 Touching SCP-5273
Scorpions came after her The Scorpions were designated SCP-5273-1 and SCP-5273-2
Dr ██████ and Dr ██████ Found Blood Samples of the Class d's who were attacked by SCP-5273-1 and SCP-5273-2 within 24 hours of Exposure to SCP-5273 The person who was Exposed to SCP-5273 in the first place will start to feel anxious with 48 hours of exposure to SCP-5273 the person who touched it will go insane the person will have to urge to go the containment chamber of SCP-5273 and trying to convince people to touch it all scientists that were convinced to touch it have met with failure

Addendum:

Subject D-5273-1 touched the statue a week ago as normal he went insane trying to convince
Dr ██████ to touch to statue it has met with failure

Subject D-5273-2 Also touched the statue a month ago Again like always D-5273-2 tried to convince a dr but this time instead of Dr ██████touching it was Dr ██████ who was convinced Dr ██████ did touch but we had to kill him before anything bad can happen

Note: The first one seems ok but the 2nd one the way you had to kill that doctor was just some dumb shit Dr. ████████

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 is to be kept in a humanoid containment cell with direct access to the sky. It should be fed a regular meal 3 times a day. It is to be made sure that SCP-XXXX-1 feels content to stay in its cell, failure to do so may result in a containment breach.

rain-field.jpg

SCP-XXXX moving to the location of a new SCP-XXXX-1

Description: SCP-XXXX is a rain could that reacts to how SCP-XXXX-1 is feeling, changing it's behaviours accordingly. SCP-XXXX-1 is a human individual that by itself doesn't show any annomalous properties, SCP-XXXX will always make it so that SCP-XXXX-1 stays in the center of it's radius.

SCP-XXXX has been recorded to be able to extend anywhere from an area of 500 m² to ███ km². Upon the death of SCP-XXXX-1, by natural or by any other means (See Addendum-XXXX-B), SCP-XXXX will [DATA EXPUNGED], destroying the remains (if any) of SCP-XXXX-1, and then will proceed to select another human to become SCP-XXXX-1. When this happens, MTF Pi-1  ("City Slickers") would be called to follow SCP-XXXX, determine who SCP-XXXX-1 is and retrieve it back to its containment cell.

Addendum-XXXX-A: SCP-XXXX was discovered when the foundation took notice of a never-ending rain in Lyon, France; It was first assumed to change its behaviors randomly, but thanks to Dr. [REDACTED], the Foundation discovered that SCP-XXXX would follow and change its behaviors according to a French woman aged ██ years old, which would be classified as SCP-XXXX-1 and retrieved by MTF Pi-1.

Addendum-XXXX-B: SCP-XXXX-1 started showing signs of extreme dehydration ██ minutes after initial containment in a standard humanoid containment cell. Foundation doctors were called to see what could be done to stop these symptoms, but nothing was effective. █ hours after initial containment, SCP-XXXX-1 expired and SCP-XXXX [DATA EXPUNGED], causing the destruction of part of Site-46 and the containment breach of █ other SCP's.

Afterwards, SCP-XXXX began to move to a new location, and by the same means, the Foundation managed to find and retrieve the new SCP-XXXX-1, an English male aged 27 years old. While MTF Pi-1 were recovering SCP-XXXX-1, Dr. Elitalia was debating with Dr. [REDACTED] on why the previous SCP-XXXX-1 passed away. They came to the conclusion that SCP-XXXX-1 needed the water coming from SCP-XXXX to survive, resulting in the construction of the current containment cell for SCP-XXXX-1.

Test Logs:

Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 was allowed to talk to a family member of his choosing, the family member would afterwards be treated with Class-A amnestics.
Resulted Behavior: SCP-XXXX behaved similarly to a calm rain, with no other side effects.

Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 was denied food for 36 hours, as by request of Dr. Elitalia.
Resulted Behavior: SCP-XXXX's rain water began to produce the required nutrients to feed SCP-XXXX-1. Tests with samples collected from the rain would show that it contained tryptophan, threonine, vitamins B3 and B6, calcium, iron, etc.

