Special Containment Procedures: In order to reliably contain SCP-XXXX and all other related entities, any and all followers are to be terminated upon discovery, any and all places of worship are to be bombarded with Class-3 artillery, and all gatherings are to be surrounded by MTF Nu-7 and subsequently destroyed.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an extradimensional deity resembling ███████ from H.P Lovecraft's ███████ mythos. The religion devoted to this entity is called The Cult of ███████. This cult will periodically hold services to this deity that include archaic chants, ritual murder, and other strange practices, many of which can be found in a book that is always present during these services: The Necronomicon, By: █████ ████████. Many of the chants and rituals that are included in The Necronomicon are anomalous in nature and/or have many anomalous hazards. Included below are some of the rituals and chants found in The Necronomicon (Cognito hazards redacted and/or neutralized). The participants of the services often wear headdresses that appear to be attempted replications of the head of ███████. looking upon living subjects donning these headdresses for more than ██ seconds will eventually cause the viewer to either fall insane, and/or become devoted to The Cult of ███████. These effects will present themselves anywhere from █ hours to ██ years after the initial ██ seconds of exposure. Viewing images of these subjects will not result in the aforementioned effects, but ██% of viewers will receive a headache after more than 15 seconds of viewing, and █% of these headaches will not dissipate. Above is an image of a devotee wearing one of the aforementioned headdresses.
NOTE: Personnel with an A.R.S of over 15 will not be affected by images that include subjects wearing the headdresses.

This "Carol of Fate" is the most concerning. If it is to be believed, upon a specific solstice of an unknown year, these "Great Olde Ones" will awake and reak havoc upon mankind, and according to this so-called prophecy, there is nothing that mankind will be able to do to stop or prevent this from occurring. Because our copy of The Necronomicon was obtained relatively recently, we do not know when █████ ████████ added this prophecy, if indeed ██ did. In conclusion, I believe it is best that we assume that this solstice is going to happen so that The Foundation can prepare for the worst, and decide what to do regarding The Masquerade.

Below is an analysis conducted by The Foundations cryptography department on the nature of the three Necronomicon entries above:

+ "Awake ye Horrid Great Olde Ones"

Awake ye horrid Great Olde Ones. A chant by █████ █████████. The Necronomicon.

Awake ye horrid Great Olde Ones, and nothing shall dismay.

(This line is most likely from the point of view of the more sane members of The Cult of ███████. In this line, "Great Olde Ones" is plural, leading the cryptography team to believe that The Cult of ███████ is not just devoted to the deity of their namesake, but instead is devoted to the group of deities designated as the "Great Olde Ones", and further information about this is found later on.)

Remember great ███████ shall rise up from █'████

(This line is incredibly important to The Foundation, as it gives us a location, and though this given location cannot be found by a quick glance at the Earth, further study has found that █'████ is actually part of [REDACTED]. This gives The Foundation somewhere to start their studies.)

To enlighten us with old knowledge if we should flock ███ way.

(This line again is thought to be written from the point of view of the cult. We have found from different pieces within The Necronomicon [Note: As well as from recent tests performed to discover the effects that ███████ has on humans], viewing ███████ in any way causes mild to severe insanity. Whether this is caused by the introduction of knowledge {See SCP-606} is not of great importance because it is impossible to extract given knowledge after the onset of insanity. The use of "███" in this line suggests that ███████ is, or at least has, some defining characteristics that would lead cult members to deduce the biological sex of the entity.)

(These three lines pose no specific interest)

In ███████ and in █████████ the Great Olde Ones were spawned,

(The two designations that are given here are titles, either of two Elder Gods [A designation thought to be of greater importance and/or higher power to the Great Olde Ones], or possibly two locations. This line also gives an origin of the Great Olde Ones, as they were spawned in ███████ and █████████.)

Imprisoned by the Elder Gods to wait for long aeons.

(This line introduces the Elder Gods as greater, older, and more powerful beings. The reason why they imprisoned the Great Olde Ones is shadowy at best, and through the use of the word "aeons", we are drawn to believe that the length of the Great Olde Ones' imprisonment is extensive. We have but a few records detailing the time when the Great Olde Ones were imprisoned, and their foretold emergence has no set date. The use of the word "wait" is also important, providing that they were imprisoned to stand by for something to come, rather than imprisoned to keep them from doing something.)

Enticing humans to release them, whilst chanting greatest song.

(This line conflicts with the "Carol of Fate" prophecy, which details that the Great Olde Ones will break containment due to an astrological occurrence rather than from human intervention. Due to this conflict, it is believed that the Great Olde Ones will escape containment on a solstice that matches the description in the "Carol of Fate" prophecy, but only if The Cult of ███████ has a degree of worship and/or influence that is of currently unknown size. This information is the cause of the current special containment procedures.)

(These lines pose no specific interest.)

An Arab said "That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And in strange aeons you will find that even death may die."

(The quote found in this line is present to a surprising degree throughout The Necronomicon, and is credited to █████ ████████. No specific purpose or effects have been connected to this quote, though it is speculated to hold some importance due to the frequency at which it can be found within The Necronomicon)

The Great Olde Ones will rule once more and all will be reborn!

(In the eyes of sane cult members, the coming of the Great Olde Ones will cause most of humanity to devote themselves entirely to the success of these deities and believe that those who do will be rewarded. The insane cult members however believe a variety of things, from the destruction of humanity when the Great Olde Ones arrive, to the eternal torture of all things on Earth upon their arrival.)

