Special containment procedures: SCP xxxx is to be kept in a locked, airtight box that is to be kept under armed guard by no less than two (2) guards at a time in site 19. These guards are to be stationed just outside of the room that houses SCP xxxx. They are not to be let into the room unless instructed to do so in order to assist with an ongoing test. Doors to SCP xxxx’s containment room are to be kept locked at all times. Only researchers with level 3 clearance or higher are permitted to conduct tests with SCP xxxx.

Description: SCP xxxx is a thick, leather bound book titled “Classical Poetry for the Soul and Mind”. This title is embroidered on the spine of the book in gold lettering. Any and all attempts to damage SCP xxxx have proven unsuccessful (ie fire, gunshots, stabs, shredding, and tearing) (see addendum 2)), and further testing is necessary to prove it’s full capabilities.

Subjects within 20 feet of SCP xxxx begin to feel an urge to open it, and it is necessary to have a bare minimum of two (2) personnel, one inside proximity and one outside, to disrupt all urges whenever in a non testing environment.

If SCP xxxx is ever fully opened, a poem writes itself into the book and continues to write itself on whatever page the subject flips to, until the poem is either finished or the book is closed before the poem can be finished. If the poem is fully read, the subject immediately commits suicide through the nearest and most convienient method (gunshot wounds, hanging, blunt force trauma, and cervical fracture)

However if the poem is not finished, the subject reports seeing SCP xxxx in their peripheral vision for all waking hours in the day, as well as in their dreams (which substantially increases in volume and detail). After a week of not finishing the poem, SCP xxxx disappears from sight and the poem begins to etch itself into the torso of the subject (lacerations measuring ⅛ inch in thickness and ¼ inch in depth). If the subject reads this version of the poem they commit suicide just as quickly as those who read the entirety of the poem on their first viewing of SCP xxxx. The only apparent treatment of the effects of SCP xxxx are class 2 amnestics or higher. However, if the subject does not read the poem on their torso the lacerations increase in width and depth every day until the subject bleeds out.

Additional: SCP xxxx was discovered in - Ohio, in a school library after the suicides of 2 students, 1 teacher, and 2 police officers in the span of 20 minutes. After the suicides, a containment team was called in by an on-site agent and mild amnestics were applied to all school staff and students.

Addendum xxxx-1: SCP xxxx has proven to be able to cause the immediate suicide of anyone who reads it’s contents, following the self termination of a D-class after instructed to read SCP xxxx. This self termination is apparently caused by an outside force, and something seems to possess the body of whoever reads it. This proven by the D-class’ cries of desperation as it bashed it’s head against a wall until death.

Addendum xxxx-2: SCP xxxx seems to be able to cause death, no matter the circumstances of its presence. When a D-class was instructed to read the contents of the book inside a padded room, it placed the book in it’s mouth, walked up to a wall and slammed their head against the wall, causing a fatal cervical fracture. (Note the D-class still voiced it’s desperation and apparent unwillingness to commit the suicide.)

Addendum xxxx-3: D-class was instructed to open and only partially read contents of SCP xxxx, which was completed successfully. D-class has not attempted suicide and was returned to their room to be kept under observation.

Addendum xxxx-3b: Approximately 3 days after initial testing, D-class reports “seeing the damn book everywhere I go”. Note that SCP xxxx was reported to have been safely returned to its case during the duration of D-class’ distress.

Addendum xxxx-3c: Approximately 5 days after initial testing, D-class was seen attempting to break into the holding room of SCP xxxx, stating “please, just let me read it, i need to know”. Subject repeated this phrase for several hours until falling asleep under constraints and a 24 hour watch.

Addendum xxxx-3d: Approximately 7 days after initial testing, the D-class was reported to be screaming in agony. Upon closer inspection, text, following a Shakespearean pattern of grammar and tone, was seen etching itself into the torso of the D-class. These cuts did not draw blood or terminate the D-class, so it was held for further testing.

Addendum xxxx-3e: Approximately 12 days after initial testing, the D-class died of blood loss due to severe lacerations in the torso area. Each day at noon the cuts increased in depth and width until organs were exposed, despite the best efforts of on-site medical teams.

Addendum xxxx-4: Multiple D-class were exposed to SCP xxxx, each with different weapons and poisons at their disposal. It appears after the effects of SCP xxxx take hold, the subject, or whatever is controlling the subject, go straight for the most efficient means of self termination.

Addendum xxxx-5: After a consultation of 05 council members, clearance for destruction of SCP xxxx was approved.

Addendum xxxx-6: After being exposed to flames at temperatures upwards of 1600 degrees celsius, thermite charges, and jet fuel engine flames, there was no apparent damage to SCP xxxx. It has been deduced that SCP xxxx is immune to all types of combustion.

Addendum xxxx-7: A D-class was instructed to attempt to rip SCP xxxx apart and not read its contents, but would only do so one page at a time. When instructed to damage it more efficiently, it responded with “I’m trying, but it feels like I physically can’t”. This process was attempted 19 times with various D-class all to the same effect. Note: even though they were allowed to rip for several hours, the book never seemed to lose any thickness whatsoever, and its weight was the same as it was before the destruction attempt.

Addendum xxxx-8: After various attempts of putting SCP xxxx under heavy machine gun fire and attempted destruction using various melee weaponry, SCP xxxx remains unscathed.

Addendum xxxx-9: All efforts to damage or destroy SCP xxxx were deemed fruitless. Any and all further testing proposals have been immediately shut down and SCP xxxx will remain in it’s holding box for the foreseeable future.

An instance of RPC-911 in a dormant state.

Containment Procedures: The five separate known instances of RPC-911 are to each be quarantined on-location at the sites of their discovery. Under no circumstances are any flammable objects allowed within outposts known to be safeguarding instances of RPC-911. Members of MST-Charlie-37 “Rescue Rangers” are stationed at each location where an instance of RPC-911 is known to be located. At least two willing CSD personnel or on-site ASF must be present at the instance of RPC-911 at all times in case a Sorensen Event should occur.

Immediately after the beginning of a Sorensen Event, Authority staff at each site must turn off their respective instance of RPC-911 in order to neutralize that instance’s anomalous effects. Failure to partake in assisting in neutralizing a Sorensen Event can be grounds for immediate termination, at the discretion of the nearest Site Director.

