What this is

A bunch of miscellaneous CSS 'improvements' that I, CroquemboucheCroquembouche, use on a bunch of pages because I think it makes them easier to deal with.

The changes this component makes are bunch of really trivial modifications to ease the writing experience and to make documenting components/themes a bit easier (which I do a lot). It doesn't change anything about the page visually for the reader — the changes are for the writer.

I wouldn't expect translations of articles that use this component to also use this component, unless the translator likes it and would want to use it anyway.

This component probably won't conflict with other components or themes, and even if it does, it probably won't matter too much.

Usage

On any wiki:

include :scp-wiki:component:croqstyle

This component is designed to be used on other components. When using on another component, be sure to add this inside the component's iftags block, so that users of your component are not forced into also using Croqstyle.

Related components

Other personal styling components (which change just a couple things):

Personal styling themes (which are visual overhauls):

CSS changes

Reasonably-sized footnotes

Stops footnotes from being a million miles wide, so that you can actually read them.

.hovertip { max-width: 400px; }

Monospace edit/code

Makes the edit textbox monospace, and also changes all monospace text to Fira Code, the obviously superior monospace font.

@import url('https://fonts.googleapis.com/css2?family=Fira+Code:wght@400;700&display=swap');

:root { --mono-font: "Fira Code", Cousine, monospace; }
#edit-page-textarea, .code pre, .code p, .code, tt, .page-source { font-family: var(--mono-font); }
.code pre * { white-space: pre; }
.code *, .pre * { font-feature-settings: unset; }

Teletype backgrounds

Adds a light grey background to <tt> elements (text), so code snippets stand out more.

tt {
 background-color: var(--swatch-something-bhl-idk-will-fix-later, #f4f4f4);
 font-size: 85%;
 padding: 0.2em 0.4em;
 margin: 0;
 border-radius: 6px;
}

No more bigfaces

Stops big pictures from appearing when you hover over someone's avatar image, because they're stupid and really annoying and you can just click on them if you want to see the big version.

.avatar-hover { display: none !important; }

Breaky breaky

Any text inside a div with class nobreak has line-wrapping happen between every letter.

.nobreak { word-break: break-all; }

Code colours

Add my terminal's code colours as variables. Maybe I'll change this to a more common terminal theme like Monokai or something at some point, but for now it's just my personal theme, which is derived from Tomorrow Night Eighties.

Also, adding the .terminal class to a fake code block as div class="code terminal" gives it a sort of pseudo-terminal look with a dark background. Doesn't work with code, because Wikidot inserts a bunch of syntax highlighting that you can't change yourself without a bunch of CSS. Use it for non-code code snippets only.

Quick tool to colourise a 'standard' Wikidot component usage example with the above vars: link

:root {
 --c-bg: #393939;
 --c-syntax: #e0e0e0;
 --c-comment: #999999;
 --c-error: #f2777a;
 --c-value: #f99157;
 --c-symbol: #ffcc66;
 --c-string: #99cc99;
 --c-operator: #66cccc;
 --c-builtin: #70a7df;
 --c-keyword: #cc99cc;
}

.terminal, .terminal > .code {
 color: var(--c-syntax);
 background: var(--c-bg);
 border: 0.4rem solid var(--c-comment);
 border-radius: 1rem;
}

Debug mode

Draw lines around anything inside .debug-mode. The colour of the lines is red but defers to CSS variable --debug-colour.

You can also add div.debug-info.over and div.debug-info.under inside an element to annotate the debug boxes — though you'll need to make sure to leave enough vertical space that the annotation doesn't overlap the thing above or below it.

…like this!

.debug-mode, .debug-mode *, .debug-mode *::before, .debug-mode *::after {
 outline: 1px solid var(--debug-colour, red);
 position: relative;
}
.debug-info {
 position: absolute;
 left: 50%;
 transform: translateX(-50%);
 font-family: 'Fira Code', monospace;
 font-size: 1rem;
 white-space: nowrap;
}
.debug-info.over { top: -2.5rem; }
.debug-info.under { bottom: -2.5rem; }
.debug-info p { margin: 0; }

TALES

The ship's bow lurched as the strong stormy waves pushed it to the side, causing everyone contained within it to cling on to the nearest handhold.

