Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a Class 1 Anomalous Object container at Site-29 when not undergoing testing or use by foundation personnel. Access to the object must be approved by at least two researchers of Level 3 clearance or higher. Subjects utilizing SCP-XXXX are required to undergo psychiatric evaluation prior and post exposure to SCP-XXXX (See Addendum XXXX-B). Testing of SCP-XXXX must be monitored by Site-29 medical staff in the event of psychological and behavioral abnormalities in subjects post exposure to SCP-XXXX. Under no circumstances are personnel that have been administered amnestetics to be allowed access to SCP-XXXX (See Addendum XXXX-A).
Description: SCP-XXXX is a black eye mask composed of silk, polyester, and rubber. The object exhibits no unusual physical properties apart from its tensile strength, which resembles that of hardened steel. The mask itself is consistent with the Manta brand of sleep masks produced between the years of 2005 and 2012. However, the mask itself lacks the company’s manufacturer markings.
When worn, the wearer is transported to a corridor stretching beyond the subject's range of vision, with doors lining its walls. Various tests indicate that the amount of doorways and the physical length of the corridor change depending on the subject. GPS tracking of subjects has proven ineffective, implying that the corridor may exist in a separate reality.
Subjects report tranquility and increased curiosity inside the corridor, pushing them to navigate it. After three minutes, the subject will attempt to open one of the doors and proceed within. Subjects report to observe a third person perspective scene of an event from their past within, with a majority of these scenes prompting a positive response from subjects.
Subjects have also observed vocalizations (hereby designated SCP-XXXX-1) post conclusion of the observed scene. In all cases, SCP-XXXX-1 will attempt conversation with the subject in regards to the scene. In all cases, SCP-XXXX-1 prompts an overall positive outlook from the subject, and is often described as a voice similar to that of a close friend or family member related to the subject.
When SCP-XXXX is removed, subjects return to their location prior to interaction with SCP-XXXX with no observable deterioration in physical or mental health regardless of time elapsed. It is of note that individuals suffering from PTSD or other stress related conditions observe the most significant change in overall demeanor post exposure to SCP-XXXX. Testing into the potential use as an antidepressant or therapeutic device is ongoing.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was discovered by foundation field agents on 5/7/20██ following numerous reports of a new mental health treatment program developed by DreamScape Pharmaceuticals™, based in Tampa, Florida. Foundation agents confirmed the anomalous nature of SCP-XXXX after field agents arranged appointments with the clinic in question, and a demonstration of the procedure was observed. Class-B amnestetics were supplied to all staff at the clinic and all documented individuals that underwent treatment via SCP-XXXX were subsequently questioned, amnesticized, and released. SCP-XXXX was later transported to its current containment at site-29.
Addendum XXXX-A: Given the potential breach of secrecy SCP-XXXX presents for individuals that undergo amnestic treatment, such subject experimentation is unanimously prohibited by the O5 Council. (see Experiment II for details).
Addendum XXXX-B: Following Experiment III, all experimentation with SCP-XXXX must be approved by the two researchers of Level 3 clearance or higher. All subjects are to undergo psychiatric evaluation prior to and following the use of SCP-XXXX to avoid any potential hazardous behavioral development within site staff (see Experiment III for details).
Experiment I
D-9341 is a 30-year old caucasian male previously known as Pvt. Benjamin O. Walker. D-9341 has a history of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder related nightmares following the failed Operation Hellfire, resulting in D-9341’s AWOL status and eventual dishonorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps. Subject is equipped with a digital camcorder outfitted with a transmission beacon, a GPS tracker, vital monitoring systems, and an audio headset for communication with Dr. Trout at command.
<BEGIN LOG>
Subject D-9341 is escorted into testing chamber 12-A and instructed to place SCP-XXXX over his eyes. Subject complies and places the object over his eyes. Video and audio feed malfunctions for approximately thirty seconds before connection is reestablished. GPS tracking of D-9341 malfunctions, and subsequent attempts to re-establish GPS location fail.
Dr. Trout: Visual confirmed. D-9341, please report.
D-9341: Yeah, I’m here…wherever here is…
Dr. Trout: Please proceed down the corridor.
D-9341 is observed to turn, facing down both directions of the corridor. After two minutes, D-9341 proceeds down the corridor in a single direction, stopping intermittently while examining the doorways.
D-9341: Something feels off, doc.
Dr. Trout: Please elaborate.
D-9341: I don’t know…it feels like I’m dreaming or some shit…what exactly is this place?
Dr. Trout examines the vital signs of D-9341, observing brain activity consistent with REM sleep cycles. The rustling of papers is heard for approximately ten seconds before the conversation resumes.
Dr. Trout: Please continue down the corridor.
D-9341 proceeds down the corridor for an additional sixty seconds with no observable endpoint to the corridor before pausing in front of a door to his left. Subject is observed reaching for the doorknob before dialog resumes.
Dr. Trout: D-9341, why have you stopped?
D-9341: I…I don’t know. Curiosity I guess…why are there so many doors?
No response from Dr. Trout is heard for around thirty seconds, at which point Dr. Trout instructs D-9341 to open the door in front of him and proceed through it. D-9341 obliges and enters the doorway, appearing in what seems to be a village in modern day Afghanistan. D-9341 is observed quickening his breathing upon observation of the scene.
D-9341: What the fuck…what the FUCK?!
D-9341 is seen frantically looking around the scene before pausing on three individuals dressed in standard United States Marine field operations equipment, with one of the soldiers matching D-9341’s physical appearance. D-9341 approaches one of the individuals, reaching a hand out to them as the group proceeds down a narrow street.
Dr. Trout: D-9341, please report.
No response from D-9341 is given for the next few minutes as contact attempts go unacknowledged. D-9341 proceeds to follow the individuals within the scene.
D-9341: No! Stop! James for fucks sake please stop!
Dr. Trout: D-9341, are you there? Please respond.
The individuals proceed forward despite D-9341’s requests. After a few seconds, the sound of a firearm discharge is observed in the audio feed and one of the figures collapses to the ground. D-9341 is observed in extreme emotional distress following this event and the scene ends. D-9341 is observed sobbing for approximately two minutes following the conclusion of the scene. Dr. Trout attempts dialogue with D-9341 during this time. Subject does not respond, and vocalizations from an entity (designated SCP-XXXX-1) are observed.
SCP-XXXX-1: It wasn’t your fault, Ben.
D-9341 is observed turning to his right, then left before standing still once again, as if confused.
D-9341: Who said that?!
SCP-XXXX-1: Easy, I’m not gonna hurt you. I’m sorry you had to see that again.
D-9341 is silent for a few seconds.
D-9341: You were my brother…
SCP-XXXX-1: I still am, but I never blamed you for what happened that day.
D-9341: Our position was compromised…we should have been more careful…maybe then you wouldn’t have had to die…
SCP-XXXX-1: Ben, please…this isn’t the life I wanted for you…hell, this isn’t even living. You’re dwelling on the past when you should be looking towards the future. You can’t keep thinking about what you could’ve done. It’ll eat you up from the inside out.
D-9341: I tried to save you…
SCP-XXXX-1: And I would have done the same for you, but its time to live your best life. If not for yourself, then for me.
D-9341 is observed sobbing once again, before SCP-XXXX-1 establishes dialogue once again.
SCP-XXXX-1: It’s okay, Ben. I forgive you…it’s about time you forgive yourself.
D-9341: I love you James…I miss you so much…
SCP-XXXX-1: I never left, Ben…and I never will.
D-9341 is observed standing at attention, saluting in the direction in which audio observed SCP-XXXX-1 originating from, before lowering his hand and exiting the scene through the same door as its entry. Video surveillance fails to observe any physical manifestation of SCP-XXXX-1. D-9341 is instructed to remove SCP-XXXX and is subsequently escorted back to his cell following psychiatric evaluation by site psychologists.
<END LOG>
Notes: Upon questioning, D-9341 stated that SCP-XXXX-1 was the voice of one Pvt. Jameson B. Walker, who was fatally wounded while on assignment with D-9341 prior to Operation Hellfire. When pressed, D-9341 simply said “I think I finally got to say goodbye”. Subject reports no further nightmares post SCP-XXXX exposure, and has shown an increase in cooperation with foundation personnel following exposure.
This is a placeholder for further SCP drafts of mine, don't mind me. :D