Description: RPC-911 consists of a set of five fire alarms located throughout buildings in the United States, designated RPC-911-1 through RPC-911-5. Instances of RPC-911 are designed in a manner similar to that of typical fire alarms used in schools and offices, consisting of a small red box with a keyhole¹ and a large white lever. On the top of the box, the words ‘FIRE ALARM’ are printed in white lettering, and the words ‘PULL DOWN’ are printed in red on the lever. No company or brand name has been found on any instance of RPC-911. Building owners and maintenance workers do not recall placing any fire alarms during the construction of the areas where instances are located.

At the time of reporting, there have been five instances of RPC-911 discovered in locations around the United States:

Display Known Instances of RPC-911(Level 3 Clearance Required).

RPC-911-1: Located in the ████████ Corporation main office in Broomfield, Colorado. The office building has since been acquired by the Authority and is used as a primary research site for the anomaly.

RPC-911-2: Located in a men’s bathroom at the Grand Metro Subway Station in New York. The bathroom has been quarantined under the cover story of a mold outbreak. The area is now under Authority control, and the bathroom has been sealed off and converted into an Authority outpost.

RPC-911-3: Located at the ████████ Middle School in Tampa, Florida, in the staff lounge. The room has been quarantined and the wing of the school where the lounge was located has been closed down under the cover story of being renovated and taken over by the Authority. Under no circumstances are any anomalies or research projects to be conducted at this outpost, as it exists solely to neutralize RPC-911. Sorensen Events are to be explained as routine fire alarm testing.

RPC-911-4: Located in the subterranean compound of ████████ Military Base in Sacramento, California. An agreement has been formed between the United States Military and the Authority to allow members of Mobile Strike Team 'Greenhorns' to maintain a constant presence at the Military Base for the sole purpose of shutting down RPC-911-4 whenever a Sorensen Event takes place.

RPC-911-5: Located at Site-██ , in Site Director ████████ office. The Site Director insists that RPC-911-5 manifested one day while he was working, and does not recall there ever being a fire alarm in his office. This supplies evidence to the theory that instances of RPC-911 are able to manifest on walls in even tightly secured areas.

RPC-911’s anomalous properties activate at seemingly random periods of time-but during an activation period, every known instance of RPC-911 will activate at once. The collective activation of each instance of RPC-911 has been designated as a Sorensen Event.

During a Sorensen Event, each instance of RPC-911 will begin to emanate a sound very similar to the ringing of a typical fire alarm. If the handle on the fire alarm is not pulled within five seconds of the anomaly activating, all flammable objects within a radius of 3m will begin to spontaneously combust- this includes clothing, wooden furniture, and some flammable liquids (such as oil and alcohol). There seems to be no limit to the number of objects an instance of RPC-911 can combust, and the fire created by the combustion is able to spread to other flammable objects nearby even if the instance is turned off. For every ten seconds that the alarm continues to ring, the radius that RPC-911's anomalous effects can combust increases by approximately 30.5 meters. If left unchecked, according to Authority mathematicians, it would take approximately one hundred days for a single instance of RPC-911 to cover Earth's radius in its range- twenty if all instances were left active.

The only known way to halt a Sorensen Event is for each lever on an instance of RPC-911 to be pulled, thus canceling out the effects of the alarm. The instances will stop ringing and displaying their anomalous properties as soon as all five levers are pulled, after which they will become inactive. This is designated as the end of a Sorensen Event, and after the event has ended the anomaly will fall into a state of inaction before the next Sorensen Event occurs. These states of inaction have ranged from three days to six months in duration.

The first instance of RPC-911 was discovered in Broomfield, Colorado after a local corporation reported mass combustion of several pieces of office equipment and worker’s uniforms during what was believed to be a routine fire drill. After the alarm was turned off, Authority agents became aware of reports from the locations of the other known instances regarding similar incidents. These locations were quickly sealed off to the public and placed under Authority control.

Addendum: While there has been no reported incident of a new instance of RPC-911 appearing recently, Authority agents are instructed to be wary of any incident report regarding spontaneous combustion. The possibility of instances of RPC-911 manifesting in other countries has not been excluded.

SCP-5254: "A Bad Egg"

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5254 and SCP-5254-1 are to be contained in satellite site [REDACTED], within a suspended box of not less than three (3) meters by three (3) meters by three (3) meters comprised of interlocked and replicable lead glass panes. This box is to be suspended within a second room of replicable five (5) centimetre thick (2 inches) floor panels comprised of steel and surrounded by ten (10) meters of concrete on all sides, excepting the singular entry point. These plates are to be replaced no less than once per month, or replaced immediately when contamination or conversion of the affected plate is detected by maintenance personnel. Personnel are not to bring energetic material, electronic devices or unshielded biological matter into the containment chamber unless otherwise authorized by researchers. No direct contact with SCP-5254 or SCP-5254-1 is to be made under any circumstances, excepting for approved experimentation purposes. Non-assigned personnel seeking access to Satellite Site ██-█ and SCP-5254 requires individual written approval from 05-█.

Personnel assigned to SCP-5254 are to be subject to full NBC decontamination procedures before entering or interacting with SCP-5254 or SCP-5254-1, as well as upon exit of the containment chamber. All staff must wear full NBC protective gear within the containment chamber and should spend no more than 15 minutes per day within the chamber for any reason, unless approved for experimentation purposes. All assigned staff are required to undergo weekly physical and psychiatric examinations as well as be subject to weekly DNA screening tests for unexpected mutations, anomalous properties or unexpected changes in behaviour. Deaths of assigned staff are to be treated as infectious and their bodies classified as SCP-5254-2, and then incinerated. Cases of SCP-5254-3 are to be captured and contained in isolation for observation and given class A amnestics. For cases of SCP-5254-3 that are too anomalous or unpredictable, they are to be terminated and their bodies incinerated.

In order to counteract SCP-5254’s constant growth, a mass of SCP-5254’s extending veins equalling ██ kg/m3 per day is to be physically severed from the tips of SCP-5254’s extending veins and incinerated.

In the case of unrecoverable site containment failure or if SCP-5254 is determined to no longer be containable, staff are ordered to attempt to incinerate SCP-5254 and SCP-5254-1. Should this fail, staff are to use the onsite nuclear weapons to destroy the containment site.

Description: : SCP-5254 is an object of unknown matter and origin recovered from a meteorite impact on a remote farmstead in ██████, █████████ on █3/0█/198█. SCP-5254 displays both biological and inorganic properties with the appearance of roughly cut stone, laced with purple, crystalline veins. Its appearance is roughly egg shaped with varying measurements depending on extent of growth. Tests have revealed SCP-5254 possesses DNA that does not share any known common ancestor on Earth, with much of its physical structure comprised of iron and silicate alloys not found naturally on Earth. Attempts have so far been unable to artificially reproduce this material with the same protective properties displayed by the surface of SCP-5254.

