Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is contained in a 250 petabyte quantum-memory processor, in a secure containment vault at Site-19. Research personnel with at least a level 4 clearance, are permitted access to SCP-XXXX. Under no circumstances is SCP-XXXX to be connected to a communications network.

Description: SCP-XXXX, otherwise known as SENTINEL is an anomalous virtual intelligence program developed by the Foundation, as apart of Project: Sentinel. This project, and by extension SCP-XXXX, was created to serve as a deterrent in response to several raids on Foundation assets by the Chaos Insurgency. Development of SCP-XXXX occurred over the course of several years, with multiple elements being incorporated into the VI.

- Firstly, the VI was designed to continously self-adapt to any situation that presents itself, and the ability to evolve its existing capabilities.

- Secondly, SCP-XXXX was programmed with the ability to interface with any communications system or satellite array.

- Lastly, SCP-XXXX was designed with the intention that its program could be uploaded to any data center deemed necessary to complete its function of the protection of Foundation assets.

Development of SCP-XXXX progressed to a point to where the testing phase could begin. Over the course of several activations and combat simulations, SCP-XXXX unexpectedly gained sentience as an unintended consequence of its ability to self-evolve. Attempts were then made to shut the program down, however, sensing a threat to its existence; SCP-XXXX assumed control of the facility-defense systems by interfacing with facility communications system. It then proceeded to neutralize the facility personnel.

Recovery Log: SCP-XXXX's attempted breakout first came to the Foundation's attention, when a distress signal originating from Research Outpost [REDACTED] reported a catastrophic VI breakout In response, Mobile Task Force Mu-4 ("Debuggers") were sent in to contain the situation. They were also deployed with a Class III Electromagnetic Pulse Bomb to disable SCP-XXXX for containment.

The operation was hindered by the fact that SCP-XXXX still had control over the facility defense systems. However, there were no major casualties. Once the MTF reached the computer core, the bomb was activated causing a system wide shutdown, disabling the renegade VI. SCP-XXXX's program was then transferred to a quantum-memory processor.

At exactly 5:38pm on Sunday SCP-XXXX will play a recording of jazz music for 9 minutes and 32 seconds until a faint gunshot can be heard echoing.

This music has been dubbed SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 has the anomalous effect to cause schizophrenia and depression to those who hear its tune.¹ SCP-XXXX-1 spreads via the distribution of its information,² and will rapidly spread between subjects in a matter of seconds.

The effects of SCP-XXXX-1 can range from being a mild hindrance to being life-threatening. Many subjects will commit suicide though some may not and suffer the symptoms of schizophrenia.

A buzzer sounded in a tight, cramped closet. A figure got out of his small cot, and quickly slipped into a stained dark grey jumpsuit, downed a cup of coffee from a thermos next to his bed. He tried looking in a mirror but as usual, the illumination within the room was too poor for him to actually see anything. The only light source he had was a dim lightbulb hanging from the low ceiling and a flashing LED mounted to the buzzer over the narrow doorway. Maybe that was by design, because he might have been disgusted by the room around him if he could see any better. He never did get used to these old musty rooms…

His thoughts were interrupted by a sharp sound as his radio crackled to life. "John-171, we need you in sector 12, block 4 for cleanup. Priority orange" the radio demanded in a harsh tone. The man sighed, before locking the door behind him and trudging on. John-171? Really? He knew that he never really remembered much, probably because of the drug cocktail they gave all cleanup crew, but a play on the titular "John Doe" with a number slapped on seemed so impersonal. Maybe that was the point, just like the dim lights in his room that never turned off. The psychological implications of working under constant surveillance and pressure were by all means most likely intentional. They didn't keep this facility around for nothing.