Item #: SCP-5964
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5964 shows no current threat but in the event of SCP-5964 falling out of earth's orbit, all people within 1300 kilometers of the speculated landing spot will be told to evacuate for the next 24 hours. If any fragments of SCP-5964 that remain will be collected and further researched The fragments of of element 110 will be stored away and are only to be accesed by agents with level 4 and above clearence and any animals that might have survived the collision will be also collected for studying.
Description: SCP-5964 is A massive structure that orbits earth at 500 kilometers above the earth's surface, is approximately 3 kilometers wide, that is made of 4 parts. The center part is a transparent dome that contains an island ecosystem that has a number of different species. Ranging from deer and seagulls to extinct creatures such as the thylacine and entelognathus. This variety of creatures intrigues many researchers about how the island's ecosystem remains stable. There are three massive metallic structures measuring 5 kilometers in height and 0.2 kilometers in width that encircle the dome. The composition of the structures or dome is unknown as well as their purpose. SCP-5964 is perpetually suspended in earth's orbit and makes a full rotation every 24 hours. Due to this SCP-5964 will always be above Khulna, Bangladesh. SCP-5964's age is unknown but records of it go back to the indus river valley civilization, the first photograph was taken by the British Raj in 1859. This location is monitored by foundation agents 24/7 in case of 5964 falling out of orbit. SCP-5964 came to the attention of the foundation in the first year of the foundations creation in ████.

A few weeks ago a mysterious island in the sky in Pakistan came to the attention of the foundation that same week agents were sent out to see it for themselves to see it's properties. On arriving they couldn't see the island even from miles away but upon getting closer and using their telescopes they could see it and noticed that it was a dome like shape with 3 mettalic spires surrounding it and that it never moved. It was then classified as SCP-5964. We are currently unable to research it further due to our inability to access it as of now

For the Love of Humanity
Special Containment Procedures: An anti-memetic perimeter is built in a 2km radius around SCP-XXXX-1. Maintenance on this perimeter is performed annually, at which time Foundation research expeditions may occur. Due to the harsh natural environment surrounding SCP-XXXX-1, the location requires no further containment measures. Standard protocols are in place to restrict public knowledge of SCP-XXXX's substantial influence on humanity's evolution.
[PLACEHOLDER IMAGE] Photo of SCP-XXXX-3 expunged for potential cognitohazard. Safe rendition pending.
Further research on translations of the proto-writing within SCP-XXXX-1 requires express permission either from two of SCP-XXXX's lead researchers or written authorization from Head Researcher Dr. M. Bresson[REVISION PENDING]. A database tracking exposures to SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-3 must be maintained and up to date.
Images of SCP-XXXX-3 are not to be spread to avoid worsening the possible memetic effect. Dr. M. Bresson's objection, citing "redundancy", has been declined.
Description: SCP-XXXX denotes the anomalous events, entity, and effects hypothesized to have influenced the evolution of humanity's ancestor Homo erectus into Homo heidelbergensis between 700,000-800,000 years ago. The evidence for such anomalous activity is centered within the point of origin, SCP-XXXX-1, located approximately 250 kilometers south-west of the town of In Zghmir, Algeria.
SCP-XXXX-1 is an underground cavern containing evidence of an ancient primitive community, belonging to a previously unknown ancestor to Homo sapiens. This ancestor has a genetic makeup distinct enough to be given the binomial nomenclature of Homo animalis. Evidence indicates Homo animalis had technological abilities not seen for hundreds of millennia. Examples including the usage of hearths for cooking meat, as well as sophisticated weaponry including balanced throwing spears, indicating hunting methods which requiring planning and foresight. The research team for SCP-XXXX believes such advances were influenced by SCP-XXXX-2, a minor deity-like entity who lived among Homo animalis as the societal matriarch. SCP-XXXX-2 was not worshiped, but accepted by Homo animalis as equals.
This entity expired through inconclusive means, causing the community's disbandment. After SCP-XXXX-2's passing, the advanced abilities concentrated within the society dissipated, but the evolution of Homo heidelbergensis accelerated in the following millennia. Through SCP-XXXX-2's influence on Homo animalis, the descendant Homo heidelbergensis species adopted the same advances, eventually utilizing fire for cooking, developing primitive social structures with multi-generational roles, and developing language. All of the above were present in Homo animalis. Evidence suggests Homo erectus may have used fire to a lesser degree, but the other qualities are absent.
SCP-XXXX-3 denotes the hundreds of cave paintings found within the cavern, which may have a mementic effect on those who view them or attempt to discern their meaning. The research team for SCP-XXXX believes this mementic effect is similar to the effect SCP-XXXX-2 had on Homo animalis.
As of 2024, the research project on SCP-XXXX is considered complete. All research has been compiled by the research team, spearheaded by Dr. M. Bresson, into a three-volume work. Foundation members with an interest in the anthropological impact and ongoing memetic effect of SCP-XXXX may refer to "SCP-XXXX and the Origins of Modern Man" (2025, 3rd Ed). Notable methodology and processes of the research team, as well as supplementary documentation to outline the research project, have been attached below.
Discovery: Found on 11/17/1997 by Foundation personnel tracking [REDACTED]. During the expedition, the Hume meter detected borderline anomalous activity south of the location, with a 0.05% deviation from normality. Once reached, the land above SCP-XXXX gave no evidence of anomalies. Without provisions to dig through sand but with sufficient provisions to monitor the location, personnel stayed at the area for 7 days without witnessing any unusual activity. Authorization was received to return to the location with powerful excavation equipment. After digging through sand for approximately 30 meters, rock was hit. Personnel drilled through three meters of rock before breaking through the ceiling of a large cavern. Minor damage was sustained by SCP-XXXX-1.
Map of Algeria. SCP-XXXX-1 is located at coordinates 25.39, -2.56, circled in red.
The following notable findings were found within:
- The cave paintings were discovered, classified as SCP-XXXX-3 twenty-five years later. Analysis indicates these were created between 700,000 and 800,000 years ago.
- Bone residue of animals and some indication of fossilization, in line with the hunting habits later seen in Homo heidelbergensis.
- A tunnel leading to an exit buried in sand.
- The floor was solid rock, later concluded to be naturally occurring. At the time SCP-XXXX-1 hosted Homo animalis, the area of the Sahara surrounding it was akin to a savanna grassland.
- Anomalous plant residue, discovered after DNA testing on ashes gathered in patters on the floor and walls. Results did not link the residue to any plant matching the historical record, but would fit within the Polypodiopsida class. Thermoluminescence dating techniques enhanced by SCP-████ were used on burned plant residue, dating it to around 730,000 years ago.
SCP-XXXX's research team believes these ashes to be the remnants of SCP-XXXX-2.
An excerpt from Lead Researcher Dr Bresson's personal log provides the best initial description of SCP-XXXX-1's interior.
Date: 04/17/1998
Location: 25.39, -2.56 -2.65? (Confirm with Kiros if that's right)
I wasn't prepared. I had a friend back some thirty-odd years ago back in my time at St Andrews, before I got my anthropology doctorate. She was working on an Egyptology masters. Maybe fifteen, twenty years later, she told me she got it, she got a research position to study the mummy of Nefertiti. When she saw the corpse, she told me she was surprised it was real. Not a dream, not imagined. A myth before her. She said the feeling was like "finding the last thing in your life." I would like to talk to her more about that.
The entrance, once unburied, is simple rock. Either natural or anomalous creation, not the work of man. I'm sure it would have resembled a natural cave, those millennia ago when it last saw the sun. The excavation team wounded it. There's a crack in the ceiling that was plugged after some hundred pounds of sand trickled through. I understand they did not know what they were dealing with, expecting to find another horror. They did not expect a delicate miracle. I'll forgive them another day.
A long tunnel with a ceiling too low to stand upright, made of the same natural materials, connects the entrance to the cavern. I believe the tunnel was carved, first of many signs of civilization. The walls here are blank. Once through it, you reach the main only room, rough estimate of 300 meters end to end. The whole structure is like an igloo, with the entrance snaking up to the surface before it was buried. Set on bedrock? Investigation recommended.
These cave paintings must be older than writing, older than man, older than any semblance of who we believe ourselves to be. Few depictions of daily routine? No signs of agriculture, although I do not know how any evidence of it could have survived. There are marks of fire; the ceiling is stained black, with markings drawn by wiping away ash, like it was a canvas. It is beautiful, brilliant. An ingenious way to create while conserving resources. Most of the walls are covered in paintings and symbols. Even up to the ceiling. How did they do that? Samples must be collected.
The paintings and carvings in stone. There are hundreds. Religious significance plausible. Mostly black and reddish brown. Likely ash and blood. It is remarkable, absolutely remarkable that it has stained the rock for this long a time. Likely anomalous, further research required.
One thing I must note. There are swirling black lines from the outer edges of the cavern, which spiral towards the center. A circle has been drawn there, less than a meter in diameter. A construct of planning and intent. It is blank. Religious significance probable. My guess is that the lines are, again, ash.
Am I being too sentimental? I hope not. I would like to describe this in the objective manner I've done with other locations. But stories have always made me sentimental. And standing in that cavern, looking at works by all these beings that would be classified as pre-human, I feel as though I have found a missing chapter in the story of us. If my sentimentality can't be excused now, then it can never be.
Further research must be done.
After significant research, some of the numerous symbols on the walls were found to be writing, confirmed to convey meaning. This would predate the earliest surviving instance of writing by approximately 700,000 years. While the writing is primitive, work done by Dr. Bresson and Dr. Rebecca Thane provided a rough translation, guided by consistent markings by specific cave paintings. Researchers focused in particular on a portion of wall surrounded by paintings, which was flattened using primitive tools. On this portion of wall were few symbols, theorized to give them prominence. An absolute translation cannot be achieved with the sparse surviving evidence, but the best translation reads as follows:
Ma. I kill.
Many. Forgive.
Ma.
Ma. Return.
Forgive.
SCP-XXXX's research team found the symbols denoting "forgiveness", "return", and "mother" repeated on numerous surfaces within SCP-XXXX-1.
Addendum.XXXX.1: In September of 2012, research for SCP-XXXX was put on hiatus as, by the research team's own admission, all collected evidence had been exhausted. In May of 2014, Dr. Oliman and Dr. M. Bresson submitted an application to resume research, based on Dr. M. Bresson's theory that the numerous cave paintings were evidence of language. Funding was approved by Site 15 Director Novales two months later.