(These lines hold no significant value)

Death May Die. A chant by █████ ████████. The Necronomicon

████████ said, "that is not dead which can eternal lie".
███ ████ said, "that is not dead for even death may die".

("████████" in this line is likely referring to █████ ████████, the author of The Necronomicon. Furthermore, "███ ████" is a known alias of █████ ████████. As mentioned before, these quotes are speculated to hold some importance, although exactly what is unknown.)

For it is known that death will die, for even death may die.

(The repetition of this quote again reinforces its importance.)

(Again, repetition leads us to believe that these quotes are somehow important.)

(The "██ ████" is another designation for The Necronomicon, a designation that holds greater value, but also more danger. This line also notes that the ██ ████ was created by █████ ████████ alone.)

(This line introduces a new entity, the possible nature of which is revealed later on in the passage. Whether or not the use of the word "songs" is literal or not is unknown, and likely unimportant.)

(More descriptions of the unknown entity are located in this line. The cartography department has found a link between the unknown entity and the "smiling man" detailed in SCP-507)

(This line details how The Necronomicon continues to be updated, with each new entry being credited to █████ ████████. The cryptography team has decided that █████ ████████ is indeed writing new entries to The Necronomicon. It appears that the ritual murder of █████ ████████ has seemingly bound ███ to ███ work and ██ appears to be content, and is even willing to write more Necronomicon entries)

The Necronomicon ██ wrote, The Necronomicon.

(These lines reinforce the idea that █████ ████████ was bound to The Necronomicon upon ███ murder, and that ██ continues to write more material that is subsequently added to The Necronomicon)

Carol of Fate. A prophecy. The Necronomicon.

Look to the sky, way up on high;

(The suggestion that the Great Olde Ones will arrive when a certain astronomical event occurs is introduced in this line)

Aeons have passed, now then at last;
Whence they were penned, they shall descend.

("Whence they were penned, they shall descend" provides that the Great Olde Ones will emerge from where they were imprisoned, rather than from random locations. This is important as now The Foundation knows to fortify the imprisonment site of discovered entities.)

They will return, mankind will learn;
New kinds of fear once they are here.
As they reclaim all in their name;
Hope turns to black, as they come back

(This line suggests that mankind will know fear as we have never before, and will lose all hope as the Great Olde Ones return. "All in their name" suggests that the Earth was promised to the Great Olde Ones, perhaps by the Elder Gods.)

Ignorant fools mankind now rules.

(This line stumped the cryptography team for a significant length of time. At first glance, this line seems to be addressing the Great Olde Ones, telling them that they are ignorant for underestimating the power that mankind now can access. However, it is possible that a typo was made: "Now" instead of "new". No typos have ever been found within The Necronomicon and yet, the inclusion of one in this prophecy would fit the theme of The Necronomicon much better: Now stating that mankind is ignorant, and the discovery of this prophecy forces The Foundation to think differently, [following new rules, as the typo would suggest]. Another note that the cryptography team has deemed worthy to mention is, seeing that author of The Necronomicon is thought to be actively writing, the author could have purposefully added this typo to throw The Foundation "off their trail" as it were, giving false hope to a possible successful outcome. Because the idea of a purposeful typo fits so well, the cryptography team will continue as if this is the objective truth, and a small cryptography team will continue to analyze this line of text.)

Where they ruled then, it's theirs again.

(This line reinforces the idea that the Great Olde Ones did indeed once inhabit and rule the Earth, but for some unknown reason were imprisoned by the Elder Gods to wait for something for an unknown reason. Seeing as SCP-XXXX resembles an entity created by H.P Lovecraft, further study into H.P Lovecraft's writing, specifically [REDACTED], is heavily encouraged. A relation to SCP-2264 has been found.)

(The star Atroitrokt recently underwent a strange process [ aptly named cosmic evaporation ] where the surface of the star began to 'bubble' in a process similar to boiling, this process created intense heat and light, even reaching Earth and causing a 50-degree increase in average temperatures across the globe for the 15 hours that the process lasted. Seemingly in coincidence, the seemingly extinct La Garita Caldera erupted at the same time when the effects of Atroitrokt's evaporation reached Earth. Investigation into the La Garita Caldera volcano is underway by MTF Epsilon-9 [ See Exploration Logs ]. This occurrence could mark the beginning of the [REDACTED] Solstice.)

(Again, these lines reinforce the idea that the Solstice of Awakening will occur based on an astronomical occurrence)

To stop the stars, from cycling.

(This line foretells that The Foundation, or in the case of a Broken Masquerade, all of mankind will attempt to prevent the movement of the cosmos in order to keep the Solstice of Awakening from happening.)

Will they then learn, nothing they do
Can cease the stars, from what they do?

(This suggests that the attempts of mankind will fall short and that we will have to accept that we will need to fight in order to survive.)

They will descend.

Where they extend:

(Yet again, this tells that the coming of the Great Olde Ones will occur)

Mankind Will Fall.

(This line suggests that humanity will fall, but with all confidence, The Foundation assures you, this will not happen.)

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a humanoid containment cell at Site-17. If SCP-XXXX produces any materials or makes any costumes, the items should be confiscated and the entity should be disciplined. Due to the risk of a containment breach, SCP-XXXX cannot be given food or items. As of 2/19/18 Protocol "SETA-6" is in effect, and no interviews are permitted with the entity.