From the veins at the base of the egg extend several crystalline tendrils of similar material to the veins covering SCP-5254. These tendrils grow in a manner similar to a tree’s roots, seeking new material and space to inhabit, but at a vastly accelerated rate. SCP-5254 will attempt to cover and convert any material it can reach into nutrients to continue its growth through an unknown process. Dr. ██████ believes it may be breaking and recombining atomic nuclei to add to its own structure through a currently unknown process. To date, no tested material has been able to resist the conversion process.

The conversion process in SCP-5254’s dormant state converts matter at a rate of ██ kg/m3 per day. If an aggressive cutback or significant destruction of SCP-5254’s vein growths is performed, it will begin aggressively attempting to regrow them at a rate of ███ kg/m3 per day until it returns to its previous level of growth. The veins of SCP-5254 performing the conversion begin to secrete a viscous purple biological, radioactive, mutagenic liquid as material is converted, referred to as SCP-5254-1. SCP-5254-1 releases levels of gamma radiation considered lethal to most life as well as producing electromagnetic discharges, often seen as arcing purple electricity. SCP-5254-1 also contains fragments of the DNA found in SCP-5254. Currently, it is debated as to whether or not SCP-5254-1 is considered alive in a clinical sense. Despite the electromagnetic emissions, SCP-5254 is unaffected by secretion of SCP-5254-1. Direct skin contact with SCP-5254-1 is highly corrosive to flesh, often jolting affected persons with electric shocks and inflicting lethal radiation poisoning within several seconds of direct contact. To date, 80% of known unprotected contacts with SCP-5254-1 have ended in fatality due to radiation poisoning within twenty four hours of exposure, most died within thirty to sixty seconds. Deaths from exposure to SCP-5254-1 are collectively recorded as SCP-5254-2. Current count of SCP-5254-2 as of 2020/12/01 is ███.

Cases of survived exposure to SCP-5254-1 are classified collectively as SCP-5254-3. Of all ██ cases of SCP-5254-3, all have displayed varying levels of changes in personality or behaviour and display tangible genetic mutations. █ cases have developed randomized anomalous or mutated properties and have been contained after being administered class A amnestics. These properties range from gaining blue skin pigmentation, rapidly accelerated aging, or in rare cases, begin displaying anomalous properties, such as SCP-[REDACTED].

Formerly D-Class personnel ███████ after being exposed through an undiscovered breach of his NBC protective equipment during 3 successive maintenance shifts began to display anomalous alterations to his bio-chemistry. SCP-[REDACTED] began displaying significant increase in [REDACTED] as well beginning to produce SCP-5254-1 within new organs grown as part of the mutation process within his own body, implying potential [REDACTED].

In all cases of SCP-5254-3, subjects require at least a meal supplement of SCP-5254-1 to survive, as evidenced by the death of SCP-5254-3-█ and █ by starvation of SCP-5254-1, despite ready access to a range of normal foodstuffs and connection to IV fluids. SCP-[REDACTED] is now capable of consuming only SCP-5254-1.

As per Recovery Log 01, SCP-5254 appears to be at least resistant to firearms of strength equivalent to buckshot. Additional experimentation reveals SCP-5254 does not appear to be slowed or adversely affected to exposure to vacuum or blunt force trauma, but does appear to be capable of being incinerated with temperatures exceeding two thousand five hundred (2,500) degrees Celcius.

Due to the lack of materials capable of resisting conversion by SCP-5254, Dr. ██████ believes that with sufficient time and lack of containment, SCP-5254 could possibly expand to cover and convert most of the planet and life on it. See Research Log 036.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6316 remains only partially contained. MTF Pi-1 ("City Slickers") have succeeded in establishing a defensible perimeter around the Port Campbell National Park of SCP-6316, with cases of SCP-6316-A largely ceasing their attacks on the perimeter of the Foundation-held area. A long-term research base is currently under construction, and Mobile Task Force commanders are preparing an assault on the SCP-6316 jelly walker war. Current short-term aims involve the capture of, and extension of the defensible perimeter to, the SCP-6316 Journalist of the SCP-6316-A entities. Long-term aims involve efforts to halt, hinder, or control the production of the SCP-6316-A entities, and to assault the SCP-6316, from mars.

The fighting-machines of SCP-6316 are assembled in the jelly walker pits by handling-machines before activation and each tripod possesses an unspecified number of tentacles, one of which can retract into the tripod when its primary weapon, the Heat-Ray, is not in use. The tentacles are also able to hold a Magnetic Acceleration Cannon. Tentacles were also used in the novel to pick up people, throw them at objects, and even rip up small trees, indicating a high degree of strength and precision.

The head is described as a "brazen" hood that holds the jelly pilot. Whether "brazen" here refers to the hood being made of a brass-like substance or its attitude is uncertain. The head can turn in any direction. The tripod as a whole appears as if it is made from a substance similar to aluminum.

The jelly walker tripod also is composed of a segment known as the "body", for which there are few details. The body apparently contains a jet, which can fire pressurized steam in order to dissipate black smoke. This steam is capable of breaking glass, and would surely cause a nasty burn, but is not shown in use as a weapon. There are also three legs. The novel never shows tripod legs being used to injure anyone directly, although this is a common occurrence in later works.

On the back of each tripod is what looks like a metal fishing basket, which it uses to hold humans that it captures with its tentacles.

The tripods in the original book could be destroyed by human weapons, usually artillery, although losses were usually heavier for the humans than the jelly walkers. A number of later works assert that this is impossible.

According to one instance in the book, the machine gives off a howl that is given as "Aloo!" However, this should not be confused with "Ulla", a sound given off by the jelly walkers themselves.

The assembly process of the fighting machines is somewhat uncertain. When the jelly walkers first arrive at earth, they erect a device which functions like a heat ray to defend themselves. Later on, they are said to have moved in something like a large covered dish, which is probably the hood of a fighting machine, and some components of the vehicle itself not yet set up in a fully erect form.

Journalist: [as narrator] No one would have believed, in the last years of the nineteenth century, that human affairs were being watched from the timeless worlds of space. No one could have dreamed we were being scrutinized, as someone with a microscope studies creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. Few men even considered the possibility of life on other planets and yet, across the gulf of space, minds immeasurably superior to ours regarded this Earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely, they drew their plans against us.