"Ruminations, and The End, Again"
As always, we are running out of progress to make. I don't deny I am saddened disappointed frustrated heartbroken by how much time we spend reaching for the next step, and find only air. The search for substance hurts more when you fully, and incorrectly, believe you are not alone in a void. But that is life, and that is history. I will not regret our spent time when it ends. We will return to writing our book, of course. Perhaps we will find that one last piece of evidence somewhere. I do not think we are done, or finished. As always, I have that tiny spark of hope that we will find another step to take. Our end does not diminish what we do already know.
I remember wishing to be right, seeing the same symbols by the same paintings. Locked into my own understanding, assuming they were signatures. But I never expected to be right. It was writing. It truly was. 700,000 years ago someone wanted to say something before anyone could speak. Someone wanted to be heard before anyone could listen.
Manayu would have listened as best she could to anything the Loved had to say. Evidence tells us that it was not a religion, it was a community. I believe the influence of this quiet god was much the same as ours on our own loved ones, only trying to do the best for our loved. My Our guess theory is that she was their teacher and protector. How she taught, we don't know, but we assume it was telepathic or by demonstration, as there is no remaining evidence for how she communicated.
We think she stayed and protected the Loved for at least 2,000 years, and during this time the community developed the advanced abilities displayed within the cave.
How slowly the years pass when nothing changes.
She was hurt, yes, we know that much. Someone at the outset of human civilization was too kind or too cruel. The symbols for "forgive" and "return" outnumber any other of the symbols we find, two to one. Except for "mother," of course. "I kill" is only written once.
The blank spot, the mark on the floor, was treated with respect, was left alone, even cleaned. The ashes, burned plants, are spread in a design of some significance. As these ashes have the strongest anomalous readings associated with them, we believe either the residue itself or the method of immolation was anomalous. We guess that circle is where she died.
Evidence further indicates that she did something to the Loved, almost at the same time she died. After, the Loved left the cave. A rough estimate of three generations within the area. And then they spread, and lived, and evolved. We don't yet know what it was.
These are our best guesses, but we believe them good. I still cannot believe the depth of these people, truth be told. Liz still sometimes imitates my expression when I realized it could be language, as a party trick. She could have been a great actress, honestly, but I'm glad she's here. I am more proud of each of them, Rebecca, Art, Andante, and Eliza, than I can put into words. I hope they know it, I can never find the right things to say.
So here we are again, looking down the sights of another ending. Manayu was instrumental to our identity, not just as people being people, but for humans becoming human. I just don't know how. I know we are not done. And I don't have any guess reason evidence for it, but I hope we will find something else. Here's to the next expedition, and here's to finding another stone to overturn.

Good morning,
I am following up again with the attached request. SCP-XXXX last went on hiatus a few years ago, as we had exhausted all our troves of data. But now, with my clearance and Dr Bresson's leave, I have developed the Osteographic Extrapolation Device, which from basic fragments of bone, can accurately reconstruct portions of a skeleton. I believe the study of our ancestor's anatomy will be the final information we need to understand SCP-XXXX as completely as is possible. I believe our new Site Director was wrong to decline the reopening of our research.
I do not believe our research will uncover any immediate or distant threat to humanity. But I believe the value of this research is beyond what threats it may uncover. It is fundamental to the understanding of ourselves and our world.
I was willing to forgo my promotions and advances in the Foundation to continue working with Dr Bresson on this project. I have dedicated much of the last years of my life to the OED, which will have uses beyond SCP-XXXX.
I am sure you will find the best use for it. It cannot be patented, as it uses SCP-████ and SCP-████, but I relinquish it and its design to your care. I only request at least another two years full funding, an extra expedition to SCP-XXXX, and permission to use it as we see fit on SCP-XXXX.

Final Experiment SCP-XXXX: Through the use of Dr Thane's device, the research team compared the skulls of Homo animalis to Homo Heidelbergensis and Homo erectus. After exhaustive study and inspection, it was decided that a key difference between the anatomy of the Homo erectus and Homo animalis brain is that the Homo animalis skull had more room for the orbitofrontal cortex. Reconstructions of the Homo heidelbergensis skull indicated similar results.
Prefrontal cortex for Homo sapiens.
The orbitofrontal cortex is present in Homo neanderthalensis and Homo sapiens. Current understanding of this portion of the brain is rudimentary; on a basic level the cortex relates to decision making and expected reward. As the research team still had six months of funding, resources were then devoted to understanding this portion of the brain.
Initially, subjects were connected to an EEG machine and researchers asked a series of questions, with the goal of stimulating activity in the orbitofrontal cortex. After the question methodology failed to produce conclusive results, Dr Bresson suggested eliciting more emotional responses. Pursuing this route, Dr Helma and Dr Andante wrote various stories to better suit a particular emotional response from the subject. Basic psychological profiles were complied for each test subject by the team psychologist Dr Eliza Glazer. Subjects were asked to imagine themselves as the protagonist for each story, and were questioned how they would make it through the trials set before them, what they would risk, and what they would do to succeed. The constant theme of each story dealt with the difficulty in maintaining possession of a treasured object, concept, or person.
Towards the end of the testing phase, Dr Bresson volunteered to be tested.
The full paper, detailing all methodology, stimuli, and results, can be found in "SCP-XXXX and the Origins of Modern Man" vol. 3. While a paper of suitable length is created, Dr Bresson's conclusions after the final test subject were recorded. A transcript is available below.
Note:
The above information is grounded in evidence, research, and fact. The below passages contain abject speculation and may not be factual. It is the opinion of the remaining members of SCP-XXXX's research team that Dr. M. Bresson's theories, if not provably accurate, represent the best conclusion of the research project. However, corroborating evidence for some claims does not exist.