Procedures: Two D-class were brought to SCP-XXXX-1's cell and were ordered to make fun of SCP-XXXX-1.
Resulted Behavior: SCP-XXXX began to turn into a hailstorm, bothering both D-class and SCP-XXXX-1. The D-classes were ordered to continue. SCP-XXXX gradually got more intense. The test halted when the rain began to damage the containment chamber, at which point SCP-XXXX began to change back to its normal state.

Procedures: SCP-XXXX-1 was ordered to write down all the natural numbers from 1 to █████, with 1 guard posted in it's cell to ensure SCP-XXXX-1 wouldn't stop until it finished it's task.
Resulted Behavior: SCP-XXXX began to

Procedures: With approval of a researcher with level 2 clearance, D-49753 entered SCP-XXXX-1's cell and was ordered to attack SCP-XXXX-1.
Resulted Behavior: [DATA EXPUNGED]
Based on the damage caused by this test, the O5 Council decided, by a vote of 9-4, that testing involving physical damage to SCP-XXXX-1 is strictly forbidden from now on. - O5-█

FRESH%20OIL.jpg

Scp: XXXX-J

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Scp XXXX-J is to be kept on a wooden stool and always observed by an authority. The object will seem to disappear to a random spot on earth. In the case of it happening a tracker is placed on the sign to keep track of and get to before anyone else gets their hands on it.

Description: SCP-XXXX-J is a yellow pick sign with the words "Fresh Oil" in bold. It seems that the sign would appear at any random location with the US Army always seeming to come around even in locations where the army isn't located, they seem to come around in about 5 minutes. It seems to cause a base closest to the area to go into a hypnotic and try to extract the "oil". When the oil company arrives, the seems to disappear and the effect is removed as nothing happened and everyone forgets about the fresh oil.

İn…and…out, just breathe, I tell myself…in and out…in and out. I’m trying to compose myself. I think what I’m doing is right, but this isn't The Serpent's way…it doesn't matter! The 'veil' may be lifted but the majority of people still don't know much about us. We need to share the knowledge of the library and I think this is the way to do it. l cleared away my self-doubt, but it doesn't help with my nervousness…in and out…in and out. I collect myself. It's time to start.
“Is this thing on? Are we live? Okay then, Hi! You're probably wondering who I am, that doesn't matter, I'm just here to deliver a message. No! I am not holding any hostages!” I sigh to myself. “Just…listen to this Universe, listen to it until you reach Serpent's Hand. That is your organization. I am a part of it as well. Now, continue reading it, read the orientation letter carefully. Now, I want to reiterate that I do not represent the whole of Serpent's Hand, I am acting of my own accord as I think that this will be helpful for you. I know that your lives have been pretty chaotic throughout these couple of months, but soon the smells of the library will be just as reassuring as they were to me and my brother. I think it's going to be better, the library is a place that welcomes all, I understand that it will be scary. When you’ve lived your whole life in darkness, lights are painful and blinding to your eyes, but once your eyes get adjusted you will be able to see the beauty of the world. The library will help you throughout the process. Well initiate, know you know the rules! Welcome to the garden.”
I let out a huge sigh of relief, it was finished. I decided to go home, I was tired and I know that it’s going to get very crowded tomorrow. I will be extremely busy helping people. I exited the building looking completely normal, nobody recognized me.That's to be expected, I was hiding my identity, but I had expected there to be more issues. I start to walk home, but I just can't shake this feeling of wrongness. Ever since the 'veil' was lifted I have felt empty. It’s been months since the 'veil' was lifted and I should be happy but I'm not. I feel like I disappointed my brother. He died for this cause and I'm being an ungrateful brat! Once I’m inside of my home I sit down and think. Why do I feel this way? Our goals are achieved. I should be the happiest woman alive. But I'm not. Am I really an ungrateful bitch? I think that’s what my brother would call me in this situation, maybe he would’ve screamed at me. Or maybe he would’ve just been disappointed.
I pause for a second. And I take a deep breath. I really need to stop with the self-loathing, but I always relapse into this train of thought. Why do I feel so empty? Some people told me they feel the same way, maybe everybody's feeling this way. I mean our goal has been achieved, but now we have no purpose. We didn't even break it…
Suddenly, I had an epiphany. “Why didn't we break it?” That question changes everything!
“Why didn't we break it? It was easy we could have leaked it, but why does North Korea have to be destroyed? We achieved our goal, but why does a whole country have to be destroyed? Why didn't we just….it's for the greater good. My brother would say it was for the greater good, but we didn't even do it! The bookburners did it, we were just bystanders! Why? We just leak things to the public, but instead we just sat around in the library twiddling our thumbs, stealing a few things sometimes but never anything of substance! Why?”
Then I had a realization.
I started screaming.
“It’s because we didn't want to, we always blame the jailers, the oppressors, the ones with the amnestics! Everybody….they will kill us all!”. Why didn't they reveal the library?
I mean at least my brother told me, but if that was true then why not leak it? Why didn't he or LS bitch do it? I mean if LS bitch wanted to leak it so badly, we wouldn’t he just do it? İf the jailers were falling apart so easily.and the 'veil' had been lifted, why wouldn't they reveal the library? Why did it take us months to do it? Actually, am I the only one who had that idea?
I’ve figured it out!
It’s because we didn't want to! The Library. The beacon of knowledge. It contains another universe, but we didn't tell anybody, we kept this all a secret. We are supposed to be the ones fighting against those types of secrets. I mean now there aren’t even any consequences for revealing the anomalies! We are all hypocrites. Tell me brother, are you happy that you died for nothing? Are you happy that I live my life, having paid such a steep price, for nothing?
I stopped yelling and started crying. “All my life has been for nothing. My brother lied to me. He said that everything was going to be okay. We were going to defeat the jailers, but we didn't. At least our goals are accomplished, but it doesn’t bring more than emptiness.” I remember my brother's warm smile, but now it just feels manipulative. I have lived all my life following everything he did and…Why am I blaming my brother from my problems. Yeah, he made me join The Serpent's Hand, but I can't reasonably say that he's responsible for my misery. Going back to this Morning, I made that speech, maybe I should be a bit more optimistic. Yeah, we’re fucking hypocrites, but maybe we should try to be better. Now that the veil has been lifted we need to find a new purpose. Maybe educating people will be our new purpose. I wipe my tears off of my face. My life has been pretty chaotic recently, but everything's going to be okay. This is just becoming painful to think about. Our Redemption Arc started today and I need to get some sleep. The next few days are going to be very busy.

