BY ORDER OF THE OVERSEER COUNCIL
The following file is Level 4/XXXX classified. Unauthorized access will be punished with inmediate termination.
Greetings.
If you are reading this, it is because you have earned the trust of the O5 Council, only those hand picked by us have access to this document.
The tasks specified in this file are considered of top priority by the O5 Council, and are to be fullfiled as soon as possible, the council will not accept anything but total success.
For the sake of the world order, the Foundation and yourself, DO NOT FAIL.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter Thaumiel Uncontained
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B are to be immediately terminated. Any individual somehow related to SCP-XXXX-A or SCP-XXXX-B is to be interrogated and punished. Punishment may arrange from amnesticization, demotion to D-Class personnel, or termination.
Any individual who interacted directly with SCP-XXXX-B is to be considered lost and terminated after interrogation.
Description:
SCP-XXXX-A, also known as Venus, is a caucasian female with a height of 180cm, long black hair, and green eyes with the appearance of a 23-year-old woman despite being currently 26 years old, who identifies herself as Sophia ███████ ██████ ██████, whether or not this is her true name is still unknown. SCP-XXXX-A does not possess any discernable speech pattern or accent that could give light about which his her country of origin, any attempt to identify SCP-XXXX-A's DNA or fingerprints has driven negative results.
Little is known about SCP-XXXX-A's background but it has been confirmed that she was the first successful test subject of Project MAU-78, a group of highly secret experiments conducted by the Chaos Insurgency to create super soldiers and spies to serve in their lines. SCP-XXXX-A affirms she was intended to be the leader of the main group of soldiers and spies, identified under the code name Artemis.
SCP-XXXX-A possess a wide range of anomalous properties and abilities, some of which are listed below:
• SCP-XXXX-A's arms and legs are prostheses created by Anderson Robotics utilizing technology from Prometheus Labs. These prostheses have the form of human bones, making them difficult to discern from regular human bone structure via X-rays, and are made from an unknown material that can not be detected via any current means. The prostheses give SCP-XXXX-A an anomalous amount of strength and resistance.
• Both eyes of SCP-XXXX-A are bio-mechanical. SCP-XXXX-A doesn't seem to suffer from any form of optical damage or malfunction, regardless of the conditions her eyes are forced to endure, granting SCP-XXXX-A an unhuman vision, being able to shoot a moving bee from 846 meters away, and according to SCP-XXXX-A, they are the consequence of intervention from both Anderson Robotics and a group identified as Dionysus's SPA.
• SCP-XXXX-A's brain has several unidentified mechanical components that protect SCP-XXXX-A from the effects of memetic, Cognito and info hazards, amnestics, and other forms of mind alteration.
Tests have shown that even memetic agents capable of causing death in humans only give SCP-XXXX-A a migraine that may last from minutes to hours without leaving any other meaningful secondary effects.
• SCP-XXXX-A's body seems to be immune to every known disease and in theory, seems to be able to withstand the effects of numerous anomalous diseases and ailments. Whether or not SCP-XXXX-A's immune system could be used to create a cure or vaccine for these anomalous viruses and bacteria is still unknown.
•SCP-XXXX-A is capable of withstanding pressures and damage that a regular human body should not. The exact limits of her capacities are still to be known but thus far it is known that she can resist falls from a three-store high building without suffering lethal injuries, her skin is immune to low caliber gunshots, this leaves bruises, however, and must sharp objects barely scratch her epidermis.
•SCP-XXXX-A's body also displays unusual regenerative capabilities. Cuts will only take seconds to regenerate, holes left by the use of guns will take around 2 to 10 minutes to fully regenerate alongside any damaged tissue or organ, broken bones will take around 3 to 45 minutes to fully regenerate depending on how severe the fracture is.
It has been theorized that if 99% of SCP-XXXX-A's ribcage is removed, it should be fully regenerated in around a week.
It should be noted that when SCP-XXXX-A regenerates lost tissue no marks will be left indicating the existence of previous damage, because of this SCP-XXXX-A's skin and internal body systems seem to be in a perpetual healthy state, with no marks such as scars, acne, sunburns, cavities, etc.
This inexistence of damage or markings makes it impossible to identify precisely when SCP-XXXX-A's implants and prostheses were placed.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of SCP-XXXX-A's body is that it doesn't possess any kind of anomalous components or chemicals, making it, in theory, an ordinary human body.
•SCP-XXXX-A's body doesn't seem to display the characteristics of a body enduring training as harsh as hers, displaying little muscle growth and toning.
Staff and researchers studying SCP-XXXX-A remarked constantly that she looked more like a "supermodel" rather than a soldier.
•SCP-XXXX-A displays high adaptability as well as unusually high stamina. See Addendum XXXX-MT for further details.
• SCP-XXXX-A possesses a photographic memory, if this is a consequence of the anomalous implants in her brain or just a trade she was born with is still debated.
SCP-XXXX-A wearing "The Mask"
•SCP-XXXX-A can learn about any topic in a record time, be it either physical or academic. So far SCP-XXXX-A has proven to be an expert in the following areas: Almost all martial arts, weapon handling of both low and high caliber weapons, armed close-range combat, espionage, physics, aircraft handling, mathematics, history, anime history, videogame history, almost all forms of muscle training, toning and sports, strategic thinking, Formula 1, acupuncture, anatomy, and biology.
It is believed SCP-XXXX-A is in possession of an item known to the foundation as The Mask. The object resembles a porcelain mask with no distinctive features. All the information regarding The Mask comes from interrogations to Chaos Insurgency members and foundation staff present during incident Nihgta-23, see Addendum Nihgta-23 for further details. The Mask is said to have the capability, when worn, to change the wearer's physical structure and voice to resemble the appearance of anyone they know.
The confiscation and containment of The Mask are considered high priority since it is especially dangerous when in possession of SCP-XXXX-A, due to her capacity to perfectly imitate the attitude, speech patterns, and mannerisms of anyone she encounters.
This capacity does not seem to be anomalous by itself but rather originates from SCP-XXXX-A's training in the art of espionage, enhanced by her many anomalous capabilities.
▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔
SCP-XXXX-B is the designation given to Sebastian González, a 175cm tall Latin American male with short black hair and black eyes. SCP-XXXX-B is an ex-member of the SCP Foundation's Ethics Committee who displayed no anomalous properties when working for the Foundation.
"The Watch" before being "refined" by SCP-914
SCP-XXXX-B is capable of transmitting a memetic agent that in 57% of cases will cause the subject interacting with SCP-XXXX-B to perceive what SCP-XXXX-B says as true and in some cases, subjects infected by the memetic agent will attempt to help SCP-XXXX-B.
Alongside this memetic agent, it is strongly believed SCP-XXXX-B possesses the same regenerative capabilities and resilience as SCP-XXXX-A, as well as strength, resistance, and stamina similar to Olympic degree athletes, but as SCP-XXXX-A it doesn't show any physical features that indicate such qualities except by the perpetual healthy state.
These qualities are believed to be given to him by Dionysus's SPA, but the exact means and/or processes by which such anomalous qualities were given to him are still unknown.
Both SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B were captured by Security Guards of site-28 before being transported to site-54.

Addendum XXXX-MT:
TO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT DURING MEDICAL PROCEDURES
Any experimentation or medical test regarding SCP-XXXX-A must be carried out with the subject in a conscious state because its body inhibits the effect of anesthetics, making a complete loss of sensitivity or consciousness impossible. By order of the ethics committee, the subject should receive a constant flow of anesthetics to alleviate the pain as much as possible.
— Medical Staff Director
The following is a summary of medical examinations regarding SCP-XXXX-A
| TEST |
|
| XXXX-1 |
An X-ray of SCP-XXXX-A's body. Made with the consent of SCP-XXXX-A
Results: The confirmation and identification of numerous anomalous implants in SCP-XXXX-A's body. |
| XXXX-2 |
Removal of the explosive implanted in SCP-XXXX-A's head. Made with the consent of SCP-XXXX-A.
Results: Successful removal of the explosive. Visual confirmation of the existence of implants, their removal is impossible without causing fatal damage to SCP-XXXX-A. Attempts to understand how such implants work have been inconclusive.
Note: 4 minutes after the removal of the explosive, the device detonated causing the death of 2 members of the medical staff and 6 researchers, alongside huge infrastructural damage to the room where it was relocated. SCP-XXXX-A assures it happened because the Insurgency now knows of its deflection. |
| XXXX-3 |
Vivisection was made in both arms and legs of SCP-XXXX-A to observe the prostheses underneath them. Made with the consent of SCP-XXXX-A
Results: The existence of the prostheses was visually confirmed. Similarities to SCP-2806 were noted. The use of Prometheus Labs' technology was confirmed. |
| XXXX-4 |
Provide electrical shocks to SCP-XXXX-A to observe its adaptive capabilities. Made without the consent of SCP-XXXX-A
Results:A shock between 1 and 412V does not appear to noticeably affect SCP-XXXX-A. A shock between 475 and 546V causes SCP-XXXX-A to convulse for 4 minutes and causes it a considerable amount of distress, afterwards SCP-XXXX-A is unaffected by such electric shocks. A shock between 578 and 600V causes SCP-XXXX-A a huge amount of distress and seizures that lasted 16 minutes after the electric shocks were stopped. No damage was detected in any of SCP-XXXX-A's implants or prosthetics and SCP-XXXX-A was able to become immune to such shocks.
A request for testing with a stronger electric shock was denied. |
| XXXX-5 |
Break SCP-XXXX-A's chest cage to observe its regenerative abilities. Request denied. |
| XXXX-6 |
Remove one of SCP-XXXX-A's eyeballs to study their composition more closely. Request denied. |
| XXXX-7 |
Removal of SCP-XXXX-A's left arm skin and muscle tissue to observe its regenerative capabilities. Made without the consent of SCP-XXXX-A.
Results: All the skin matter and muscle tissue removed was regenerated in 10 days after removal, no marks or scars were observed in the newly generated tissue. SCP-XXXX-A recovered a limited mobility of the limb during day 6, once the tissue was fully regenerated no side effects were detected and the mobility of the limb was the same as in the original. SCP-XXXX-A remarked not feeling any level of distress when using the newly regenerated limb. |
| XXXX-8 |
Removal of one of SCP-XXXX-A's limbs in order to study it's composition and the prosthesis more closely. Request denied.
Note: SCP-XXXX-A remarked "I'm not a fan of getting dismembered again." |
| XXXX-9 |
Provide weights to SCP-XXXX-A to test the strength of its protheses. Made with the consent of SCP-XXXX-A.
Results:SCP-XXXX-A was able to lift 500Kg over its head and 624Kg to its thighs. |
| XXXX-10 |
Test SCP-XXXX-A's capacity to withstand chemical alterations.
Results:No current amnestics affect SCP-XXXX-A's memory. The direct injection of compound Y-909 caused high levels of distress and headaches for two hours but no long-term effects or damage to SCP-XXXX-A's memory or cognitive capacity was observed.
The ingestion of Black Cotton Candy caused no alterations on SCP-XXXX-A's body or mental capacities. The direct consumption of Clown Milk barely raised SCP-XXXX-A's serotonin production.
Note:After drinking the Clown Milk SCP-XXXX-A stated "I'm glad when things go well." |