Foreword: Dr Bresson has been hooked up to an EEG, while Dr. Oliman and Dr Thane monitor the device to ensure continuous accurate output. Dr. Glazer and Dr. Helma monitored the readings themselves from the adjacent observation room, taking notes on Dr Bresson's reactions and the EEG's readings. Line of communication between tester and subject remains open.

Dr. Glazer: How you doing, doc?
Dr. Bresson: Oh. Oh! Fine. Um, fine.
Dr. Thane: I think… yes, I'm sure everything's in, it held through this time. Liz, Art, can you confirm everything was received? Moe, I think you can take a look.
Dr. Bresson: Ah, okay. Yes. Dr. Oliman, could you…
Dr. Oliman: Sure, yeah! Hang on.
Dr. Oliman begins disconnecting Dr. Bresson from the EEG machine.
Dr. Helma: Looks clear on our end.
Dr. Bresson: Did it…?
Dr. Glazer: Yep, like you said, doc. The cortex lit up when you believed, really believed, that this would work.
Dr. Helma: It was bright, too. Really bright.
Dr. Bresson: Oh! Ah, good. That's…
Silence.
Dr. Oliman: Almost done, prep the info.
Dr. Helma: That's pretty much it, I mean… the orbitofrontal cortex lit up when it was supposed to. At that moment you thought it would, Mo. Come on, what's your guess?
Dr. Bresson: I, um… I think I have an idea.
Twenty seconds of silence.
Dr. Helma: We'll listen whenever you're ready, Mo.
Dr. Bresson: Oh! Oh, very well. So I think… let me think.
Five seconds of silence.
Dr. Bresson: Manayu… was hurt. But, beyond that, I think, I think her response… well. She thought of the Loved as her children, I think. I guess. And they thought, um, of her as one of them, their own, too.
Ten seconds of silence.
Dr. Oliman: Sorry, what about the cortext?
Dr. Thane: Again, it's cortex. There is no "t".
Dr. Bresson: Ah, um. Heh. Well… I think it, developed, when Manayu did what uh… killed her. I think… she was angry? No that's… not right, she was, uh, heartbroken, yes. And, and that can make someone… harm the ones they love, but I don't think it would be outright cruel.
Twenty seconds of silence.
Dr. Bresson: I think she, uh, gave the Loved something. I think…
Silence.
Dr. Bresson: I think it was hope.
Absolute silence.
Dr. Bresson: And that, uh, makes a lot of sense to me. It's, in a way, cruel, but, it can't be seen as only a punishment. She tried to teach them, protect them, live as best as they could for themselves. And… then she couldn't?
Dr. Oliman: Sorry, then before, the Loved were just hopeless all the time?
Dr. Bresson: Well… maybe, but-but I doubt it. Uh… animals don't… need hope, right? A deer doesn't flee from a wolf because it… hopes for escape, it flees because, that's instinct. Stimulus-response. S-so before we got hope, we… had no cause for it. I think this enabled us to move past instinct, into… greater realms of thought.
Inaudible muttering.
Dr. Bresson: Well… well… is that not the most amazing thing you have ever heard? A small act by a minor SCP, and it has had reverberations, pushing us forward throughout all of time and history! To this very discovery! We… suffer through it all, don't we? For the hope of a better life, somewhere? How else could we… fight in the darkness so others…
Silence.
Dr. Bresson: Oh, um… at least, that's my guess.

O5-05: Well. He is late, ain't he? And why is this SCP unavailable? What level clearance did this little $#!+ make this SCP?! HOW?! He-… He is not a )@≠π director! Ooh! I'm going to have fun terminating that little $#!+!!!

O5-10: Terribly sorry, as Reginald was just telling me of this funny story about a man from Nantucket.
O5-05: We have better "jokey stories" here in Chernobyl.
O5-10: So that is where you've been all this time?
O5-05: Wait, what? Goddesses no… I'm just saying that in general.
O5-10: Hmm, how quaint.
O5-05: Where is he?! He better have a good explanation for making us wait 25 minutes.
O5-10: Surely, mayhaps he is in a bad intranet system? I'm joking of course.
O5-05: Not funny.
O5-10: Oh, didn't laugh? I remember when you used to laugh at all of my jokes.
O5-05: 10, I swear on Mielikki that if you do not shut up about that time in Bornea, I will ram my foot and shove it up your bass!
O5-10: I do not have a bass fish, but I must say this reminds me of the time in Australia. You were such a shark-eteer! Oh, how you rambled on about Wobble-de-gooks and whatnot. Such grand ole times.
O5-05: (ò_ó) Take that back you &@$+@%)! I will £^¢×ing cut you and ram my arm down that ¶^$$¥ of a mouth before I make you ¶!$$ blood!

O5-05: Finally! Took you an hour before you decided to "grace" us.
L: My apologies, as SCP-████ was out again. Shut off all electricity for at least 3 hours. Luckily a hotspot and a laptop
THAT ARE SCP FOUNDATION REGULATION were near my office.
O5-05: Ok. Yikes. Talk to us, L. What are we looking at here? This SCP is pending?
O5-10: Yeah, I was told that we had some SCP that is "instrumental" for the Foundation.
L: All in good time my dear O5's. But, tell me, what does music feel like?
O5-05: What?! An hour of nothing for a £^¢×ing question about £^¢×ing music theory?!
O5-10: Whatever do you mean, L? I'm sure that my compatriot is most eager to learn of our newly acquired SCP.
L: Please, answer me first. What does music, or rather, music feel like? Grating? Soothing? Soft? Hard? What?
O5-05: That's a stupid question, where is the SCP Article?
O5-10: You have 2 minutes to explain before we initiate the termination order of you, L.
L: How gracious. Ok, let us assume that every sound wave is physical. And let us assume that
THAT physical wave can transform before "hitting" your eardrums. That very soundwave is already softening
AND it has been made to be more soothing before it even reached your ears. Now, where this SCP comes into play will blow you away. Allow me to upload this and you can
TRY to terminate me.