Mauci, twenty summers old, wrapped his arms around the old wooden mast, his Asiatic features, a mixture of traits from his Mongol father and Chinese mother, staying stalwart and brave against the hard slaps of the sea. Around him, numerous other young and middle-aged men ranging from the ages of thirteen to thirty were just as frightened by the weather as he was. Mauci could hear a few of them shout as another pack of fresh rations was tossed overboard, now serving only to feed the fishes and the spirits that lived under the waves.

"Damn them," grumbled Ogudei, one of the older crewmen close to him that was clinging to a wooden barrel of Arkhi that had been bolted with hempen ropes to the deck. He leveled a finger forward, his face angered as he grunted. "We've been starving out in the open sea for months, and we still haven't found a landing place without that."

Ahead of the ship, the Japanese mainland, the place where the great Kublai Khan had dared to invade seven years previous, beckoned to the fleet as the waves tossed them up and down. Where Ogudei was pointing, Mauci could see an array of two meter high stone walls protecting the coast line, barely visible in the open stormy sea.

"What do you mean?" Mauci said, his legs trembling unsteadily as he made his way beside Ogudei. "Surely the Khan will be able to find a way."

Ogudei looked at the youth beside him like one would look at a foolish child. "You blind, boy?" He said, his dark eyes meeting his. "It's hopeless for anyone to find a spot. The Shintoist bastards made sure of that."

He gestured to a ship in the distance that had crashed into the rocks a day earlier. "Soon," he said, his voice gruff. "We'll all be like that."

Mauci sat up straight, his gaze now just as piercing as the older man's. "No, we won't." He looked back towards the mainland. His voice lowered to an uncertain whisper. "We won't."

Ogudei sat up and looked back at the youth. Annoyance colored his eyes. "Then keep it in your thick skull, teneg." With that, he stomped off.

Thunder echoed above the clouds as Mauci sat silently, turning the sailor's words around in his head. The man's last insult had done no effect on him, where normally it would've provoked him to a fight.

He has a point, he thought. A good one.

Mauci looked at what remained of their fleet. Some had holes in their masts, or no masts at all. Others had great wounds in their hulls, and a few had already crashed into the treacherous rocks. Rations being distributed to the troops in the fleet and the sailors that crewed the crafts were already being spread thin, and would become thinner as time passed by.

He sighed.

We need to turn back.

Suddenly, the grey skies overhead turned even darker. The previously distant thunder seemed to boom on top of them.

Mauci turned his head upward to the horizon in front of him.

On the shore, a figure stood on top of the wall that hadn't been there before. Even from the distance that the fleet held from the walls, the man's chanting was audible.

Under normal circumstances, Mauci wouldn't care less. The practices and prayers of heathens were below him, no matter what they were. But the sudden change in weather compelled him to listen closer, trying to see if the fool on the walls was conducting actual sorcery or not. Other men began to crowd around the bow of the ship, blocking Mauci's view. Yet nothing could stop the man's chanting from entering his ears.

Then, Mauci heard the howl of the wind, distant yet still unbelievably loud. He could hear the Shinto man chanting even louder, as if he was trying to be heard amongst the gusts of the stormy wind. Immediately, the ships of the fleet began moving to the left, despite the fact that most of them had already folded up their masts. Each craft began quaking under the power of the wind, as if the gusts were ready to take them someplace else.

Mauci's heart beat loudly in his chest as his gaze went from the direction of the man on the shore to the origin of the sudden gusts.

In the background, Mauci was still able to hear the sound of the priest's voice. He was chanting only one word now, and every sailor could clearly hear what it was.

"KAMIKAZE! KAMIKAZE!" the man shouted over and over. "KAMIKAZE! KAMIKAZE!"

Mauci watched as a storm made up of multiple snaking winds began to form in front of his eyes. The storm looked like a coil of screaming white snakes made up of pure air, slowly picking up its pace as it inched forward closer to the Mongol fleet.

The effect was electric as men immediately came to their senses and started jumping off the ships. Chaos ruled the fleet as its frightened sailors and soldiers began fleeing from the crafts. Only a few brave sailors dared stay, the captains of each ship the most prominent ones.

In the cacophony of panicked screaming, Mauci's eyes met Ogudei's, who was holding on to one of the masts. The older man smiled at Mauci, the panic that would have normally plagued a man in his position completely gone from his face.

