Special Containment Procedures

Civilians are, through fictitious culture insertions, ensured SCP-XXXX is a part of Scandinavian folklore. Any suspicious activity conducted by SCP-XXXX within Swedish society is to be immediately rejected as superstition. To uncover SCP-XXXX, geological detail survey programmes are conducted continuously to uncover anomalous changes in Scandinavian biotopes.

Description

SCP-XXXX denotes a species populating major parts of the Scandinavian peninsula particularly in temperate coniferous forests as well as the Scandinavian Mountains. The total population of species is unknown as of the 1960s, when an instance of SCP-XXXX was last recorded.

The species, while similar to humans, posses ontokinetic abilities that allow them to manipulate organic and geological material in their surroundings.

Up until the mid-20th century the existence of SCP-XXXX was common knowledge among the Scandinavian population. As the SCP Foundation established their presence in Scandinavia during the 1920s, a search for the population was warranted. Due to the difficulties of searching for entities able to conceal its presence, it would take until the 1930s before an individual, hereby SCP-XXXX-A, was contained. Reports from Foundation agents could confirm thaumaturgic activity from an instance contained at a ‘lunatic asylum’ in the south of Sweden. The instance was confirmed to be an instance of SCP-XXXX and contained at Site-80 until 1959.

Addendum XXXX-A: Memorandum, 4th of April 1938

Dear all,

I feel obligated to inform the department on the latest safety protocols on site. The entity contained earlier this week is likely a member of the species designated as SCP-XXXX. It was located in a lunatic asylum based in Lund, Skåne after reportedly engaging a thaumaturgic process of unknown nature.

Caution is highly advised. Any interaction with the entity in question will be restricted to personnel with clearance level 3 and above. Thaumaturgical or reality-bending abilities that the concerned species possess are as of yet unknown, however we have reasons to believe that the entities have exercised thaumaturgy in Scandinavia for a long time.

Thereby, I have decided to devote the entire efforts of Department B to the containment of this entity until other containment procedures are found.

Sincerely,

Dr. Sven Linde
Research Lead

Addendum XXXX-B: Interrogation Log, 6th of April, 1938

Interrogated: SCP-XXXX-A

Interrogator: Dr. Linde

Foreword: Interrogation conducted within separated chambers with the interviewer voiced over the telecom.

[BEGIN LOG]

[Linde takes a deep breath.]

Dr. Linde: State your name please.

SCP-XXXX-A: Come down and talk to me lil' one.

Dr. Linde: We just need your name.

SCP-XXXX-A: Hmm. Trula I was called, long time they use it. Hmmm. A voice with no face is not very nice, lil one, where are you?"

Dr. Linde: Unfortunately, I am not able to come down right now. I just want to ask a couple of questions.

SCP-XXXX-A: What you ask of me lil' one?

Dr. Linde: I would like to know what you did at Vipeholm.1

SCP-XXXX-A: Hmm.

[Trula sighs.]

SCP-XXXX-A: Why lil' one do you want walls around me? It feels-

Dr. Linde: It is merely a safety precaution. If you help us with some information about what you can do we might not even need the walls.

SCP-XXXX-A: Hmm… Even the walls outside of the walls?

[The wall brittles as Trula touches it.]

Dr. Linde: Merely a safety precaution. Now h-

SCP-XXXX-A: What fear you lil' one? If you want me to stay here maybe I can.

Dr. Linde: Then I wish you to stay. How about you tell m-

[Trula grunts and impatiently taps the wall, resulting in more debris on the floor.]

SCP-XXXX-A: Hrmpff. You… "wish me to stay"? I can stay, but I am missing a kind word. I do not like when ones are not kind. I can leave, but what if it turns out lil' one is kind?

Dr. Linde: I…

[The telecom is activated during a moment of silence.]

Dr. Linde: Would you please stay here?

[Trula smirks.]

SCP-XXXX-A: Mmm, that is very kind lil' one. Now you can give me questions.

PUBLIC WARNING

TROLLDOM NEAR YOU?