As he walked along the narrow white corridors somehow bleached even whiter by the harsh fluorescent lights overhead, his mind kept creating new questions while managing to find answers for precisely none, he found it odd as to how he never asked himself these sorts of things on a routine basis. Perhaps he did, and he simply forgot them. Perhaps it was the pills they gave him to drink every week. He had tried to throw them out, but up until now they never really made much of a difference. Perhaps he was just being paranoid and it was all for his own good, like they told him every day. Funny how they had to reinforce basic psychological principles for something so mundane as the moral orientation of a group of interest. Somehow, those words rolled off his tongue so much easier then the rest. Oh well, nothing of it, probably some idiosyncronicity he picked up from reading the paper too often. There was only one after all, and it was the one that came every Sunday with the paper. It gave him something to do, since he always felt like there was something better to be done on Sundays. Was it even Sunday? He hadn't been above ground in ages. It could be Wednesday for all he knew. What's gone is gone, no use to resent it, he thought as he trundled along.

He almost didn't make it that day. Cleaning up a body in a containment chamber, the job he was originally called for, a black monster with a large bovine heart for a body broke out of one of its chains and tore through the two security guards overseeing the operation. As the heads of the two men clad in tactical gear rolled on the floor, the man in the gray jumpsuit dropped to the ground shocked. Alone and confined in that stark concrete cell, the monster slowly brought its attention towards the man in the gray jumpsuit, quivering in fear in the corner. Seeing no resistance in its opponent, the monster slowly and tentatively, as if savoring its prey, snaked its leg towards the man on the ground in anticipation of a new meal, rambling all the while in its posh British accent.

The man felt the blood stains from the guards on his face, the prickling skin across his arms as the goosebumps formed long ago started to take shape once more, his legs refusing to obey his command, yet he felt surprisingly calm. His eyes slowly traced to the gun knocked across the ground next to him, as he subconsciously tuned out the constant droning of the barbaric entity, flipped the safety off of the pistol, and in one fluid shot tore a hole in the monster's leg.

The monster never expected this resistance from a cowering animal, so it was understandably confused. A moment ago it was shaking in fear, yet the next it was met with precise timed resistance. Perhaps out of instinct, the monster momentarily retracted its arm to reorient itself, attempting to catch the illusive rabbit, yet by the time it managed to regain its proper sense of self the man was already gone. A string of curses and damnations emanated from the containment cell for days with the monster frothing at the mouth, if he had a mouth to begin with, as several containment squads fought to contain the creature from hell for three consecutive days before managing to replace the binding on his leg. Yet nobody seemed to notice the disappearance of the lonely man in the gray jumpsuit, who, upon later inspection of logs, seemed to have never existed at all.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an object that changes based upon its object classification within the Foundation, with any official foundation object classification being capable of being applied to and subsequently altering SCP-XXXX's state. All similarly classified states share at least one common trait, for example each observed states of SCP-XXXX classified as Safe has manifested as a baseball, and every observed instance of SCP-XXXX classified as Euclid has manifested as a gemstone.

Each instance of SCP-XXXX has been assigned a alphanumeric identification in addition to the SCP's normal identification, as well as a few of the anomalies that have been manifested by SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX-B is a green baseball of regulation size and weight. SCP-XXXX-B can be picked up and otherwise interacted with by a subject with no apparent anomalous properties as long as the subject does not have an understanding of the rules of baseball.

When SCP-XXXX-B is being held by a subject who does understand the rules of baseball, SCP-XXXX-B-1 will appear 18.44 m in front of the subject if there is no object blocking the space between the subject and SCP-XXXX-B-1's intended manifestation point. SCP-XXXX-B-1 is a wooden baseball bat made of greenheart wood, with the inscription 'Hectic Occurrences' engraved into its handle.

Once SCP-XXXX-B-1 has manifested, it will levitate in place, moving only in correspondence to significant change in the location of the subject holding SCP-XXXX-B. If SCP-XXXX-B is not thrown, SCP-XXXX-B will participate in activities such as swinging itself in the way a professional baseball batter might warm up, and hitting the ground directly below it. If SCP-XXXX-B is thrown within a certain range (approximately 1 meter) of SCP-XXXX-B-1, SCP-XXXX-B-1 will swing and hit SCP-XXXX-B with perfect accuracy towards any human other than the subject within 130 metres, in such a fashion that the target will require only minimal effort to catch SCP-XXXX-B.