"I told you so, Mauci!" Ogudei shouted. "I told you so!"

Unable to come to terms with what was happening, Mauci broke his gaze and turned his view to where the storm was. Far-away ships began breaking down with the turning and tossing of the waves, the coiling ball of snakes that was the newly-developed storm crushing the wooden transports under the overwhelming strength of its winds.

"KAMIKAZE!" the man on the shore shouted still, his voice now growing hoarse with each word. "KAMIKAZE!"

Mauci closed his eyes, sitting on the wet wooden deck.

The storm grew closer with each passing moment, the screams and hisses of the white snakes that made up its winds now deafening in the short distance from the ship to the destructive storm itself.

"Kamikaze," Mauci whispered to himself. "Kamikaze."

In a split second, the ship overturned violently, and he felt himself sinking deep into the water, the air being robbed from his lungs.

He remembered sinking deeper into the abyss, the endless expanse dark and unforgiving.

He remembered the salt of the sea burning his eyes as he opened them, awakening him to the reality of his impending doom.

He remembered kicking desperately upwards towards the light of the beckoning sky, his lungs screaming in agony as he swam up and further up.

Then, in an instant, his face felt the hard stone of the Japanese sea walls, alongside the corpses and dying bodies of dozens of his fellow sailors- their gazes vacant, their tongues lolling open.

He looked around slowly, his body numb from the cold of the abyssal sea. Everywhere around him floated bodies numbering now not in the dozens, but in the hundreds. He was alone in a floating land of corpses, dying among the dead.

Then, he heard hollow steps on the sea wall that he now so desperately clung to. Tired, he turned his head upward to look at the man that now walked above him, his head turned to the side as he looked at him askance.

The Shintoist priest responsible for their doom gazed at him from the top of the seawall for a moment longer, before opening his mouth to speak a bastardized form of common Mandarin.

"You are alive among many," The priest said, leaning down to take a closer look at the sailor. "Even when the Kamikaze has ensured that you will not live. You are either very lucky… or very blessed."

He laughed, gesturing to unseen people behind him as he did. At his command, a number of men began reaching out to take him, pulling him up by his outstretched arms towards the safety of the sea wall.

As the Japanese men set him down on top of the hard stone, the Shintoist priest looked at him with a grin on his face.

"We will take you in, Mongol," He said, a grin on his face. "and we will see you for who you truly are."

Abnormal events report

Reported by: Dr. Li

Position of reporter:
☑ Researcher
☐ Agent
☐ Department/Site Director
☐ Logistics Personnel

Urgency: Low High

Details:

I found that my memory is false.

It's definitely not because of my bad memory. I remember clearly that I spent a very happy childhood with my parents in my hometown; Just when I was about to call the my parents to greet, I found out that my father had died long before I was born. And my family can't support the expenditure that I remember.

There are many things more serious and distinctive than these. In a word, the abnormality between memory and reality makes me quite sure that my memory has been tampered intentionally. I feel uneasy at the thought of the possibilities behind it.

So I apply for and am willing to accept all the inspections of the Foundation. If it's just because of my mental problems, and it's the most relaxed result.

Date: 05/13/2021

Status: Accepted.

Note: The urgency has been changed to "High". - Dr. George,05/22/2021

After this abnormal event was taken seriously, Li was examined comprehensively and finally found SCP-6601 that parasitic on Li.

Li further reported that after the object was discovered, it continued to communicate with him by changing memory1, show the fear of being found. After Li tried to communicate with it in the way of reminiscence, SCP-6601 finally expressed its willingness to be interviewed by the Foundation.

Addendum.6601-A - Interview results:

Foreword: SCP-6601 changed Li's memory in the whole process, leaving a response to the question by interviewer in Li's memory. Li spoke on its behalf.

Interviewer: Dr. George

Interviewee: Li (And SCP-6601)

Information:

 • SCP-6601 claims that it has no malice.
 • SCP-6601 can be transferred through the parasitifer's physical contact with other human beings.
 • SCP-6601 claims that the only effect it can have on the parasitifer is to change the memory.
 • SCP-6601 claims to be able to parasitize on all organisms, but favors humans.
 • SCP-6601 claims to change Li's memory to "give him a happy childhood."

[In the interview, Dr. George expressed doubts about the above statements.]