Security Guard Mark: So…Any plans for the weekend?
Security Guard Stevenson: Gonna spend it with the kids, I have custody this weekend.
An explosion is heard nearby and alarms set off
Security Guard Mark: Shit! Lock the doors!
Security Guard Stevenson: What happened?!
The security guard, Stevenson, rushed to the door and closed it while security guard Mark called by radio.
Security Guard Mark: Give me a status report.
Radio voice: The Insurgency..Static…They..Static….No no no!
A shot can be heard from both the radio and the hallway.
Security Guard Stevenson: Here Lamba 66, we require backup, repeat, we require backup!
The door to the containment room ███ is blown apart, and a group of Chaos Insurgency soldiers walks in. Both security guards shoot at the intruders, bringing one down before both of them are shoot in their arms and thighs.
A Chaos Insurgency soldier looks at the security cameras in the room and shoots all of them.
[END LOG]
The following is the recovered audio, it has been confirmed that the CI soldier that shoot the cameras was SCP-XXXX-A.
Date: ██/██/████
Sound of radio being turned on
SCP-XXXX-A:Come in
Joker:I told you no deads.
CI Soldier:Things not always go as planned.
Put the mask in there,we haven't got all day.
SG Mark: You bastards, argh!
Sound of gun being loaded accompanied by sounds of a small bell ringing
Joker:Stop it!…the deal was either no deads or the least possible.
SCP-XXXX-A: Why do you worry sorry much about them? The least witnesses the better.
Joker: That wasn't the deal. ("Joker" is clearly upset)
SCP-XXXX-A: You are gonna cry? Bitch.
Gunshots
SCP-XXXX-A: Take cover!
Gunshots
SCP-XXXX-A:Block the entrance and clear the hallways!….Hey! Come back here!
Sound of gunshots for around 3 minutes
CI Soldier:Foundation Convoys! Incoming!
SCP-XXXX-A:Congratulations! Now we have two witnesses running free. They are gonna tell…
Joker: Tell what?!They won't tell anything because they know nothing. Their deaths are unnecesary.
SCP-XXXX-A:The engineer won't consent such behaviour.
Joker:My instructions and terms were clear. NO deads or the least possible.
The sounds of SCP-914 stop.
SCP-XXXX-A:Finally. Get your crap in there and lets end this.
The bell of SCP-914 sounds once more.
SCP-XXXX-A:Now be good and raise your hands…..Throw the gun.
Joker:For you to capture me? If you dare to try I'll shoot. I'm still useful, you can't affort to loose me, do you?
Around 7 minutes of gunshots, screams are heard before SCP-914 stops.
Joker:This took way longer than expected.
CI Soldier:Look out! An explosion is heard in the hallway.
Foundation MTF officer: Freeze!
The identification of SCP-XXXX-A wasn't possible until her containment since it was wearing a mask and using a voice distorter.
When MTF forces arrived to the scene they claim to have seen Joker holding SCP-XXXX-A by her waist before being blinded shortly by a green light that enveloped both intruders. Once the light was gone, no traces of SCP-XXXX-A or Joker were found.
Security Guards Mark and Stevenson were located 1 kilometer away from SCP-914's location, inside a warehouse, the wounds of both were poorly bandaged. Both assured that Joker was grabbing a pocket watch and that such device emmited the green light, they also assured that Joker was the one who bandaged their wounds and told them "It's because of me that you have a bullet wound in the shoulder and not the head."
It is assumed by the foundation that this pocket watch is the item Joker refined.
Security Guards Mark and Stevenson received disciplinary actions for not attempting to stop the individual now known as Joker and for not taking all the possible routes of action before surrendering to their assailants.
SCP-XXXX-A has not given any information about Joker and the mask the Chaos Insurgency refined except for the facts that Joker contacted the Chaos Insurgency one day and affirmed he could give them access to some SCPs and that the refined mask is an anomalous object utilized by SCP-XXXX-A in order to fullfil her spying missions more efficiently.
Investigation is on-going.
Addendum Interviews with SCP-XXXX:
Interviewing SCP-XXXX-A proved to be a task more difficult than the foundation originally expected. SCP-XXXX-A refused to give any information unless SCP-XXXX-B was with it in the interrogation room and when interviewed SCP-XXXX-A gave little information regarding its past, the Insurgency, and the origin of her anomalous properties.
Currently, the only facts extracted from SCP-XXXX-A are:
[DATA EXPUNGED]
- It was ordered to spy, possibly capture or even terminate SCP-XXXX-B.
- SCP-XXXX-A claims she deflected the Insurgency after falling in love with SCP-XXXX-B.
- SCP-XXXX-A has provided information about contained anomalies and Foundation staff to the Chaos Insurgency.
- The deaths of Dr.Malcom, Junior Researcher Shawn, MTF Commander Chrome, site director Winston, and at least 47 MTF officers are a direct consequence or somehow related to SCP-XXXX-A's actions.
SCP-XXXX-A remarked multiple times how it could escape containment without issue and supposedly identified 54 ways in which it could escape containment.
On one occasion SCP-XXXX-A breached containment, MTF forces were immediately dispatched to hunt it down, thirteen minutes after the breach occurred SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B were located in the onsite cafeteria eating two hamburgers that SCP-XXXX-B provided and even offered some to the MTF agents.
When captured SCP-XXXX-A remarked "You wanted to know if I could escape, didn't you? Well, I can. Gotta admit that 24 minutes before founding me is kinda disappointing."
SCP-XXXX-B was interrogated on how he knew SCP-XXXX-A would escape that specific day and commented "I've been with her for two years, I know her. She was growing bored, wanted to stretch her legs, I was expecting her to come by some time soon. I supposed she would attempt it around this hour, that way we could meet at the cafeteria and I assumed she would be hungry."
The following is an interview with SCP-XXXX-B, the interview was conducted by Ethics Committee Member Ross, SCP-XXXX-B's direct superior while working for the Foundation.
Interview XXXX/8 Video Log
Interviewer: ECM Ross
Interviewed SCP-XXXX-B
[BEGIN LOG]
ECM Ross: Good evening
SCP-XXXX-B: You? Really?
ECM Ross: Please limit yourself to answer my questions.
SCP-XXXX-B: Ross come on..
ECM Ross: Refer to me by my title.
SCP-XXXX-B: I was already trialed, I already proved that Sophia gave fake info to the Insurgency, I already told you I helped her redact those fake files.
ECM Ross took out a handkerchief and passed it on his forehead before adjusting his glasses.
ECM Ross: Please limit yourself to…
SCP-XXXX-B: The attack that killed James was aimed at YOU Ross, YOU!!! SHE gave fake info, SHE SAVED YOUR LIFE!!
ECM Ross: May I go?
████: Continue with the interview.
ECM Ross: I I…
SCP-XXXX-B rose from his seat and walked towards the reflecting glass, attempting to look at the control team.
SCP-XXXX-B: WHY!? WHY IS HE SUPPOSED TO DO THIS!? We already told you everything, she proved she's been helping us, she put her life on the line for mine, she surrendered to us. What else do you want!?
ECM Ross: We want to know the why.
SCP-XXXX-B: She…
ECM Ross: She didn't fall for you, Sebastian! She didn't! There is something more there has to be more!.
SCP-XXXX-B: WHy not!? HM!?
SCP-XXXX-B smashed the table and leaned towards ECM Ross
SCP-XXXX-B: Why is it so hard to believe that someone wants to be good?
ECM Ross: You were…an outstanding member of our committee, even at your age, you…Proved to be what the committee needed. That's why we accepted your insubordinations…But this…
SCP-XXXX-B:I helped someone.
ECM Ross: You betrayed us…You lived with her knowing who she is, knowing how many lives she has taken, and yet…You come and proclaim she is good…You are not like this….you never tolerated evil, you punished Doctors and Directors who wanted to abuse their power, and yet…You lived with a murderer and hide her from us, protected her from us. That's is not the Sebastian I know…
SCP-XXXX-B:…YOU call her a murderer…YOU, someone who has authorized the deaths of more Ds than me…How many children have died yet because of ████████, how many people have been eaten alive, tortured, and deformed by the papers WE SIGN!!!
If she is a murderer, I'm the devil…She admitted she has killed and regrets it..We…We just sleep every night like babies after authorizing the use of an unborn child in an experiment because somehow humanity needs that…We all know this Foundation kills more people a day than the Insurgency does in a week. We are in no right to judge her or doubt her change of heart, we are not monsters Ross, neither angels nor guardians…We are humans…Terrible ones.
ECM Ross:The Foundation…What was that?
Gunshots are heard from outside.
SCP-XXXX-B: Those aren't our guys are they?
The door to the interrogation room is blown apart, the explosion injuring both SCP-XXXX-B and ECM Ross who fall to the ground. Chaos Insurgency soldiers grab SCP-XXXX-B and while other looks at ECM Ross.
SCP-XXXX-B:No! No no no!
Gunshot
SCP-XXXX-B: Ross!

Interviewer: MTF Commander Williams
Interviewed SCP-XXXX-A
MTFC Williams: SCP-XXXX
SCP-XXXX-A: I thought your committee said you are supposed to call me Sophia.
MTFC Williams: ECM Sebastian was captured by the Insurgency.
SCP-XXXX-A: You are shitting me.
MTFC Williams showed SCP-XXXX-A Interview XXXX/8.
SCP-XXXX-A raised from the bed of her cell and attempted to walk towards MTFC Williams but was restrained by the handcuffs embedded in the walls that were placed on her arms and legs.
SCP-XXXX-A: You…You motherfuckers…you were supposed to protect him!
MTFC Williams:We suppose he is being captured in a nearby base, the abduction took place just some hours ago.
SCP-XXXX-A: So fucking go and get him! Bring him back!
MTFC Williams: The problem is we don't know where they took him. We have a map with some Chaos Insurgency camps nearby but we want you to tell us if there are others we have not located or if they would take him to a particular one.
MTFC Williams showed the map to SCP-XXXX-A who quickly located 4 more camps the Foundation was not aware of.
SCP-XXXX-A: They probably took him here, it receives supplies tomorrow, they could use it to transport Sebas without lifting suspicions. They will probably send helicopters, bulletproof cars, and trucks in different directions, you will intercept them but the real one is the simple supply truck.
MTFC Williams:Thank you, we will deploy our forces immediately.
SCP-XXXX-A: Hey
MTFC Williams stopped and looked at SCP-XXXX-A
SCP-XXXX-A: If he isn't here in 3 days I'm gonna kill absolutely everyone in this place, so you better find him before that.
SCP-XXXX-A gave an innocent smile to MTFC Williams who proceeded to close the door of the containment cell
[END LOG]
Thanks to the data provided by SCP-XXXX-A SCP-XXXX-B was successfully recovered from the Chaos Insurgency after 14 hours. SCP-XXXX-B presented signs of various methods of torture, 3 of his fingernails were missing, 2 teeth were taken off its mouth via tweezers, his abdomen and face were covered in bruises and bumps, its nose was broken and one of his knees was broken via an impact with a blunt object. SCP-XXXX-B refused to talk to any member of staff before talking with SCP-XXXX-A. The following is their meeting after medical treatments were given to SCP-XXXX-B.

SCP-XXXX-B: I said nothing…I I I I swear I said nothing…Nothing….I…
SCP-XXXX-B cried for several minutes. SCP-XXXX-A caressed SCP-XXXX-B's head all the time.
SCP-XXXX-A: It's all right sweetheart…It's all right.
SCP-XXXX-B: I didn't talk…They asked about you and I said nothing
SCP-XXXX-A:I'm sorry, you don't deserve going through this.
SCP-XXXX-A started to cry while pressing SCP-XXXX-B's head against its chest.
SCP-XXXX-A: You gotta take care and recover…I'll be waiting for you.
SCP-XXXX-A grabbed SCP-XXXX-B's face and raised it lightly, staring at its wounds and the holes in its mouth..
SCP-XXXX-A:Those bastards are gonna pay…They'll pay, I swear.

When SCP-XXXX-B's health was considered stable it was sent home until it could go back to work. A medical exam was supposed to be carried out daily to observe its recovery and security was provided to prevent future capture attempts. SCP-XXXX-B's apartment was constantly monitored and its calls were recorded in case a GOI attempted to contact it.
The last voice recording of SCP-XXXX-B is the following.
SCP-XXX-B:Hello
Female voice:Good morning sir.
How can we help you?
SCP-XXXX-B:I wish to receive a Gold Package.
Female voice: Could you provide your member ID?
SCP-XXXX-B:████████
Female voice:Excellent, please go to the nearest door, we will attent you in a moment. Thank you for being a member at Dionysus's spa. We hope you have a great day.
When security entered SCP-XXXX-B's apartment, SCP-XXXX-B had disappeared. While examining the house the only items seemingly taken by SCP-XXXX-B were a wallet, a cellphone, and a wristwatch.
SCP-XXXX-B was deemed missing for 3 days before appearing inside Site 54's breakroom, it was saluting all foundation members it encountered and showed no signs of its previous wounds as well as new teeth. When MTF officers attempted to restrain SCP-XXXX-B a green light appeared from his wristwatch and disappeared in front of the MTF. Security in front of SCP-XXXX-A's cell affirms hearing SCP-XXXX-B's voice from inside the containment cell commenting "I told you it would work." when the door to the containment cell was opened both SCP-XXXX-A and SCP-XXXX-B were gone, for the following 25 minutes SCP-XXXX-B and SCP-XXXX-A appeared and disappeared from multiple Foundation facilities around the globe and took with them multiple SCP files and both safe and humanoid Euclid anomalies. Currently, their locations are unknown but it has been confirmed that both are currently members of
The New Horizon Initiative.
It is currently theorized that despite what it may seem, the individual known as
Joker and SCP-XXXX-B are two different individuals and the wristwatch used by SCP-XXXX-B during the containment breach is the refined version of
The Watch used by
Joker during event Nihgta-23. The reasons by which
Joker provided SCP-XXXX-B with
The Watch are still unknown.
The currently held theory for SCP-XXXX-B's desertion is that SCP-XXXX-A was capable of brainwashing or convince SCP-XXXX-B to join the Chaos Insurgency and steal foundation files and free SCP-XXXX-A from containment, the torture SCP-XXXX-B was made to endure was just a smokescreen to make the Foundation lower its guard when treating SCP-XXX-B.