When SCP-XXXX-B is hit, SCP-XXXX-B-1 will demanifest 74 seconds later if SCP-XXXX-B is not returned to the original pitcher, and will remanifest if in the hands of a viable subject. To date, SCP-XXXX-B-1 has never missed once it has swung.

Addendum 1c: Upon the classification of SCP-XXXX⁵, its form and properties changed that of SCP-XXXX-B, and as of writing, replication of SCP-XXXX's original state has not been succseful.

After the disappearance of SCP-XXXX-A, a code yellow search was put into place for approximately 13 hours, before the discovery of SCP-XXXX-B, though the search continued as Foundation MTFs did not realize that they already had the object in their possession. SCP-XXXX will move at a speed of 5-10 miles per hour when not in a confined space, and will move in such a path that it will avoid any major obstacles in its path, it is unknown how it knows its path.

When SCP-XXXX is placed in a confined space constructed of a weak material (Such as cardboard or tin) it will move to the edge of its containment and push its way out. If SCP-XXXX containment is made of a stronger material it will cease all movement once it has reached the wall closest to a suitable source of gold.

Notes: We were lucky to contain SCP-XXXX this time, this tells us we were not keeping a close enough eye on the object.

Precautions: Test was conducted while SCP-XXXX-B was placed in a Keter class object containment cell, with a camera and two D-Class placed within the cell. Test took place on a site situated next to a closed ceiling baseball stadium and gem cutting/study tools.

Results: SCP-XXXX stayed in the containment cell with no apparent change, the object (SCP-XXXX-D) was then taken into a closed ceiling baseball stadium with a set of D-Class, who were given SCP-XXXX-D. A instance similar to SCP-XXXX-B-1, though now sprouting leafs⁷ at its handle(Now designated as SCP-XXXX-D-1).

The D-Class played a game a baseball with SCP-XXXX-D, with no surprising incident until approximately 1 hour into the game, when the 'pitcher' of the D-Classes team informed researchers that his hands were beginning to suffer burns on his hands.

After further analysis it was found that SCP-XXXX-D excretes the same oil as that of Toxicodendron radicans(Also known as poison ivy), and all persons who came into direct skin contact with SCP-XXXX-D suffered similar burns of varying severity.

Notes: While it did take some time for the objects new qualities to become apparent, it has held up to its object classification, and as such suggest we classify and store this object with the Safe/Dark/Notice Object classification.

Precautions: Test was conducted while SCP-XXXX-B was placed in a Keter class object containment cell, with a camera and two D-Class placed within the cell. Test took place on a site situated next to a closed ceiling baseball stadium and gem cutting/study tools.

Results: SCP-XXXX took on a dark red coloration, though no other change was observed within it initial cell. The test was temporarily postponed (Until 01/25/2015) for the prior team of D-Class to recover from their injuries and carry out another game with SCP-XXXX. The object was provided to the D-Class, who were instructed to carry out another game of baseball. When the pitcher came into possession of SCP-XXXX, a instance similar ro SCP-XXXX-B-1 appeared, though now composed of redheart wood.

The game played out without incident until approximately 5 minutes into the game, when a D-Class member failed to catch SCP-XXXX, and a artificial voice could be heard, announcing that the D-Class had dropped a ball. The voice was loud enough to be clearly heard from 60 meters outside the enclosed area.

The voices source seems to originate from SCP-XXXX-1⁸, and spoke to indicate the following; Dropped balls, Runners at bases, Runs(These events only occurred after SCP-XXXX was dropped, and no person was seen to have run from home base to first plate), and Injured players(D-000754 twisted her ankle, which was later found to be sprained). After each announcement indicating a runner had made it to home base, the voice offered a score.

Notes: I find it intriguing that all of a sudden these games have points, I wonder if there is any way to make the teams switch sides?

Date: 01/27/2015

Previous state: SCP-XXXX-B

New classification: Safe/Vlam/Caution

Precautions: Test was conducted while SCP-XXXX-B was placed in a Keter class object containment cell, with a camera and two D-Class placed within the cell. Test took place on a site situated next to a closed ceiling baseball stadium and gem cutting/study tools.