At midnight, on the twelfth of August, a huge mass of luminous gas erupted from Mars and sped towards Earth. Across two hundred million miles of void, invisibly hurtling towards us, came the first of the missiles that were to bring so much calamity to Earth. As I watched, there was another jet of gas. It was another missile, starting on its way.
And that's how it was for the next ten nights. A flare, spurting out from Mars – bright green, drawing a green mist behind it – a beautiful, but somehow disturbing sight. Ogilvy, the astronomer, assured me we were in no danger. He was convinced there could be no living thing, on that remote, forbidding planet.

Journalist: [as narrator] Then came the night the first missile approached Earth. It was thought to be an ordinary falling star, but next day there was a huge crater in the middle of the Common, and Ogilvy came to examine what lay there: a cylinder, thirty yards across, glowing hot… and with faint sounds of movement coming from within. & some jam on the cylinder
Suddenly the top began moving, rotating, unscrewing, and Ogilvy feared there was a man inside, trying to escape. He rushed to the cylinder, but the intense heat stopped him before he could burn himself on the metal.

Journalist: [as narrator] It seems totally incredible to me now, that everyone spent that evening as though it were just like any other. From the railway station came the sound of shunting trains, ringing and rumbling, softened almost into melody by the distance. It all seemed so safe and tranquil.

Journalist: [as narrator] Next morning, a crowd gathered on the Common, hypnotized by the unscrewing of the cylinder. Two feet of shining screw projected when, suddenly, the lid fell off! two jam like eys above the rim. A huge, jam gingerbread size of a human rose up slowly, glistening like wet leather. Its lipless mouth quivered and slavered. & his eyes look like a jelly beans as the body heaved and pulsated.

A few young men crept closer to the pit. A tall funnel rose, then an invisible ray of heat leapt from man to man and there was a bright glare, as each was instantly turned to fire. Every tree and bush became a mass of flames at the touch of this savage, unearthly Heat Ray. People clawed their way off the Common, and I ran too. I felt I was being toyed with, that when I was on the very verge of safety, this mysterious death would leap after me and strike me down. At last I reached Maybury Hill and in the dim coolness of my home I wrote an account for my newspaper before I sank into a restless, haunted sleep.

I awoke to alien sounds of hammering from the pit, and hurried to the railway station to buy the paper. Around me, the daily routine of life – working, eating, sleeping – was continuing serenely as it had for countless years. On Horsell Common, the jelly walkers continued hammering and stirring, sleepless, indefatigable, at work upon the machines they were making. Now and again a light, like the beam of a warship's searchlight, swept the Common – and the Heat Ray was ready to follow. In the afternoon, a company of soldiers came through and deployed along the edge of the Common, to form a cordon. That evening, there was a violent crash and I realized with horror that my home was now within range of the jelly walker' Heat Ray. At dawn, a falling star with a trail of green mist landed with a flash like summer lightning. This was the second cylinder.

Journalist: [as narrator] The hammering from the pit and the pounding of guns grew louder. My fear rose at the sound of someone creeping into the house. Then I saw it was a young artilleryman, weary, streaked with blood and dirt.

Journalist: What's happened?

Artilleryman: They wiped us out. Hundreds dead – maybe thousands.

Journalist: The Heat Ray?

Artilleryman: The jelly gingerbreads! They were inside the hoods of the machines they'd made – massive metal things on legs! Giant machines that walked – they attacked us! They wiped us out!

Journalist: Machines?

Artilleryman: Fighting Machines! Picking up men and bashing 'em against trees. Just hunks of metal, with large splash of Jellys on the Fighting Machines but they knew exactly what they were doing.

Journalist: Mmm. There was another cylinder came last night.

Artilleryman: Yes. it looked bound for London.

Journalist: London! Carrie! I hadn't dreamed there could be danger to Carrie and her father, so many miles away. I must go to London at once.

Artilleryman: And me. Got to report to Headquarters – if there's anything left of it.

Journalist: [as narrator] At Byfleet we came upon an Inn, but it was deserted.

Artilleryman: Is everybody dead?

Journalist: Not everybody. Look! Six cannons with gunners standing by.

Artilleryman: It's bows and arrows against the lightning. They haven't seen the Heat Ray yet.

Journalist: [as narrator] We hurried along the road to Weybridge. Suddenly, there was a heavy explosion. The ground heaved, windows shattered and gusts of smoke erupted into the air.

Artilleryman: Look! There they are! What did I tell you?

Journalist: [as narrator] Quickly, one after the other, four of the Fighting Machines appeared. Monstrous tripods, higher than the tallest steeple, striding over the pine trees and smashing them. Walking engines of glittering metal. Each carried a huge funnel and I realized with horror that I'd seen this awful thing before. A fifth Machine appeared on the far bank. It raised itself to full height, flourished the funnel high in the air – and the ghostly, terrible Heat Ray struck the town. As it struck, all five Fighting Machines exulted, emitting deafening howls which roared like thunder.

Jelly walkers: Ulla! Ulla!

Journalist: [as narrator] The six guns we had seen now fired simultaneously, decapitating a Fighting Machine. The jelly walker inside the hood was slain, splashed to the four winds, and the body, nothing now but an intricate device of metal, went whirling to destruction. As the other Monsters advanced, people ran away blindly, the Artilleryman among them, but I jumped into the water and hid until forced up to breathe. Now the guns spoke again, but this time the Heat Ray sent them to oblivion.

jelly walkers: Ulla!

Journalist: [as narrator] With a white flash, the Heat Ray swept across the river. Scalded, half-blinded and agonized, I staggered through leaping, hissing water towards the shore. I fell helplessly, in full sight of the jelly walkers, expecting nothing but death. The foot of a Fighting Machine came down close to my head, then lifted again, as the four jelly walkers carried away the debris of their fallen comrade… and I realized that by a miracle, I had escaped.

Show Forever Autumn

Journalist: [as narrator] For three days I fought my way along roads packed with refugees, the homeless, burdened with boxes and bundles containing their valuables. All that was of value to me was in London, but by the time I reached their little red-brick house, Carrie and her father were gone.

The summer sun is fading as the year grows old

Journalist: [as narrator] Fire suddenly leapt from house to house, the population panicked and ran – and I was swept along with them, aimless and lost without Carrie. Finally, I headed Eastward for the ocean, and my only hope of survival – a boat out of England.

Journalist: [as narrator] As I hastened through Covent Garden, Blackfriars and Billingsgate, more and more people joined the painful exodus. Sad, weary women, their children stumbling and streaked with tears, their men bitter and angry, the rich rubbing shoulders with beggars and outcasts. Dogs snarled and whined, the horses' bits were covered with foam… and here and there were wounded soldiers, as helpless as the rest. We saw tripods wading up the Thames, cutting through bridges as though they were paper – Waterloo Bridge, Westminster Bridge. One appeared above Big Ben.

jelly walkers: Ulla!