The safety of the Swedish people has always been the highest concern for SIRB.2 That is why we during the last twenty years have devoted ourselves to ridding our beautiful landscape of any witchcraft. This is your reminder that you have an obligation to report to your local official when encountering any suspected magic activity or suspicious individuals in your area. Remember, that they are as easily disguised among your own people as they are in the forests.

Deliver these messages to your children. Children are easily deceived by bewitching creatures and are often oblivious to eventual trolls among their friends. Make sure your child is socializing with the right kind.

Root%20Trolls

Beware as you saunter the woods, for the creatures may as well be below your feet.

Note: The detainments that Swedish authorities are executing have not helped. With earlier influence over SIRB, the SCP Foundation could have handled the situation much better. We have after all long had a relationship with the entity.

— Dr. Linde.

Addendum XXXX-D: Interrogation Log, 11th of April, 1938

Interrogated: SCP-XXXX-A

Interrogator: Dr. Sven Linde

[OPEN LOG]

Dr. Linde: Are you ready to uhh, proceed..?

Dr. Linde: Now-

[The telecom shuts down. The ground shakes. The concrete wall separating Linde from the chamber brittles down, revealing Linde sitting on a chair, seemingly frozen in place. A siren sounds. Trula walks up close to Linde and smiles down at him.]

SCP-XXXX-A: We know you.

[The chamber seems to collapse and open up, with a bright light revealing a blue sky above and tree trunks forcing through the surrounding walls. The floor turns into a pool of mud, that soon sinks down into thick moss, spreading out and filliling the chamber. The ground has become irregular and a scene of a dense pine forest has erupted. Trula finds a stone to sit down on.]

SCP-XXXX-A: This is home lil' man. I hope you do not care for where questions are asked. You do not need your soldiers here.

Dr. Linde: Are we somewhere else… Can I get out of here?

SCP-XXXX-A: No… Too bad we are not. You can leave when you wish.

Dr. Linde: Is this what you can do? Affect your environment?

SCP-XXXX-A: Huhu, mmm. I am one with it.

[Trula places a hand on a nearby trunk whereby the hand merges with the wood. They break it loose and grin at Linde who is still sitting on his chair, sunken down in the deep moss.]

SCP-XXXX-A: Come on! Don't sit down there, I will show you the many good things here, much better than the 'foodies' that you have in your pots and pans.

[Trula shows off her wooded hand where a number of carpenter ants roam around. Linde is forced to lean back in disgust as Trula gestures in front of his face.]

SCP-XXXX-A: No? Okay. Mmm…

[Linde looks around with a sense of urgency to get a grasp of any way of escaping the scene.]

Dr. Linde: Uhh, I…. Uhm… Really need t-

SCP-XXXX-A: Mmm. Hum, mama came home with deeries sometimes. Have you tried deeries l'man? Best filled with the juicy wriggling things… Yum.

Dr. Linde: 'Mama'?

SCP-XXXX-A: Mama, good raiser of us. She took all good things home to us.

Dr. Linde: Did you… By 'us', uh, do you mean you had a family?

Trula meets Linde's eyes with a yellow gaze.

SCP-XXXX-A: I had.

[Linde's chair breaks apart and lands him on a rock, risen from below. The deep moss of the surrounding area seem to rise up and form the headdress of meter-sized rocks. Some of the pine-trees fall backwards revealing two boulders towering up to the sky. A dark crack is visible between the boulders. A sound starts emanating from the depths of the cave. Trula lets out a laugh.]

SCP-XXXX-A: Here they come!

[Linde is rushed to the side by Trula as a pack of naked long-haired people run out of the cave and onto the mossy stones. One of the larger sits down on a rock nearby with a keyed fiddle in their hands. A tune is played while a few of the trolls starts singing and smacking their hands on hollow tree trunks. Romping and dancing about, a circle is formed.]

Trolls: Hey-hoo! Lev- lev- a hej! We are the forest trolls, not as cold as the mountain trolls! Hey-hoo! Lev- lev- a hej! We don't bite, no, we don't bite! Unless you have a feisty temper! Hey-ho!