SCP-XXXX-A is to be placed in a storage locker at Site-17. Once a week SCP-XXXX-A must be shipped to other sites or medical centers under Foundation ownership.

During protocol "SETA-6," SCP-XXXX-A is extracted from SCP-XXXX once a week between 0700 and 1900. When doing Protocol "SETA-6," any weapon that is sharp enough to open the wound, may be used against SCP-XXXX. Protocol "SETA-6" must be approved by Dr. Eliza before it is implemented, and SCP-XXXX must be restrained or handicapped. Weapons must penetrate SCP-XXXX's bones for the entity to bleed. Injuries can occur anywhere on the body, although it's preferred to hurt the entity around the cartilage. As soon as SCP-XXXX starts bleeding SCP-XXXX-A, the secretion must be collected in a container and placed in SCP-XXXX-A's locker.

SCP-XXXX shadow

Description: SCP-XXXX is a vaguely humanoid entity, the entity stands 1.8 meters tall and weighs 64 kilograms, has four luminescent white eyes, and no other distinguishing features. The X-rays of SCP-XXXX have revealed an organic bone system that functions in the same way as an organ system. The SCP-XXXX bone system can easily bend and compress, making it highly mobile and flexible. SCP-XXXX body can produce tendrils from seemingly any part of its body. These tendrils have been measured as far as 60 meters and have been observed lifting 300 pounds.

SCP-XXXX-A is an odorless white secretion that can cure injuries and illnesses based on how much is administered. Upon receiving more than 3 liters of SCP-XXXX-A, all of the subject's inner fluids will evaporate, and all of the organs will rupture.

SCP-XXXX will occasionally manifest a full body suit that appears similar to characters from the virtual game "Hollow Knight. These costumes can be made by SCP-XXXX by producing items from within its mass. This process takes around an hour, causing a great deal of discomfort to SCP-XXXX. It has demonstrated smithing and sewing skills and has often shown complex techniques and patterns. SCP-XXXX expresses a desire to show Foundation personnel its work once finished.

SCP-XXXX claims to have existed as a large entity before it hibernated in the 1830s (See Addendum XXXX.1), but this claim has not been confirmed beyond an extract from a book in the Adelaide City Library. Research on the history of SCP-XXXX is ongoing.

SCP-XXXX was found in a company building located in Adelaide, South Australia. The foundation learned about the entity when an employee of a company called Team Cherry informed the police that a "monster with many hands stole paper". A cave system was found that reached up to 236-meters wide that connected to the building. The police investigated the cave system, which had artwork on the walls and was filled with SCP-XXXX-A. Containment teams were brought in to retrieve the entity. After the entity was retrieved, employees were given amnestics and the cave was searched, pictures and writing were found.

SCP-XXXX: My body formed that cave, but my body shrunk after a while.

Dr. Fisher: Why did your body shrink?

SCP-XXXX: Oh, that's simple, it was because I was hungry, that building was built on top of me, and if I went hunting I would hurt a lot of people.

Dr. Fisher: How would you hurt people?

SCP-XXXX: I would shift the surrounding buildings' foundations, which would cause buildings to collapse on people.

Dr. Fisher: What made you have this obsession with the game Hollow Knight?

SCP-XXXX: I was the most feared creature in the entire land. I was taller than any mountain, my reach was greater than any river, and I was more feared; animals fled, towns were pillaged, and history and people were destroyed all by me. People would tell stories about how I was the devil's spawn or sent by God to punish them for their sins. Although people offered me sacrifices, I didn't care; I would eat the people anyways! In the end, I became bored with the constant killing, so I hibernated for 268 years, and I awoke to music. Then I heard the music from Hollow Knight, and something changed, causing me to rethink my actions. My heart was filled with the most beautiful sound I have ever heard. No cries or screams could ever compare. It quenched my thirst for blood, for once, it made me cry, not from pain, but from a feeling I'd never felt before: love. My first impression of the music was that it was being played by the Gods, but it was being played by humans, those men who talked so lovingly of their creation, I could hear their love and care for it. If you think about it, it's poetic. Once a scary monster that was bloodthirsty, it turns docile when it sees its prey creating something wonderful.

Dr. Fisher: In your cave system, some writings were found. Can you explain why you wrote these?

SCP-XXXX: Uh… Not mine.

Dr. Fisher: Do you mean to tell me these writings were made by someone else and put in your cave system?

SCP-XXXX: Yes, someone else wrote those amazing pieces.

Dr. Fisher: Since we interviewed the employees of the building you lived under, and they claim they did not write the stories if you can call them that, I find it hard to believe that you did not write them. There would be no point in employees writing stories like "I am a monster who works for Team Cherry" or "The Monster and Zote +18".

SCP-XXXX: I write to pass the time.

Dr. Fisher: What else did you do to pass the time?

SCP-XXXX: I made costumes.

Dr. Fisher: And what do you do with the costumes?

SCP-XXXX: So I can go to conventions.

Dr. Fisher: You know what that is?

SCP-XXXX: Yes, I wanted to show my love for the games, and I heard that these conventions are a way to show that love to others.

(SCP-XXXX pulls out a picture from out of its hand)

SCP-XXXX: See? Do you like my Hollow Knight costume? It was one of my first.