Journalist: [as narrator] Never before in the history of the world had such a mass of human beings moved and suffered together. This was no disciplined march – it was a stampede – without order and without a goal, six million people unarmed and unprovisioned, driving headlong. It was the beginning of the rout of civilization, of the massacre of mankind. A vast crowd buffeted me towards the already packed steamer. I looked up enviously at those safely on board – straight into the eyes of my beloved Carrie! At sight of me she began to fight her way along the packed deck to the gangplank. At that very moment it was raised, and I caught a last glimpse of her despairing face as the crowd swept me away from her.

Journalist: [as narrator] The steamer began to move slowly away – but on the landward horizon appeared the silhouette of a Fighting Machine. Another came, and another, striding over hills and trees, plunging far out to sea and blocking the exit of the steamer. Between them lay the silent, grey Ironclad Thunder Child. Slowly it moved towards shore; then, with a deafening roar and whoosh of spray, it swung about and drove at full speed towards the waiting jelly walkers.

There were ships of shapes and sizes
Scattered out along the bay
And I thought I heard her calling
As the steamer pulled away

The Invaders must have seen them
As across the coast they filed
Standing firm between them
There lay Thunder Child

Moving swiftly through the waters
Cannons blazing as she came
Brought a mighty metal warlord
Crashing down in sheets of flame

Journalist: [as narrator] The Martians released their Black Smoke, but the ship sped on, cutting down one of the tripod figures. Instantly, the others raised their Heat Rays and melted the Thunder Child's valiant heart.

Dashing hopes for our deliverance
As we watched the sinking wreck

Journalist: [as narrator] When the smoke cleared, the little steamer had reached the misty horizon, and Carrie was safe. But the Thunder Child had vanished taking with her man's last hope of victory. The leaden sky was lit by green flashes, cylinder following cylinder, and no one and nothing was left now to fight them. The Earth belonged to the jelly wakers.

jelly wakers: Ulla!

Show The Spirit of Man

Journalist: [as narrator] Next day, the dawn was a brilliant, fiery red and I wandered through the weird and lurid landscape of another planet; for the vegetation which gives Mars its red appearance had taken root on Earth. As Man had succumbed to the jelly walkers, so our land now succumbed to the Red Weed. Wherever there was a stream, the Red Weed clung and grew with frightening voraciousness, its claw-like fronds choking the movement of the water; and then it began to creep like a slimy red animal across the land, covering field and ditch and tree and hedgerow with living scarlet feelers, crawling, crawling!

Journalist: [as narrator] I suddenly noticed the body of a Parson, lying on the ground in a ruined churchyard. I felt unable to leave him to the mercy of the Red Weed and decided to bury him decently.

Beth: Nathaniel! Nathaniel!

Journalist: [as narrator] The Parson's eyes flickered open. He was alive!

Beth: Nathaniel! I saw the church burst into flame! Are you all right?

Parson: Don't touch me!

Beth: But it's me – Beth. Your wife.

Parson: No. You're one of them. A devil!

Beth: But they're not devils – they're. Jelly Walkers.

Journalist: Yes, they came from Mars, not from God.

Parson: Lies! I saw the devil's sign.

Beth: What are you saying?

Parson: The green flash in the sky. His demons were here all along in our hearts and souls – just waiting for a sign from him. And now they're destroying our world.

Beth: [to Journalist] He's delirious!

Journalist: Now pull yourself together, man. What good is religion if it fails you in a calamity?

Parson: It was I who failed. After all my promises, I couldn't help the people when they needed me.

Journalist: Take heart, you'll have the chance again.

Parson: No.

Journalist: We must leave here. now!

Beth: Look! A house still standing! Come, Nathaniel, quickly!

Journalist: [as narrator] We took shelter in a cottage and Black Smoke spread, hemming us in. Then a Fighting Machine came across the fields, spraying jets of steam that turned the smoke into thick, black dust.

jelly walkers: Ulla!

Beth: Dear God – help us!

Parson: The voice of the devil is heard in our land!

Listen, do you hear them drawing near, in their search for the sinners?
Feeding on the power of our fear and the evil within us?
Incarnation of Satan's creation of all that we dread

Parson: Dear God! A cylinder's landed on the house! And we are underneath it – in the pit!

Journalist: [as narrator] The jelly walkers spent the night making a new machine. It was a squat, metallic spider with huge, articulated claws – but it, too, had a hood in which a jelly walker sat. I watched it pursuing some people across a field. It caught them nimbly and tossed them into a great metal basket upon its back.

Parson: Beth! She's dead! Buried under the rubble. Why? Satan! Why did you take one of your own?

Journalist: [as narrator] As time passed in our dark and dusty prison, the Parson wrestled endlessly with his doubts. His outcries invited death for us both – and yet I pitied him. Then, on the ninth day, we saw the Martians eating. Inside the hood of their new machine, they were drawing the fresh, living blood of men and women and injecting it into their own veins.

Parson: Aaah! It's a sign! I've been given a sign! They must be cast out, and I have been chosen to do it! I must confront them now!
Journalist: No, Parson, no!

Parson: Those machines are just demons in another form! I shall destroy them with my prayers! I shall burn them with my Holy Cross! I shall–

Journalist: [as narrator] The curious eye of a jelly walker appeared at the window slit, and a menacing claw explored the room. I dragged the Parson down to the coal cellar. I heard the Martian fumbling at the latch. In the darkness I could see the claw touching things: walls, coal, wood. And then, it touched my boot. I almost shouted. For a time it was still, and then, with a click, it gripped something: the Parson! With slow, deliberate movements, his unconscious body was dragged away, and there was nothing I could do to prevent it.

Show Brave New World

Journalist: [as narrator] I crept to the blocked window slit and peered through the creeper. The Martians, and all their machinery, had gone! Trembling, I dug my way out and clambered to the top of the mound: not a Martian in sight! The day seemed dazzling bright after my imprisonment and the sky a glowing blue. Red weed covered every scrap of ground but a gentle breeze kept it swaying, and oh, the sweetness of the air.
Again, I was on my way to London through towns and villages that were blackened ruins, totally silent, desolated, deserted. Man's empire had passed away, taken swiftly and without error by these creatures who were composed entirely of brain. Unhampered by the complex systems which make up man, they made and used different bodies according to their needs. They never tired, never slept, and never suffered, having long since eliminated from their planet the bacteria which cause all fevers and other morbidities.

Artilleryman: Halt! Who goes there?

Journalist: Er, a friend.

Artilleryman: Be on your way. This is my territory.