O5-05: WTF?! Why did it print?! L, you've got 3 seconds to spit it out!
O5-10: Oh, that wasn't my doing?
L: No, the "A.I." is behind this. Mu51-C is monitoring what we say and making sure that information is not able to be spread.
O5-05: Why are there these black marks?
O5-10: It is possible he wishes for others not to view the sensitive information. Or nonsense.
L: Well, O5 personnel are able to see the info, as this was on paper before it was scanned and all information was recovered. Meaning the redacted information is able to be viewed. Give the paper like 10 more seconds to dry. Also, use the blacklight I have sent to yall, hopefully, this will all make sense.
Item #: SCP-6███
Object Class: Instrument / Humanoid
Containment Class: Euclid-Prodest Keter-Prodest
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-6███ is to be under guard by no less than 30 guard/task force personnel, this is to make sure that no entry/access to SCP-6███ is authorized. Anything coming within 2 miles is to be detained and/or destroyed IF RESISTANCE IS NOTED. SCP-6███ is to be given no more than 20 pounds of metal per month, along with 2 recent human cadavers, after the materials are "consumed" 5 D-Class Personnel along with 1 Researcher and 20 Guards are to examine SCP-6███ in detail and ascertain if SCP-6███ is upgrading within SCP Foundation standards. If SCP-6███ is left alone for more than 24 hours, MTF-MU-51-C "CRASH. END… OH!!!" and CTF-5OS0 "mεh" are to recontain SCP-6███ or activate the onboard nuke if necessary. SCP-6███ is not to be allowed to learn any form of music, this includes playing an SCP-6███-5 instances or any musical instrument correctly, experimenting with any of the aforementioned, tapping rhythmically, or "beatboxing". Should SCP-6███ be seen doing any of these actions,
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-UPSL-1-A is to be under guard by no less than 30 security personnel including 12 task force members, 13 researchers, and 10 D-Class personnel that have screened and moderate music skills, no expert leveled musical D-Class are allowed near SCP-UPSL unless specific instructions from the O5 Council or 5 of the 9 Level 4 personnel associated with this project permit this request. If SCP-UPSL-1-A shows signs of familiarity with an SCP-UPSL-4 instance, failsafe Mu-7 is to be implemented immediately until further notice. Under no circumstances is SCP-UPSL-1-A is to be allowed to learn how to properly play any of the SCP-UPSL-4 instances, especially SCP-UPSL-4-1.
Description: SCP-6███ is made of several components:
SCP-6███-1 is a masked humanoid attached to SCP-6███
SCP-6███-2 is any person/being that becomes an "employee" of SCP-6███
SCP-6███-3 instances are projections of persons that SCP-6███ had seemingly claimed
SCP-6███-4 is currently theorized to be the 2-mile "safe zone" that SCP-6███-1 "controls". Currently, there is no information that supports this fully, nor to disband this theory entirely. Further testing is highly requested.
SCP-6███-5 instances are instruments that SCP-6███-1 makes, labeled SCP-6███-5-1 (Pipe Organ) through SCP-6███-5-34 (Bass Drums). For a full listing of each SCP-6███-5 instance and their current status and effects, see 6███-5.documental.02/25/
SCP-6███-5-1 is made up of a majority of the UPS Customer Center, located 28.041095, -81.9045593, along with 4 UPS Step Vans, 50+ human cadavers, and 23 other vehicles. A "fuel island", which is located at 28.042106, -81.903973, is fully integrated into the mass of SCP-6███-5-1, being the main component that "powers" SCP-6███-5-1 and exhausting flames that reach approximately up to a mile when played. Currently, SCP-6███-5-1 is unable to be played due to sufficient damage caused by 3 years of neglect for SCP-6███-5 instances as well as a lack of fossil fuels, 20~ pounds of metals, and fresh human cadavers. How SCP-6███-1 is able to convert these materials into SCP-6███-5 instances is unknown but under the closest observation.
SCP-6███ is located at 220 Complex Drive. SCP-6███ was originally a UPS Warehouse/UPS Customer Center. However, during an event, dubbed "Symphony of the dreaded", over 50 humans, including 12 customers, 13 managers, and the rest of the employees were made into parts of SCP-6███, with no lack of spare parts. SCP-6███ is unable to be perceived in its true form until either 2 events occur.
The first is where a living being becomes "hired" by SCP-6███, which involves SCP-6███-3, humanoid projections that will interact with the "hiree" until the "hiree" is signed on to be an employee, whereupon they, now considered SCP-6███-2, will go into SCP-6███ and lie on top of an actively moving conveyor belt, which leads into SCP-6███ to SCP-6███-1. SCP-6███ will proceed to rip apart SCP-6███-2 for 13 minutes before returning to its idle position and the body of SCP-6███ will become, through an unknown method, SCP-6███-3. The second is more common than the first, where SCP-6███ will inconsequentially lose power due to poor management of bills. The second scenario has allowed the Foundation to acquire it and evacuate every living being within 2 miles (which was initially impossible, but doable with the help of local law enforcement while not allowing any negativity being pushed onto the law enforcers.) and erecting Containment Area 1 5 15 51, lead by Dr. Edward Mu C.
The anomalous effects that are beneficial to the Foundation, as well as others, include a continuous stream of music (Usually accompanied by instruments made out of the equipment and resources nearest to SCP-6███ involving car parts, conveyor belts, wired fences, and trees.), control of all automobiles in a 2-mile area (This has allowed SCP-6███ to steer any unauthorized personnel from entering as well as assist in delivery to and from areas, but there need to be 3 agents in each vehicle to allow for both tracking of each vehicle as well as patrolling the surrounding area. SCP-6███ has been able to detect when something has entered its 2-mile radius, forcing vehicles to speed away from its location or to make all vehicles in its radius converge onto the object, this, in turn, is why 3 agents are to be in each vehicle, to deter or terminate any trespassers.), and a destructive force with music that has been noted to obliterate SCP-3199 eggs without any damage to anything around it (This is only achievable from ALL made instruments made by SCP-6███-1 as he is the only corporeal being in SCP-6███. The range is seemingly infinite. It has also been noted that outside of 2 miles from SCP-6███, decibels reach well over 200.). Within 2 miles of SCP-6███ decibels are within safe parameters, never reaching more than 100 decibels, meaning any noise is made purely from SCP-6███. SCP-6███-1 has been noted to playing SCP-6███ and playing rather abysmally, due to
SCP-6███-1 wears a mask with wiring holding it together. The mask is separated at the mouth area, is asymmetrical, and on the bottom part of the mask, written in Japanese, poorly painted on: 覆面 (fukumen (which means "Masked Face")). When viewing it through the back, the viewer's eyes are gouged out by the wires, but any life sucked by the mask shall make the viewer become the wearer and live much longer. If the mask falls, from a height higher than 2 inches, it never hits the ground hard as it hovers 1 inch before landing on the ground (no matter if the ground rises or lowers at a rate of 1,000+ inches a second). If viewers view the mask through the eyes from the front shall lose their life to the mask and die immediately. The longer the mask is on the person, the less "human" they become. As the mask gouges out the eyes, the wires are plunged deep in the person and cause pain and soon euphoria. The blood of the wearer is pumped into the mask and to the wearer. Soon the veins and arteries are replaced slowly with the same wiring. It will not go on anything that is not human as well as anomalous humans. If left on the wearer for more than a month the mask will be bonded with the wearer until they pass from their timed death occurs or when massive brain trauma causes the wearer to become a potato. Currently, there are 182 "potatoes" and 3 corpses. When someone is searching for it, the mask emits a field that makes it irretrievable until the person loses interest in it and forgets about it.
O5-05: So… What is it about SCP-6███-5-13? How is that "EXPUNGED" from paper?!
O5-10: You saw that too?
L: That uh… I have no idea. This isn't my SCP, so I have no idea why this is the case.
O5-05: L?…
O5-10: Oh bother…
L: Yes, O5-05?
O5-05: You do realize that 5-13 is unavailable to us?
L: Yes.
O5-05: And this is not your SCP?
L: Correct.
O5-05: Where is Mu?
L: Dead.
O5-10: That is a tragedy.
O5-05: How?!
L: $#!+ happens.
O5-10: Oh dear… L, you must be joking.
O5-05: What do we pay you for?!
L: I am just a "smart" researcher assistant! I was told that this SCP would never be touched… I was told that O5 wouldn't interrogate me, but no… Should never listen to Technical Researcher Rosen.
O5-05: L, you do realize that incompetence is no excuse? Also, why are you contacting Rosen?
L: Well, I heard good things about him… And… I uh… I suck at this job…
O5-05: No, you do not… You just suck…
O5-10: 05!
O5-05: What?! Look, just-… Come to Australia, you and I are going to have a long talk about this.
L: Yes ma'am.
O5-10: I will accompany you, L. You will be needing assistance.
L: I do thank you O5-10.