Dr. Fisher: That's nice-

SCP-XXXX: Are there conventions here also?

Dr. Fisher: This is a facility, not a conversion center.

SCP-XXXX: Could I go to some conventions in the future? The season’s starting soon.

Dr. Fisher: We're getting off-topic has anyone seen you without your costume?

SCP-XXXX: Never, I prefer costumes that are true to the original material, and because Hollow Knight has no human characters or anatomy, the only way to match the world would be to cover my entire body in fabrics and masks. There were times when I had to venture out of the cave to hunt for materials, but it would be a slap in the face to Team Cherry if I ruined their world by making an inaccurate costume.

Dr. Fisher: Ok, I think we will leave it-

SCP-XXXX: Wait, I have a question!

Dr. Fisher: What is it SCP-XXXX?

SCP-XXXX: Have you ever played Hollow Knight before?

Dr. Fisher: No, I don't play video games.

SCP-XXXX: Well, you have a computer or a laptop right?

Dr. Fisher: SCP-XXXX, do you actually have a question?

SCP-XXXX: Well, no but.

Addendum XXXX.2: The following is a passage from the book "Old Australia Stories" made in 1813 that details an entity that lines up with one of SCP-XXXX claims of its past.

It was the first chance we could get when I heard some ships were seeking settlers to settle this new land. After living in those dirty cities for a while, I thought it was a fresh start for my family.

After we had settled into this new world, a dust cloud blocked most of our surroundings, so my family and I settled further away from the dust. After the dust settled a bit, I could see a small town of settlers on the northeast and a wasteland on the southeast. It wasn't as green and lush as I had envisioned, but it's better than the overcrowded cities and dirty streets.

While my wife and I were shopping in town, I heard a settler cry about a demon that pillaged his town. The man told profanities about the Demon. I did not think much about this and carried on with my day. The dust gets worse as the days go by, making it nearly impossible to see. While I was walking back a woman with torn clothing started screaming that a demon had struck down the town, I took her words as a lie and told her off, but she kept insisting that a demon as tall as the heavens had destroyed the city. As I was telling the women not to spit lies at my face, a blood-curdling roar erupted from the town. Looking back, I do not know what prompted me to run to the town with this woman.

When we finally came to the town it was in ruins blood and bodies filled the streets and as I looked further into the dust clouds I saw the demon, its skin was as black as the night sky, it had ram horns that glowed a dull white, and coming from its back and arms were tendrils that moved like a snake, the demon looked at us and began to laugh if you could call It that it wasn't a singular laugh but a laugh of many people. As the woman screamed, the demon laughed even more as it seized her. I saw this and ran, finding my house and running to my family, as I write this, the dust outside is growing worse and we run out of food, I can see that demon in that bellow of smoke watching me.

SCP-XXXX: Yeah, but I moved past that a long time ago. If I drank a human soul, it would be gone, effectively killing that person. But I'm an endless river, so my soul will never go.

Dr. Fisher: Are you mad that we are drinking your soul?

SCP-XXXX: Since I killed thousands of humans for strength and size, I consider letting your friends use my soul as a way of paying back for what I did, however… It would be nice if you would dial back for my sake, but I fully understand if you don't.

Dr. Fisher: Do you still have a taste for human souls?

SCP-XXXX: I’ll get a craving sometime.

SCP-XXXX: However, that doesn't mean I've done it after I said I wouldn't, don't get the wrong idea!

Dr. Fisher: I understand I think we will end this interview-

SCP-XXXX: Are we friends?

Dr. Fisher: The question usually doesn't come up, but what made you want me to be your friend?

SCP-XXXX: I heard that when someone asks a lot of questions it is because they want to be friends, and I think if I had friends, I wouldn't crave souls as much.

Dr. Fisher: Would you stop interrupting me so much if I told you I was your friend?

SCP-XXXX: I guess. Oh, I also heard that friends know their other friend’s names. What is your name?

SCP-XXXX: There are many names I go by, but my favorite is "The Bloodhunter of Old Australia"!

Dr. Fisher: I'm not giving you a name SCP-XXXX. Keeping things professional between us is important to me. You are SCP-XXXX, and it makes no sense to use useless nicknames.

SCP-XXXX: I wouldn't say it's an obsession, just a deep, deep, deep interest. Friends help each other with their interests, and I think you shouldn't cut off my items.

Dr. Fisher: Friends help friends get over the obsession, so the items are being cut off end of the discussion.

So I'm proposing we change "Protocol SETA-6" to be more humane, for starters, we should try to treat SCP-XXXX like a human than just a dispenser, and instead of bloodletting SCP-XXXX we should try to go back to Phlebotomy SCP-XXXX of SCP-XXXX-A, if we have done it correctly we could lower SCP-XXXX pain levels and still get SCP-XXXX-A.

Alpha 1: SCP-XXXX get on the ground!

SCP-XXXX: I don't want to stay on the ground any longer.

Alpha 1: SCP-XXXX, I'm not repeating this stay on the ground!

1118: SCP-XXXX lunges at Alpha 1, the entity bites their hand, and Alpha 1 goes limp. As a result, SCP-XXXX begins growing one meter taller.

SCP-XXXX: Leave me alone-

Alpha 2: SCP-XXXX, just stay down-

SCP-XXXX: I won't let you hurt me again I've suffered for too long! I've done bad things, but you guys are worse! Friends don't hurt friends!