Journalist: Your territory? What do you mean?

Artilleryman: Wait a minute… it's you! The man from Maybury Hill!

Journalist: Good heavens! The Artilleryman! I thought you'd surely burned.

Artilleryman: I thought you'd surely drowned.

Journalist: Have you seen any Martians?

Artilleryman: Everywhere. We're done for, all right.

Journalist: We can't just give up.

Artilleryman: 'Course we can't. It's now that we've got to start fighting. Not against them, cause we can't win. Now, we've got to fight for survival. I reckon we can make it. I've got a plan.

Artilleryman: We're gonna build a whole new world for ourselves. Look, they clap eyes on us and we're dead, right? So we gotta make a new life where they'll never find us. You know where? Underground. You should see it down there – hundreds of miles of drains – sweet and clean now after the rain, dark, quiet, safe. We can build houses and everything, start again from scratch. And what's so bad about living underground, eh? It's not been so great living up here, if you want my opinion.

Artilleryman: We'll build shops and hospitals and barracks right under their noses, right under their feet! Everything we need – banks, prisons and schools. We'll build villages and towns and… and… we'll play each other at cricket! Listen, maybe one day we'll capture a Fighting Machine, eh? Learn how to make 'em ourselves and then wallop! Our turn to do some wiping out! Whoosh with our Heat Ray – whoosh! And them running and dying, beaten at their own game. Man on top again!

Artilleryman: I've got a plan! Can't you just see it? Civilization starting all over again, a second chance. We'll even build a railway, and tunnel to the coast, go there for our holidays. Nothing can stop men like us. I've made a start already. Come on down here and have a look.

Journalist: [as narrator] In the cellar was a tunnel scarcely ten yards long, that had taken him a week to dig. I could have dug that much in a day, and I suddenly had my first inkling of the gulf between his dreams and his powers.

Artilleryman: It's doing the working and the thinking that wears a fellow out. I'm ready for a bit of a rest. How about a drink, eh? Nothing but champagne; now I'm the boss.

Journalist: [as narrator] We drank and then he insisted upon playing cards. With our species on the edge of extermination, with no prospect but a horrible death, we actually played games. Later, he talked more of his plan, but I saw flames flashing in the deep blue night. Red Weed glowing, tripod figures moving distantly, and I put down my champagne glass. I felt a traitor to my kind and I knew I must leave this strange dreamer.

Show Dead London

Journalist: [as narrator] There were a dozen dead bodies in the Euston Road, their outlines softened by the Black Dust. All was still, houses locked and empty, shops closed, but looters had helped themselves to wine and food, and outside a jewellers, some gold chains and a watch were scattered on the pavement.

jelly wakers: Ulla!

Journalist: [as narrator] I stopped, staring towards the sound. It seemed as if that mighty desert of houses had found a voice for its fear and solitude.

jelly wakers: Ulla!

Journalist: [as narrator] The desolating cry worked upon my mind. The wailing took possession of me. I was intensely weary, footsore, hungry and thirsty. Why was I wandering alone in this city of the dead? Why was I alive, when London was lying in state in its black shroud? I felt intolerably lonely, drifting from street to empty street, drawn inexorably towards that cry.

jelly walkers: Ulla!

Journalist: [as narrator] I saw, over the trees on Primrose Hill, the Fighting Machine from which the howling came. I crossed Regents Canal. There stood a second machine, upright, but as still as the first.

jelly walkers: Ulla! Ul–

Journalist: [as narrator] Abruptly, the sound ceased. Suddenly, the desolation, the solitude, became unendurable. While that voice sounded, London had still seemed alive. Now suddenly, there was a change, the passing of something – and all that remained was this gaunt quiet. I looked up and saw a third machine. It was erect and motionless, like the others. An insane resolve possessed me, I would give my life to the jelly walkers, here and now. I marched recklessly towards the Titan and saw that a multitude of black birds was circling and clustering about the hood. I began running along the road. I felt no fear, only a wild, trembling exultation, as I ran up the hill towards, the motionless monster. Out of the hood hung red shreds, at which the hungry birds now pecked and tore. I scrambled up to the crest of Primrose Hill, and the Martian's camp was below me. A mighty space it was, and scattered about it, in their overturned machines, were the jelly walkers – dead… slain, after all man's devices had failed, by the humblest things upon the Earth, Bacteria. Minute, invisible, bacteria! Directly the Invaders arrived and drank and fed; our microscopic allies attacked them. From that moment – they were doomed!

The torment was ended. The people scattered over the country, desperate, leaderless, starved… the thousands who had fled by sea, including the one most dear to me, all would return. The pulse of life, growing stronger and stronger, would beat again. As life returns to normal, the question of another attack from Mars causes universal concern. Is our planet safe, or is this time of peace merely a reprieve? It may be that, across the immensity of space, they have learned their lessons and even now await their opportunity. Perhaps the future belongs not to us – but to the Jelly wakers?

The general image of SCP-XXXX.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is not yet contained, but agents are dispatched to police units around the world to be among the first at a crime scenes, where the bodies of victims are found, turned into human-size dolls. Periodic inspections of psychology offices and psychiatric hospitals are also conducted, to find people with symptoms that indicate they may be targeted by SCP-XXXX. This is important to prevent further incidents and to attempt capturing SCP-XXXX while it attacks, for only then the entity is fully active and visible for an extended period of time.

Since the beginning of 2021, the Foundation has been working with an inter-dimensional 'police unit' that is chasing SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a ghost-like entity, wearing a long black hooded cloak. The hood always effectively hides the face, showing only the darkness where the forehead and eyes should be, sometimes the outline of a black cloth mask hiding the other half of the face can be seen from closer distance. During attack the eyes are becoming visible, glowing in white color, with no pupils, and looking at them makes the victim paralyzed. Under the cloak, there is at least one octopus-like tentacle, black in color, covered with transparent mucus that have no odor. It is likely the same substance that SCP-XXXX uses to preserve the body of a victim. The entity appears as a slim, tall (around 2 meters in height) figure with broad shoulders, and does not communicate verbally, only telepathically, but can also write. SCP-XXXX body often appears translucent, especially when viewed from a distance.