Item #: SCP-5362
Object Class: Thaumiel
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5362 is to be contained in a thick, steel, 1 m x 1 m x 1 m space. Make sure that the wall is large enough that the creatures wont eat through the steel and cause 1000s of dollars worth of damage to the facility. A personnel must feed SCP-5362 the medicine labeled “SCP-5362” to them every day. This medicine causes their teeth to be more sensitive, and makes their eating-machine power a bit more manageable. A humidifier is also used for comfort in the cell, but it is hidden so they do not eat it.
Feeding them bread or any other human food is strictly prohibited. If a personnel does do this, they will most likely become food for SCP-5362.
Description: SCP-5362 is a small creature, no larger than 2 cm (0.7 Inches). They largely resemble a mite, and usually travel in swarms. They have tiny legs, but many of them, as well as a quite aerodynamic body. This allows them to travel quite fast, but not unmanageably speedy.
They will swarm up into groups of thousands and eat whatever is in their path, with an intent to eat more. This is what makes SCP-5362 so dangerous. Because of this trait, they are used by the facility to get rid of pests and breached SCP (Like at Site-██).
SCP-5362 were originally found in South America, but all are believed to be in custody of the foundation. They prefer moist areas, hence the humidifier. They do not drink much, most likely because they eat moist foods, which makes water not very necessary.
Termination of SCP-5362 is not necessary, as it can help out the foundation. The only acceptable time for termination is if they are breached, which then termination is necessary. If you do not terminate the now breached SCP, good luck containing it!