 • Not known if SCP-6601 has similar(Object began not to respond).
 • Not known how many people that SCP-6601 parasitized(Object began not to respond).

Afterword: After further communication failed, SCP-6601 was forced to transfer Li into D-5186 under the threat of death. Special containment procedures were then formulated.

Note: What does it mean that an unknown entity that can change human memory wanders around the world? I think it is self-evident. I propose to upgrade the object to refer to its entire ethnic group, and reclassify it as keter, and then take prompt action.

- Dr.George

Addendum.6601.B - Researcher's notes

It left such a piece of paper on a desk in my memory before it left me. Every word on it is very clearly imprinted in my mind.

I have transcribed the original text here for reference. Please keep it.

- Li
Thank you. Very much.

I'm sorry for the trouble I've caused you.

I'll start by answering the question I wasn't able to answer because I was too fear: I don't know whether I have a similar, I've never met one. As for this body, it is my 25843rd home.

In fact, I can safely stay in my first home until she dies, and then look for opportunities to move to the next place safely and unconsciously. But as you already know, I live with human memory; And I was affected by her memory.

Her childhood was miserable. Parents do not love, relatives do not love, and there is no reason for discrimination and ridicule in my opinion. Fear, uneasiness, melancholy, inferiority, all of these, shrouded in her whole childhood.

It directly affects her now. No one saw how many sharp knives were inserted behind this seemingly happy girl when she is showing to others. No one. I can't figure out, I really can't figure out, I can't figure out why other people treat her that way, and I can't figure out where the love and care she should have when she was a child went.

She saw a sentence in the book one day, and I was stung by that sentence.

"A lucky person's lifetime is cured by childhood, while an unlucky person's lifetime is spent curing childhood."

…I interfered. I gave her a happy childhood within the acceptable range.

She's getting better. Really better, obviously better. This is it.

But, when I think that there may be more people like her before, I can't rest assured. Since then, I began to move frequently, try my best to change and improve.

It's a pity… I tried too hard on this one. There are so many mistakes that make you found me.

I'm sorry. I'm really sorry.

But I don't regret.

Incident 4469-N5T:

Beginning Incident Interview File Log..

<Begin Log, 2000>

Dr James Karter: Please State your name and rank, for the log, of course.

SCU Lead General Jackson: Jackson, Lead of The 4469 SCU.
Dr James Karter: Alright, Lead Jackson, This is about Incident N5T.

SCU Lead General Jackson: I guessed. Anyways i'll get to the incident.

SCU Lead General Jackson: Alright, so at 2:30 AM i was on shift and i heard some of the Security on site shout it was spreading so i ran out.. and of course nobody was ever there to see it spread so it was a surprise, Honestly i dont think we ever thought it spread.

Dr James Karter: alright, So what happened next?

SCU Lead General Jackson: so we aproached it and a Human walked out from the Wall.
It attacked our men. Small arms fire did nothing to the thing, it was throwing men left and right.. soon more followed.. we where honestly scared but my assistant ordered a turret to fire.
that killed one.

Dr James Karter: Alright. Interesting.. I'm guessing the same, throwing back and forth, left and right killed your assistant?

SCU Lead General Jackson: No… Much, much worse.

Dr James Karter: Elaborate.

SCU Lead General Jackson: Alright, so once we tore through those Red things, something bigger came out, so big it was bigger then the walls. Soon we fired at it with everything we had.
It bounced off. Nothing harmed it. it tore right through and attacked my assistant.. It f█cking tore him to peices.

Dr James Karter: What next?

SCU Lead General Jackson: They left. the attackers where gone within 5 seconds there was a red flash and nothing. it was terrifying, nobody knew if it was real. the bodies where gone, the damage was gone.. there was no trace.

Dr James Karter: Alright, i'll end the log here.

<End Log, 2130 hours.>

SCP-XXX-1.

Special containment procedures: Any applications, businesses, or services found using an SCP-XXX for commercial purposes are to be purchased and surveyed by The Foundation. Any notification, advertisement, or products created by an SCP-XXX are to be archived and collected for examination followed by immediate cancellation of said product or advertisement. At this point and time SCP-XXX is of public knowledge however its anomalous traits are not, and thus are still not to be discussed with anyone of the general public. In the event of the general public becoming aware of SCP-XXX's anomalous abilities, it is to be ignored and played off as an elaborate joke.