SCP-XXXX-A: Hey-ho! Ha-ha! And now, bring in the friends!

[Trula turns around, greeting three children, possibiy between the ages of 9 and 12. who run through their bodies and into the ring.]

Dr. Linde: Wha-

Trolls: And now, we greet our good ol' friends, our good ol' friends. Lev- Lev- a hej! Dance with the forest trolls, not as cold as the mountain trolls! Hey-hoo! Lev- lev- a hej!

[The three children look up to the gleeful trolls who have circled around them, clapping their hands.]

SCP-XXXX-A: Yes, we know you.

[The children take each other's hands and swing to the music, laughing as they do.]

SCP-XXXX-A: And you know us.

Trolls: Heeey! Dance with the forest trolls, not as cold as the mountain trolls! Hey-hoo! lev- lev- a hej! These friends don't have a feisty temper! Hey-hoo! Lev- lev- a hej!

[The music is silenced. Linde is shocked to find Trula turned towards him. The trolls are gone. Linde's eyes are visibly teary.]

Dr. Linde: I never… Uhh, truly understood… Who I would believe…

[Through a matter of seconds, tree trunks break and fall. Linde is startled away from the trees. A loud screeching noise accompanies the trees getting sawed down. Wood chips rain over the pair while the stones covering ground crack and turn into gravel, the moss dies out and left of the scene is a patch of gravel with tufts of grass.]

Dr. Linde: What is this Trula?

SCP-XXXX-A: After they took mama and Truls and Grum and Töll and Barr, I ran. They found me hiding. They took me in children's home where no one had a mama. This is the place where there is no juicy things, no dance and no life. They were mean to me. When I tried to create life…

[The grass tufts starts to momentarily grow in volume and with longer grass and different types of wildflowers.]

SCP-XXXX-A: …they took me away to that experiment house.

Dr. Linde: Vipeholm.

[The concrete walls are suddenly back, security guard successfully break into the chamber and remove Linde.]

Addendum XXXX-E: Research Log, 13th of April, 1938

THE LABOURER

Friday 3rd of May, 1938

TERROR AT VIPEHOLM
Patients defenseless against keepers.
Vipeholm%20Edited

Vipeholm institution for the insane. It's raining outside, all patients are seated along the corridor walls, no movement is permitted. After a few hours a patient stands up to walk about, gestures and talks to himself. It doesn't take long before he is on the floor with tied hands. For twenty minutes the keeper keeps him that way, now and then he twists the wrists of the patient. The patient moans and spits blood on the floor. He's finally released, "There's no use anyway." the keeper tells his colleague. "The only thing that helps is putting him in the laundry room in cold water. That usually shuts him up for a few days."

A local medical student, Anders Gren, described this situation after his two month internship at the institution. It was shattering, he said. Never did he presuppose that there would be so much suffering and terror brought upon patients by sadistic personnel.

Belonging to the institution are three two-floored barracks that serves as the tipping point for those who do not fit in ordinary forms of treatment. Patients that have been found obnoxious or disrupting in general at other institutions are especially concerned. The easiest to discipline are placed in barrack A, which according to Gren is widely considered the best part. The patients are thereafter placed according to the degree of disrupting behavior at either Barrack B or C, where the keepers "keep tight reins", as it were, on the patients. Torture and treatment in isolation are common elements at these barracks.
(Continues on p. 6)

Note: Trula had no patience for the treatment at the institution. They have told me there are several SCP-XXXX individuals that they met here and that not all of them had their abilities discovered. There are more of them out there, and it is very hard to estimate numbers.

— Dr. Sven Linde

Addendum XXXX-F: Incident Log, 28th of September, 1959

Incident: On 07/28/1959, the SCP Foundation was alarmed on a breach at Site-80 involving SCP-XXXX. This log was provided by the Chief of Security at Site-80.

[OPEN LOG]

I was in my bunk when the floor suddenly shook. I quickly got reports of a possible incident in containment chamber 3 at Department B. The possible dangers were imminent as I stepped out of the barracks and saw what used to be the department now seemingly replaced by a green wreath. We tried contacting our lead and only thaumatologist on site, Dr. Linde, who was unreachable. His office was in that building.