Special Containment Procedures: The Foundation has requisitioned emergency funds from the UN to aid in research towards ways of neutralising SCP-6000. All civilians are to be immediately evacuated from tsunami zones and areas likely to erode into the ocean. Global aid efforts are to be directed towards the relocation of civilians to refugee camps situated in high-altitude areas. Cargo ships are to be repurposed for the transport of food, construction and medical supplies for humanitarian efforts.
Reality benders capable of initiating a calamity on the scale of SCP-6000 have been consulted regarding potential means of stopping or suppressing the effects of SCP-6000. No method of prevention has been discovered.
A disinformation campaign has been initiated, describing SCP-6000 as a result of human-incited global warming melting aquatic methane hydrate deposits. Investigations into the cause of SCP-6000 not led by the Foundation are to be suppressed or undermined by any means, so as not to interfere with the Foundation.
As of 3PF, the Foundation’s existence has been revealed to the world to a limited degree, portrayed as a small organisation operating under the UN specialising in crisis containment. This was done to enable superior control over the world’s resources to better direct humanitarian efforts and contain SCP-6000.
SCP-6000 has proven invulnerable to thaumaturgic and anomalous means of prevention. The scale of SCP-6000 is too large to be properly contained. The following table details attempted methods of neutralisation or avoidance of SCP-6000.
| Proposal |
Method |
Result |
| Heavy-Scale Scranton Reality Anchors |
Massive SRCs would be deposited at strategic points along the bottom of the ocean, to stabilise the regions. |
Ineffective. |
| Bailing Water Into Pocket Realities |
Portals to several pocket realities would be opened on the ocean floor to drain water. Continually disposing of and replacing the pocket realities would allow significant amounts of water to be removed. |
Water levels dropped marginally before the pocket realities collapsed under the pressure and released the water back into the ocean. Filling a pocket reality to such a degree had never been attempted before. |
| Escape |
Numerous possibilities for evacuation from Earth were proposed, including floating cities, orbital habitation posts, and off-world colonies. |
All proposals were denied. The majority were infeasible, ethically unsound, or couldn’t be undertaken without the abandonment of SCP-6000 prevention operations. |
| Underground Bunkers |
Self-sufficient expandable underground bunkers would be constructed. |
Due to the eventual submersion of most of Earth's landmass, bunkers have no long-term viability. The project was aborted in the early stages. |
| Prayer |
In light of the similarities between SCP-6000 and various flood-based myths, the entire world population was encouraged to pray to their respective Gods. Sacrificial rituals were to also be performed. |
Ineffective. |
Description: SCP-6000 refers to the phenomenon of water frequently erupting from below the sediment of the ocean floor around the world. SCP-6000 occurs at random intervals, with an average of one SCP-6000 instance daily. The influx of water results in a continual, rapid rise in ocean levels. The increase in water covering the Earth meant that the majority of low lying areas and coastal cities were submerged shortly after SCP-6000 began occurring. The quantity of water released varies, but generally causes a global rise in ocean level of several centimetres daily.
Rainfall has increased as a result of SCP-6000, causing flooding further inland. Many arid areas experienced an increase in crop output, while other areas had submerged farmland. The rain also caused more hillside erosion; population centres in hilly areas have experienced severe damage.
During SCP-6000, pressurised water will explode from the ocean floor, releasing millions of tons of water into the ocean. Regions of SCP-6000 activity have been excavated and investigated. The surrounding areas are highly damaged from the eruption, so investigation of SCP-6000 blasts must wait for days after the event while the debris settles. No cause has yet been found. The eruptions of SCP-6000 cause extreme damage to the ocean floor. The resulting underwater landslides can cause both damage to coastlines, and form tsunamis. SCP-6000s occurring in the deep ocean will also destroy methane hydrate deposits, which will then release methane into the atmosphere, increasing the rate of glacial melting, and causing further flooding.
A disaster on the scale of SCP-6000 must be immediately halted. The continual, irreparable damage SCP-6000 does to Earth makes its neutralisation an absolute priority. Failure to stop the rising sea levels in time will permanently hinder or prevent the Foundation from fulfilling its primary mission of preserving normalcy. There is no indication that SCP-6000 will stop, and a continuation of the current trend will ensure complete submersion of the planet in less than 200 years.
If SCP-6000 was created by a sapient entity, no motive is obvious. Attempts to communicate with higher beings and deities to find information have yielded no results.
SCP-6000 was discovered after a series of significant rises in oceanic height did not correspond to any recorded glacial melt. Foundation operatives were dispatched to investigate the statistical anomaly. Upon SCP-6000’s discovery, fictitious scientific records were created to justify the sea-level rise.
SCP-6000 occurrences have increased exponentially, causing more flooding across the planet. The Foundation evoked emergency powers, gaining control of the UN and the GOC. The Foundation then initiated a programme to unify all global powers to work together to stop SCP-6000. Any nations, companies, and GoIs refusing to comply with the Foundation were infiltrated, incentivised, or destroyed. The bulk of Foundation resources were dedicated to civilian support and damage control. Very little is known about the anomalous principles governing SCP-6000, and very little could be done to contain or neutralise the effects of SCP-6000.
Addenda
The following is a timeline detailing Foundation Operations after the first SCP-6000 event.
1PF: Water had begun to leak into the Ways. The Serpent’s Hand had retreated into the Wanderer’s Library and sealed the Ways permenantly. Any possibility of escape from SCP-6000 through the Ways has been destroyed.
4PF: The Foundation had exhausted all potential means of counteracting SCP-6000. No new information had emerged after years of studying SCP-6000. It was concluded that the only realistically achievable goal was to wait until the circumstances of SCP-6000 altered.
12PF: SCP-6000-1 manifested. SCP-6000-1 is an SCP-6000 instance that manifested in the Dead Sea. This was the first recorded case of SCP-6000 taking place outside of the ocean. The eruption destroyed nearby communities, and the water released in the blast was enough to overflow the lake. The Foundation immediately moved to secure the area for testing. Due to the shallowness of SCP-6000-1, it could be conveniently analysed. SCP-6000-1 is currently undergoing testing. See the SCP-6000-1 Test Results document for information.
23PF: The Foundation had experienced massive personnel and infrastructure loss as a result of the floods. Almost all of its resources had been expended, and supporting a widespread workforce was no longer a viable option. It was concluded that the most realistically feasible method of achieving the Foundation’s goals is to shut down indefinitely. The remainder of Foundation resources were used to construct new facilities on higher ground, with the capacity to autonomously hold anomalies in perpetuity. Upon the completion of construction in 30PF, all disposable anomalies were neutralised and all others were put under Automated Containment Protocols. The Foundation then officially disbanded.
In 70PF agriculture had become near-impossible because of flooding from the constant rain, salt entering the soil from the ocean, and the land restrictions from the rising water levels. There was a mass exodus from populated areas, and civilians migrated to high mountains. Casualties grew from a lack of food, land, and survival knowledge. The end of the human race was close at hand, but the Foundation was revived under the leadership of the new O5 Council, made up of the Holy Prophet Noah and his twelve disciples. The Foundation Site near the summit of Everest Island was established as the new headquarters. The Foundation changed its mission to prioritise the salvation of humanity and its unification under one true God.
Civilians were shepherded on ships from mountaintops around the world and delivered to the Himalayan Archipelago. They were given homes, fed with fish and loaves of bread, and made to begin work on God’s vision. The previous occupants of the Himalayan Archipelago were also brought to work on the Ark Programme by the Holy Prophet Noah.
Civilian Management Parameters: Civilians under consideration for salvation aboard an Ark must be screened for acceptable mental stability, health, fertility, and intellect. Civilians must be between the ages of seventeen and fifty to be admitted. If a candidate is found, they are to be assigned to one of the Arks and must undergo training to ensure that they can work efficiently.
Cathedral sessions and sermons led by the Holy Prophet Noah are to be conducted weekly on the construction sites throughout the islands to frequently reaffirm their knowledge that salvation can only be achieved through servitude to our Lord. Attendance is mandatory.
Boats shall be dispatched to the remaining groups of survivors around the world to retrieve survivors and bring them to the Himalayan Archipelago. Due to the gasoline shortage, boats may only be used for resource and personnel transport between the Archipelago.
Campgrounds must be patrolled by guards to suppress illegal behaviour. Those found guilty may be placed on mining duty. Rations are to be strictly controlled. A single ration package may only be supplied in exchange for an overseer-signed ration slip earned after six hours of Ark construction.
Civilians working in labour camps on Ark construction are not permitted to have telecommunications devices, radios, or any other technology which will allow them to contact the outside world. Should a guard or overseer fail to act accordingly to prevent dissent, they and their family's reserved place aboard the Arks shall be suspended. Injured and sick workers are to be fed half-rations. Workers demonstrating exemplary work ethic may be recommended for salvation aboard an Ark by their overseer.
Ship Construction Programme: The Arks are a collection of thirteen boats that will be capable of sustaining a human population indefinitely. The Arks are under construction at multiple confidential sites across the Himalayan Archipelago. Their locations shall not be disclosed to prevent attempted illegal boarding or assault.
The Ark programme was created in 76PF by the New Foundation, under the guidance of the Holy Prophet Noah. Using science, thaumaturgic technology, and the light of God, each Ark can accommodate a stable human population of 20,000 occupants for an indefinite period and withstand severe conditions.
Thaumaturgic runes are inscribed on the interior and exterior of the Ark hulls. The runes prevent water leakage and rust from water exposure. Weak memetic agents have been inscribed in the corridors of the Ark to enforce loyalty to the Holy Prophet Noah and His cause.
Arks can periodically submerge and descend to depths exceeding 4,500 meters for short periods. For deeper descents, Arks are equipped with small manned and automatic submersibles which allow for resource transport and item retrieval, the submersibles can descend to over 7,000 meters, to pre-flood sea level.
The construction of the Arks is primarily being undertaken by civilians who have been promised a possible place aboard the vessel in exchange for compliance. This is a necessary measure to ensure that the maximum number of Arks are constructed. The construction process also serves as an assessment to search for suitable Ark passengers.
Mining for resources to construct Arks is limited to dry periods, as the shafts were dug when the oceans were lower, and rainwater can quickly fill holes. When possible, cooking implements, personal effects, and expired technology may be melted down and used as building material. In cases when materials can only be acquired through mining, mining work is reserved for criminals, due to the danger involved. The mines will be bailed whenever the rain desists, and tarps will be placed to direct rain away from the mine entrance. Mining operations will resume until the rainwater rises enough to begin flooding the tunnels. In case of flash mine floods, all miners are to be equipped with emergency oxygen tanks and underwater flares.
Ark Procedures:
Once the water rises to a sufficient level, selected passengers shall board the Arks and all doors shall be sealed. Once the water has risen enough to support the Arks, they shall be released from their moorings and allowed to float.
The Arks are to be captained by the Holy Prophet Noah and his disciples. They will be responsible for the management of the Ark’s resources, staffing, and routines, as well as providing religious guidance. The captains of the Arks reserve the right to terminate any passengers in the interest of efficiency. Communication between the Arks is difficult due to the high level of rain, and while all disciples report to the Holy Prophet Noah, they hold full authority over their vessel when not instructed by the Prophet.
Captains must contain anomalies as per the mission of the Old Foundation. There is a containment complex in the storage sector of each Ark, allowing for the storage of anomalies. Submersibles may be used to acquire and contain SCPs manifesting on land.
The top levels of the Arks are dedicated to solar power harvesting. Enough power will be harvested from the sun to support vital systems, but the majority of the power will be collected from a nuclear reactor. The lower levels are reserved for greenhouses, cabins and dorm rooms, a water purification and waste reclamation plant, and a cathedral. The Arks also contain sufficient resources for the construction of aquatic mining outposts, allowing more supplies to be delivered to the Arks. The Ark's most valuable cargo is a cache of the preserved genetic material of pre-flood plants, animals, and fungi, which can be used to repopulate the Earth once the flood recedes.
The Great Flood:
An excerpt from one of the Holy Prophet Noah’s sermons on the Great Flood:
The sinners, the unclean, the atheists, they all thought that the Great Flood was natural, that there was nothing to be learned from the ocean swallowing their homes and friends. Those who came before us questioned the purpose of the flood and tried to halt it. They were foolish, for the decisions of God are immutable and we are not worthy of questioning Him.
The devout knew the truth. My own father was a holy man, of sorts. He worked tirelessly to contain and protect the world from the sinful works of the Devil. He saw the rising waters and knew it was not Nature torturing its children for no reason, but divine retribution. Who but God could raise the oceans and sink the land? Who else has sunk the weak of the world once before, that the strong and pious may rise? Who washes away the sins of man?
Yes, my friends, the old world had become riddled with sin. They rejected tradition and worshipped false idols. God wept for what the sons of Adam and the daughters of Eve had become. He wept, and his tears cleansed the Earth of wickedness while his holy chosen people, the first Noah and his disciples, floated above the drowning sinners.
I am that self-same Noah, sent from Heaven and clothed in new flesh to save the Earth from its evil sins. I am your shepherd, and I will lead you, my flock, to salvation on the promised dry land that awaits us after we prove once more that we are worthy of God’s love.
The test results were completed and the flood’s cause was revealed to the public in 13PF.
Analysis of SCP-6000-1-EX has proven that SCP-6000 is a natural occurrence.
The cause of SCP-6000-EX is pockets of highly pressurised heated water located in the Earth’s crust. Shifting tectonic plates below the oceans had sealed massive amounts of water underground and compressed it into a very small area. As human activity destabilized the seafloor, the pockets of water were able to erupt outwards, releasing huge amounts of water into the ocean. The damage to the seafloor caused by the initial SCP-6000-EX explosions allowed more water deposits to also escape. The eruptions filled in the caverns holding the water, and prevented discovery of the cause of SCP-6000-EX until SCP-6000-1-EX occurred in a shallow region of the dead sea.
Comment: SCP-6000-EX was a result of unacceptable negligence on the part of the Foundation. The effects of the flood may have been mitigated if the event had been properly categorised and handled in a global effort.
We have none to blame but ourselves.

The balance of the capsule is not to be assisted in any way, although the room in which it is contained can be.
Specialized Capsule Protocol: SCP-XXXX-12's capsule is balanced on a pure uranium cone, whose sharpest point does not exceed or fall short of 0.0013 inches. The room in which this is located is constructed of cubic boron nitrate and is stabilized by 13'000 stability anchors. This set-up is contained in a pocket dimension which can be put directly into SCP-XXXX-P rather than extracting SCP-XXXX-12's capsule from the cubic boron nitrate room in which it is contained. When not contained by SCP-XXXX-P, this pocket dimension, henceforth AD-324913, is to be surrounded by 13 stability anchors and placed in the exact center of an altar constructed of hexahedral diamond located in a cathedral 0.26 kilometers (~853 feet) away from SCP-XXXX-P.
Note: A foundation designed artificial intelligence is located in the cathedral to assist central placement of AD-324913.