1119: After Alpha 2 begins shooting at SCP-XXXX, the entity grabs Alpha 1's body with its tendrils and throws it at Alpha 2. SCP-XXXX looks at Dr. Eliza and uses a tendril to grab her and pull her to the entity.

SCP-XXXX: You could have done something to stop my pain, why didn't you stop it? Although I'm new to the concept of friends, that doesn't mean I'm stupid. Why did you say you were my friend if you were going to hurt me, I assume so that I could bend over to you!

1119 Alpha 2 shoots SCP-XXXX twice in the back SCP-XXXX begins to scream and throws Dr. Eliza out of frame. The SCP-XXXX begins to produce more tendrils from its spine and neck to cover up the bullet wounds. Alpha 2 gets back up and points his gun at SCP-XXXX.

Alpha 2: SCP-XXXX, get down or I will shoot!

SCP-XXXX: No, I won't-

1120: Alpha 2 shoots SCP-XXXX in the leg and shoulder, SCP-XXXX screams and falls to the ground, and Dr. Eliza walks back into the frame.

Dr. Eliza: Alpha 2 be careful with SCP-XXXX, we don't need it dead!

Alpha 2: Don't worry, it's all taken care of.

Dr. Eliza: Ok then, let's start SETA-6.

Alpha 2: Don't you think we need more security, that thing may try something again?

Dr. Eliza: Are you stupid, we need SCP-XXXX-A, now go restrain SCP-XXXX so we can start!

1121: Alpha 2 begins walking up to SCP-XXXX.

Dr. Eliza: Hurry up, it's bleeding all over! We are losing precious resources!

Alpha 2: (unintelligible)

Dr. Eliza: You speak to your superior like that! I can take you off-

1121: SCP-XXXX grabs Alpha 2 and bites down on his neck, causing Alpha 2 to go limp, while SCP-XXXX grows one meter taller. SCP-XXXX grabs Dr. Eliza with a tendril before she reaches the containment cell doors.

SCP-XXXX: You're not getting away so easily, what's this rule everyone always says to treat others the way you'd like to be treated? This day has been so long in the making for me; how the tables have turned.

1121: SCP-XXXX carries Dr. Eliza out of frame as Dr. Eliza's screams could be heard.

Closing Statement: Ten hours after the incident, a researcher walked in and saw SCP-XXXX doing supposedly Protocol "SETA-6" on Dr. Eliza. Dr. Eliza and other personnel who worked with SCP-XXXX are to be reviewed for their actions. Many human rights law was broken without authorization and unnecessary violence against SCP-XXXX when extracting SCP-XXXX-A.

Dr. Hampton: SCP-XXXX, I'm here on the half of the Ethics Committee to gather testimony from you about your time in containment under Dr. Eliza's care.

(SCP-XXXX doesn't respond)

Dr. Hampton: SCP-XXXX can you answer the question.

SCP-XXXX: I don't want to talk about it.

Dr. Hampton: SCP-XXXX we need your input on what Dr. Eliza did to you so we can get our story straight.

SCP-XXXX: It hurt… a lot.

Dr. Hampton: We need more information than that SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX: Can't you just check the cameras.

Dr. Hampton: We did, but I need you to tell me what she did, so we can make sure she gets the punishment she deserves.

SCP-XXXX: Shouldn't I be the one that deserves to be punished?

Dr. Hampton: Excuse me?

SCP-XXXX: She told me that I deserved to be hurt, that it was justice for all the lives I destroyed, she told me that Harry- I mean Doctor Fisher was too nice to me, and she was right I deserved it, I killed so many I shouldn't have fought back I don't know what came over me, I'm just a monster, a freak and that's all I'll ever be.

Dr. Hampton: You're more than a monster, don't say that. It was never right for her to authorize that protocol, and the personnel should never have followed it. Can you tell us what she did to you?

(SCP-XXXX voice began to break)

SCP-XXXX: Initially, I let her cut me because I thought friends would do that, just like joking around or talking. However, the pain grew worse as the days passed, so I tried to stop them, but nothing worked.

Dr. Hampton: Do you need a moment?

(SCP-XXXX paused for a minute before speaking again)

SCP-XXXX: I expected Dr. Fisher to come back, open the door, see me, and then take me back to Australia. Although I knew he would come back for me because friends don't leave friends, he never came back for me.

Dr. Hampton: Do you know Dr. Eliza's opinion on you?

SCP-XXXX: The only thing she ever talked about was my soul, or how she thought I was a freak and shouldn't exist. I am just a freak with many hands that destroy lives.

What this is

A bunch of miscellaneous CSS 'improvements' that I, Croquembouche, use on a bunch of pages because I think it makes them easier to deal with.

The changes this component makes are bunch of really trivial modifications to ease the writing experience and to make documenting components/themes a bit easier (which I do a lot). It doesn't change anything about the page visually for the reader — the changes are for the writer.

I wouldn't expect translations of articles that use this component to also use this component, unless the translator likes it and would want to use it anyway.

This component probably won't conflict with other components or themes, and even if it does, it probably won't matter too much.

Code colours

Add my terminal's code colours as variables. Maybe I'll change this to a more common terminal theme like Monokai or something at some point, but for now it's just my personal theme, which is derived from Tomorrow Night Eighties.