The contents of the note found near one of the victims indicate that the entity has a human-like intelligence, but a completely different concept of morality, while demonstrating elements of psychopathic behavior. The entity described itself as an artist, wanting to create art, saying it gives humans eternal life and beauty, which they seek for so much. Victims are usually between 16-30 years old, always can be considered beautiful, since this entity wants to create 'art' that will be admired by humans, so targets victims fitting our standards. According to the contact with "Guards of the Worlds Order", it has been confirmed that SCP-XXXX comes from the different dimension and moves between them, 'creating its art', that's why attacks by SCP-XXXX in our world occur at uneven intervals - sometimes several times a month or only few times a year

The operation of SCP-XXXX is as follows: the entity selects a victim, follows for some time, making slightly paranoid. First, the victim only feels as being followed, then begins to see SCP-XXXX, always in the distance, whose figure, however, is translucent and quickly disappears, usually resulting in the victims feeling as if they are losing their mind. One week after first seeing of SCP-XXXX, person is attacked and turned into a human-size doll. SCP-XXXX uses a transparent substance of unknown origin to preserve the body, preventing it from rotting even after several hundred years. According to an investigation, the first victims began to appear in the Ancient Era, with some bodies found and secured by the Foundation. The victims of the SCP-XXXX that had been turned into human-sized dolls are referred to as SCP-XXXX-01 instances.

It's unknown whether the victims are dead or not - despite bodies seem to be dead, there's some consciousness left, trying to communicate telepathically. Sometimes the Foundation staff, being near the room containing SCP-XXXX-01, can hear cry for help in their heads, and the voices very accurately describe one of the victims' personal details. As this gives hope to save SCP-XXXX-01 instances, research is underway to find an effective way to get rid of the substance covering their bodies.

Addendum XXXX-001: Cases connected to SCP-XXXX came into the Foundation's attention in 2019, when information about some unsolved investigations around the world, from a period of about 10 years, in which victims were turned into dolls, was brought to the Foundation by ██████ ███████, paranormal investigator from the ██████ ███████ governmental agency. The man, despite many efforts, was unable to solve any of the cases, so reached one of the Foundation agents and handed over to him all the materials he collected so far. The Foundation began to investigate more further into the matter, finding out about the existence of SCP-XXXX.

Addendum XXXX-002: On 06/01/2020 a Foundation staff member, Agent ██████, found out that his sister sought the help of a psychologist after she began to feel that was being followed, then began to see the figure similar to SCP-XXXX. Agent ██████ reacted quickly, and his sister was taken into the Foundation custody. Researchers hoped that by setting the woman as a bait, the Foundation would be able to somehow capture the entity. Unfortunately, after two weeks in Foundation custody, Agent ██████'s sister stopped seeing SCP-XXXX and at the same time ███ ███████ Police found another doll-turned body. Foundation agents dispatched to the scene found a note nearby the victim's body, most likely written by SCP-XXXX.

Addendum XXXX-003: On 12/02/2020 Agent █████ has been observing one of the young women who came to a psychiatrist with symptoms suggesting the SCP-XXXX activity, 22-years-old Evelyn █████, and witnessed the attack of the entity on the woman, luckily managing to save her. However, SCP-XXXX fled before the MTF reached the scene. Agent █████ who saved Evelyn █████ said that the bullets he shot in the direction of SCP-XXXX seemed to fly through its body, confirming the ghost-like structure of the entity.

The attacked woman was taken into Foundation custody and provided some useful information about SCP-XXXX during questioning.

Foreword: Right after the attack of SCP-XXXX and being brought to the Foundation facility, Evelyn █████ was taken care of by the psychiatrist and later, when she felt better, was questioned about the incident by Agent ███████.

Evelyn █████: I'm fine now and I can talk.

Interviewer: All right then. From the information we gathered, you have been experiencing odd psychological symptoms lately, that's why you were seeking the psychiatric help. Is that correct?

Evelyn █████: That's right.

Interviewer: What exactly were the symptoms?

Evelyn █████: At first I just had an odd feeling that someone follows me from time to time, but never seen anybody. Few days later I started seeing this weird creature, always somewhere in the distance. It looked like a ghost because its body seemed slightly translucent, but aside that it looked like a human, only wearing a hooded cloak and much taller than average person, at least 190 centimetres in height, had a mask over its face. When I started seeing this thing, I decided to consult a psychiatrist. Today it's been a week since I first saw this creature, and it attacked me… This is the first time I saw this thing up close…
The woman shows clear signs of nervousness and fear.

Interviewer: I understand. Can you tell me exactly what happened when you have been attacked today, before our agent saved you?

Evelyn █████: Well… From what I can remember, this thing bent over me… Then I heard its voice in my head, something like a telepathic message… It told me not to resist, because I have the honor of becoming a work of art. Then, in the darkness under the hood, I saw two glowing eyes, completely white, with no pupils… When I looked into those eyes, I couldn't move… Like I've been completely paralyzed. At the same time something like an octopus tentacle, but all black, slipped out from under that black cloak. This tentacle was all covered with some kind of… transparent mucus that had no odor at all. But before the tentacle could touch me, this man broke open the door, got into my apartment and started shooting at this creature, then it escaped through the window.

Interviewer: Mrs █████, up close, apart from those eyes, did you see any facial features or hair under the hood?

Evelyn █████: No, I couldn't see any facial features or hair. The only thing that caught my eye was the black material mask that covered the lower part of the face.

Interviewer: I also would like to ask if, from the moment of the attack until now, have you seen this creature nearby?

Evelyn █████: No, I haven't seen it even once since the failed attack.

Interviewer: I understand. Then that will be all on my part, unless you have something else to add.

Evelyn █████: I just wanted to ask how long will you keep me here…

Interviewer: At least for a week, because we have to make sure that there won't be another attack. We know from experience that if your symptoms won't return for another week, it will be safe to let you go, Mrs █████. Hope you understand, it's for your own safety.

Closing Statement: Following the questioning, Evelyn █████ was placed in one of the rooms where she is to be kept under constant surveillance, especially because, since the entity attack, the Foundation has not received any information about another victim to be targeted in her place, indicating that SCP-XXXX may attempt to attack again.

Addendum XXXX-004: Examination of the mucus samples that SCP-XXXX left at the site of the attack and comparison to the substance covering all instances of SCP-XXXX-01 showed that it has the same structure, which confirms that the mentioned mucus is indeed used to preserve the victims bodies and therefore turn into a human-sized dolls.

Research is also ongoing to check the possibilities of influencing the structure of the mucus and therefore releasing SCP-XXXX-01 instances from the effects of the substance covering their bodies.

Addendum XXXX-005: In beginning of 2021, the Foundation has been contacted by inter-dimensional 'police unit', called "Guards of the Worlds Order", that is chasing SCP-XXXX. Hologram 'messenger' suddenly appeared in the room where O5 members were gathered. The entity was like a human in terms of body proportions and height, only on the face it had a black mask completely covering the face and head, there was also no trace of hair. It was dressed in a knee-length black coat, pants and officer's boots, had a badge on the chest similar to those used by the police in our world, but with unknown symbols engraved on it. The entity conveyed a message to the Foundation. See Document XXXX-002 for more details.