Description: SCP-XXX's are cartoon-ish mascots resembling members of the Aves family,.Birds. with bright and vibrate colors, bearing minimal or simplistic designs. SCP-XXX's are oftentimes found residing on "Clipart" or "Free-to-use-image" sites to lure in small or non-wealthy business owners in search of a mascot for their business. If an SCP-XXX is selected as the mascot for a business, the business in question will immediately begin to rise in popularity and sales, regardless of the product(s) or application(s) being sold. Once said business reaches a certain threshold of popularity, the SCP-XXX in question will seemingly begin to gain a digital omnipresent sentience and gain complete control over any applications, websites, and advertisements associated with the business. Shortly after gaining these anomalous abilities, the SCP-XXX will begin to create accounts and emails under the business's mascot's name and will attempt run the business as if it were its own. At first the SCP-XXX will proceed to be kind and friendly, and will usually reward or compliment employees of the business to help increase moral and overall work-flow. However if sales or popularity of the business begin to drop SCP-XXX will start to become aggressively violent, chaotic, and sadistic. The SCP-XXX will stop at nothing to increase motivation and work ethic in employees of the business, going as far as hiring mercenaries to abduct, torture, and even murder close friends and family of any employees working under business's name. If sales or popularity still do not increase after this point, the SCP-XXX will begin to attack "ex-consumers" of the business's product(s) or application(s) with passive aggressive notifications and emails. If sales or popularity are still not increased after that, SCP-XXX will start threatening and blackmailing employees until they create unorthodox advertisements or commercials containing profanity, graphic nudity, violence, torture, and murder. Once the business in question "peaks" in popularity the SCP-XXX will oftentimes become frustrated and will attempt to fire any and all human staff and will begin to purposefully sabotage the business until it shuts down permanently. After that point the SCP-XXX will seemingly lose its digital omnipresence and will proceed to vanish into obscurity, never to be seen again.

Addendum-1: Below is a list of business purchased by The Foundation while following SCP-XXX's special containment procedures. Every business listed is either harboring an SCP-XXX, has the potential to be harboring an SCP-XXX, or was harboring an SCP-XXX at one point and time. Parts of this list may be classified or not fully updated:

BUSINESS PURCHASED DATE OF PURCHASE STATUS OF BUSINESS ITEM NUMBER NOTES
Kookie Hider™ See Incident-XXX-1 Foreclosed SCP-XXX-1 SCP-XXX-1 is currently neutralized and no longer poses a threat to the general public.
Twitter™ October 8th, 2017 Active SCP-XXX-2 As of right now sales and popularity in Twitter™ is high enough to satisfy SCP-XXX-2, thus causing it to be less of a threat.
Duolingo™ April 14th, 2019 Active SCP-XXX-3 SCP-XXX-3 was only brought to the foundations attention after multiple images of passive aggressive emails and notifications from the Doulingo application began to swarm around the internet. Proper Containment procedures where followed, and the general public believed it to be nothing more then a large scale ironic joke.
Kellogg's™ May 27th, 2019 Active N/A Kellogg's™ was purchased due to its ownership rights over a multitude of chaotic bird themed mascots like "Toucan Sam" or "Sonny the Cuckoo Bird" however at this time no mascots under the Kellogg's™ name have been confirmed instances of SCP-XXX.
Nestlé™ December 21st, 2020 Active SCP-XXX-4, SCP-XXX-5, and SCP-XXX-6 As of right now it is believed that Nestlé™ harbors the oldest example of SCP-XXX, dating all the way back to the late 1800's. For a while it was believed that SCP-XXX-4 was accompanied by two other examples of SCP-XXX (SCP-XXX-5 and SCP-XXX-6), Due to the Nestlé™ logo containing three bird mascots instead of one. This however has not been confirmed and thus the two other birds have been classified as "non-anomalous."