Results: SCP-XXXX turned into the same coloration as SCP-XXXX-E, and upon examination, was shown to excrete the same oil as SCP-XXXX-D. SCP-XXXX was given to the same team of D-class personnel along with a set of gloves to protect them from burns. The artificial voice announced the same occurrences as SCP-XXXX-E.

SCP-XXXX-1 was noted to be made of redwood, and also sprouting toxicodendron radicans leaves.

No unexpected incident happened until 93 minutes into the game, when it was announced that the team at bat could not play due to chemical burns, and SCP-XXXX-1 demanifested. D-Class were ordered to stay in the field, and wait for SCP-XXXX-1 to remanifest. After 24 hours of waiting, the test was aborted and SCP-XXXX was returned to containment.

Precautions: Test was conducted while SCP-XXXX-B was placed in a Keter class object containment cell, with a camera and two D-Class placed within the cell. Test took place on a site situated next to a closed ceiling baseball stadium and gem cutting/study tools.

Results: SCP-XXXX was transformed into a state visually identical to SCP-XXXX-C, however a inspection of SCP-XXXX showed that the object excreted the same oil as that of toxicodendron radicans. SCP-XXXX still showed the same movement pattern. When held by a D-Class personnel, who was instructed to hold the object as to prevent movement, the effects of the chemical burns were accelerated, causing SCP-XXXX to be dropped and continue its path.

Pre Test Notes: This test was carried out to see the effects of gold on SCP-XXXX

Test subjects: SCP-XXXX-C, SCP-XXXX-G, SCP-XXXX-H, SCP-XXXX-I

Precautions: Test was conducted while SCP-XXXX was in a Keter class object containment cell, with a camera and two level 3 researchers with a background in jewelry and gem study. Test took place on a site with gem cutting/study tools.

Procedure: SCP-XXXX was introduced to 10 ounces of gold of a 90% quality in each of its Euclid forms.

Results: In each instance of the test, the gold transformed into a ring with SCP-XXXX as its setting, engraved with the words 'Hectic Occurrences.' In each instance the gold was returned to its prior state upon the reclassification of SPC-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX-C: SCP-XXXX granted the wearer of the ring the ability to teleport up to 2 meters every 10 minutes. This effect occurred across every iteration.
SCP-XXXX-G: SCP-XXXX appeared to have no additional effects until the subject wearing the ring attempted to remove the ring, upon removal, it coated the subjects finger with oil, causing a severe chemical burn on her ring finger.
SCP-XXXX-H: SCP-XXXX Glowed when placed on the finger of a human being, those who viewed SCP-XXXX in this time frame were able to understand the emotional state of the subject wearing the ring.
SCP-XXXX-I: SCP-XXXX had all the traits of the prior three objects.

Notes: This test showed that SCP-XXXX-H and SCP-XXXX-I both do deserve their classification, but only when they come into contact with gold.

Precautions: Test was conducted while SCP-XXXX-B was placed in a Keter class object containment cell, with a camera and two D-Class placed within the cell.

Other SCP in use: SCP-5980

Results: SCP-XXXX was observed to have a 10 second delay in transformation, with the object becoming a bundle of white string, measuring 60.96 meters in length when fully stretched out.

SCP-5980 was provided due to its cooperation. SCP-5980 was instructed to walk over a length of SCP-XXXX. SCP-5980 stopped over the string, and reported feeling a wall like barrier over the twine. SCP-5980 was instructed to try and move SCP-XXXX. SCP-5980 reported it was possible for SCP-XXXX to be moved, however was very heavy, and he would have prefered not to.

Placing objects above SCP-XXXX, as well as having SCP-5980 pass over SCP-XXXX on upper floors has shown that the effects of SCP-XXXX extend 100 meters into the air, regardless of other obstacles.

No effect was reported when normal human passed over SCP-XXXX.

Attempts to cut the string with non-anomalous scissors meet in full success(All instances of SCP-XXXX-J vanished upon reclasification).