Afterwards, Foundation agreed to work together with the "Guards of the Worlds Order" to capture and contain SCP-XXXX.

Addendum XXXX-006: Based on the information contained in the message from "Guards of the Worlds Order", its quite obvious that SCP-XXXX wanders between dimensions, which explains the irregular pattern of attacks noticed by the Foundation. This means that in the interval between attacks by SCP-XXXX in our world, the entity most likely moves to another dimension to 'create art' there.

When an instance of SCP-XXXX is detected, the road in which the instance has occurred is to be cordoned off for road work 2 km each side of the instance and agents are to monitor all incoming vehicles to the location. Agents are to wave off vehicles that try to stay on the road in the exclusion zone. Two teams of two agents posing as State Troopers or local law enforcement, with rations to last a period of 8 hours, are to be on standby to recover any civilians who enter SCP-XXXX. Depending on the weather and temperature in the area, other equipment is permitted to be used inside SCP-XXXX. If the civilians are recovered then B grade amnestics are to be administered to prevent the spread of knowledge about SCP-XXXX.

Description:
SCP-XXXX is an extra-dimensional space that appears spontaneously in various locations across the earth that lasts between 12-83 hours before spontaneously disappearing. Entry into SCP-XXXX is through an unseen point on the road but only from heading east to west, this is believed to be how SCP-XXXX-2 first entered SCP-XXXX.This extra-dimensional space is identical to its location within our dimension, sharing the same environment however the further travelled from the point of entry into this space the more obscure the surrounding area becomes. Time has been observed to either pass very slowly or not at all within the extra-dimensional space. Within the space, there is no observed fauna or human life except for SCP-XXXX-2.

The locations of all instances of SCP-XXXX all share similarities in being isolated highways or motorways being over 38 km away from the closest town, city, or residence. SCP-XXXX instances have never been observed to occur in the same location twice.

SCP-XXXX-2 is a male humanoid entity of caucasian descent in their early 30s standing 1.73 meters in height. The entity wears well-worn hiking boots, a pair of faded blue jeans, and a dirty maroon flannel shirt. The entity appears to also wear a black cap, with a maroon B embroidered onto the front, depending on the weather conditions in the locations of its appearance. There are a small number of scars spread out across the entity’s lower jaw, resembling cuts caused from shaving. The entity has short brown hair, which is worn in no particular style.

SCP-XXXX-2 has been identified as missing person David Ray Stratmore who went missing on 05/11/1947 walking between his bus stop and house. Post-action reports submitted by members of MTF Iota-12 indicate that SCP-XXXX-2 has not displayed any signs of physical aging since 05/11/1947. See Exploration Log XXXX-13. Whether or not time progresses differently in SCP-XXXX is still yet to be determined and requires further testing and exploration.

Special Containnment Procedures: SCP-5942 can only be accessed by Level-█ and upper levels of SCP Hierarchy, and it shall be guarded by 2 SCP Field Agents at all times, picked randomly, with shift-rotation at ██:██ ██. After the end of each shift, all SCP Field Agents involved shall have their memories erased from the moment they were assigned to the shift. A Field Agent cannot work 2 shifts in a row, and so, each shift should be separated by a timespan of 5 days to avoid any possible neurological damage. All personnel that is found trying to access SCP-5942 without prior authorization from Level-█ or upper levels of SCP Hierarchy, shall be detained and interrogated. If no collaboration is made in the Interrogation, the detainee shall be executed, due to the matter that there is no information on how the detainee got his information and when, making the erasing of the memory useless. Due to the nature of the SCP in question, all personnel who is allowed to research SCP-5942 cannot carry any objects with them unless authorized by Dr.██████, and such research must be accompanied by the Doctor earlier mentioned. SCP-5942 shall be put on a stainless steel table, on the middle of a 5mx5mx3m, climate-controlled room at Site ██.

Description: SCP-5942 is a red and white Purse, made by ███ ███ ████████. It is estimated that it was made between the 1960's and 1980's [CARBON DATING STUDY - AWAITING ANALYSIS AND APPROVAL BY DR.██████]. The Purse has the manufacturer's markings, and it is possible to evidence several use marks. It is known that it was part of a Collection released to the Public, yet it is not known how and why this purse has such characteristics. It is made out of leather, and has a zipper on top, which grants access to the interior of the purse. A Carbon-Dating Study has found that the leather used in the purse is from the same time as the manufacturing of such.

Upon inspecting the interior of SCP-5942, it can be possible to witness some sort of portal which leads to, possibly, another place on Earth, or even maybe another Planet or Dimension [VOLUNTEERING STUDY - AWAITING FOR THE APPROVAL BY ██-█████ TO USE PATIENT D-████]. Photos of the content have been taken, but are currently Confidential. The only information that can be released is that it is similar, in some way, to our Day/Night Cycle, and Ecossystem. It has been possible to witness Trees, Dirt, Grass, Light and Darkness, Wind and Rain, although some of these mentioned forms appear to be modified/distorted from our reality, hence why the possibility of being another Planet or even Dimension has been taken into consideration. There hasn't been any contact with communicating life-form, or even the eyesight of one.

Acquisition: SCP-5942 was obtained and taken into the Foundation's care upon the possible correlation between SCP-5942 and several cases of missing people, in the region of ████████. According to Police Records [RELEASED TO PUBLIC], SCP-5942 was sold initially by a Woman called ███████. The first person to buy it, Mr. ████, bought the so-called purse for ██ euros. 2 days later, the disappearing of Mr. ████ had been reported to the Local Authorities, and the location of the purse was unknown. After interrogating the Seller, such admitted that the purse was seen a block away from her stand, and, with no sight from the buyer, for a total of 10 minutes, presumed that the content had been abandoned, and so retrieved it, for later to be sold again. The same cycle continued, and until SCP's interference on the investigations, a total of 10 people had disappeared, including the original owner, ███████, and a second owner (after the disappearing of the first), her son, ███████. Due to the age of this purse, possibly more people could have disappeared, yet, only the earlier mentioned number could be directly linked.

We reached the conclusion that this disappearing can be related with the 7 disappearings that have happened this month. We decided not to confiscate the purse due to the fact that the court must be contacted, and we must be allowed authorization for such. We decided not to interrogate Mr. ████████, since we do not believe that he had anything to do with the missing, and the fact there is a significant lack of evidence.".