Document XXXX/5759: O5's missive
If you are here you probably already know about the SCP-XXXX case, if you managed to become an O5 is likely you are also trustful enough to know about it. But there is more however, what you are about to see is only available for the highest and most loyal members of the Foundation, after all, right now, you are the Foundation.
SCP-XXXX-A's name is Sophia Aaliyah Kuznetsov Horváth, and she is the daughter of the man currently referred to as The Engineer.
Project MAU-78 is not only an attempt of the Chaos Insurgency to create super soldiers, it is their response to MTF TAU-5 (Samsara). Sophia is the Chaos Insurgency's ultimate weapon, a soldier capable of rivaling the SCP Foundation's best soldiers and clever and elusive enough to sneak and infiltrate any Foundation facility without being noticed. On top of all this, her multiple anomalous abilities and training make it impossible for us to erase or damage her memory or even extract information from her.
Maybe despite all the incidents that she and ECM Sebastian caused, the results are far from the worst scenario. Nonetheless, their active attempts to disrupt the Status Quo and widespread the knowledge and use of anomalous beings, entities, and technologies make them and The Horizon Initiative a threat that we can't and shall never take lightly.
The following are files not available in the regular document, it is recommended to view them to deepen your understanding of SCP-XXXX. We know you will understand what we had to do.
Interview XXXX/5 Video Log
Interviewer: O5-1
Interviewed SCP-XXXX-A
[BEGIN LOG]
The door of the containment cell opens.
Sophia: You…
O5-1: It has been a while, hasn't it Sophia? How has your father been doing?
Sophia: What do you want Calvin?
O5-1: I see that you are as nice as when you were little.
O5-1 laughs a bit
O5-1: I just wish to talk. You got yourself in quite a trouble, I'm sure the Engineer must be pulling his hairs out of his head.
Sophia remains silent, staring threateningly to O5-1
O5-1: I was hoping you would be warmer with an old friend, that a familiar face would…
Sophia: Just get to the point.
O5-1 laughs a little more.
O5-1: Some things never change, do they?.. But others…Others change in ways we can barely imagine…Like you. I remember when you were being trained, the chances of survival were minimum, to say the least, and yet you didn't flinch, never feared, you were a loyal member of the Insurgency, they trusted everything they got…On you.
Sophia: Just like they did with you. And here we are.
O5-1: I completed my mission but found a greater purpose, something greater than anything the Insurgency could ever give me. I had no choice. But you, a loyal, dedicating, outstanding member, an example of what a true member of the Insurgency should be…And yet, you just leave it all just… because.
I'm sure this isn't the first target that tells you he loves you, that is your job, after all, you charm them, seduce them, make their wildest fantasies a reality, make them succumb to your feet. So what changed?
Sophia: I found a greater purpose, just like you. I found a greater purpose, he gave me something the Insurgency could never give me and I gave him something the Foundation failed to give him as well.
O5-1: What would that be?
Sophia: Hope.
Sophia smiles lightly.
Sophia: Hope that I could be more than just a weapon, hope that things can be better. He isn't the first target that tells me it loves me, but he is the first one to actually care for me. For him I'm not a weapon, a tool, or a trophy, I'm…me and that is enough.
You are right Calvin, I was made men's greatest desire, a pretty face, coquette, kinky, and overall, easy. Men are such simple and mundane creatures, women well, we are more complex but in some cases, the trick would still do. You talk to me, flirt a bit, you make yourself a little difficult but at the end, you fall to their feet charmed by them, you become their toy for the night, they are so desperate, thrilled, and driven by desire, that they don't notice or just don't care about your intentions. And then…
Sophia hits the wall with her fist, leaving a small hole in it.
Sophia: You strike…They are so excited thinking they are the kings and queens of the world that they don't notice how you take everything from them..and they never suspect because for them you are just a toy that they can use and throw away, they play believing themselves to be the hunters when they are just little preys moving straight to your trap.
But for him…He would fall like the others…He did not want a trophy, he didn't want to be the king of the world, for him…I'm unique…I'm special but..at the same time, I'm just like anybody else…It still confuses me, how you can be ordinary and extraordinary at the same time but…For him, I'm that…He showed me that there is beauty in normal things, going to the supermarket, watching a movie, playing a videogame…I made all those things to gain his trust, to lower his guard…But I guess mine was the one let down… at the end I spent time with him not fulfill my mission, there were times I even forgot about it and just made excuses to spend a little more together.
O5-1: So you love before he treated you kindly?
Sophia: Because he treated me like a person, for him I'm nothing more or less, I'm just a person. The best person. You had someone like that, didn't you Calvin?
O5-1: That was a long time ago.
Sophia: But you know how it feels. To spend time with some, not because they will say anything exceptional or transcendental, but solely because you like the sound of their voice, the warmth of their skin.
Sophia smiles and closes her eyes.
Sophia: The brightness in their eyes…The sincerity in their smile.
Sophia stares at O5-1 with a grin.
Sophia: I could not hurt him because no matter how I tried I could not get myself to hate him…And in the end, he treated me so kindly that the only thing I could do was to return that warmth the best I could. Every day he was feeling down, angry, or demotivated…I would try to make his day better because he did the same with me, every time, without seeking anything in exchange, just…because he wanted to make me smile.
O5-1: I see…It is a heart-touching story I will admit that but…That doesn't tell why you gave yourself to the Foundation. It was also for him? You were somehow driven by raw love once more?
Sophia: I'm just here because he asked me to…We talked it through and…The Foundation and the Insurgency would find our little secret sooner or later…I don't like this place, you or your stupid overseer friends. But this was the only place they could extract that bomb and keep both of us safe..It's a sacrifice we are making to be together, right now he is doing everything in his hand to get me free, I'm sure. He is sacrificing himself for me, I can withstand being in containment and help you a while more.
O5-1: I do am impressed that he convinced of such a thing, considering your dislike ness of the Foundation. That has not changed a bit has it? But let us stop talking about your fairy tale romance, shall we? I want to offer you a deal.
Sophia: What kind of deal?
O5-1: Freedom. You see, the overseers are discussing the chances of you joining us.
Sophia:No.
O5-1: Let me finish first, please. If you accept to join us, you will be granted free movement around must areas at the facility and even outside given your non-anomalous appearance, you will be able to live with your boyfriend without the Insurgency trying to kill you.
In exchange, you help us, give us information about the Insurgency, borrow us your unique abilities, you will not be sent with the scum of Sigma-66 of course, you will be granted a MTF of your own. You will get paid and will only come to containment on rare occasions, medical exams, psychological examination, those sort of things. You said you came here because we could protect you and we will, you have my word, you will be granted the life you are seeking, your life will be yours.
Sophia: No. I would be a hypocrite if I ever accepted that deal. I could never look at him in the face if I accept a deal with the guys that make his life miserable.
O5-1: So selfless, how unusual on you. Why do you think he would get so mad? Isn't this exactly what you are looking for? I'm offering you a deal the council does not agree with, I told them I could convince you and make the best of this for all of us. I think this is exactly the scenario both of you are looking for. Protection and freedom to be together.
Sophia: You think that because you don't know him, you just read about him on reports. He would accept this deal because it would be the right thing to do not because he wants to.
O5-1: I'll give you some days to thinks about my offer, I will talk to Sebastian personally as well and since you two seem to get along so well, I'm sure he will manage to convince you.
Sophia:…I want him out.
O5-1: Excuse me?
Sophia: I want him out of the Foundation…If you want me here I want him out, I won't accept another deal.
O5-1:You've been so sympathetic with him all along, why change now? He might dislike the Foundation but has never made any attempt to leave it, wouldn't that…Hurt him?
Sophia: It would, It would surely do so but he saved me from the Insurgency, the least I can do is save him from you.
He will never ask for it and you will never see it reading reports or even talking to him, he is too nice.
Sophia giggles.
Sophia: I remember one time when he came home, all happy and smily. He kissed me, hugged and invited me to dinner…I said "Why so happy?" and he just smiled at me and said, "I helped someone today." The only reason he is taking all of this is because he actually believes he can help more people here than anywhere else…He does not care how self-destructive his work is…He just wants to help…But if my feelings for him are real…I can't let him do such a thing and leave in peace with myself…I will take him out of here either he wants it or not…Take him out..and I'm in.
O5-1: I will discuss your terms with the council.

In order to release ECM Sebastian from his duties amnestization is required but due to the knowledge ECM Sebastian possesses about the Chaos Insurgency and him being a key component to bargain and control Sophia the extraction of such information was considered a top priority.
However do to ECM Sebastian's unwillingness to talk, drastic measures had to be taken.
Alpha-1 Commander:Here he is.
Sebastian's screams and whimpers.
Alpha-1 Soldier:Tell us what you know!
Sebastian whimpers.
Sebastian: No…
Sounds of electrocution and screams.
Voice on the radio: SCP-XXXX already gave information on possible location, return him inmediatly. Did he talked?
Alpha-1 Commander:Negative.
Voice on the radio: Well, time's over. Abbort the mission. The radio turn off
Alpha-1 Commander:You little piece of shit. You think you can outsmart the Foundation?
Screams
Alpha-1 Commander:Now every time you smile to that whore you will remember me. Take him out!
▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔
Sebastian:Aaaand we are recording.
Sophia: Why are we recording this?
Sebastian:Because I want them to know what we did, how we did it.
Sebastian: They will hear this over and over and it will burn their insides with rage each time.
Sophia: What a meanie.
Sophia: Are you sure you want to do this? You'll win powerful enemies.
Sebastian: This is about doing what's right, I don't care who I have to face.
Sebastian: Besides, I want this to be a reminder of who they really are inside.
Sebastian: They will hate us, but they won't hate us for what we do.
Sebastian: They will hate us, because we'll make them look as the fools they are.
▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔
Sebastian:We did it!
Sophia: Hell yeah we did!
Sounds of kissing and things falling to the floor.
Sebastian: You shouldn't kill that many people though. Sounds of kissing continues
Sophia: I'm a loyal soldier of the Insurgency, I wouldn't doubt or allowed witnesses. I had a role to fullfil.
Sophia: And you made quite a scene saving those guards. That will surely confuse them.
Sophia:Needless to say…I like that brave and heroic attitude of yours and it turns out I have a fascination for heroes.
Kissing sounds continue and soft moans are heard.
Sophia:By the way, wa…wy did called yourself Joker? It isn't…for the videogame reference is it?
Sebastian:When they…When they hear our story…they will deam us of fools. What's the other name of Joker in card games?
Sophia:The fool…They will be fooled by the fool.
Sebastian:Precisely.
Chairs are moved and a heavy object hits the ground.
Sophia: You will record this as well?
Sebastian: I just want them to see our relaxation and happiness. They will hate it with all of their souls.
Sophia: Give me that. O5s, we defeated you hahaha!! Done, now lets celebrate my way.
▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔
Sebastian:Ok so..I want to discuss the plan again, just to make sure we have everything
Sophia: Right
Sebastian:We walk to the Foundation and surrender.
Sophia: I get contained and to protect me they will extract the bomb.
Sebastian: We tell our story, the true story, they won't believe it but we continue telling the truth.
Sophia: I give them just little aspects of myself so they will fill the need to continue reserach.
Sebastian:You don't say a thing until either I'm with you or you know I'm okay.
Sophia:I still doubt that will work as planned, you know what the Foundation is capable of, they will torture you if they have to.
Sebastian: I handed to them the Insurgency's greatest weapon and made it cooperative, I'll be a hero in their eyes. You don't torture heroes unless you are the villain.
Sebastian: They'll end in a dilema where they must torture for info but they can torture non of us.
Sebastian: After I helped them this much and proved my loyalty torturing me because they believe I know more than what I will be telling is too stretched for the Committee to approve.
Sophia: Then they will make your loyalty questionable. If you t
ell them you have known who I am for months and said nothing then you are not as loyal.
Sebastian: They will prosecute me for sure and will call me a fool and an idiot but not a criminal.
Sebastian: Because the only proves available are the facts that I helped you alter files for boths survival while I tried to convince for this
Sebastian: and that I didn't call the Foundation by fear of risking you, myself and overall, the Foundation itself.
Sebastian: As you wouldn't be as compliant as you are now.
Sebastian: There is no line of action, no precedents, they will tell all the things I could have done different, all the mistakes I made, I will be ridiculized and disciplined.
Sebastian: But I won't lose the trial, I will not get out untouched but victorious nonetheless.
Sophia:And if they try to harm you breaking their own rules?
Sebastian: they probably will, and they will pretend it was the Insurgency. That way you will get mad at them and give information to make them pay.
Sophia: And if they try to enrage me by…Killing you?
Sebastian: It would make no sense, I have a level 4 clearence, too much valuable info to loss with just a rage killing and for the Foundation
Sebastian: an asset to valuable to loss, they will torture me and mae me talk but they won't kill me. They will make themselves look like the heroes
Sebastian: Saving me from the hands of the Insurgency while getting all the info they need in the process and since I will give all they need, I won't be valuable any longer.
Sophia: Thus, dispensable..And I, enraged by the damage the Insurgency made both of us…Will become their soldier.
Sebastian: A fool prove plan and the most delicate part of ours, it will depend on my will to not talk despite torture. No rules, no plan B…You will have to trust me.
Sophia: And you must trust those aren't Insurgency soldiers. Its likely they will pretend I gave them the information so you fill powerless and fearful…Breakable.
Sebastian: That is why I need to you to tell them anything they ask, the sooner they see themselves as in control the sooner they will let me go.
Sebastian: Once free I'll be a hero once more, saying nothing to my captors and you, an anomaly that showed it is willing to colaborate.
Sebastian: Harmed and traumatized I will be given vacations to recover and security to prevent further kidnaps….Or to assure in case deemed necessary.
Sebastian: When I'm alone I'll call the Spa, take the watch and go rescue you.
[[/Sophia:…It is a risky plan…I don't like it…But I don't see other way.div]]
Sebastian: You called them?
Sophia: Yeah, you are a member now…Are you absolutely sure you want to do this?
Sebastian: They will found out sooner or later and if they do so without our telling then we are dead.
Sophia: But…Are you sure you want to do this? You will leave everything behind
Sophia: The spa won't only heal your wounds, you will outlive everyone you know…Only us will remain. If this doesn't work…Us I mean…You will do this for nothing.
Sebastian: It will work out…We will make it work…Just like we do now. It will be hard, but we'll surpass any obstacle, I'm sure.
Sophia:Why are you even doing this?…You could find another girl, someone who doesn't make risk your life or totally abandoning it.
Sebastian: I…I don't want anyone else. And the prove of that is that I'm willing to risk my life and abandon everything I got..For you.
Sebastian: I've been working for the Foundation for years, I've seen, made and read things that…I'm a monster.
Sophia:You aren't one, don't be dramatic.
Sebastian: Of course I am, I've murdered people in horrific ways by signing those papers, for not speaking up.
Seophia: You spoke and weren't whole, you wanted to help. You are not a monster.
Sebastian: But I never stopped, even though I should…I gave myself to the endless cycle of horrors that envelops the Foundation…But you…
Sebastian: You gave me hope…You showed me that there is a greater picture…That I can actually help.
Sebastian: You made me….Happy…And will never thank you enough for that.
Sophia sobs
Sophia: You are an idiot. You know?
Sebastian: But you love me that way.
Sophia:Yeah…yeah I do…
▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔
Sophia: Could you take that thing away and begin to pack!?
Sebastian:I need to record this. Say what happenned
Sophia: God damnit….The Insurgency knows, Ok!? Happy!? Done!
Sophia: Start the car, I'll go down in a sec! Damn it!
Soebastian: Shit…I hope we still have time.
▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔
Sebasian: Consider this a declaration of intentions.
Sebastian:Sebastian: I hate myself for saying this but…I won't avenge Ross..I won't avenge anyone I know if you murder them.
Sebastian:We are better than that…Better than you.
Sebastian: There will be…No…hard feelings.
Sebastian: We, The New Horizon Initiative, will stand against you all…Against all the horrors and pain you bring
Sebastian: We are not afraid to fight…But we want peace…So don't make unnecesary battles…We don't want the Foundation to be our enemy but we assure you you don't want us either.
Sebastian: It's undeniable some anomalies most be contained for the sake of us all, but some other should be allowed to live and thrive in a peaceful world.
Sebastian: Just like you we will study them, those deemed too dangerous will be sent to you or the GOC or with whom we consider capable of dealing with them appropriately.
Sebastian:I do hope that you will listen to us and understand our intentions.
Sophia: We will treat the Foundation as an equal.
Sophia: If either our relationship will be of hatred or companionhip is on you.
Sebastian: The world needs to change.
Sophia: We will bring that change.[/span]]
Sebastian: Regardless of what you do, you must know that this just the beggining.