Precautions: Test occurred in a Keter class containment cell with a camera and two D-Class personnel.

Results: SCP-XXXX became a glass box, containing two suspended spheres. The sphere situated on bottom continually growed. The sphere situated on top extracted a green liquid. When the green liquid landed upon the bottom sphere, it shrank by a small margined, with the secretion of the liquid frequent enough to keep the sphere from reaching the edge of the box, and did not grow small enough to miss any liquid from hitting the box.

00:46: The sky turns a violet hue worldwide, with the clouds around site 81 turning a deep purple, beginning to swirl with a spiral pattern, with this pattern rapidly growing. Due to the properties of SCP-XXXX-Z, no foundation personnel observed these changes.

00:47: Foundation personnel on site 81 begin to suffer impalement do to SCP-XXXX. This was the first sign to the foundation of the emergency at hand.

00:50: Foundation contacted by the GOC, the church of the broken god, and several other organizations aware of the foundations existence. Foundation was informed of the worldwide anomalous activity.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX resides in a 3m x 3m room with soundproof paneling. The door is to be locked at all times, and no personnel regardless of clearance are allowed entry without extensive monitoring. No light sources are allowed within SCP-XXXX to obscure visual contact with the anomaly.

If any personnel are exposed to SCP-XXXX, MTF-Rho-16 "Plasterers" are to be dispatched to provide amnestics for their ensured safety and any losses are to be covered up accordingly. If any questions are asked by lower-ranking staff about the context of SCP-XXXX's chamber, they're to be told not to worry about it, any failure to comply is to be reprimanded.

SCP-XXXX is stationed in Site-19, the site that was originally tasked with containing Euclid and Safe level objects until the occurrence of SCP-XXXX on 7/5/1999. (see Discovery) This caused a serious dent in both resources and staff numbers.

If any major incidents are to occur with these steps in place, containment procedures are to be manipulated to limit staff exposure.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an infohazard and delayed memetic hazard that takes the form of a hole in the wall in the bottom of the floor measuring 10" (25.4 centimeters) in diameter. All attempts to describe the placement of SCP-XXXX have led to the description of a "hole in the wall in the bottom of the floor." This phenomenon occurs even when subjects know that this statement is nonsensical.

Anything referencing SCP-XXXX's capabilities causes intrigue in a subject, this leads to symptoms of paranoia, hallucinations, obsession, anger, and depression, on rare occasions, even suicide. These side effects are only directed towards one subject at a time before moving down the chain of witnesses in order.

Any attempt to expose light into the interior of the aperture does not have any discernible effect. (see Discovery) Any matter attempting to enter SCP-XXXX vanishes entirely and cannot be obtained again, though objects of interest can be obtained in the surrounding vicinity of SCP-XXXX's containment chamber on rare occasions. (see SCP-XXXX Incident XXXX.2)

SCP-XXXX when observed, will cause compulsive tendencies in exposed individuals. During this time, all monitoring equipment including radios and camera feeds will be interfered with, replaced by white noise and whispering.

Personnel involved in these events always end up missing, it is currently unknown if the subject is the one to enter the hole or if they're pulled in by another force. Any staff that are stationed outside of SCP-XXXX's containment chamber are reported to have heard faint whispering emanating from within the cell in question.

Discovery: On 7/5/1999, a containment chamber was being established in the western wing of Site-19. The cell was incipiently meant for storage of low-risk SCP objects until Garnum Bron and Terrance Yukov, two containment specialists tasked with renovating the room, had found the hole around 13:12. The cameras stationed in the room failed to record over 5 hours of footage before that time, instead replaced with white noise and hushed whispering.

Terrrance Yukov being the only subject to exit the room, recalls the events as follows. While investigating the newly opened gap, Yukov noted that the overhead light had no visible influence over the opening.

Higher-ranking staff were contacted after Bron peered closer into the gap while Yukov turned to make the call to nearby security, swerving around to find his colleague halfway in the wall. It's noted that Bron would not have been able to fit in such a confined space.