Item #: SCP-5XXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Due to its nature, SCP-5XXX cannot be conventionally contained. A disinformation campaign is to be carried out asserting that it is a vestigial organ from humanity's evolutionary past.

In accordance with Procedure 5XXX-Alpha, any SCP-5XXX-1 instance with extensive knowledge of the Foundation or the anomalous must be either brought into the Foundation as an employee, or terminated. Extensive knowledge constitutes evidence that these things exist, and a willingness to share said evidence.

SCP-5XXX-1 instances employed by the foundation should be kept away from roles involved with secure information, due to the near impossibility of removing said information from the memories of -1 instances.

Description: SCP-5XXX is a brain structure found in approximately 0.013% of people - referred to as SCP-5XXX-1 instances - that is capable of producing strong mnestic chemicals in response to unknown stimuli. As such, any person in possession of the SCP-5XXX structure will have greatly reduced response to amnestics and other memory-altering effects (including anomalous ones), and a greatly improved conventional long-term memory.2 SCP-5XXX-1 instances are also anomalously drawn to to antimemetic objects and ideas, and possess some level of shielding from their effects.

SCP-5XXX is theorised to be a now-redundant defence against memory-altering and antimemetic predators in humanity's distant past. These predators would have been very hard to perceive or remember, and likely would have extended these traits to their victims. SCP-5XXX would have served as an effective defence by making SCP-5XXX-1 instances much more capable of perceiving, tracking and warning others of these predators. It is known to the Foundation that such entities did exist and were at times extremely widespread, making this a likely explanation for SCP-5XXX's existence.

The chemicals produced by SCP-5XXX are highly unstable outside of the body, and rapidly deteriorate when exposed to air, light and most chemical tests. As such, the makeup of the chemicals is entirely unknown, and is likely impossible to test with the Foundation's current technology. In the few cases that the chemicals have survived outside the body for long enough to be injected into a baseline human, they have had the expected result - nullifying the effects of amnestics.

Of note is that around 2% of Foundation employees are SCP-5XXX-1 instances, over 150 times the expected number. This is partially due to the use of Procedure 5XXX-Alpha, and also likely due to the Foundation's use of amnestics not properly wiping the memories of unknown SCP-5XXX-1 instances, making them more likely to remember and attempt to join the Foundation.