What you are about to see is for the Ethics Committee Chairman only. This is an interview held between the SCP Ethics Committee Chairman and Sebastian.
Interview XXXX/12 Video Log
Interviewer: Gamal Mudarek
Interviewed: ECM Sebastian
[BEGIN LOG]
Sebastian: You are gonna be like the rest and ask the why?
Gamal: No. I want to know what you want to do.
Sebastian: I love her.
Gamal: But what do you want? Sophia is here and safe, you were trialed and walked out not guilty, what now?
The council and your fellow member tag you as a fool, someone who lifes in a fantasy where loyal spies abandon their ways because of love. They call you an idiot for believing the Foundation would actually allow you to live with her.
But I don't think you are a fool, you are quite clever in fact. Everyone who works directly with you says so, they say you are among the smartest members of the committee and I must say they are right. You scored above the average on most test, graduated with some of the best grades in your college, winned excellence awards in all school years, and even more, managed to get here.
It is easy for researchers to call us idiots, they are noble prize winners and brilliant academics but, there is something no college can give, an instict a natural cleverness, the reason by which some are called to join the committee and others don't.
Sebastian: That is why the committee hired me? Because I'm clever?
Gamal: Not only that, you are not afraid to talk, you are not affraid of the powerful, you have a romantic sense of justice. The Committee is getting…"too loyal" its members don't say the crimes made by the researchers because they are so used to them its just a regular day on the job to see 5 or 7 people die or tortured. It is for the greater good after all.
The Committee hired you to have "fresher looks", to speak when noone else wanted to. And you did an excellent job. Being honest I even had an eye on you, I think you might be an excellent chairman…Or even an O5.
Sebastian: Why are you telling me this?
Gamal: Because I don't believe a guy so clever and fearless will be content with his love one being imprissoned forever. What do you want to do? What are your plans? Speak with no fear, as Chairman I have my own problems with the O5, I don't like them either. Consider me a collegue.
Sebastian:I will free her just like Adam Bright wanted to free his daughter. But I will succeed.
Gamal: Why?
Sebastian: Because I won't be a O5, I'll be chairman…It won't be a isolated case though, I will free her and all other good anomalies. The Foundation keep people like Iris and Cactusman imprissoned for the crime of existing, they made nothing wrong.
Gamal: You want them to run free?
Sebastian: I want the world to accept them, to live in peace with them..This Foundation is just like Issac Asimov's Eternity.
Gamal: Elaborate.
Sebastian: The maximum expression of human greed and selfishness. We contain them because the world isn't ready for them, hide their existence completely and stop anyone who tries to expose them or us…Humanity will never learn to accept them if we don't let them do so. Just like the Eternity, we prevent progress, keep the world static…In long term that is always bad. The Foundation must change.
Gamal: Sigh I will tell you something, containing anomalies is just the first part of our plan, eventually we will let the world know about the anomalous but it must be a evolutionary and therefore, slow process. People need to be guided in every step of the way.
Sebastian: There are two major flaws in that argument. One, the Foundation has existent for centuries and not a single anomaly has voluntarily set free, when will that part two begin? If we just wait for a right moment it will never come, we gotta make it ourselves.
Secondly and with all do respect, who said you were the ones to guide us? Who gave you the right?
The Foundation will never act, because there is always fear of the unknown, there is always more to know about this things…There will never be a "Right time". We are gonna spend more decades of perhaps centuries pretending to study this things, some of them have been here for centuries and we still don't know what they do…We won't find out in two or twenty years from now.
And that leads to a third argument, a contradiction of the Foundation's ways, the anomalous must be contained because its dangerous, people could use them for harm, like the Chaos Insurgency or the Sarkics, yet we are somehow resposable and morally superior to all them and thus WE can have anomalous entities and weapons because somehow WE will never cause harm and all harm cause will be strictly necessary…Its just a basic argument with weapons, no one should have them because I can't trust they will use them responsably, so only I will have them in order to protect others and prevent others from causing harm. How do they know I will use them resposably? They gotta trust me.
What if the council get rogue? What if we jut turn evil for whatever?
Gamal: The Committee's job is to prevent that.
Sebastian: What if we fail?…Humanity is doomed…The O5 don't free anomalies because they thrill with the idea of being all mighty, knowing and powerful…When in reality they are just like me, like all of us…They make mistakes, they have flaws…But they just pretend they don't and punish anyone who tries to prove them wrong…And that…is a tiranny.
Gamal:So in order to stop this "Tiranny" you want to show all that the world can change. That we can coexist with anomalies. Humans can barely survive with themselves, they make wars for any little thing that is different…unfortunetely selfdestruction is part of our history.
Sebastian: I doesn't have to be…We can change…Perhaps knowing that their is something so different is what we need to notice and accept all things we have in common…it would be a hard and painful process…Some will die, surely, but change can be achieved.
Gamal: And if it doesn't?
Sebastian:It will.
Gamal: I respect you mister…I sure do, your ideas and ambition are impressive but…I must say, if you think a world where its people murder each other for having a different colored skin or religion…Then…You are indeed a fool.
Sebastian: Yeah…I'm pretty sure I am…But who cares? People like you, that stand on top and think the world is good as it is always think others who want change are fools….You would be called a fool if you told a villagers of the middle age that a man will walk on the moon without magic…Caveman would call you a fool if you told them the night will be as bright as the day…And yet, here we are. It doesn't matter to be called fool.
All changes start the same way, with hope, hope thinks will change for the better…It might take minutes, days, months, years or centuries…But change arrives there are flaws and mistakes are made over and over again…But that is how learning works…The massacres impulsed by raccism makes us value equality, the murder of other religious groups makes us thankful that we can practice our believes without fear now, people protect it because they know how horrible things can truly be….As horrible as it sounds, the pain caused during changes sets the basis for its progress..So it doesn't matter if either party fills pain, it should be the least possible though…and most importantly, the reason why all that pain is endured and used to make the basis of a better world is because the hopes for a better world aren't lost, people dream of it and crave it, they fight for it…And that is beautifil…Perhaps the must beautiful thing about the nature of changes in fact.
It doesn't matter your age, your education, money or social status, the only thing actually need for a change to start is a group of fools who dare to dream.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard Anomalous Item Locker at Site-196. When not directly viewed the object is inactive and no further procedures are required.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a hardcover book, 252 pages long. The front cover and spine are blank but the first page of the book features the title "Chapters on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy" with no extra information regarding the author, publisher or year, added. The book contains multiple chapters on psychological theory and practices ranging from meditation exercises to US Navy Seals techniques on keeping calm during a battle.
SCP-XXXX was discovered at the remains of a burned building in ████, ██████. The object came to the Foundation’s attention when field agents came across reports of a woman “miraculously” surviving a house fire completely unharmed. SCP-XXXX was found intact at the site.
WARNING: SECURITY IN SECTOR 2 HAS BEEN COMPROMISED. PERSONNEL NOT ASSIGNED CRITICAL TASKS ARE TO IMMEDIATELY SEEK SHELTER IN THE DESIGNATED SAFE ROOMS.
SCP-XXXX appears to be non-anomalous the vast majority of the time. SCP-XXXX starts to manifest its anomalous properties when 3 criteria are met:
- An individual must be in the same room as SCP-XXXX must be within line of sight of the object.
- A crisis situation in which the above mentioned individual is in a life threatening situation due to a hazardous environment or impending disaster.
- Subject must be in a state of high emotional distress.
WARNING: SCP-████ AND SCP-███ HAVE BREACHED CONTAINMENT. CODE 196/A/RED.
When all criteria are met, SCP-XXXX will render both itself and the subject immune to all forms of conventional and unconventional injury or harm. From this point on, the subject should be referred to as SCP-XXXX-1.
A secondary anomalous effect triggered during a crisis causes SCP-XXXX-1 to become completely apathetic to their surroundings and imminent danger. The subject, instead, displays mild boredom and will resume their task instead of trying to reach safety.
SCP-XXXX will cease its effects once both itself and SCP-XXXX-1 are no longer in immediate danger.
Third, an amnestic effect will trigger, erasing all memories of the crisis situation from SCP-XXXX-1; causing mild confusion when questioned.
WARNING: THE SITE IS EXPERIENCING MULTIPLE KETER AND EUCLID-CLASS CONTAINMENT BREACHES. FULL SITE-196 LOCKDOWN INITIATED.
Addendum:
SCP-XXXX TESTS SUMMARY
Foreword: Researchers are not to abort test, even when subject appears to be harmed. SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects only appear when subject is in actual danger. The Ethics Committee has provided approval for this protocol."
06/07/21
Test 3 (INCINERATION): D-class was instructed to enter a standard incineration chamber in which SCP-XXXX was placed beforehand.
Result: D-class experienced high emotional stress levels when gas filled the room. Emotional distress disappeared one second later. The subject looked briefly at the flames before sitting down on the floor with a sigh and started peeling his nails. When Researcher Dr L. Glasglow asked how the D-class felt during the incineration, he replied, “It’s okay.”
D-class left the room without sustaining any damage to himself and his clothes.
12/07/2021
Test 5 (SUFFOCATION BY SUBMERSION): SCP-XXXX was given to D-class to read in his cell. 15 minutes later the, cell was flooded with water.
Result: After an initial display of horror at the rising water level, the subject sat down on the bed and continued reading while the water rose to his nose.
D-class left the room with his clothes dry.
25/07/2021
Test 9 (ANOMALOUS AGGRESSORS): D-class was instructed to enter SCP-███’s containment chamber where SCP-XXXX had been left earlier that day.
Result: After a short moment of shock upon seeing SCP-███, the D-class sat down in the middle of the room. The D-class picked up the coloring book reserved for SCP-███ and started to draw with the crayons. SCP-███’s threats were ignored. SCP-███ began attacking the subject to no effect.
WARNING: SCP-███, SCP-███ AND VARIOUS OTHER MEMETIC AND CONTAGIOUS ANOMALIES HAVE BREACHED THE LOCKDOWN. “FINAL REST” PROTOCOL HAS BEEN INITIATED.
Addendum 2: SCP-XXXX
While preparing another test with SCP-XXXX, a sudden crisis situation emerged and SCP-XXXX’s effects were accidentally triggered. Dr L. Glaslow was caught in its effect as her colleagues left to counter the threat or seek shelter.
Even though she was instructed to seek shelter as well, the subject prioritized acquiring coffee and finalizing the documentation she had been assigned.
The subject did notice the guttural noises made when MTF-16-2 “Class Clowns” shot down infected D-class but ignored it. When instructed to stop, the subject continued to head for the coffee machine, finishing the document on her mobile phone. The subject felt no discomfort from the fire caused by SCP-███ or the mannequins that tried to strangle her.
WARNING: THE SITE 196 NUCLEAR DEVICE HAS BEEN TRIGGERED.
COUNTDOWN INITIATED:
10
9
8
The subject feels no discomfort as the nuclear device underneath her workplace was triggered and instead enjoyed a sip of good coffee while saving the final edits she made on the file.