I gathered a squadron that could breach the wreath. We cut ourselves through bushes and thickets and found ourselves in a dense pine forest without a trace of the original structure inside. We scattered in pairs to search the area, several of us sighted abnormal shifts in the environment, while the forest slowly sank and the original building looked to be uplifted in the west, the east parts of the forest spread further. It was obvious that it was the work of the SCP-XXXX entity.

It took, maybe 20 minutes before someone shouted, and we hurried to his place. Out of the moss, we could see a root convulsing and moving eastward quickly. A shot was fired, with no effect, I had my men circle the convulsing root and a group situate themselves on the outside of the forest to intercept it. And finally, the wreath stopped moving.

We called for the entity to stop, and the forest died down and looked as if it decomposed right in front of us, with department B revealed once again. The convulsing root suddenly grew upwards in place. And suddenly there was Dr. Linde accompanied by SCP-XXXX-1, who looked around at us, with a disappointed glare. I knew better than to order fire.

Linde said something, I don't know what, and the creature mumbled back. It turned around and walked toward the exit, slowly getting brown and integrating into the ground. Suddenly it was all gone, and all it left was a Linde, who I until this day never had seen particularly high-spirited.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-YYYY’s is to be contained in a standard humanoid containment cell with toys and books that are to be cycled weekly.
SCP-YYYY is to be observed through security cameras, at all times, however, no more than two on site researchers are allowed to observe SCP-YYYY, and are to be cycled monthly, following a process of psychological therapy. Every two weeks, SCP-YYYY is counseled by assigned psychologist, Prof. Sylvia Hellen, who is to then submit a detailed report on SCP-YYYY’s mental condition.

In case, SCP-YYYY enters its distressed state, all audio feed to SCP-YYYY’s containment cell is to be cut off, however, the video feed should remain active during this period. After SCP-YYYY’s distressed condition has subsided, two security guards, armed with heavy assault rifles, are to be dispatched into SCP-YYYY’s containment cells along with Prof. Hellen, to appease to SCP-YYYY and reassure them that “Everything is alright”. If any personnel, who has been affected by SCP-YYYY’s ability, appears to manifest any injuries on their bodies after they have regained consciousness, security personnel are to immediately terminate them.

Description: SCP-YYYY is a mixed race with East Asian and Western heritage, aged roughly 10 years old. (Formally known as Eri Aoki). SCP-YYYY seems to be suffering from nail clubbing, on the fingers of it's hand and also shows signs of arachnodactyly4. SCP-YYYY possesses abilities that only activates when in a state of extreme distress or remorse. During this state, It's fingers begin to morph into much longer, claw like, appendages and starts to pulsate with a magenta glow. Following the events of Addendum YYYY.X, it is advised SCP-YYYY to wear thick winter gloves on its hands at all times. if SCP-YYYY wishes to take the gloves off, it is granted with the permission of researcher, Dr. Xene. Individuals who hear or directly observe SCP-YYYY, while it is in its state of distress, will have their bodies faint on the ground and their minds will enter a psychic pocket dimension/psychosphere created by SCP-YYYY, this dimension is designated as SCP-YYYY-1.

SCP-YYYY-1 shows of an apocalyptic world, within four known locations; a small, urban city in an unknown location, a snow region, a forest, and a desolate town presumed to be Tokyo. Dead bodies, can be seen on the streets and on top of resident households. Several entities, resembling some sort of quadruped, consisting of what appears to be human flesh, skin and deformed skeletal structure, can be seen roaming through on the streets. These entities are designated under SCP-YYYY-25.
Following through Test log YYYY.2, Test subjects (D-Class) have reported to have witnessed several events, that had occurred within SCP-YYYY-1. These events, had been noted and confirmed by SCP-YYYY itself, to be the past memories of SCP-YYYY that had portrayed from SCP-YYYY’s mind into SCP-YYYY-1, as a form of side effect of being a psychosphere.