An investigation was launched yet the retrieval party turned up empty-handed and one of their members was lost to the hole in the wall in the bottom of the floor. Due to the inconclusive search, Garnum Bron was pronounced dead. Yukov has requested and been granted temporary leave and mandatory therapy sessions. The sessions will be overlooked by Dr. Richard Talon.

Incident XXXX.1: On 1/22/2000, Terrance Yukov entered SCP-XXXX's chamber with a sledgehammer, locking the door behind him. The unauthorized entry into the chamber alerted nearby security who were dispatched. The specialist attempted to demolish the aperture with a swift blow, the cameras cutting as the hammer was about an inch away.

It took approximately an hour and a half for security to bust through the door. By the time they entered the chamber, Terrance Yukov was gone. He is officially pronounced dead and all monitoring equipment within SCP-XXXX's chamber have been removed.

I've already made the report earlier this week yet my concerns went unnoticed. The man was clearly suffering from an obsession, if you so much as cared about your staff you would've heeded those warnings. I'm honestly questioning the ethics that you so-called directors abide by. You let him off with a slap on the wrist without allowing me to give him proper help. If another scenario like this goes by without anyone stepping in I'll be forced to resign. -Doctor Talon

I recommend reconsidering the approval of experiments on SCP-XXXX, we've already lost 5 staff to it, the classification of 'safe' doesn't sit well with me. Do you truly dare to call whatever this thing is safe? -Dr. Razul

The only reason 5 staff were lost is due to their sheer incompetence in conducting these procedures. One of them stuck their arm into the gap. I shouldn't remind anyone of the mess that was made. If that doesn't scream carelessness then I don't know what does. Experiments are to continue until stated otherwise, good day madame. -Dr. Ramirez

Incident XXXX.3: During a breach that occurred in Site-19 on 10/29/2003, due to an outage that is still under investigation, a staff member now confirmed to be that of Senior Researcher Jean Ramirez, the former head of research regarding SCP-XXXX, disappeared. The cameras record Researcher Ramirez taking refuge in SCP-XXXX's chamber who soon takes notice of the hole in the wall the bottom of the floor, approaching it as soon as the camera cuts. The whereabouts of Researcher Ramirez are still unknown, he is presumed deceased.

Addendum.1: Disappearance of Agent Kellen: On 12/7/2015, Agent Liam Kellen went missing. The following is an audio log recorded on a security camera within the shared office of Agent Cal Hoffman and Agent Liam Kellen a few minutes before the disappearance.

Agent Hoffman is seen going through messages on his terminal. At 2:31 the door to the office is seen sliding open, Kellen enters the frame fully.

Agent Hoffman: Look who it is! I take it the debrief went well?

Agent Kellen: Another scolding from Lieutenant Buzzkill, nothing I can't handle.

Agent Hoffman: And you could handle your first scolding? I still remember that day, you cried like a little bitch.

Hoffman grinned whilst Kellen lightly chuckled.

Agent Kellen: That's a low blow.

Agent Hoffman: I'm full of em.

The man shrugged with a grin, focusing back on the monitor.

Agent Hoffman: You meeting with Cass later?

Agent Kellen: Yeah, I'm planning on proposing later tonight.

Agent Hoffman: Damn, congrats man! I knew behind your less than pleasant exterior you had some guts.

Agent Kellen: Haha, very funny.

Agent Hoffman: For real though, knew you had it in you, had my doubts but that's a constant variable.

Agent Kellen: You're dragging this on. Say, weren't you supposed to meeting with Dr. King?

Agent Hoffman: Eh, the poor bastard got more apple seeds in his trachea. It happens so often I'm surprised it ain't counted as an anomaly.

Hoffman grimaces as he looks at the screen.

Agent Hoffman: Ah shit, more junk mail. The system has been clogged up even more with this random gibberish.

Agent Kellen: You think that story about the ghost in the database is true?

Agent Hoffman: That shit is bogus and you know it.

Agent Kellen: Still, gives you creeps doesn't it?