Jane Phasma: Ex field agent who participated in an (unbeknownst to her) unauthorized experiment using SCP-████ to augment her cognitive abilities, stealth infiltration skills, and situational awareness. When the experiment was shut down, she was put into provisional containment and basically forgotten about. CI broke her out as a secondary objective during a raid on the Foundation Site containing her.
David Moors: Civilian nurse with anomalous healing abilities, these drain energy from himself and others when he uses them heal otherwise fatal injuries. Apprehended by the Foundation and put in containment. Forced to test abilities on injured D class, some injured by the Foundation specifically to have his abilities tested. Escaped containment through unknown means, though it is implied someone let him out and paid a heavy price. Contacted by CI immediately prior to a Foundation attempt to recapture him and accepted a position in exchange for assistance in avoiding it.
Mr. Echoes: High level reality bender who can cause multiple simultaneous manifestations of slightly different timelines and can manifest anomalous entities for brief periods. Unverified low level mind reading abilities. Enigmatic and implied to have history with the Foundation but this is intentionally left unclear. Has deep strategic insight due to his ability to perceive multiple potential outcomes to decisions with great detail (not full on clairvoyance, he doesn’t know what will happen, but has an incredibly good idea what might.).
Ramon Eyeballs: Ex MTF agent who left the Foundation and defected to the CI after seeing how the Foundation treated anomalies and, specifically, how his friend Katie Fellowes was treated. Anomalously augmented by CI to have extremely accurate vision and depth perception as well as limited resistance to visual cognitohazards. Can also visualize the effects of some cognitohazards on others and can extrapolate immediate future (<1 min) events that are in his line of sight.
Lida Lidare: A pterodactyl/bat like creature able to take the form of a somewhat short Latinx woman indefinitely and at will. Youngest of the group at 22. Somewhat resilient to damage in her avian form, but primarily useful as recon/sitrep. Able to mark targets with bioluminescent excretions, use echolocation in addition to heightened vision, and dive attack with talons and beak. Able to transport others in talons or on back but becomes exhausted quickly when doing so. Grew up in an anomalous cult which was raided by the Foundation. She escaped the raid and was recovered by a nearby CI team monitoring the situation.
Katie Fellowes: Ex MTF marksman with record setting mission stats. Discovered to have anomalous ability to briefly manipulate time relative to an individual within line of sight (time literally slows down for a few seconds when she takes a shot). Contained by the Foundation for nine months during which time she was shunned, dehumanized, and abused by former colleagues and subjected to minimal but somewhat invasive testing.
Green Rivers: Very high level reality bender. Formerly a GOC operative who defected to the Foundation due to an objection to the GOC’s preemptive termination of non hostile anomalies. Defected to the CI as the Foundation’s willingness to employ anomalous personnel was significantly reduced and as they observed the effects of long term containment on anomalous people. Uses they/them pronouns but does not take offense to she/her when used by those who don’t know.
Malcolm Constant: SCP Foundation Special agent assigned to Resurrection by his own request with endorsement from Dr. Clef. Has personal history with anomalous people that leads him to both be sympathetic to their treatment and highly skeptical of their loyalty, though this is not explored in depth. He is on Lambda 2 and, while unaware of Tav-666, is a source of intel and often indirectly acts on their behalf during operations.
The group (not Constant) has been together for about 4 years and are close friends. They have issues with the CI’s methods but had never seriously thought about returning until they became aware of Project Resurrection. The main thing they don’t want to give up is being treated like regular people rather than gods or monsters, though avoiding some of the more stifling aspects of Foundation culture is also a concern.
The scene in the motel room was like something out of an indie comic book crossed with an old pulp detective novel. A group of anomalous humans gathered around a small wooden table in a dim and dingy motel room in the middle of nowhere. It even had the obligatory broken ‘no vacancy’ sign out front, intermittently casting a dull neon orange glow on the asphalt as the word ‘no’ flickered in and out of existence.
The labyrinthine irony of the situation was palpable. Everyone present was a member of a secretive and conspiratorial cabal born of an even more secretive and conspiratorial international organization and they were having a secret meeting to plan a conspiracy, but this was the first time most of them had really ever felt like they were actually “secretly conspiring” about anything.
Though the atmosphere had been tense since they’d begun arriving, there had been friendly banter sprinkled throughout. But now that they were all present and sitting around the table, silence had taken over the conversation. Jane Phasma was the one to break it. “So, are we all really considering this? I mean there’s like a 75% chance here that most of us end up in containment cells and the rest end up dead.”
“Yeah,” responded David Moors, putting down his half empty can of Dr. Pepper and looking around the table, “but if we don’t there’s about a 90% chance that we all end up dead and a real possibility that the entire goddamn world goes down with us.” This point was not lost on the group and they paused a moment to let it sink in.
“Fair point.” Said the oft-silent Mr. Echoes, his tone as difficult to read as always. “But that may be unavoidable no matter what we decide.”
“What do you mean, that we all end up dead or that the world does?” Asked Phasma.
“Yes.” Was all Echoes said back.
“Ok, we all know why we’re having this little chat” interjected Ramon Eyeballs, trying to sound calmer than his friends knew he truly felt inside, “but I think we need to seriously discuss the how before we decide anything.”
“Meaning what exactly?” Asked Katie Fellowes in an unashamedly nervous tone, the slight shakiness of her voice surprising most of the group.
“Meaning” Ramon answered, not drawing attention to his friend’s apparent trepidation, “that if we surrender to the Foundation at the wrong site or even at the wrong time of fucking day, we end up dead. If we don't screw up, we probably end up in containment. But there’s a chance, a tiny fucking little chance, that if we get this exactly right and get more than a little lucky… we end up in a much better situation than most of us have been in our entire lives. That we actually get to do something good.”
“‘Good’ is extremely relative.” said Echoes, sounding vaguely dour, but not dismissive.
“Yeah, but you know what he means.” Lida Lidare chirped, both nervous and excited.
“I suppose so.” Answered Echoes in a slightly wistful tone, showing more emotion than any of the group had ever seen from him before; though it was still barely perceptible.
“This Alpha-9 thing feels different.” Sighed Phasma. “Last time the Foundation tried this it was a half-crazed war hawk trying to turn anomalous people into weapons. This feels more like honest introspection, like the Foundation is actually taking a good look at their fundamental paradigms and asking some hard questions. That’s what we wanted in the first place!”
“But that’s not really in their nature. We all know that.” Said David, his expression a mix of sadness and fear.
“Right, but I think this really is different. Everything’s changing and the Foundation withdrawing into itself, choosing to just keep their heads down and do their thing as Jailers, is only making it worse. They know they need to change, the O5s just aren’t really sure how to do it.” Said Phasma.
Green Rivers had been watching this all, uncertain what to say. Now, they decided to speak up. “Politics has paralyzed the anomalous world. The Foundation, the GOC, UIU, even the Hand are all playing their little games; treating our universe even more like a chess game than usual. The Foundation is the only one that seems to be realizing what the potential stakes of that ‘game’ really are.” She had the room’s full attention. “The Foundation knows that it risks a near-total collapse; that they risk this both by inaction and through any action they take. They know that if they go down, we all go down, and that none of their ‘reset buttons’ are going to help for much longer.”
While they were far from authoritarian, Green’s voice was always authoritative. They had much more experience with the greater anomalous community and its various intricacies than the rest of those assembled and all present were fully aware of that. They had also earned the team’s undying respect many times over.
“So where does all that leave us?” Asked Katie.
“Well, ultimately it’s all going to come down to the Global Occult Coalition and the SCP Foundation. The GOC seems to be more worried about the Foundation starting to take an active role in things than they are about the exponential increase in anomalous activity driving that change. The Coalition basically still thinks it can just blow up anything that’s too scary. The Foundation may want to just lock anything like that up, but it’s starting to realize it probably can’t, at least not for much longer. The Insurgency is essentially just acting at the behest of the Engine at this point and, to be honest, I’m not sure even the Engine itself knows what its own endgame really is, if it even has one. The Hand is, as always, impenetrably opaque and obsessively esoteric. They don’t really care what happens to this reality, though they’d probably rather it wasn’t totally destroyed.” Rivers was speaking more directly than any of their friends had ever heard. None of them knew quite what that meant, but they were hanging on Green's every word. They continued, “Where that leaves us, us in this room, is in a uniquely difficult position; between a rock and half a dozen hard places. I think, in this case, the rock is our only real choice.”
“So you think going back is the right call?” Asked Phasma, genuinely unsure what to make of Green’s position.
“I think it’s the only call.” Rivers replied stoically. “We know what’s coming, what’s already here. We know that the Black Moon is waking up and that the Foundation can no more lock it away than the GOC can destroy it or the Insurgency can control it. But, and this is why my answer to Jane’s question is ‘yes,’ the Moon’s Howl can either be an agent of change, or one of destruction. I think that the Foundation is the only group of significance that knows they can’t stop it, that they need to manage that change and try to dampen the Howl, to hand out as many earmuffs as they can, so to speak, and lessen the impact it will have on the uninitiated before that Howl is finally heard by the world at large.”
“They are beginning to accept that lifting the veil a bit is preferable to having it torn off completely.” Echoes asserted, softly yet definitively.
The group looked at each other nervously. They all knew that there were no good decisions, but a decision needed to be made and made now. A vote wasn’t necessary, they had been friends and colleagues long enough to read each other. They were going back. The question was exactly how to do that without ending up totally screwed.
Fortunately, Phasma seemed to have an answer to that. “Let me make a phone call.”
“You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me!” Snapped Dr. Alto Clef. “You’re seriously considering this?!”
“Why not?” Asked Light, her demeanor was both aloof and deadly serious at the same time which was royally pissing Clef off, mostly since that was his thing. She continued “They’ve basically already been operating as an Alpha Nine team.”
“Because the fucking Chaos Insurgency is a bunch of traitorous lunatics who are acting as terrorists on behalf of an anomaly that literally seeks only to spread Chaos!” Clef was nearly shouting, he was aware that he was being uncharacteristically emotional, but he had his reasons and Light knew it. “It’s in the goddamn name for fuck’s sake!”
“Agreed. I’m not proposing we seek some sort of detente with the CI. I’m saying we need to seriously consider letting these specific insurgents come back in from the cold.” Sophia shifted her tone to a more direct and genuine one now, shedding the levity of her previous statements and letting her colleague know that she wasn’t just having a bit of fun with him, that she truly felt this was important. “The fact that the insurgency seems to be terrified of what we’re trying to do with Resurrection is probably a good thing. The fact that some of their best people seem ready to fully embrace it is almost certainly even better. We both know that not everyone who turned insurgent did so for the wrong reasons; hell, even their leadership knows that a good chunk of their people never really switched sides, just employers. These particular traitors also know something that’s absolutely vital to the goals of Resurrection: that big changes are coming and we all need to adapt to survive it.”
“If you’re trying to assuage doubts about this project, adding insurgents to the team is not likely to help.” Said Clef, calmer now with an edge of something approaching resignation creeping into his voice. He knew that his workload, his real workload, was about to become exponentially more complicated. Though, he supposed, at least it would also be a bit more interesting,
“I know, but I have full confidence in Tav-666 to keep this under control.” Light replied.
“Fuck you Sophia.” Clef shot back, somewhat jovial, but not hiding the fact that the remark had actually angered him. “Rivers is a high level bender who went from the Coalition to the Foundation to the Insurgency. She’s a traitor twice over. Echoes is… problematic on more levels than I can count. And those aren't even the only members of this little scout troop that’re potentially Keter.”
“So we bring them into the old Site 975. Set it up as a communal containment facility with SRA shielded failsafes. We bring in psych and counterespionage specialists to get to the truth of it and containment and neutralization specialists to determine our options if it’s a no-go. We’re even cleared to use SCP-████ if it’s needed. Worst case scenario, we look a little worse than we already do and we take out at least a few high level insurgents in the process. Any intel the CI could glean is information they clearly already have. Best case scenario, we get an entire team of highly skilled personnel, including a former GOC special operative with Foundation training and a few all star ex-MTF agents who would all have been prime candidates for Alpha 9 if they hadn’t defected.” Light was starting to realize she’d convinced herself. She could see in his face that Clef was realizing that as well, he seemed to calm down slightly as he accepted the inevitability of what would happen next.
“This is the worst goddamn idea since this project got the greenlight. It’s all but guaranteed to blow up in our faces and claw back any progress we’ve made so far.” He let that linger for a moment before sighing and continuing “I’ll have our people start working on an overhaul of 975. You better hope I don’t get a termination order before you can bring them in.” He wasn’t joking and they both knew it. While Overwatch had given them more than enough rope to hang themselves with, there was no guarantee that they wouldn’t suddenly decide to just tighten the noose themselves; bringing a bunch of defectors back into the fold and almost directly onto an Alpha 9 team was as likely to prompt that as anything.
Sophia Light smiled. She wasn’t entirely sure wether she’d just killed the project or given it a major boon, but that was a feeling she was getting used to these days.
“Jesus fucking christ, cherry pie and coffee? Seriously?!” Asked Phasma, her expression a mix between amusement and genuine annoyance.
“I’m having Boston cream. It’s really good!” Lida said, not catching the reference.
“Coffee, it sweetened with amnestics?” Asked Ramon, only half joking.
“No, we save that particular blend for the post debrief break.” Senior Agent Adams responded, also only half joking.
“The food and coffee’s clean” asserted Echoes, “though a Twin Peaks reference seems remarkably appropriate to me.
“You watch TV?!” Asked Katie, somewhat incredulous, the revelation turning most of the heads at the table, Foundation ones included.
“No, but I sometimes watch David Lynch.” Replied Echoes, “The nature of our situation would make an excellent subject for one of his short films.” Echoes was full of surprises lately it seemed.
“I’ll see if I can get him L1 observer access next time.” Said specialist Constant, his voice sounding less than entirely sarcastic as he secretly imagined an O5 recap briefing that was literally Lynchian for a change. “Can we get down to it?”
Green Rivers was the one to break the awkward silence that followed. “Very well. If what we’ve heard is true, we are interested in returning to the Foundation, providing we are assigned to Project R… to your new project. We will provide information on CI actions taken against you recently along with other actionable intelligence and offer our substantial services in furtherance of your project’s goals. All we ask in return, essentially, is that you cease treating us as objects to contain and accept that we are people; people who can contribute greatly to your cause. It seems like a fair trade I would think, given the circumstances.”
“What circumstances are you referring to?” Constant shot back immediately, not allowing the magnitude of what he had just heard to catch him off guard.
“The exponential growth of the anomalous and the potential imminent collapse of the veil. As well as the Foundation’s willingness to accept… certain reforms… in the name of addressing this impending sea change.” Replied Green, her directness taking everyone at the table a bit off guard.
“You do realize that even if we accept everything you say as true, we’d need to treat you as anomalous prisoners until we can verify it all several times over?” Said Constant.
“Yes, we can accept temporary imprisonment. But…” Green was interrupted by Fellowes, “But we’re not going back into little fucking boxes, filed away underground somewhere. We will not be things again!”
“Look, if you know anything about what we’re doing here, you know that's a big part of why we’re even entertaining this possibility. But we aren’t the Insurgency. There are rules, there is an ungodly amount of bureaucracy, there is procedure, there is oversight, and there are internal politics.” Said Adams. “The Foundation knows things need to change, sure, but the amount, speed, and nature of that change is still very much a matter of… fierce debate.”
“You realize, of course,” said Foxx, “is near certainty your superiors are becoming aware of what you are planning. Yes?”
“Of course.” Said Echoes. “We assume they will either try to kill us or watch and see what happens. Since that is precisely what we expect from you, that leaves us with little to lose. At least Foundation wetwork tends to be quick and relatively painless, unlike our erstwhile colleagues’ methods.” He said this directly to Foxx, seemingly aware of his background though the two of them had never crossed paths.
The SCP Foundation personnel exchanged deep glances, their CI counterparts weren’t sure if they were communicating anomalously or not, but the result was very much the same, a preliminary deliberation was being made. “We’ll let you know by tomorrow. If the answer is ‘no’ you won’t see it coming. If it’s a ‘yes,’ don’t put up too much of a fight when the raid starts.” Was Adams’ answer. She was not sure what to make of this situation, in all honesty, but she knew a very intense and very long briefing was imminent. “I’ll take another red eye to go and can you box up one more slice of that boston cream for our friend here?” Lida smiled at that, causing Adams to have some flashbacks and to shoot her a mildly enigmatic but warm smile.
Soon the large corner booth was empty again and the sound of literal and figurative wheels spinning reverberated through the desert air.