Following through Test log YYYY.X3, If any individuals, who have fell victim to SCP-YYYY’s ability, were to spotted by an SCP-YYYY-2 entity, it will turn aggressive towards the individual and will attempt to capture them, alive. If successful in capture, SCP-YYYY-2 will restrain the individual, of movement, and bring said individual to SCP-YYYY-36 . If individual was injured by SCP-YYYY-3, corresponding injuries manifest on their bodies and they will begin to morph into a SCP-YYYY-2 entity, approximately 20 minutes after regaining consciousness.
Due to the events reported from the said Test logs, it has been noted that SCP-YYYY is a being that had originated from a different universe entirely.

Addendum YYYY.1: Discovery

SCP-YYYY was first discovered by Agent Hamilton, in Britain in 13/02/2021 , after a multiple reports of identical hallucinations occurring along the River Thames were received by Foundation agents. SCP-YYYY was initially found, unconscious and floating near the river banks before being recovered by Agent Hamilton. Upon recovery, the girl regained consciousness and immediately entered to a state of panic and severe distress, leading to the agent being affected by its anomalous properties. However, SCP-YYYY remained in a state of distress for approximately 5 minutes. Due to this the agent managed to regain consciousness, without sustaining any injuries. Following this event, the agent brought the girl into foundation custody and was transferred to site-24, after further notice.
The following interview took place prior to the transfer:

Addendum YYYY.2: Interaction

After SCP-YYYY has been designated its containment within site-24, immediate containment procedures were put into place, with accordance to the information gained from the first SCP-YYYY incident that had occurred, prior to its transfer to site-24. Following which Dr. Xene provides a brief explanation to SCP-YYYY on the rules in which it has to follow during its containment.
Dr. Xene has made multiple visits to SCP-YYYY’s containment cell for “routine interactions” with SCP-YYYY, in order for SCP-YYYY to feel more comfortable and well knowing of Dr. Xene. SCP-YYYY have shown to have grown a certain affection towards Dr. Xene during these interactions.
This has made SCP-YYYY less nervous of it’s environment and has made it easier for other on-site researchers to have SCP-YYYY more cooperative with further interviews and tests.

Addendum YYYY.3: Exploration Test logs

SCP-YYYY has now being put through a series of test to further analyze and understand the truth behind SCP-YYYY-1 and the memories of SCP-YYYY portrayed within it. As it is impossible to gain a digital record of the events in SCP-YYYY-1, via video camera. D-Class personnel were used and sent to SCP-YYYY-1 by asking SCP-YYYY questions, regarding it’s past, leading to SCP-YYYY entering a distressed state. If said D-Class were to survive, they are to give a detailed report of what they observed in SCP-YYYY-1. Any resistance to do so led to a threat of termination. If D-Class was recovered with injuries, they are given 15 minutes to provide as much information as possible, before termination.

Item #: SCP-6397

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-6397, The entierity of this object is currently not containable by any possible means, however, the entrance to SCP-6397 Is to be guarded by atleast 2 security personel at all times and the entrance is to be survailenced 24/7 by Foundation survailence equipment.

Description: SCP-6397 Is an a alternate reality that is currently considered infinite. The interior of SCP-6379 Is filled with futuristic, modern Beaux Arts style buildings each atleast 100 metres or 150 metres in height. The interior of SCP-6397, (Incuding all the buildings) is currently in a wasteland-like state caused by something that seems to be a XK-Class End-Of-The-World scenario that happened around 35 Centuries ago. SCP-6379 Is also filled with malfuctioning guard-duty robots, that presumably failed at their duty to protect the city that are to be refered to as SCP-6397-1. SCP-6397-1 Specimens (depending on their model) have unpredictable behaviour, and are ussually 6'7 foor tall and humanoid. A SCP-6397 Specimen ussually has a mechanical voice, atleast 4 malfuctions, and is equipped with weapons. Anderson Robotics also has shown a affiliation with the production of SCP-6397-1 (See Addendum 0.1). Non-Humanoid models of SCP-6379-1 Mostly do not posses the ability to speak etc. Notable non-humanoid models are: Supply Drone, Police/Military drone, Animal-Like robotic model etc. A Number of AIs have also been discovered inside of SCP-6379 That are to be refered to as SCP-6379-2, SCP-6379-3 And SCP-6379-4 (See Addendum 0.2)