Addendum 5XXX-1: Procedure 5XXX-Alpha

Procedure 5XXX-Alpha is designed to minimise the risk of an information breach or possible Lifted Veil scenario due to an SCP-5XXX-1 instance gaining information on the Foundation or the anomalous in general and spreading it further than the Foundation could reasonably clear up.

Foundation operatives are to continuously monitor print and digital media for any information on the Foundation or anomalous phenomena, in accordance with standard procedures. If any civilian continues to display knowledge following being tracked down and amnesticized, they are to be detained by the nearest foundation presence and scanned for the presence of SCP-5XXX. Should they possess it, they are to be put in contact with Researcher Lysandra Peterson and her team for recruitment.

SCP-5XXX-1 instances should be given accurate information on the general nature of the Foundation and the anomalous, as well as details about SCP-5XXX, so as to ensure their decision is a properly informed one. They are to be encouraged to join the Foundation, usually at low level positions, as the only alternative is termination. As the termination of people for something out of their control is a needless waste of human life and highly unethical, this should only be employed as a last resort.

Addendum 5XXX-2: Testing Log

Test ID: 5XXX-01

Date: 1997/03/18

Details of test: D-68501, a known SCP-5XXX-1 instance, was asked to memorise a list of numbers, then repeat them back after being given class-A amnestics.

Results: D-68501 repeated the numbers back with perfect accuracy.

Test ID: 5XXX-02

Date: 1997/04/02

Details of test: D-68501, after confirming that he could still remember the numbers from the first test, was treated with targeted class-C amnestics and asked to repeat the numbers again.

Results: D-68501 repeated the numbers back with 96% accuracy.

Note: This shows that SCP-5XXX may have weaknesses to certain types of amnestics, but given that a full dose of class-Cs only resulted in 4% memory erasure, recruitment and termination are still much more viable options. - Researcher A Stevens

Test ID: 5XXX-03

Date: 1997/04/19

Details of test: D-74556, another SCP-5XXX-1 instance, was asked to memorise a similar list of numbers. However, D-74556 was not told of the nature of the test, and was informed that she was a member of the control group. Class-A amnestics were then given to her via her lunch in the D-class cafeteria. Later in the day, D-74556 was asked to repeat the list of numbers.

Results: The amnestics had very limited effect, with D-74556 remembering 92% of the list of numbers and remarking on a slight confusion on what she had eaten for lunch.

Note: It appears that 5XXX has limited effectiveness when the subject is not told they are being amnesticized. D-74556 was deliberately not told about the test at any point including afterwards as to retain a subject for future tests of a similar nature. - Researcher A Stevens

Test ID: 5XXX-04

Date: 1997/05/12

Details of test: D-68501 was placed in an nMRI scanner, then asked to memorise a list of numbers. He was then given class-A amnestics intravenously while still in the scanner.

Results: No activity was detected in SCP-5XXX while D-68501 was reading or memorising the numbers. However, a large spike of activity was detected around 38 seconds after the amnestics were injected, corresponding with the time it would take them to reach the brain from the injection site.

Note: It appears 5XXX plays no part in actually memorising information, and instead only acts to prevent the loss of it. Further experimentation is required. - Stevens

[Extraneous tests omitted for brevity]

Test ID: 5XXX-11

Date: 2002/08/07

Details of test: D-68501 was sedated, and underwent surgery to remove SCP-5XXX from his brain. The purpose of this test was both to work out what other functions 5XXX contributed to (if any), and to better study its structure.

Results: D-68501 became comatose, and as of 2008/02/17 remains in this state. The 5XXX instance was successfully extracted from his brain, but despite careful study, no information on its method of function could be ascertained.

Note: I will not lie, this test was a failure. We lost a cooperative 5XXX-1 instance and it was all for nothing. Sometimes I wonder why we do what we do. Surely procedure 5XXX-alpha is enough. Do we really need to take everything apart and see what makes it tick? Because when we do, innocent people die. But then I remember that when we don't, more people die. Understanding is the key to containment - and containment is our job. - Researcher A Stevens

Following Test 5XXX-11 and the loss of D-68501, testing was suspended indefinitely.