The mood around the folding table is… less than jovial. Not dejected exactly but definitely uncertain about their situation.
Phasma finally blurted it out. “I’m starting to remember why we left.”
David replied “It’s not as bad though. Like we aren't confined to our cells 24/7 and they let us talk like this. Hell, I think this is even the regular cafeteria food, not the D class shit.”
“That’s a pretty damn low bar.” Said Ramon. “I’m not sure about this honestly. I mean at least some of those debriefings were full on pre-containment interviews, you all know it.”
“Right, but they didn’t give us the runaround. I remember my last ‘pre-containment interview’ and it wasn’t until the last few questions that I started to get that feeling something was off.” Said Katie. “This time, they didn't try to hide the fact that those sessions were meant to see how difficult it would be to contain me if this all goes to shit.” She continued. “That honesty counts for something. I mean… not a lot… but something. I’m not used to the Foundation being straightforward about anything.”
“Quite. This is all exactly as it appears.” Said Echoes. “I find that… strange.”
“Indeed.” Said Rivers. “They seem to be going out of their way to make it clear that they’re legitimately considering this but also overtly conveying that it is still the Foundation; that they view us as a potential threat to contain. It’s definitely… well, it's different than it would have been seven years ago; even one.”
“I’m not saying I’m having second thoughts exactly” said Lida, “but my doubts have definitely increased. Though David’s right, the food is solidly decent.”
They shared a brief moment of levity, which was all too quickly punctuated by the sound of an explosion followed by gunfire erupting just outside the compound.
Within seconds, Foundation security had their weapons leveled at their prisoners’ heads and were barking orders.
“Back to your cells. NOW!”
“Go ahead, give me a fucking reason!”
“Your buddies aren’t getting you back that easy!”
“I knew this had to be a fucking setup! MOVE!”
It didn’t take a skilled anomalous operative to figure out what was happening. The group was, however, composed of exactly that. A point made abundantly clear seconds later when the Foundation guards collapsed in unison as their eyes rolled back in their heads.
“Fuck, did you kill them Green?!” Asked Katie, seemingly more worried about that than the approaching gunfire.
“No, they are unconscious and will remain so for an hour or two. Anyone actively influenced by the Red Right Hand protocol will think they’re dead.” They replied matter of factly. “We can’t let them take this facility. No matter how bad things are now, they’ll only be ten times worse if we get dragged back.”
David, Ramon, Phasma, and Katie each grabbed an MP5 from one of the unconscious guards. Green hastily cast a basic ward around them. Echoes’ form started to waver as he readied his abilities for active use. Lida’s body quickly shed its human appearance and took on her natural avian form, shaking out her taloned legs as her wings stretched to their full length before folding neatly back at her sides. They moved in formation towards the shots and screams rapidly growing in intensity the closer they became.
As soon as visual contact was made, Echoes disappeared. Those armed with conventional weapons laid down covering fire as Green unleashed a barrage of psychic projectiles, simultaneously altering the air around the attackers into what seemed from their perspective like gelatin. The assault team dropped to the ground almost immediately.
“Fuck, that was too easy.” Snorted Ramon. “They should know what we’re capable of. Even if they weren’t expecting us this soon, they should have been able to mount at least some level of defense.”
The team moved through the corridors of the provisional site. Some they recognized, some they had never seen. They all knew the conventions of a Foundation facility though, and they were able to reach the access point to the inner perimeter with little difficulty.
“This is wrong,” Echoes’ voice came from nowhere in particular, “the Foundation guards I’ve seen appear more concerned with keeping the attackers out than with keeping us in.”
“It’s been a while, but they also seem a bit more on edge than usual.” Said Katie, unsure what to make of this. “Do you think they’re really that spooked?”
“I’d say they’re being manipulated, but I can’t sense a specific source.” Said Rivers. “Be on guard.”
“I’m not seeing any signs of a coghaz,” offered Ramon, “though I wouldn’t necessarily see that if the exposure was telepathic.”
Green only nodded. The group moved down the hallway towards the junction ahead. Just as they breached the second set of security doors, Ramon shouted “down!” a split second before the concrete wall behind them shattered into dust. “I can’t see the shooter, not coming from a guard tower though.”
A second round tore through David’s left shoulder, after a few seconds the wound had not yet begun to heal. “Fuuuuuck! T-shredders!” He yelled, referring to thaumaturgically enhanced AP rounds.
“I see him. Let’s find out if the asshole is faster than he is accurate.” Shrieked Lida as she flew up and forward into the night in a corkscrew spin. A third shot rang out but missed them entirely, arcing up into the night and impacting in the desert a kilometer away. Shortly after, a body fell from the sky and a heavily modified Barrett antimatiriel rifle clattered to the ground nearby.
A wicked grin crossed Katie’s face as she dove for the rifle, scooped it up in a roll, and came up into a kneeling position. “Paint me some targets Li!” She screamed into the night air. Seconds later the outline of three additional assault troopers became visible as they were splattered with bioluminescent guano. Within a second, all three were down and the Barrett was smoking.
Just as they began to consider their next action, a squad of Foundation security came into view from their left, apparently in hot retreat as they fired on a much larger force of insurgents advancing on them. Green wasted no time throwing up a barrier in front of their captors, allowing the guards to withdraw to Green’s own position rapidly. One pointed her sidearm at their head and shouted “On the ground, now!” This was immediately followed by another grabbing her weapon by the barrel and quickly pointing it at the floor as he shouted back “Are you fucking kidding me! That’s a combat trained bender who just saved our asses. Don’t shoot unless she resists when this shit’s all over.”
Before the first guard could mount any protest, a voice on the wind shouted “incoming! Two more teams! fifteen each, both directions.” Katie emptied the Barrett’s clip, eliminating the remainder of the insurgents already at their position.
“Where the fuck did you get that?! Nevermind, you out?” Barked the security team leader. “Yeah, armory nearby?” Replied Katie. “Not with anything that can chamber.” He answered grimly.
The team approaching from the right arrived first. Just as they opened fire, the corridor erupted into a hellscape of impossible movement. The walls spasmed feet at a time, obliterating anyone they touched. Dozens of Foundation security, identical in appearance to the team already present, fired hundreds of shots from a seemingly infinite number of positions, taking out all but four of the assaulting team. Two of the attackers’ eyes melted as they dropped dead and the other two turned to dust as they attempted to flee. That last trick was Green, already running towards the scene as it collapsed back in on itself while the sound of infinite voices screaming faded and Echoes reappeared, quickly falling to the floor. They just barely caught him and immediately placed him against the now solid again wall, before piling the bodies of several insurgents atop him and returning to the group. “He’ll be fine in a few minutes, but he’s not bulletproof until he wakes up.” Was all she said to the bewildered and somewhat terrified Foundation security team.
Before any of them could ask any of the million questions popping up, the other attack force appeared. Unlike the others however, this team had three at the front in full power armor tearing the floor apart as they approached with Gatling guns drawn.
“The seven at the rear are just meat. The ones flanking the heavies are t shielded but nothing you can’t handle. The heavy on the far right’s primary will jam after 37 rounds but they have a backup that will open up on you about four seconds later. It’ll be close Green!” Ramon shouted as Green Rivers charged screaming into the opposing ranks.
The unshielded attackers opened fire on each other as their comrades seemed to turn into class B demonic hostiles. Green threw another swarm of psychic projectiles at the remaining team, dropping most of the shielded operatives and doing minor damage to one of the heavies. They dropped into the fetal position and threw up a bubble just as the heavies opened fire with their heavy ordinance. A demi sphere of lead formed around Green's shield as it began to falter. Just when the bubble neared collapse, a deafening roar filled the hallway as a sandstorm of seemingly impossible intensity blew through the exterior doors and moved towards the power armored attackers. As the sand began to break down the mechanical joints on their frames, green dropped her shield and unleashed a wave of cyan energy propelling the remaining sand through the attackers as she was hit by several dozen bullets before the guns fell silent. The heavies hit the broken concrete floor at the same time as Rivers.
“Green!” Shouted David as he dashed toward his friend’s crumpled form. He looked up at his companions, tears in his eyes, but an expression more of pleading than sorrow. They all nodded solemnly. Katie looked at the security team leader and said “y’all won’t die, but it’ll hurt. A lot. Sorry.”
Before the Foundation veteran had a chance to respond, the entire group collapsed, writhing in agony, on the floor as a yellowish glow emerged from David’s chest. The last thing they saw before losing consciousness was the body of operative Green hovering a few feet in the air, glowing bright yellow as the light streaming from her companion’s chest increased in intensity, and then slamming back to the ground, leaving a swarm of bullets hanging in the air. David collapsed at Green’s side and the facility grew quiet again.
“It’s too convenient. By far.” Fox barked. “Had to be a setup.”
“I‘d think so too but something feels off.” Replied Clef.
“Da, because it’s a setup.” Foxx answered, less smug than insistent.
“No, not that. Something else.” Light said, her voice trailing off a bit as she exchanged a worried glance with Clef.
“She’s right Alexi. The tactics don’t make sense.” Said Adams. “The first wave could be a setup, no question. Against those targets that offensive would be all but guaranteed to fail. But the second wave was a feint. Looks like they were drawing our primary response away from the exit corridor. Sniper was meant to pin them down while they executed a pincer on the junction and dropped the hammer.”
“So you think it was a legit termination mission?” Asked Foxx, doubt still evident in his voice. “Why would they leave the actual door mostly uncovered then? They had to know one sniper with some support troopers, even with T shredders, wasn't going to be able to drop that whole team. The obvious answer is they knew nobody would try to run. Both the attackers and the targets wanted everyone to stay right where they were.”
“What about the response irregularities?” asked Constant. “It didn’t look like an inside job but the whole damn security detail seemed like they’d forgotten their breach training. I’d almost say it looked like…” At this point Vaux entered the room holding a Manila folder. “Jesus Vaux, were you waiting in the hallway for the most dramatic time to come in?!”
“What are you talking about?” He asked, sincerely a bit taken aback. “I have the report on those energy signatures Director.”
Light took the folder from her assistant and looked over the document. Her eyes widened and she handed the papers to Clef, who clenched his own eyes tightly, sighed, and passed them to Foxx.
“Fuck. There goes that theory.” Said Foxx.
“What?” Asked Adams.
“Aside from the low level thaumaturgic field that seems to have flooded the inner and outer containment buffers, there was a type seven or eight stealthed portal about five feet from the door. If they’d tried to run they’d have been scooped up and taken… somewhere. We can’t get readings any more specific from what we recovered.” Light answered. “Also explains the suits.”
“They were Mark I prototypes. CI could easily have a few of those lying around. Hell MC&D auctioned off some like that about a year back. Not sure about a portal that strong though.” Foxx said.
“Could be a very convincing fake recovery op, yeah. But I think we all know where this is going.” Said Adams.
“This wasn’t a CI op, it was a GOC false flag.” Said Sophia Light, an edge of dread creeping into her voice.
“So the good news is our defectors are probably legit.” Said Constant. “The bad news is they may have just sparked off another goddamn occult war.”
“I’d think you know by now what the limits of ‘better to beg forgiveness’ are on this project director.” O5-7 was stern but not exactly accusatory.
“I hadn’t cleared them yet. I wouldn’t do that without checking in. But we have some inf…” Eight cut her off “you should have checked before bringing Green into one of our sites.”
“975 was effectively decommissioned and we had approval to retrofit it. 975-A was specifically designed and configured to provide temporary containment for this team without risking wider security concerns if it was breached.” She blurted that out, while she’d expected an informal dressing down over this, she hadn’t expected the O5s to think that’s why she was calling. That was a potential problem. If they didn’t know…
“What was the information you wanted to share director? We can discuss this in detail when you submit your full report.” O5-10 was unavailable the previous day or Light would have already told her about the report.
“Thank you ma’am. I’ll get right to it. We are reasonably certain that the assault on 975-A was a GOC false flag operation.” She expected the silence that followed, she did not expect One to be the person to break it.
“You believe the Coalition attacked one of our sites and attempted to blame the Chaos Insurgency? Solely to terminate these prisoners?” O5-1 seemed doubtful but Director Light could tell that the truth of her previous statement had already been accepted by everyone on the call.
“Transmitting the reports now. But yes, we believe that it was an attempt at neutralizing this group of PoIs before they could be reintegrated or put into containment. I don’t believe they would have gone this far for Green alone, especially absent a connection to Resurrection.” Light knew the post breach reports, now supplemented by intel she’d called in some big favors to get ahold of, spoke for themselves.
“You seriously think they’d risk a war over these people?” Asked Eight, less disbelieving than upset. “They had to know we’d figure this out.”
“I’m not so sure.” Light answered quickly, “I think they underestimated the cohesion of this team and focused all but the entirety of their plans on handling Green and Echoes. The others are what allowed those two to have maximum effect, I doubt even someone with Rivers’ power levels could have taken down three suits without support. If they’d moved the targets out via portal, even dead, we wouldn’t have had anything but a vague suspicion.”
“What happened with her and Moors?” Asked Nine, seemingly out of genuine curiosity.
“From what we can tell, Green knew that they weren’t going to be able to handle three suits without opening themself up to massive damage.” Light grew quieter and continued “it looks like they were willing to sacrifice themself for the team, though they also probably counted on Moors to step in if he survived the attack himself.”
“Fox’s initial assessment was right, this seems too convenient.” Said Eight. “I mean this is another example of an unplanned emergency serving as an absolutely perfect test for a prospective Alpha 9 team. If there’s nothing else to it, I’d say there’s at least a significant probabilistic anomaly at play here.”
“‘Remarkably improbable’ isn’t always the same as ‘a probabilistic anomaly’.” Asserted Nine. “Besides, given the nature of this project and the forces arrayed against it, the timing of these attacks doesn’t actually seem that improbable to me.”
“If this was the CI” replied Light, “I’d agree that this had to be either a set up or an inside job, but the GOC wouldn’t go this far without genuine cause and, to be frank, if it was an inside job it would have gone off much better.”
“I believe this was as it appears to be based on your preliminary report. That troubles me greatly.” Said Two
“That sentiment has been coming up a lot lately.” Clef chimed in. “I don’t look forward to the added workload it puts on Tav triple six, but I have to agree with Sophia that this wasn’t a setup. Probably.”
“I’m surprised to hear you say anything positive about an insurgent Dr Clef.” Five said, their tone conveying something like ‘subdued incredulity.’
“As am I.” Replied Clef with a quiet acquiesce. “But this team was ready to fight to the death to defend that site, knowing full well they were likely to end up in containment even after a success. I absolutely intend to keep several dozen eyes on them, more than a few looking through scopes, but at this time I am convinced that their offer is genuine.”
The Overwatch Council muted their comms as they deliberated. After a few agonizingly silent moments, a blue led quickly flashed 7 times, indicating a non-unanimous vote but a unified response with no dissenting comments was inbound, and the speakers came back on.
“Further investigation of this incident will be handled by Tav-666 via Lambda 2 in conjunction with agents from Alpha 1 and Epsilon 11. You are ordered to promptly comply with any request they make. In the meantime… you are provisionally cleared to proceed with formation of a probationary Alpha 9 team. We don’t want any of these new… transfers… within 100 kilometers of Sites 19 or 17, but otherwise their containment is temporarily entrusted to you director.” The mechanical voice droned.
Light briefly considered asking if having members of Alpha 1 involved was a good idea considering the identities of some of this team, but decided to just go with “thank you. I will have additional reports available to all of you as soon as we have anything worth reporting.”
As the two directors emerged into the hallway and Clef gave agent Adams a summary of events, the younger woman couldn’t help but laugh.
“What’s so funny?!” Asked Clef, unsure what to make of her response.”
“We already had staff secretly calling Alpha 9 'X-Men' and 'Avengers'” she giggled, “now we’ve basically thrown the Suicide Squad into the mix.” She kept laughing. “No wonder we have a backlog of IT staff applying to the project.”
Even Clef had to chuckle a bit at that before sobering up and commenting “well, now that you mention it, bomb implants might not be the worst idea.”
“The atmosphere has changed” said Ramon between bites of a solidly decent eggplant calzone, “there’s still a lot of anger and fear, even hate, but something else I can’t quite place.”
“Awe?” Offered Lida. “As in ‘wow, these prisoners are awesome!’” The return of her slightly silly demeanor had done more to improve the group’s morale than the gradual easing of restrictions ever could.
“Some confusion and uncertainty as well” added Echoes, his voice still fading in and out a bit from the recovery process.
“Yes.” Said Rivers. “None truly know what this shifting Foundation will lead to. Some fear the structure will collapse, others just don’t know how to process the change. I’d also imagine the direct involvement of O5 in the investigation has them on edge.”
“That guard who drew on you in the hallway keeps sneaking these looks at you Rivers. I can’t tell if she wants to beat you to death or fuck your brains out.” Laughed Phasma, knowing full well that Green was blushing a bit inside but would never show it.
“I imagine probably both. Likely at the same time. Though I’m sure the extensive debriefing they’d put her through will prevent either from occurring.” Rivers had attempted subtle humor before with mixed results, but this had the group sharing a genuine smile. Even Green herself let the corners of her mouth curl, almost imperceptibly, into a very slight grin.
“It is kinda strange that there’s so much complex emotion flowing through this site.” Said Moors. “I think that’s a good sign, even though the emotions themselves are a mixed bag. It’s like, I don’t know, like some of these people are coming out of a waking dream?”
“The Foundation itself is an anomaly in many ways. It shapes its people and guides their minds through its Byzantine hallways in a focused daze.” Echoes was waxing poetic, a sure sign that he was excited though you’d need to know the man extremely well to see it. “All human institutions do this of course, it is the nature of man, but those like the Foundation… it rises to a higher level, a kind of… local superzeitgeist as it were. If we can smell the scent of change in the air, the likelihood is it’s starting to be felt acutely by the rank and file and they are uncertain how to react. It is an exciting shift, but one that could portend many things, a great many of which may serve only to dash our rising hopes against the rocks of the dead gods’ unchanging paradigms.”
“Jesus H Christ Echoes,” exclaimed Katie “that’s literally the most I’ve ever heard you say in one go. You’re really getting into this, huh?”
“I am… engaging the moment, yes.” He replied tersely, his barely perceptible expression of amusement the closest he ever got to acknowledging his gratitude for his friends’ observant and well intentioned teasing.
“I agree with our suddenly loquacious comrade.” Green was getting in on it too, a sure sign that the apparent change in the air of the Foundation’s corridors had more depth than, perhaps, even Echoes had observed. “I believe that the gestalt organism that is the SCP Foundation has embraced, at least accepted, that its only path forward requires change. That this shift precedes the first light of the rising Moon is a very good sign.”
“I don’t know what’s going on, but it’s good to see you two like this.” David continued, softly, “Last time I remember anything like this was… Montreal?”
“Anyone heard anything official about our situation yet?” Interrupted Katie, not wanting to relive that particular adventure at the moment.
“No, but a guy I used to work with on MTF support back in the day has gone from 'steadfastly avoiding eye contact' to 'giving me the polite nod’ when I see him.” Offered Ramon. “Plus the containment specialists seem to have shifted focus from us to the site itself.”
“Yeah, I noticed that too.” Phasma chimed in. “I think they’re going to approve us but I imagine this will still be our home for the foreseeable future.”
“If that’s the case I need to talk to someone about a perch.” Said Lida. “I mean the bed is comfy enough but I keep waking up with cramps in my wings. I need to be able to sleep normally sometimes.”
“I want to see the look on whoever’s face when you make that request.” Said Katie playfully. Lida just grinned coyly.
The friends exchanged looks, more hope in their faces than anyone had a right to expect; a feeling that spread even to one of the door guards who had been listening to them discreetly. Katie acknowledged this with a sarcastic finger wag in his direction before pausing to recognize her own suppressed fear at the potential implications of the comfort she was starting to feel, at letting her guard down; such things often preceded tragedy in their world.
As if recognizing this, Green spoke up, her normal solemnity returning. “Yes, these developments are positive. There is change around us yielding some cause for hope. But let us not forget that this is all still prologue. A thousand years now narrows to a thousand days and the calendar has already been marked.”
“So… enjoy the calm before the storm? Gotcha. Oh garçon? A bottle of brut please.” Joked Phasma at their security liaison as he walked towards them. He shot her a glare, turned, and left the room. Before anyone had a chance to remark on this, he returned carrying what appeared to be a bottle of champagne and a stack of blue solo cups. To the absolute astonishment of everyone at the table, along with most of the guards, he placed it all before them and said calmly “They’re giving you a shot. You still can’t leave the site but you’re officially ‘high security probationary operatives’ instead of ‘detained persons of interest.’ You’re not likely to get much rest the next few weeks, training’s intense. But, just for tonight, enjoy yourselves. Congratulations.” He said all this in a monotone voice, then turned and walked away before any of them could respond, but Lida yelled out “thank you!” before he got to the door; he smiled warmly to himself, without turning, and left the room.
The team looked at each other, most wide eyed and slack jawed with shock. Ramon popped the cork, not too caught up in the moment to make sure the guards were watching him and would be acutely aware of the noise’s source, and poured them each a glass. As they raised their security approved plastic cups and made a silent toast, it was clear that no violent interruptions were imminently forthcoming.
Green caught that same guard smiling and giving them subtle elevator eyes, as they turned to meet her gaze, she caught herself and scowled before returning to form. A few seconds later, as Green was just about to turn their eyes back to the table, the armored woman let her mouth curl back into a very slight grin and quickly met Rivers’ gaze, only for a moment. Witnessing all this, David leaned over and quietly said “maybe some things around here do change after all.” As Green turned to face their friend, they didn’t try to hide the smile on their face.
No eldritch abominations or deep cover assassins or GOC strike teams appeared to cut short their reverie. No anomalous horrors would steal their brief moment of joy this evening. That would almost certainly come in time, of course, but for the one night at least they truly had cause for celebration and that's what they meant to do.
As she watched this on the security feed, Director Sophia Light reminded herself not to get too comfortable, that deep skepticism would still be necessary for all of them. But, nonetheless, she couldn’t stop herself from raising her coffee mug to the screen and quietly saying “welcome home.”