Addendum 0.1: Every time a SCP-6379 Terminal next to a Robot-deploy pod is activated and the option "Activate unit" Is selected, the SCP-6379-1 Entity will activate and say "This unit has been programmed, assemblied and sold to this corporative entity. All trademark and copyright rights belong to Anderson Robotics." Therefore, Any Anderson Robotics personel found are to be guestioned about SCP-6379.

[[Dr. Aljinovski: Yeah, we know that! I am asking WHERE You originated from?]]
[[SCP-6379-2: This unit originated at ██████ inside ███████.
[[Dr.Aljinovski: Welp, thats inside SCP-6379]]
[[Dr. Aljinovski: What are you made for?]]
[[SCP-6379: I am a AI Made to manage the missle defense grid BONATOX-69]]
[[Dr. Aljinovski: Nice….. We will check that out.]]
[[Dr. Aljinovski: Now, it seems like there is no more guestions here.]]
To prevent SCP-6379-2 from doing anything irrational since it is no longer connected to BONATOX-69, The foundation has connected SCP-6379-2 To an a Missle Defense Grid BONATOX-69 Simulation, a nuclear attack is to be simulated in the BONATOX-69 Simulation every month.

SCP-XXXX-1, starting to walk, after recent surgical enhancement

ReleasingPollen.png

SCP-XXXX, as it appears on X-Ray (mid-way between releasing pollen). Note the SCP-XXXX-1 being released from it.

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-XXXX is contained at Site 15, near Sector 30. SCP-XXXX is kept in a Standard Containment Cell. The entity should be kept inside a Class IV Advanced Isolation Tank, filled with formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde, methanol, and humectants, along with seawater, in the days Friday-Monday of every week. The entity is to be regularly visited by Dr. Walters, for a check on its mental state. All personnel visiting, or talking to SCP-XXXX are to be in complete hazmat suits, preferably Foundation-issue. Should the entity start excreting copious amounts of SCP-XXXX-1, the cell is to be flooded with nitrous oxide and/or anesthesia.14

Carter%20Inkle.png

An image of Dr. Carter Inkle, circa 2010s

Description:

SCP-XXXX is a cybernetic device, estimated 13cm long, composed of complex internal parts, some parts theoretically made from nanotechnology. The exterior is composed of an unknown metal, which makes the SCP hard to decipher in X-Rays.
The SCP resembles a cephalopod, particularly an octopus (octopoda), or a squid (Coleoidea.), with the entity having four appendages similar to tentacles, terminating in small, serrated edges15.

SCP-XXXX houses the memories, emotions and consciousness of Dr. Carter Inkle. SCP-XXXX is parasitic, and needs a human or animal body to survive16. SCP-XXXX will enter a host body through any orifice large enough, and proceed to house in the host's brain. SCP-XXXX will also heavily alter the chemistry and structure of the brain, utilizing various nanotechnology, and SCP-XXXX-117, enabling it to control the mind and body of the host, rendering their consciousness completely destroyed.

The host's body usually ceases to function due to unknown reasons, most likely due to rigor mortis and decomposition of the body, or because of SCP-XXXX-1's corrosive effect. SCP-XXXX-1 is an artificial pollen produced by SCP-XXXX, which, when inhaled by a living subject, will implant in their brains, and allow SCP-XXXX to alter, or completely control them. It could also control their vitals, and instantaneously kill them. SCP-XXXX-1 is produced by SCP-XXXX, and released through all the orifices of the hosts body (eyes, nose, pores, etc.). SCP-XXXX-1 will come out in a large amount, if SCP-XXXX is emotionally distressed, although it claims it can control the ability.