Also, adding the .terminal class to a fake code block as [[div class="code terminal"]] gives it a sort of pseudo-terminal look with a dark background. Doesn't work with [[code]], because Wikidot inserts a bunch of syntax highlighting that you can't change yourself without a bunch of CSS. Use it for non-[[code]] code snippets only.

Special Containment Procedures: Both SCP-5853-1 and SCP-5853-2 are to be contained within two separate containment rooms. Full and constant surveillance must be kept on SCP-5853-1 and SCP-5853-2. The rooms must be completely empty with only a pair of MTF soldiers being allowed to deliver supplies. As soon as MTF enters they must close the door immediately until they are ready to leave, at which point another task force will be waiting at the other side of the door to eliminate any potential escape attempts.

Description: SCP-5853 are a pair of identical French twins who refer to themselves as 'Evangeline' (SCP-5853-1) and 'Eden' (SCP-5853-2). Both sport shoulder high pale blonde hair with almost glass like blue eyes. Their skin is as pale as a freshly deceased corpse and both have a three inch long gash going from each eye to the side of their lips. The gash is festering and the darkest possible red. Looks almost radiant in a way but ugly at the same time. Apart from these intense similarities there is one major difference between the twins. 'Evangeline ' is frowning constantly and appears in a state of eternal depression. 'Eden is always smiling and appears to enjoy harm. 'Eden' wears an Onyx coloured ensemble including hoodie and jeans where as 'Evangeline' sports a jet outfit similar to 'Eden's' yet 'Evangeline's' jeans are ripped revealing spots of necrotic skin. The pair each had a very rustic knife upon containment by the Foundation.

Notes The twins claim responsibility for over 200 murders in France between June 2015 and April 2021. This appears correct as many survivors of attacks mention the "W U Killers" in reference to the killers unique facial animations. 'Evangeline' only Reluctantly answers questions and gives small and concise answers whereas 'Eden' ever continues to be playful with her responses. A few O2 scientists have had to be forcibly removed from questioning 'Eden' due to the anger her responses invoke in the scientists.

Special Containment Procedures: [Paragraphs explaining the procedures]

Description: SCP-7732 is the designation given to the anomalous properties of an accessible pocket dimension located inside an abandoned building. The anomaly consists of four sub-anomalies designated SCP-7732-A, SCP-7732-B, SCP-7732-C and SCP-7732-Gamma.

SCP-7732-A is a small local supermarket in █████, ███. The building is composed of four main sections: a shopping area, the manager's office, a break room, and a storage room. However, only the storage room appears to be directly tied with the anomaly. It remains non-anomalous for all days of the year except for February 17th. The reason as to why such a specific date causes the manifestations is currently unknown.

SCP-7732-B is a seperate dimension acessible through the entrace of the storage room in SCP-7732-A during February 17th of any year. Exploration missions conclude that it appears to be an extensively large barren wasteland with no Earth life present. The only organism that inhabits SCP-7732 are instances of SCP-7732. The atmosphere that occupies SCP-7732-B consists of several toxic gases, investigations conclude the atmospheric composition to be roughly 56% hydrogen sulfide, %31 hydrogen cyanide, and 13% carbon monoxide.

SCP-7732-C are large, animate stone figures with a humanoid structure; measuring 4 meters tall on average, they are extremely resistant to physical damage. They mostly remain inert inside SCP-7732-C and only awaken during the event designated as SCP-7732-Gamma.

SCP-7732-Gamma is an event that occurs exactly between 7-9pm on February 17th of each year. During this event, several SCP-7732 instances exit SCP-7732-B. They then proceed to find a human victim, preferrably between the ages of 20-50. They bring the victim with them to the summit of Mt. ███, located near the town. After this, SCP-7732-C begin chanting in an unknown language, while the alive victim is placed on a ████ █████ to then be [DATA EXPUNGED] and [DATA TERMINATED BY O5 COMMAND]. Two hours later, they return back to SCP-7732-B, leaving no signs of anomalous activity behind. When asked, the town's residents seem to be completely unaware of the event's occurence.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is in containment by its free will. Under no circumstances will SCP-XXXX be exposed to any living organisms. SCP-XXXX must be observed and communicated using audio and visual surveillance. When interacting with SCP-XXXX, nothing involving violent crimes is to be mentioned. All instances of SCP-XXXX-1 are to be destroyed immediately. SCP-XXXX is contained in a building in Southern Mexico known as site [REDACTED}. A team of 5 researchers are to observe SCP-XXXX routinely to ensure it remains in containment. Failure to abide by these rules will result in an XK class scenario.

SCP-XXXX-2 is to be contained in a room kept at 200° Celsius to prevent any instances of SCP-XXXX-2-A from being created.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a sentient avocado measuring 6cm by 3cm. X-rays of SCP-XXXX have revealed that SCP-XXXX has internal organs located within the seed. SCP-XXXX has the ability to talk and communicate telepathically with others. SCP-XXXX refers to itself as "The Avocado God."

SCP-XXXX can fly in a way that is similar to the flight of a missile at 200 kilometres per hour. SCP-XXXX also possesses reality-altering abilities. When exposed to an individual who has committed what it deems as a violent crime, SCP-XXXX turns said person into a non-sentient avocado. These avocados are referred to as SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX has the ability to control Scp-XXXX-1 to its will and is known to combine SCP-XXXX-1 to make artillery and weapons such as tanks, catapults and canons; however, this event has only happened once and has led to the destruction of site-[REDACTED].