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to remain in her cell at site ロロロロロロロ at all times. the cell is to be a humanoid residential cell at 12mX15mx2.7m, its furnishings are to consist of a working shower, a bed, and a bookshelf. SCP-XXXX is to be fed 2 liters of livestock blood daily, as well as 3 meals a day. all personnel monitoring SCP-XXXX are to be equipped with a blood pressure monitor that can be tracked remotely, which will alert security staff should any unnatural or sudden decrease in blood pressure be detected. SCP-XXXX is allowed to interact with staff with level 3 clearance bi-weekly, during these interactions, SCP-XXXX's Cell is to be guarded by no less than 2 guards. Should the case be that SCP-XXXX is found out of her cell during a breach, she is to be heavily sedated and re-contained. Any personnel that seems to show intense attraction to SCP-XXXX is to be given Class A amnestic.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a female humanoid with very pale skin, She has very little muscle definition and is well endowed. The eyes exhibit Heterochromia, with the Left eye being red, and the right eye being Yellow, both eyes have cat like slits for pupils. Her natural hair color is blond, however as it has been requested, SCP-XXXX is allowed purple hair dye. Top and bottom fangs are present in the mouth, the top pair being noticeably longer than the bottom. SCP-XXXX is capable of growing her own clothing. The first outfit includes a black tube top, detached red sleeves, a red collar which is held together by what appears to be gold chains, a pair of tight bike shorts, and a pair of purple garter stockings. SCP-XXXX's only true clothing would be it's footwear, which is a pair of red boots that reach below the knee's. SCP-XXXX's digits also have a dark red discoloration that stops before the knuckles, the discoloration is likely what allows SCP-XXXX to 'Drink' blood forcefully. A red heart tattoo is also present on the left cheek, below the eye.
SCP-XXXX has throughout many interviews stated that she is a vampire of extensive age, claiming to be Eighteen thousand years old (18,000). She calls herself "Chell ロロロロロロロ". She has shown to be very flirtatious to both male and female staff, and often is suggestive and sexual during talks, however has yet to actually go far to sexually harass any personnel. She is often best described as airheaded, often being confused on even simple conversational topics and is often forgetful, however has not shown any signs of actual short term memory loss. SCP-XXXX has shown a disapproval of researchers wearing white suits, however this has yet to be an issue. The disapproval is likely related to an entity which she calls The DOK, or ロロロロロ, who exists in another dimension which she also states is called ロロロロロロ (See Addendum 003-ロロロロロロロ ロロロロ). She claims to have come from ロロロロロロ and was cloned along side a sibling named ロロロロロロ.
SCP-XXXX is capable of flight, and often floats around rather than walking, although has shown that she can walk, as well as perform many extreme contortionist acts. By stabbing, or otherwise coming into contact with any organism, living or dead, can gain direct access to the organism's circulatory system, usually preferring to go towards vital arteries in order to 'drink' blood. This act has shown to either cause large wounds in the victim, or leave no trace of any actual damage, aside from the blood lost in the area. SCP-XXXX upon drinking blood, either orally or through the digits, becomes euphoric as well as energetic. SCP-XXXX's interactions with blood are strongly linked to her qualities, which include: Rapid regeneration capable of re-growing lost appendages, to the point where she can reattach a decapitated head back onto the neck while remaining conscious. Supernatural strength and speed, which allows SCP-XXXX to easily damage itself to avoid receiving more sever wounds (See addendum 001-RXH). As well as lift approx.. 10,000 metric tones. SCP-XXXX has also shown the ability to shoot pressurized liquid from both eyes simultaneously. This pressurized liquid has been recorded at ロロロロロロロロロロ Psi, capable of Cutting into 70 mm of solid tungsten within the span of 2 minutes.
**Addendum:
001-RXH: During an interview with Dr. ロロロ, SCP-XXXX during a demonstration had caused her own hand and forearm to split in half, starting between the middle and Ring finger, the split went between the Radius and ulna of the arm, ending before the elbow joint, Dr. ロロロ has requested to be omitted from any further interactions with SCP-XXXX (Accepted).
003-ロロロロロロロ ロロロロ: 05 access only.

SCP-XXXX-A Satalite Footage
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-A is to be monitored by Site-65 Satellites 24/7. Any signs of growth in SCP-XXXX is to be reported immediately to Site-65 director, Chris Dom Laspuall. Signs of growth in SCP-XXXX are listed below.
- Cracks In SCP-XXXX-A
- A Red Substance Oozing Out Of SCP-XXXX-A
- Anomalous Gas Escaping From Cracks Of SCP-XXXX-A
- Beacons Of Lights Coming From The Top Of SCP-XXXX-A During The Night
Description: SCP-XXXX is a quasi-physical humanoid, located in SCP-XXXX-A. It is in a constant state of growth, but the growth has recently been halted due to unknown reasons. SCP-XXXX's has 2 sets of 4 eyes, blackend skin, female body shape, and no mouth.
SCP-XXXX'S anomalous affects activate when a sign of sentient life enters within 100 kilometers of it or it is growing. It will begin to produce a red liquid from it's eyes. Upon contact with a surface, the red liquid will turn into an anomalous gas that is highly toxic. When a sentient life form breaths the gas in, they will begin to hallucinate and the nerves in the brain will begin to shutdown. Then the sentient being would die.

| SCP-7322-01. |
SCP-7322 is a anomalous constant effect that affects all members of a discord server named Purrfect Apawcalypse Hub. SCP-7322 will not take effect until a member of the Hub is on their deathbed or is about to meet their end. Time will freeze from their perspective as a door appear in front of them, SCP-7322-01 will walk out.
SCP-7322-01 is a anthropomorphic bloodhound mutt approximately 6’3 feet tall. SCP-7322-01 has the ability to control its weight, being able to become light as a feather, or as heavy as a boulder. SCP-7322-01 is impervious to damage, seemingly able to deflect all objects that come within a 2 feet radius. Any object the subjects interacts with while is time frozen will temporarily unfreeze, then freeze again upon letting go. It's believed that SCP-7322-01 is a member from the Hub known as Canna, in 2021, she stated being 23, her true age is believed to be billions of years since the creation of the universe.
'Canna' will tell the subject that it's time for their tea party, opening the door for them to reveal a world of debris and void. Upon a rock lies a picnic cloth, two cups of drinks as well, the drink meant for the subject will always be what their favorite drink in life was. After a meanwhile discussion, 'Canna' will offer the subject one last day in the void, or the option to move on immediately. If a subject is revived during this time, they'll be taken out of the void and wake up.
SCP-7322-01 is believed to be the only living being within the void
Addendum-2021-05/21/21: A second being has been described to be living within the void alongside SCP-7322-01, for the time being he is known as a member from the Hub known as sHiiNe, or SCP-7322-02. SCP-7322-02 and SCP-7322-01 are believed to be in a romantic relationship due to certain descriptions and interactions observed by subjects.
Interview Logs
The following log was conducted on 2/3/2021, after member of the Hub, Miles 'Boo' Quartz was shot at 11:21AM on the 2nd of Feburary by Timothy 'Patch' Iron, pronouncing him clinically dead for 5 minutes. Upon revival, Miles was interviewed by the foundation and soon administered Class C amnestics afterwards.
Interviewed: Miles Quartz
Interviewer: Dr. Samuel Granite
Foreword: Dr. Samuel Granite was chosen to interview Miles as he's the closest to the Hub and it's members, being a creation of Hub member Nutella.
[BEGIN LOG]
Dr. Samuel Granite opens the door, sitting down onto his chair and looking at Miles.
Dr. Samuel: Miles Quartz, correct? We'd like to.. talk about your death experience you had last night.