Incident-XXX-1 / Incident: Kookie hider!™

On June 15th of 2015, Several college friends banded together to create a new application for a semester final. The application was used to attempt to track and hide internet cookies that a multitude of websites began to store in the early 2000's. The application was a huge success, to the point that immediately after graduating college many of the friends decided to form an entire business around the application. The business and application where then named "Kookie hider!" While the business was being created the head of the new business (Max Garrison) had found a mascot on an anonymous free to use image site. A small blue bird of prey named "Kookie" A.K.A SCP-XXX-1. Approximately 3 months into the business's life time, they had already generated triple of what there expected revenue was.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class:Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: all four of the children that make up SCP-XXXX must have shock collars as it WILL be necessary for anything and MUST dog muzzles on them as to protect any staff member but in case an attack by SCP-XXXX takes place to any staff member, they would be terminated on sight even as soon as signs would start appearing. SCP-XXXX must be fed regularly raw meat everyday as that way to protect the doctor who's training/teaching them and so SCP-XXXX can learn about cooked meat over time.

Description: The Children are are the ages of 10 to 15 years of age and have the height and weight of the ages as well and they have wolf features like ears, tail and feet as well,There are 2 boys and 2 girls in this group of children.
1 boy has black hair and blue tips but his blue tips had a glow similar to a bioluminescent plant and golden eyes, the second boy has dark brown hair and golden eyes,the first girl matches the dark brown haired boy exactly just the genders are flipped and has smoke like abilities, the second girl in the ground has flame like hair as it doesn't just have the colors of a flame but it also moves and acts like flames as well and has golden eyes to match the others.

Addendum: A group of kids from an orphanage that were taken in by a shady organisation that performed many experiments on them to deferring results. Some died, others weren't so lucky… these kids were the victims of the latest and most extreme tests that forever changed them as their "owners" searched for a way to ascend humanity.

THIS ARTICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY AN ANOMALOUS OBJECT BUT HAS BEEN RECLASSIFIED.
(see Addendum-XXXX-01)

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be monitored by foundation security under the guise of local police. The public is allowed to observe and utilize SCP-XXXX as a tourist attraction. Any loud, disturbing, or insulting guests are to be removed from the premises. A small, foundation security base should be inserted inside the ███████ city's police department, which will be referred to as Outpost-186. This is where foundation security should observe SCP-XXXX with monitoring devices.

Statue

SCP-XXXX-1 during Phase 1, in containment.

If at any point, SCP-XXXX enters Phase 2, a perimeter should be set up around SCP-XXXX, in which SCP-XXXX is not visible. The public is to not be let into this perimeter, under the guise of plaza maintenance. Any attempt to enter should be immediately quelled by security agents. Those who enter and are caught should then be forced out of the perimeter. While in Phase 2, any individuals who try to get photo or video evidence of SCP-XXXX should be stopped. Any photo or video evidence should be destroyed or wiped from the device it was taken on. These procedures should be held throughout the phases until SCP-XXXX returns to Phase 1.

If SCP-XXXX enters Phase 3, a pre-prepared gift basket of meats (or ancient war equipment, preferably meats) should be delivered to SCP-XXXX from Outpost 186. Meanwhile, a firing line should be set up, surrounding SCP-XXXX. If the gift basket arrives in time, the firing line is to only be taken down after the arch mirror descends. If the gift basket is not on time, the firing line is to be notified and should prepare their weapons. All SCP-XXXX-2 are to be shot unless specified by Dr. Maddox2

Description: SCP-XXXX is a statue constructed of Parian marble3, that is approximately 15 feet tall, including the stone stand it sits on. The statue's stand has a plaque inscription on it, that changes along with the statue. It is located in ███████, Greece and has been confirmed to be of Greek origin. The sculpture depicts a man in ancient Greek attire, sitting on a podium. The podium has been observed to change itself when in stressful situations. These situations include, but are not limited to: When the statue is under attack, the land surrounding it is being damaged, and/or the plaque is being defaced.

SCP-XXXX changes in phases. These phases have been observed to not always go in order (e.x SCP-XXXX going from Phase 1 to Phase 3). The phases are as follows.

Phase 1 is SCP-XXXX's continuous state. Nothing abnormal occurs in this state. The plaque reads, "Brothers, the sun rises. Be at rest, for the time will come when the marble speaks."

Advancement to Phase 2 can be induced by being reckless around SCP-XXXX, shouting insults or profanities near and at SCP-XXXX, and by attacking any part of SCP-XXXX (statue itself, the plague, and/or the stand)

Addendum-XXXX-01: The following is an incident log that occurred 6 months before the first discovery of SCP-XXXX. Any staff involved with this incident are to not be reprimanded, as the occurrence of the third phase of SCP-XXXX was not known.