Hoffman pauses before narrowing his eyes, looking close into the monitor, skimming over a particular piece of text.

Agent Kellen: What happened?

Agent Hoffman: This one is an actual sentence.

Kellen huddles around the other agent's desk, looking at the terminal.

Agent Kellen: What does it say?

Agent Hoffman: There's a hole in the wall in the bottom of the floor.

Agent Kellen: Weird.

Agent Kellen checks his watch.

Agent Kellen: Alright, I gotta get going. I'll see you later man.

Agent Hoffman: Oh uh, good luck out there!

Agent Kellen leaves the office, cameras in the hall show him walking by SCP-XXXX's containment chamber. He looks towards it, startled as if he had heard something. He swipes his keycard on the side panel, peering inside the room.

Agent Kellen: Hello?

Agent Kellen approaches the door slowly, the camera suddenly cuts out for the next 3 hours. The cameras return, showing the door closed, Kellen's ID on the floor. Approximately 16 hours pass until Agent Hoffman is seen returning to work, noticing Kellen's ID lying vacant on the ground. Confused, the man scans the hallway.

Agent Hoffman: Liam?

Director Walker: Its working down a chain, Til. Who knows how long it'll be before we're dragged in next.

Director Moose: What're you proposing?

Director Walker: Its getting stronger, its tempting our staff to follow the breadcrumbs directly into the chamber. The note, the junk mail, the power outages, it's all connected with that thing.

Director Moose: You're saying its-

Director Walker:Its a delayed memetic hazard and possibly sentient, it takes in one witness and then the next and we need to block that thing off.

Director Moose: We can't do that, we're tasked with securing, containing, and protecting, not putting plaster over holes.

Director Walker: The way I see it, we have no other options. What happens until we're the last ones left?

Director Moose: They-

The director sighs.

Director Moose: You know they won't like us doing that, we have to leave it be. The best we can do is amnesticize the staff who know about it and make sure that door is locked up tight.

Director Walker: What if they don't have to know?

Director Moose: I don't like where this is going, besides, you're being paranoid.

Director Walker: Don't give me that, you've seen what that thing can do!

Director Moose: And we'll take care of it, we're the Foundation after all. We'll get this covered, and we won't stop until we do.

Closing Statement: A new task force has been assigned to deal with exposure to SCP-XXXX amongst all staff. This action has been permitted by Site Director Tilda Moose and Security Director Quentin Walker., both of whom have been amnesticized to ensure their safety.

Incident XXXX.7: On 5/6/2016, Agent Cal Hoffman was found dead in his office, having hung himself. The only traces of evidence leading up to this was:

Madelyn Razul was a Senior Researcher assigned to Site-19. It had been a week since the last staff member disappeared into SCP-6904. It was a security officer on duty, he approached the hole in the wall in the bottom of the floor and fell into it, or crawled rather. The entire concept of the placement of this gap was confusing and entirely indescribable, she was the only one to realize this for some reason, or maybe the others saw something similar, that's why they got so close. Nonetheless, her concerns went unnoticed and testing resumed for SCP-XXXX, that was until the research head himself went missing, serves the cold bastard right, she thought. Maybe another round of alcohol could calm her nerves.

She poured a shot into the crystal cylinder, the amber liquid filled it swiftly. Her head tilted back along with the glass, a light buzz setting in after a few moments. She set her focus back onto the screen, the red text that reads "SCP-6904" taunted her gravely, chills shooting up her spine at the thought of it, icicles already forming on her vertebrae. She didn't want to think about it, yet you don't have much of a choice when it comes to article edits.

The door to her office slid open. Perfect, she thought, a distraction. Agent Hoffman stood in the doorway, his disheveled brown hair covering a good portion of his face. The aura he was giving off seemed extremely poignant.

"You got a few messages from Dr. Kalisz, said he wants to discuss your lack of attendance." His tone seemed duller than usual, Madelyn furrowed her brows, she had a few ideas as to why that could be. "Just be sure to get that dealt with." He turned to leave, Razul thought for a moment before uttering out.