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: No special procedures. SCP XXXX is to be completely isolated at all times. A perimeter of 30 kilometers around XXXX is to be kept entirely clean of any living organisms and any non-naturally occurring inorganic materials aside from the road. MTF Gamma-9 (”Cerdos”) is to disguise as Highway Patrol and disrupt any kind of traffic that would be directed through SCP XXXX under a standard road reconstruction cover story. Under no circumstances are the roads to XXXX to be blocked for any reasons whatsoever. Under no circumstances is any one to be allowed into XXXX, foundation members included. Gamma-9 has full discretion on how to stop people from entering the perimeter and what to do with anyone found trespassing, but recommendation is full amnesticisation, keeping only core components of personality, followed by an observation period of no less than 20 days, MTF Tau-17 (”Voyeurs”) is responsible for observation.
Special attention is to be taken by all stationed MTF members during the Sporophyte Period, lasting around 10 days with seemingly random intervals in between them but occurring no less than once every 4 months (see addendum XXXX-B-Biology for more information, including a full list of recorded Sporophyte Periods and their estimated length), when breaches are more common.
Description: SCP XXXX is a city pseudo-organism (see addendum XXXX-B-Biology for more information on the classification controversies surrounding XXXX) in Argentina near █████████ (██°██’w ██°██’s). Of unknown origins, XXXX looks and acts like a normal medium-sized city of the area, including people, buildings and infrastructure. It’s pseudo-inorganic components (buildings, furniture, pipes, dirt, air, etc.) are designated XXXX-1, while it’s pseudo-organic components (citizens, trees, animals, micro-organisms etc.) are designated XXXX-2. It’s only readily apparent anomalous characteristic is the fact that the city is constantly immersed in night-like darkness, this effect can only be seen from within it’s zone of influence, the cause for it is unknown, Doctor █████████ theorized that ████████████████████████████████████.
XXXX was discovered after a plant in local government noticed an unnamed, unfunded and apparently inexistent city in the archives. A squadron specialized in anti-memetics and cognito-harzards — comprised of members of MTF Psi-9 (”Provender”) and researcher Marion — was dispatched to look for the city, see addendum XXXX-A for more information.
Everything naturally inside XXXX is a part of a single cluster-organism. Foreign elements, when placed into the dead-zone (see addendum XXXX-B-Biology) will slowly be colonized and converted by XXXX, becoming a part of it, designated XXXX-3. It is not known the exact length of exposure required for this effect to take place, but the average incubation period of said colonization is two weeks, with the ninety-ninth percentile cases falling in just over 20 days.
XXXX-3s are distinguished from XXXX-1s and XXXX-2s in that they have a lot more freedom of movement and interest, even being able to be removed from the dead-zone without immediately entering decomposition. If sapient, they retain most the of characteristics of personality present in them before conversion, making them functionally indistinguishable from regular people, their appearance too, remains unchanged. Autopsies of XXXX-3s bodies revealed that their bodies seem normal. Attempted DNA analysis on formerly human XXXX-3s has revealed that ████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████. For more information see addendum B.
XXXX-3s are the only currently known way for XXXX to spread.
XXXX appears to have some kind memetic property, which is more active during it’s Sporophyte Period. Interviews with several XXXX-3s has revealed an element of compulsion which drew them into the city. Most admitted to having weird dreams right before they felt the need to relocate to the affected area. The reach of said effect is unknown, with victims ranging from locals to people from █████████, █████████ and █████████. There is some internal dispute about whether or not the effect displayed by XXXX should count as memetic, for more information on it check Addendum B-Memetic Research. A full log of interviews can be found on Addendum C.

Doctor: Good morning XXXX-3-A
-A: Martin… Doctor…
[Pause]
No, never mind…
Doctor: You’d rather I use your former identification?
-A: Yes? No? Maybe…
Dr.: Yes or no?
-A: No, I guess not. Good morning, Doctor.
[Brief pause in which -A takes a deep breath]
I suppose, you’d like the full story, huh? Well there’s not much to it, but that’s still why we’re here after all, little automatons documenting humanity’s desperate attempts at staving off the inescapable…
[Pause]
Sorry, the people here… They aren’t always great conversationalists. I suppose if you called me a -3 that would also make them -3s? Wait, no, they can’t be, so are they -1s or -2s?
[Silence, Doctor Perez does not respond]
-A: You can’t answer that, of course, sorry I asked.
Where to start? Let me see…
[Brief pause, where -A massages their temples]
Ah, yes. Well when we first approached the town, I’m sure you guys at home base noticed, but at some point the sky turned dark, not in a rainy sort of way, but like it had turned into night. This is already where I get a little confused. I’m sure you people have a much better understanding than us, being able to review the footage and all…
Dr.: What do you mean by confused?
-A: It’s just that… Well, I’m not really sure when it got darker, kind of like falling sleep you know? Like it wasn’t dark and then it was and it’s hard to pin-point an exact turning point.
[Pause]
But that wasn’t really the start was it? No, I don’t think so. I guess it started much earlier, when I volunteered for the expedition… I’m still not sure why I did it…
Dr.: You think you were compelled?
-A: No… Not in as much, I’ve worked with plenty of anomalies that compel people, from cognito-hazards to memetic agents, to other, weirder, stuff. My masters degree was on it you know? Puppet String Theory, I called it, as a little joke. But I don’t know, it’s hard to say… Someone had to do it, right?
Dr.: Usually we have researchers specialized in off-site work do this kind of thing, it wasn’t your responsibility.
-A: Yeah, I guess you’re right. It’s just… I don’t know how to explain it, I wasn’t compelled like the poor fools I’ve seen dealing with SCP REDACTED or REDACTED. It felt a lot more… Organic than that, it wasn’t like there was some alien will superimposing my own. I didn’t lose control, I didn’t feel dread, it just felt like the obvious thing to do, like tying your laces or making a cup of coffee.
Dr.: So you felt nothing?
-A: Right, there was no tell-tale sign of outside control.
Dr.: And yet…
-A: And yet it is odd, isn’t it? I had no reason to do it and I did it anyway.
[Brief pause]
Sorry, I’m just stalling now… So, it got dark as soon as we got into the city. We didn’t have much info, almost nothing, truth be told. We thought it was just going to be some slightly quirky anti-memetic town, even then the MTF guys were pretty on edge. Have you ever talked to one of those guys? And thought I was paranoid…
Dr.: -A… Please…
-A: Right, sorry, I’m rambling again. So we arrived and the town was just normal, extremely normal, aside from the fact that it was 1400 and already dark as a moonless night. So that’s it, right? Slap a Safe classification and move on. But… I don’t know, it’s kind of hard to explain… it felt wrong. Not in any definitive sense, it just felt weird to leave the town when we’d gone there because there was no info on it anywhere, go back basically empty-handed.
It didn’t feel like any anti-meme I’d ever seen, we had a couple of people on high-grade mnestics, just to make sure nothing would get by us and they just confirmed that there was nothing wrong. Mishra, the MTF leader, wanted to have a look around, just to make sure we weren’t missing anything.
So we had a look around and sure enough there was nothing wrong. No one was acting very surprised by the fact that it was night, but I guess people had just gotten used to it by now or something. Their accent fit into the North perfectly, people were walking around normally, nothing that called too much attention to itself. The strange part was that there was a town-hall, so the municipality should have been registered. We even scoped it a bit and again, found it normal and boring.
Dr.: When did you notice that something was wrong?
-A: We didn’t. There was nothing wrong, I know it’s hard to believe, hurts the pride and whatnot, but there was NOTHING wrong. So we scheduled to go back, that’s when we sent the preliminary results. The only thing I distinctively remember from that day — or night, whatever — was some kind of graffiti, right by the border of the town, practically in the first building that could be said to be in it: said some edgy teenager shit like “What do you do when the Void calls?”. I remember it because it set me on edge, it had that thing where it was weird, but not the bad kind you know? It didn’t really feel like it belonged to the city, like it was put there by someone else, as if it somehow superseded reality, does that make any sense? I don’t think it does, but that’s kind of how it felt…
Dr.: Sorry for circling around to this again but are you sure it wasn’t some kind of cognitohazard?
-A: No, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t. The MTF people didn’t even throw it a second glance and they were… Are?… way more qualified than me in identifying that kind of thing in an instant.
Dr.: Okay, go on.
-A: So we were about to go back and during our short stay some kind of fly or something had gotten into the car. It was buzzing around the van, being annoying. I remember it landing on the back of a seat, right in front of me then… well, then it kind of disappeared. No, that’s a bad way to describe it. It didn’t disappear it… crumbled, like it was made of charcoal, and then the screaming started…
[Long Pause]
Dr.: Screaming?
-A: I don’t know who it was, some MTF, maybe? I didn’t know them very well.
I hadn’t even realized when we’d first gotten in, but there were no cars on the road, at any point, no one seemed to enter or leave the town. I guess since we thought it was anti-memetic it didn’t even register, but now we knew it probably wasn’t and we saw the first car in the entire trip.
And whoever the fuck was still screaming. The car swerved, right in front of us, like drunk person trying to walk. The driver on our van hit the breaks. To avoid a collision we were driven off the road, the smell of burning rubber was overpowering, the engine died.
[Long Pause]
Funny thing is, whatever or whoever was in that car? It just might have saved us all.
Dr.: I see… What then?
-A: Well by that point I think Reyes called you and asked for extraction or at least another vehicle. For whatever reason the van had died, it wouldn’t even make a noise, like the engine had vanished. I was feeling pretty bad by that point, like a totalizing feeling of discomfort. Everything felt weird and unreal, like someone had exchanged all of my organs while I was still awake, but I hadn’t even noticed t until now.
Dr.: Did the others feel like this too?
-A: We weren’t talking much, honestly, but they all looked worse for wear.
Dr.: Can’t you… know… it?
-A: I don’t think I can, we aren’t a hive mind you know…
Dr.: Well, it was worth the question.
-A: Sure.
[Pause]
There were some more cars coming through now. No one was leaving the city but every once in a while a car would speed by. We decided to walk back to town, it was dark, we didn’t want to stay in the dark. It took us a couple of hours, but was simple enough, just walking in a straight line.
I… I think there was a temporal anomaly of some kind at play… I hadn’t thought of it until now, but if it took us a couple of hours to walk back into town, then we would have heard from the extraction team in that time, no?
Dr.: So far things seem…
-A: Normal? Yeah, they were, normal and boring.
[Pause]
[The Doctor Sounds Vexed]
Dr.: Were there any more cars on your way back?
-A: No, no more cars, if had to guess, I’d say that we’d seen about 6 or 7 cars going into the town, total.
Dr.: And none coming back.
-A: And none coming back.
Dr.: Were you afraid?
-A: No, not then. We had a fully equipped MTF on our side. I just didn’t know what to expect, I guess we never do.
When we got to the town, there was no one on the streets. The watch said 1800 or 1900, the streets were fully deserted and completely silent. All very eerie.
If I stood still and concentrated I could almost make myself believe I could hear some enormous breathing, as if the city was… Something. It was bullshit of course, I couldn’t hear shit, there was nothing to hear, just the sounds of our beating hearts and our shallow breaths.
We had a look around, the city wasn’t small, so there was no way we’d be doing a full sweep on foot. We got lucky, I guess, found a bunch of parked vehicles right in front of… something, I’m not sure what it was, looked almost like a construction site, but more organized, less provisional. It was ominous looking, we didn’t have as much gear as we maybe should, but curiosity killed the cat.
-A: Yeah, we didn’t even have to talk, really. It just felt natural, didn’t even have to lie. We’d come looking for odd and odd we found, maybe not in the way we were expecting, but still…
Dr.: Going in was… unwise…
-A: Yeah, we got lucky.
Dr.: Which we are you talking about?
-A: Ha! Isn’t that the question, Boss?
[Brief Pause]
But yeah, we went in, the MTF was just about done with bullshit, guns blazing. If those people were feeling half as bad as I was… I’m just surprised it wasn’t even worse. The construction site thing went into the ground, like they were digging a subway line or something.
Dr.: Can you tell us what happened in there?
-A: Don’t you have the footage?
Dr.: We have parts of it.
-A: Huh, weird. I don’t remember much, either. I we went in quietly, I was holding that big flashlight-thing, never used a gun and thought at least that way I’d be useful. There was nothing, just a vaguely dank smell.
I remember a hole, like it was carved out of reality, like it just went on and on and on. I remember some other girl, I can almost recall her face, she seemed so serene, so familiar… She talked about her dreams, both literal and metaphorical, I think at some point her face got all screwy, I don’t know. I could suddenly feel my insides twisting and turning, as if I were testing a muscle I didn’t know I had.
Then Reyes jumped and as he did, I swear there was something… I don’t know… It’s hard to say…
[Audible shudder, Long Pause]
Do you think we could try mnestics?
Dr.: I doubt it would be safe, you are hardly human anymore.
-A: Figured I could at least ask. Well, thing is, I don’t like not remembering, but whenever > I try to think about it… It’s like my mind falls into the hole all over again, just a black expanse of nothing all around, growing and growing and growing. There was something there I’m sure of it, then there were the mushrooms…
[Pause]
Dr.: Can you elaborate on that, -A.
-A: I don’t think I can… It’s like… it’s there, but it’s not there. The next thing I remember, > I was jump-starting a car with some people I didn’t recognize, but the car evaporated into thin air as we crossed the city’s limit. They weren’t afraid, I don’t think.
Dr.: What about the MTF, can you tell us what happened to them?
-A: I’m not… I’m not sure.
Dr.: Can you feel any of them?
-A: We are not a hive-mind…
Dr.: Can you?
-A: I… I think I can find Reyes… maybe…
Dr.: What about the others? These people you tried to flee with?
-A: I think they are still here, somewhere…
Dr.: You convinced them to stay?
-A: Maybe… I think they never wanted to leave in the first place, I don’t know…
[Long Pause]
Is… is that it?
Dr.: I guess so, at least for now.
[Brief Pause]
Wait, one more thing -A. Your dreams, were they weird at all before you volunteered for the mission?
-A: ███████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

Dr.: Wait, one more thing -A. Does the phrase: "God-shaped hole", mean anything to you?
-A: Along the deep darkness that dwells in the in-between, that occupies the space the beneath. Along the tall rivers that defy time and space. Along the waterfalls that accept no gravity.
Dr.: -A?
-A: There’s to be found nothing. Nothing that could not be found anywhere else.

-A: Because there is Nothing, not even void. Just us and us and us. Calling from and for the void. From and for the darkness. We are Nothing, you are Nothing, in the rotting corpse of a transient infinity of our own making.

Closing Statement: Well that was certainly unenlightening. Got a lot less than I was expecting. What surprised me more was that I knew -A before the colonization, and I don't think I'd have noticed anything different about them. For now our main preocupattion is still in containing it. - Dr. Perez

Dr. Perez, we received your last three requests for reclassification, the motion is still denied. Sometimes we just have to cut our losses and the general amount of those on this project are minimal, claiming anything else is at best paranoia and at worse grounds for termination.
Move on Martin, that’s an order.