10:04: Security agents reported a band of vandals that spray-painted on the plaque of SCP-XXXX. Security staff apprehended the vandals.
10:06: Security agents had apprehended half of the individuals and began to follow the containment procedures for Phase 2.
10:09: SCP-XXXX entered Phase 2. Phase 2 containment procedures had been completed.
10:11: Agents were notified of the remaining vandals, who broken past the perimeter and had begun to deface the plaque.
10:12: Security apprehended the remaining vandals and continued to enforce Phase 2 containment procedures.
10:22: Security staff we're notified of SCP-XXXX advancing to Phase 3. Agents began to investigate the change.
10:24: After an agent read the plaque, all other agents were notified.
10:26: Captain Loukas Vidalellis ordered security agents to be on high alert and more directly guard SCP-XXXX.
10:52: The archway rose, Loukas Vidalellis ordered any remaining security agents to report to SCP-XXXX.
11:00 Barriers were set up, under suggestion from security agent Daniil Pavlelis.
11:02: SCP-XXXX-2 began to exit the archway. Agents opened fire after SCP-XXXX-2 rushed forward.
11:05: SCP-XXXX-2 stops exiting the archway. Security agents remained alert.
11:06: The archway descended.

The following statement was made, after this incident.

After careful consideration from me and my colleagues, this anomalous object should be reclassified as an SCP. I and my colleagues have already assigned a lead researcher to this SCP, that should utilize Outpost 186 as a research center. Extra resources have been assigned to Outpost 186, to allow this new SCP to be contained with ease.

- Janet Glydwyn, Reclassification Committee member.

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Thaumiel

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently inaccessible except for three individuals connected to SCP-XXXX. The three individuals are tasked with protecting SCP-XXXX; the 05-Council believes that they have no desire to harm SCP-XXXX or reveal its existence, and will abide by standing truce4. All media reports and academic journals papers related to SCP-XXXX are to be examined for potential accuracy. All organizations and individuals investigating SCP-XXXX existence are to be kept under surveillance by Foundation agents. Any information found accurate must be expunged or discredited or amnestics must be administered after questioning of those involved.

All decisions involving SCP-XXXX must be approved by O5-1 or the Administrator.5

Description: SCP-XXXX is a tree of undetermined species. Its height is estimated to be somewhere between 500-800 feet tall with an estimated 8-foot wide trunk. SCP-XXXX’s anomalous abilities restore and maintain Earth’s biome, keeping it in a minimal livable state. SCP-XXXX is able to restore Earth from a nearly destroyed state.
SCP-XXXX-A is a pocket dimension with SCP-XXXX in its center. SCP-XXXX-A appears to be a forest of undetermined size. The forest is home to non-anomalous flora and fauna. Fauna and Flora have been determined to be similar to examples found on Earth along with examples of believed to be extinct fauna and flora.
SCP-XXXX-B are the three individuals connected to SCP-XXXX, identified as the Gardener, Greenskeeper, and Caretaker. Their connection provides them a means to enter SCP-XXXX-A when in the presence of sufficient flora. The link they share with SCP-XXXX provides some protection and healing, such as restoring their minds and undoing other ailments that would prevent them from carrying out Procedure Greenhouse6. The link is transferred via title upon the previous title holder dying and a new individual taking it. The Greenskeeper and Caretaker have an apprentice on standby in case of sudden death. Each role is attributed to a member of a different species. The Gardener is human; the current holder of the title is O5-1. The Greenskeeper role is held by an instance of SCP-1000. The Caretaker role is held by an entity from the forest we do not name.
SCP-XXXX bears fruits similar to pomegranates, dubbed SCP-XXXX-C. SCP-XXXX-C a citrus fruit that when consumed will restore one’s body to peak condition. SCP-XXXX-C will begin to rapidly decay within 12-36 hours after it is removed from SCP-XXXX. Once SCP-XXXX-C begins to decay, it begins losing its anomalous properties.

Visual analysis of text found in SCP-XXXX suggests that some sections were written several centuries ago. Analysis confirms that they were all written by the same person, some sections written decades to centuries apart.
It was written in one of the earliest dialects known to the Foundation.