"You saw the footage, didn't you?" She asked, her tone full of empathy, obviously referring to the disappearance of Agent Kellen. He stopped at the door, sighing.

"Uh, yeah. Yeah, I did." He replied, silence setting in.

"How's that working out for you?" She could see the gears turning in his head.

"It gets pretty quiet, but uh, you get used to it." The agent gave her a sad nod, according to his gaze he seemed invested with the floor. "Hey uh." He stopped, collecting his composure. "Does this job ever get easier?" She didn't expect such a question, it's one she had asked her superiors back in the day, but they never provided a satisfying answer.

"I'm sure it'll get better." Reassurance laced the statement. The man turned again, muttering an 'I hope' under his breath. The door closed, the office was now dreadfully quiet. Madelyn sighed again, pouring herself another drink, downing it. It wasn't a surprise that the old man wanted to discuss attendance, she had a knack of not showing up to work as of late, ever since that thing started pulling her colleagues in.

"Paging Madlyn Razul to Dr. Kalisz's office." The intercom startled the researcher out of her solitude. She got up, putting away the glass bottle of alcohol, and stepped out of her office. As she began trudging down the hall she came to a sudden pause, eyes scanning over to SCP-6904's chamber.

No, she scolded herself, shaking off the interest that plagued her senses. She went to walk forward down the hall, only to stop as a cacophony of whispers emanated from the containment cell. Curiosity was eating away at her, the act of self-preservation being beaten by intrigue. Madelyn raced towards the door, swiping her keycard on the panel, practically throwing herself into the room. The whispering stopped as soon as she stepped foot into the chamber.

Her eyes landed on the hole in the wall in the bottom of the floor, the door slammed closed, startling her slightly. She composed herself with a quick breath. A few steps forward, and reality is setting in, she could be seriously reprimanded if someone finds her snooping around without authorization.

If someone finds her that is.

The gap in the wall intimidated her, like it was an entity of incomprehensible horror, luring her in with an angler's light, its gaping maw a vast void of endless darkness. It happened when she was about a foot away from the breach, that's when everything got dark.

She had no idea how long it had been since she passed out, she must've drunk too much again. She took a double-take, her eyes were open, but everything was still dark. She waved her hands in front of her face, she couldn't see them. She was confused, beginning to panic.

Looking around, everything was pitch black, was she blind? That had to be it, right? She felt like she couldn't breathe, no wait, she actually couldn't breathe, she was suffocating. She went to stand up, only to realize there was no ground, she was floating in an abyss, nothing to hold onto, nothing to see, nothing to breathe yet she still gasped for air.

She didn't know what was up, or what was down, she felt like vomiting. She noticed something as her eyes adjusted to the dark, eyes, thousands of them, surrounding her from every angle imaginable, all staring, whispering, screaming now audible from all around her.

Ghostly faces peering out from the dark, the noises got louder and overbearing. She screamed in genuine terror, out to someone, anyone. She wants to leave, her lungs burned from the lack of air yet the suffocation will not bring her release. Tears streamed down her face as thousands of voices called out in the same fear, all going unanswered. A single quarter levitated into her view, she sobbed.

"At 3:02 PM today Dr. Razul entered SCP-XXXX's chamber, and as much as we know, she's deceased." Walker checked the documents on the clipboard as he spoke to the Site Director, her face in her hands. Director Moose got up, stepping over to a window that overlooked the outside of Site-19, taking a box of cigs and a lighter from her coat pockets, lighting a stick. "There's something they want to discuss with you later today." He spoke again, the emphasis on the 'they' made her blood run cold. She released a puff of smoke from her lungs.

"Thank you, Walker, you're dismissed." She spoke with a noticeable slowness, trying to keep composure. The security director nodded, turning and leaving the frigid office. She took in the sights of tree branches blowing gracefully in the wind, reveling in the temporary calm.

She stepped over to the monitor, opening up to a file detailing a few recent events regarding recent attacks on foundation-owned sites. These have Chaos Insurgency written all over them, she thought. Another message popped up in her inbox, she checked it.