Researchers believe SCP-XXXX comes from an alternate dimension in which fruits and vegetables replaced humans as the dominant species. This is proven further by SCP-XXXX’s hostile attitude towards other fruits and vegetables. It engages in an argument with said fruit or vegetable, and when the fruit or vegetable does not respond, SCP-XXXX propels itself at said fruit or vegetable causing it to explode. When exposed to other avocados, SCP-XXXX engages in conversation with said avocado. When it does not reply to SCP-XXXX, it believes that said avocado is deceased and mourns it. SCP-XXXX then refers to said avocado as “A warrior lost in combat”.

When the area in which SCP-XXXX was located was searched, personnel recovered a statue of an avocado with text engraved on the bottom reading “ To my one true love, Ava.”. This statue is designated as SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2 emits cartoonish hearts from its base when the phrase engraved on it is read. These hearts are designated as SCP-XXXX-2-A. SCP-XXXX-2 is unable to produce SCP-XXXX-2-A in extreme cold or heat. Human subjects that come into physical contact with SCP-XXXX-2-A will experience a tingling sensation across their back. After 29 hours, the subject’s skin turns green and rough and the subject begins vomiting what appears to be guacamole. After 30 hours, the subject turns into a giant avocado.

Discovery Log SCP-XXXX
SCP-XXXX was first noticed when several farmers went missing in [REDACTED]. When the area was searched, 8 levitating avocados were discovered. SCP-XXXX then communicated mentally to the personnel located in said area. Only one sentence has been fully deciphered by foundation researchers: “You are impure.” All personnel were then turned into instances of SCP-XXXX-1 and flown into the sky with SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX was only contained once 12 class-D personnel lured SCP-XXXX into its containment area in site-[REDACTED]. All of the class-D personnel were then turned into instances of SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX breached containment resulting in the destruction of site-[REDACTED] and the surrounding area.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored within a standard containment unit at Site-19. Research personnel with Level 3 or higher authorization may conduct tests with SCP-XXXX after proposal approval from Dr. Torres.

Tests involving SCP-XXXX have been discontinued following Incident 026-A. An Ethics Committee review led by Dr. Josefina Vega is currently in progress.

Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a large sphere composed of bronze and copper pipes approximately 2 meters in diameter. The interior of the sphere is hollow and contains a reservoir of liquid, classified as SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-1 possesses a faucet that when turned allows SCP-XXXX-2 to be expelled. “FREE YOURSELF” is etched onto the sides of the faucet.

SCP-XXXX-2 is a mixture of cleaning products and purified water. Chemical assays have found it is mainly composed of acetic acid, sodium hydroxide, various fatty acids, and calcium carbonate.
SCP-XXXX-2 has the anomalous effect of untethering objects and organisms from gravity when they are fully coated with the liquid. It also has the memetic effect of causing observers to report that an object washed with SCP-XXXX-2 appears cleaner regardless of its actual physical state.

Test subjects washed in SCP-XXXX-2 have reported long lasting euphoria as well as feelings of freedom and vigor. Test subjects are able to control their movement in space easily with what resembles instinctual or innate ability. Observers have reported feelings of jealousy and longing when observing test subjects.

Addendum: 1/22/2020: SCP-XXXX was delivered to Site-28 along with a multitude of other potentially anomalous artifacts following an MTF Mu-3 raid on a mansion in ██████, New Jersey. SCP-XXXX was found within a glass case which contained an item listing which described its ability to cause weightlessness. Beginning experimentation. -Dr. Torres

Subject: Wooden chair. Approximately 5.5kg.
Notes: Became weightless when soaked in SCP-XXXX-2. The chair was able to be lifted with no effort and remained in place wherever it was left in the air. Observers reported feeling that the liquid did a remarkable job of cleaning the subject.

Subject: Soiled D-Personnel mattress. Approximately 25kg.
Notes: Became weightless when soaked. Research personnel reported that the mattress looked brand new. The mattress did not appear to have any substantial change in appearance besides now being wet. When asked to explain, Researcher Suwan stated that she knew it was physically filthy, but that it somehow felt immaculate.

Subject: Lead cube with a volume of 1 cubic meter. Approximately 11,350kg/12.5 tons.
Notes: Brought to SCP-XXXX’s chamber using air casters. Became weightless when soaked. Weight may not be a factor for the liquid’s anomalous property.

Addendum: 03/05/2020: Findings point to SCP-XXXX being an incredibly useful tool for many applications. So far the properties seem to be permanent and consistent.

SCP-XXXX-1 appears to produce more of SCP-XXXX-2 through an automated function that occurs 1-2 hours after SCP-XXXX-2 is expelled. Thermal imaging has shown that SCP-XXXX-1 is not able to completely reproduce the volume of SCP-XXXX-2 lost, with a base loss of 3% which increases with volume expelled. This indicates a possible finite amount of SCP-XXXX-2.

Organic matter will be tested next to investigate any potentially hazardous effects. -Dr. Torres

Notes: Became weightless when soaked. No chemical changes found besides those that would occur upon exposure to the cleaning chemicals found within SCP-XXXX-2.