SCP-XXXX-A is the current host SCP-XXXX is residing in, Andrew Clok. SCP-XXXX-A's physiology is altered, and cybernetically enhanced. Parts of its skull are replaced with mechanical parts to prevent cerebral hemorrhage, and enhanced to bear the corrosivity of SCP-XXXX-1. The heart is replaced with a machine, and one of the lungs is replaced along with it. All the parts are connected to, and controlled by SCP-XXXX through an artificially constructed nervous system.

SCP-XXXX is generally benign and supportive to Foundation staff, although it is suffering from extreme depression. Researchers conversing with the entity are to refer to it by the name "Carter", or the designation "Dr. Inkle." Dr. Inkle was a researcher working in NASA. He is 30 years old, and was supposed to be working on the new rover to Mars. However, the Foundation has since wiped records of him, given amnestic treatment to those who require it, and implanted a Foundation operative in place of Dr. Carter.

DATE: 20 Feb 2021 06:06

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX currently is to be stored in Site-34's kitchen. A small 10 x 10 containment chamber must be available for SCP-XXXX if transfer is required/an unexpected event occurs involving it. There are no other specific requirements for storing SCP-XXXX.

Pot.jpg

SCP-XXXX

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a ceramic red cooking pot, with brass handles. The dimensions are approximately 13.98 x 5.71 x 7.4 inches and maintains a capacity of 1.89 Liters. There are no signs of visible wear on the outer layer and mild staining on the inner layer.

SCP-XXXX has the ability to cook any consumable food/liquid placed inside in a span of 5 minutes, the pot lid is required to be on for the phenomenon to occur; food/liquid must fit inside the dimensions of the pot. Heat/electricity is not required for the cooking of foods/liquids. Non-food items must not be placed inside of SCP-XXXX (with the lid on); non-food items will immediately be turned into gas. If solid items are placed inside the process of sublimation will begin, while non-edible liquids will cause the process of vaporization. Food items left inside of the pot for more than 5 minutes will not be cooked anymore and will be kept hot. No conclusion has been made as to how SCP-XXXX's ability works, due to the lid required to be on for the occurrence of the phenomenon.

SCP-XXXX has proven useful for the SCP Foundation, SCP-XXXX allows large quantities of food to be cooked effortlessly and trouble-free. Currently, SCP-XXXX has been made accessible to all cafeterias chefs

Currently, the Sites Scientific Dept. is concluding ways to possibly mass clone SCP-XXXX for distribution to other foundation sites/areas. This distribution would be effective for lowering costs of gas/electricity used in the kitchen daily; possibly even replace the majority of appliances as-well.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a custom-made upright piano made from a wood similar in looks to lightly colored oak. Shavings from SCP-XXXX show the wood to be unidentifiable.

The anomalous properties are triggered when a human plays the piano. When played, the person will exhibit extreme concern and frustration with the sound of SCP-XXXX, sometimes opening the lid and reaching inside to “fix it”. The severity of this hysteria is proportional to the amount of previous piano experience the subject has. When asked to describe their frustration, subjects usually use terms like "off" and "not right", but will never say any specifics about any of the qualities of the piano during and after playing.

If a subject plays more than 5 minutes, any matter other than SCP-XXXX and the subject within a 15m is "suspended". All matter is restricted to approx. 3 nanometers of movement, which allows for the retention of heat, but restriction of greater movement. This usually causing expiration to any biological matter in the radius due to lack of blood flow and brain function for extended periods of time. It is unknown how the subject can breathe with all oxygen particles suspended. Effects last a minimum of 30 seconds and up to 35 minutes, with subjects with more piano experience able to use it for longer.

SCP-XXXX-1 is a human male named James Perez. Records show it were born September 12th, 1992 and has no known living relatives. It claims to have built SCP-XXXX, but is unaware of it’s anomalous nature. SCP-XXXX-1 is able to play SCP-XXXX-1 for an indefinite amount of time unlike other subjects, but all other effects still apply. SCP-XXXX-1 displays a daily schedule which consists of 20 hours of playing and adjusting the internals of SCP-XXXX, or "on time", and 4 hours of "off time", mostly consisting of eating and sleeping. To date no fluctuations of this schedule has been recorded.