SCP-XXXX-1; Teyakc, The Elemortal of Life: A gargantuan entity donned with a mask of bone, resembling a skull the skull of an unknown creature, possibly the skull of another SCP-XXXX-1 entity, although The Foundation has not found any sign of additional SCP-XXXX-1 entities. Due to the sheer size of the creature, it is impossible to acquire a sample in order to confirm this.
The entity is mobile, able to transmute matter, and shape topography. While the creatures that inhabit AD-49156 are often hostile, SCP-XXXX-1 seems to be completely benign.
AD-49156: Dimension consists of gargantuan, often hostile, wildlife that extends to a distance of $1.314\cdot 10^{████████████████████}$. Multiple teams have been sent into AD-49156 to determine the nature of the entity, only one (1) out of the one hundred and eight (108) that have been sent in have returned.
SCP-XXXX-2; Ahhachsaba, The Elemortal of Fire: The entity consists of a mass of fire resembling that of a woman. Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX-2's dimension, exploration is impossible.
AD-38501: The dimension is completely dark, the only light source is SCP-XXXX-2. The PSI of AD-38501 is extremely high, and as a result, SCP-XXXX-2's capsule is only to be implemented into SCP-XXXX-P during circumstances where it is absolutely necessary. It is speculated that that AD-38501 is the location from where SCP-4051 draws his fire from.
SCP-XXXX-3; Teshnackt, The Elemortal of Blood: Speculated to be a Scp-610 entity at a level of infection that was not thought to be possible. The entity is capable of spreading SCP-610 infection with only its thoughts, an ability with no known limits [See Incident Log XXXX-610-19]. SCP-XXXX-3 has a dull white shade of skin, with fleshy red highlights on its torso, hands, face, and spine. In the middle of the entity's chest exists a fleshy red protuberance resembling a semi-transparent heart. Not much else is known about the entity due to the lack of testing materials.
AD-84820: This dimension is an exact replica of the prime dimension with the exception that everything in the dimension has traces of SCP-610 infection. The infected creatures of AD-84820 are at various stages of SCP-610 infection.
Note: Though humanoid SCP-610 infected subjects have been found inhabiting the Earth in AD-84820, no human settlements have been found. It is suspected that a process similar to translocation into SCP-3008 is present somewhere in the prime dimension and leads to AD-84820.
SCP-XXXX-4; Ayakc, The Elemortal of Death: A colossal ash cloud capable of protruding body parts from this cloud. The entity most often is observed with a single head and at least 13 arms, a random number of which are multi-jointed.
AD-91819: A colossal maze of unknown size. When SCP-XXXX-4's capsule is inserted into SCP-XXXX-P, the location at which the wormhole opens is consistent. Despite this, SCP-XXXX-4 seems not to linger at the opening location, suggesting multiple wormholes from different realities can access AD-91819. The terrain of AD-91819 appears not to be consistent throughout, though there are always gargantuan skull formations constructed of what has been confirmed to be human skulls. Out of the ███'███ teams sent in sent in, none have returned. Efforts to locate the center of AD-91819 are ongoing [See Exploration Logs].
Scp-XXXX-5; Dreanachk, The Elemortal of Darkness: A humanoid entity, slightly larger than the average human male. The entity's skin looks and feels like wood. The face of the entity has been recorded to be a receding spiral of wood. Scp-XXXX-5 is always observed wearing a cloak, the color of which has [DATA COURUPT]. Spiral horns are often observed at the top of the entity's head. The hands of Scp-XXXX-5 have the texture of human flesh. The entity is almost always observed wearing anywhere from 3-13 bracelets on its wrists, one of which is always beaded.
Note: Any and all written information regarding SCP-XXXX-5 or AD-83904 must be written as black text with a black highlight. SCP-XXXX-5 is capable of plasmatic generation, almost always used to create a square of red light, which cannot reflect off of anything due to the complete darkness of AD-83904. Exploration of whether SCP-XXXX-5 can see inside of its own dimension is currently ongoing impossible.
AD-83904 An enormous forest of unknown size. The anomalous properties of AD-83904 prevent visual perception. The only known way for visual perception to be possible inside of AD-83904 is through the utilization of SCP-XXXX (The Blacklight).

SCP-XXXX-7; Uullboouer, The Elemortal of Pain: The entity possesses shadowy black wings, and is clad in an armor of unknown origin, although testing has revealed the armor to be part of the entities biology. The entity possesses 6 eyes, each emitting a faint light-blue glow. SCP-XXXX-7 also possesses two large gauntlets of unknown composition on each of its hands, and in the center of each gauntlet is a gemstone that glows light-blue and emits a mist of the same color. Covering each gemstone are two sheets made of the same material as the rest of the gauntlet, but with different engravings. The intensity at which the gemstones glow seems to be related to the amount of pain that SCP-XXXX-7 is exposed to (The entities perception of pain extends across all of baseline reality), and as such, the amount of SCP-999-E that is required to contain the entity [See Procedure 7-9 Ahden].
AD-32840: A ritualistic landmass made of stone-like material. The area is surrounded by stone doorways resembling the arches in Stonehenge. These doorways, when crossed, lead to a hall of stone chambers that hold numerous different entities, each experiencing a state of endless torture. If SCP-XXXX-7's main containment procedures fail, procedure 7-B Ahden is to be carried out after a vote by The Ethics Committee [See Procedure 7-B Ahden].
SCP-XXXX-8-A, SCP-XXXX-8-B, and SCP-XXXX-8-C; The Triumvanant: A group of three (3) entities, each often seen holding a glowing tesseract. The Foundation does not understand 99% of their anomalous capabilities. Detailed in Document XXXX-N [See Addendum], The Triumvanant's capsule is the primary capsule contained in SCP-XXXX-P. Research to discover the nature of The Triumvanant is ongoing. The skin of each of the sub-instances resembles the cosmos when viewed in an area with 0% light pollution on a stary night.
SCP-XXXX-8-A:
AD-58410: an area of open space where all SCP-XXXX-8 sub-instances can be found holding a 4-dimensional cube, anomalously stable despite the rest of the universe being part of the 3rd. Probes that have been sent into AD-58410 have found nothing after traveing █

Procedure 7-9 Ahden:
Developed by researcher Ben Ahden of The Foundation's Secondary Containment Development Unit.
13% of Scp-999's mass is to be extracted and contained in a 13 by 13 by 13 containment cell no more than 13 meters away from another Scp-999 instance. If after 13 weeks in containment with a constant supply of human affection, no sentience is observed, the mass of Scp-999, now designated as a new instance of Scp-999-E, is to be contained in a titanium-glass cylinder whose area has been proven to have any correlation with the number 13. In the case that the mass extracted from Scp-999 gains sentience, it is to be classified as a new instance of Scp-999. It is to be noted that only the original Scp-999 was born from the 7th bride, and as such is the only Scp-999 instance capable of overthrowing her king.
Procedure 7-B Ahden:
Developed by researcher Ben Ahden of The Foundation's Secondary Containment Development Unit.
One D-Class is to be given to Scp-XXXX-7 once every month two weeks week five days three days two days day. In the event of the occurrence of Procedure 7-B Ahden, re-implementation of basic containment procedures becomes top priority. With each event in which Procedure 7-B Ahden is performed, the frequency at which a D-Class must be given to Scp-XXXX-7 increases.

NOTICE FROM THE FOUNDATION ADMINISTRATOR
The unprofessionalism of this document is unacceptable, the amount of information that has been scratched out is excessive, data corruption in this document is far too common. For a level six (6) classified document, we are able to recover corrupted data. I understand that the World Health Organization has declared a global pandemic, but W.H.O does not possess knowledge of SCP-XXXX. Additionally, since The Foundation has uploaded its database to a private internet; and because all researchers assigned to this document are Level 05 or higher, all persons editing this document are able to do so from remote locals. As such, there is no excuse for the unprofessionalism of this highly classified document.