Subject: Three live mice in a cage. Approximately 1.5kg.
Notes: Became weightless when soaked. Subjects emitted high frequency chirps associated with pleasure. Subjects were able to move around the chamber easily by pushing the cage in the direction they pleased. One mouse was terminated for autopsy which found no abnormalities. The two remaining mice are kept in SCP-XXXX’s chamber for continued testing.

Subject: D-11298. Female, age 32. Approximately 61kg.
Notes: Became weightless when soaked. Harness was placed on subject beforehand to prevent unrestricted flight. Subject began laughing and rose above the floor. She reported feeling like a large weight was taken off of her, and that she felt revitalized and free. Research personnel found it hard to continue documenting and would stop taking notes to watch her. D-11298 underwent blood and tissue sample collection and was escorted back to her cell and placed under observation.

Notes: An anomalous side effect has been found with the loss of weightlessness in Subject 44. At 12:08am video footage into Subject 44’s cage showed the mice displaying signs of distress. This distress began to increase drastically over the next several minutes coinciding with their loss of weightlessness. Both Subject 44-1 and Subject 44-2 shrieked in fear and attempted to escape their enclosure. Subject 44-1 was seen biting at its own fur and flesh. Subject 44-2 shrieked until becoming catatonic. Subject 44-1 was found dead in the morning from self inflicted injuries. Both subjects were autopsied and had no anomalous damage. Subject 44-2 appeared to have died from a heart attack.

This news is unsettling. No hazardous or anomalous side effects have been found leading up to the loss of weightlessness. The weightlessness seems to have a persistent expiration date approximately 9 months after application. Subsequent testing will focus on studying the effects of the loss of weightlessness in live subjects. - Dr. Torres

SCP-XXXX Incident 05-A
Date: 01/13/2021
Subject: D-11298. Female, age 33. Previously Subject 48. Approximately 61kg.
Notes: D-11298 was placed under 24-hour surveillance after Incident 01-A. D-11298 was not made aware of the event and was simply told that researchers predicted that her weightlessness would likely expire within the month. D-11298 expressed disappointment but was nonetheless in good spirits quipping, “like all good things, I guess”.
01/12/2021: D-11298 fell asleep in the air above her bed an hour after lights out. D-11298 appeared comfortable. At 1:02am D-11298 began tossing and turning, an atypical sleep behavior for her. She began slowly sinking towards the ground. D-11298 jolted awake and let out a terrified gasp. She began plunging quicker in an inconsistent pattern, bobbing upwards slightly as she struggled. She showed behavior similar to Subject 44-1, tearing at different parts of her body with her nails and teeth in an attempt to pull away from something. She appeared to be successful for a moment before falling quickly soon after, letting out an exhausted scream as a result. D-11298 continued screaming and clawing until staff arrived and sedated her. After waking in the infirmary, D-11298 displayed the same panicked response and was promptly sedated.

01/25/2021: D-11298 appears to be unable to think clearly enough to describe her experiences. The fear and psychological damage shown is consistent with all tested animal subjects. D-11298’s mental state during the day has improved slightly after amnestic treatment, but she experiences persistent nightmares that result in self-mutilation. Testing will now focus on prevention of these symptoms to potentially protect the remaining D-Class personnel and researchers that have been exposed to SCP-XXXX-2. - Dr. Torres

SCP-XXXX Incident 026-A
Date: 06/17/2021
Subject: Dr. Torres. Male, age 47. Previously Subject 102. Approximately 75kg.
Notes: Dr. Torres was placed under 24-hour surveillance after Incident 022-A. Dr. Torres had become increasingly distraught and paranoid following the loss of weightlessness and subsequent mental breakdown of assistant researcher Mali Suwan. All attempts to prolong the effects of SCP-XXXX-2 have failed. Reapplication of SCP-XXXX-2 appears to have no effect. Dr. Torres has been transferred to a hospice suite for his remaining days. SCP-XXXX has been temporarily placed under the care of Dr. Obo.
06/17/2021: Dr. Torres was unable to sleep and refused sedatives as time drew closer to his expiration date. The following is the audio log of his last night.
11:23pm: What a fool I was! What a fool! What a fool! What a fool! If only I waited longer, if only I didn’t let hope consume me, she would still be here… They’d all still be here…
11:24pm: Dr. Torres began sobbing while grasping at his face and hair.
12:52pm: “I have to find out what is happening. I don’t want anyone else to have to suffer. I don’t want to sleep through it, I need to know. The feeling of freedom, it’s instinctual. Like something buried, taken, stolen. What did we all forget? I need to know. I need to know - I need to know - need to know. Need to make things right.”
2:16am: Dr. Torres begins nodding off into sleep.
3:48am: Dr. Torres descends slowly. Dr. Torres jerks his arm, stopping the descent for a moment, before it begins again faster.
3:49am: Dr. Torres wakes up and starts kicking and writhing.
“Dear god! Oh dear god! ███ ███████”

Addendum: 06/20/2021: All experiments with SCP-XXXX are to cease immediately pending an Ethics Committee review. Dr. Torres’s logs are to be sealed behind 05 Clearance and all associated researchers below said clearance to be given amnestics. All still living subjects are to be euthanized. Special Containment Procedures: Due to SCP-XXXX being extremely cooperative during all of his time of staying under foundation custody O5-3 gave him permission to work at Site-42 as a Level 3 Researcher under the name of "████ █████ ██████".
